Health and diet experts have claimed that eating proteins and fats in big quantity can be helpful in losing the weight but with the reduced amount of high carbs foods.

What is the Atkins Diet?
It is basically a low-carbs diet termed as Atkins Diet after the name of the physician Dr. Robert C. Atkins who promoted it in the year 1972. He also wrote a book in the same year to guide people with the diet.
The Atkins diet allows minimum intake of the carbohydrates so that body’s metabolism boosts which helps in the burning of body’s fat to produce energy and body undergo a process of ketosis. Ketosis process starts with the lower insulin levels in the body causing the consumption and burning of the fats to generate ketone bodies. On contrary, consumption of higher carbohydrates increases blood sugar levels thus accumulation of the fats
