Path

In this paper I present the prepositional system of Persian. I show that Persian prepositions can be divided into three classes (Class 1, Class 2a and Class 2b) which exhibit distinct syntactic behavior. Then I examine the question of the categorial status of Class 2 prepo-sitions and demonstrate that they are not to be regarded as nouns. Finally I present the extended PP projection of Persian spatial prepo-sitions and argue for a feature-based analysis of the properties they manifest.

ABSTRACT Entrepreneurship intention from college student nowadays is increasing. The development of Information and Communication Technology such as social media which widely followed by college students has the potential to support that intention. This research examined selection the way to start business based on social media features at Telkom University student. The results showed that the students are divided into two groups, students who understand social media features in accordance with their perceptions (Group One) and students who understand that social media features in very accordance with their perceptions (Group Two). Students more interested in pioneering new business as a way to start a business rather than franchise. By using MANOVA, this research found a relation between way to start business with social media features known. Student of Group Two had a higher confidence in selecting the way to start business compared with Group One. This research also found that the most frequently used social media by students, either Facebook, Twitter, Instagram or Path does not affect the way to start their business later.

This chapter introduces a brief history review of Internet with focus on its original conception. It’s important to remember such initial ideas because they were the basis of Internet architecture, they are still at the core of today’s Internet and they can be helpful to rethink new design requirements nowadays. Hence, we start by the initial packet-based network protocols and their evolution to TCP/IP.

Domination in graphs is an emerging area of research in recent years and has been studied extensively. An introduction and an extensive overview on domination in graphs and related topics is surveyed and detailed in the two books by Haynes et al. [1, 2].  Recently dominating functions is receiving much attention. They give rise to an important classes of graphs and deep structural problems. In this paper we discuss some results on minimal dominating functions of corona product graph of a path with a star.

RESUMO: discuto, neste artigo, os tratamentos para as expressões espaciais nos sistemas de Jackendoff (1983) e de Pantcheva (2011); e os comparo quanto à forma pela qual implementam três características que julgo relevantes: (i) a contribuição das preposições para a construção do significado dos predicados; (ii) a anexação dos morfemas espaciais nas estruturas sintáticas; e a (iii) ontologia dos morfemas espaciais.

ABSTRACT: I discuss, in this article, the treatments for spatial expressions in the systems of Jackendoff (1983) and Pantcheva (2011); and I compare them as to how they implement three characteristics that I deem relevant: (i) the contribution of prepositions to the construction of the meaning of predicates; (ii) the attachment of spatial morphemes to syntactic structures; and (iii) the ontology of spatial morphemes.

L’instauration, à la fin des années soixante, d’une mixité généralisée du système scolaire français a permis l’essor remarquable des scolarités féminines et s’est accompagnée d’une plus grande réussite scolaire des filles. Pourtant, cette réussite demeure paradoxale : bien que plus précoces et plus brillantes que les garçons, les filles restent relativement absentes des filières d’excellence où s’affirme la priorité accordée à l’enseignement des maths et de la physique. Cette absence est généralement expliquée par une inaptitude des femmes à la pratique des sciences. Cet article vise à montrer comment la construction sociale de cette inaptitude est un effet de la domination masculine et quels sont les enjeux sociaux de la pénétration des bastions masculins par un nombre, certes encore trop faible, mais en même temps non négligeable de femmes.

The abundance of social networking sites (SNS) allows people to express themselves online. Balancing a desire to share personal and private information, consumers also need to control access to their messages, photos, and other disclosures. This paper focuses on the concept of privacy in social network site named " Path " which popular in the Indonesian urban community. By using an ethnographic approach, this study shows that in contrast to other SNS, the majority of respondents implement several strategies to manage their privacy in Path. In order to achieve the level of privacy that would make them comfortable, respondents are usually more selective in their friending behaviors. However, some also using Path in more or less the same way as other SNS. Furthermore, this study investigates the boundaries between private and public information shared in Path. While Path is known as a private space, there are several issues that are considered as inappropriate or unsettling – for example, such topics on sex, religion, politics, and personal problems in marriage and family. Lastly, this study discusses the nature of privacy settings which are dependent on personal preferences and idiosyncrasies. In broader contexts, this study shows that besides the technological aspects, socio-cultural norms also play an important role in the concept of online privacy.

A Path finding algorithm has been proposed for grid based graph, that finds the least cost path from a given initial node to goal node.
