ACCOMPLISHMENT REPORT FOR SUSTAINABLE AND

ECO-FRIENDLY SCHOOL

INTRODUCTION

Eco-friendly literally means earth-friendly or not harmful to the environment

is a great challenge to all of us especially to the government, as a response to the
situation, innovative methods and appropriate strategies are introduced and
implemented on environmental issues. A shared responsibility is needed not only
of the national and local government but of the barangay, schools and civil society
as well.
In the Province of South Cotabato, Department of Environment and Natural
Resources encourages all of its constituents especially from the elementary and
secondary schools both public and private, who have full access with their
students, whose thorough word campaigns and modeling help in the
implementation of its policies. They are the ones responsible in relaying to the
parents the importance of Environmental practices in every homes and the
community itself.
In Polomolok Creek Integrated School, Ecolological policies, programs and
activities were implemented. It’s a program that all are very supportive and
cooperative.
Environmental program wise, the Municipality of Polomolok, thru the
Municipal Mayor, Barangay Captain and the Officers of the Eco-friendly and their
Enforcers worked hand in hand for it’s full implementation. PCIS see to it that they
are following the policies.
Eventually, through seminars, lectures, and close-monitoring, this ecological
movement which are meant to be practice in everyday lives sink in into their
minds and hearts and became a habit into them, the protection and ecological
conservation.
Lastly, thru holistic and well-defined school ecological programs, Polomolok
Creek Integrated School, has a clean and green environment and tagged as one of
the best school in the Municipality of Polomolok.
