    a) Find the number that is 8392 less than 15,896


    Sometimes when the numbers in a problem sum are large or the words are
    confusing, we donot know how to solve them . It helps to think of the problem
    again using smaller numbers.
    Think: Take 5 instead of 8392 and 8 instead of 15,896
    Find the number that is 5
    less than 8. The answer is
