In OFDM-IDMA scheme, intersymbol interference (ISI) is resolved by the OFDM layer and multiple access interference (MAI) is suppressed by the IDMA layer at low cost . However OFDM-IDMA scheme suffers high peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) problem. For removing high PAPR problem a hybrid multiple access scheme SC-FDM-IDMA has been proposed. In this paper, bit error rate (BER) performance comparison of SC-FDM-IDMA scheme, OFDM-IDMA scheme and IDMA scheme have been duly presented.  Moreover, the BER performance of various subcarrier mapping methods for SC-FDM-IDMA scheme as well as other results with variation of different parameters have also been demonstrated. Finally simulation result for BER performance improvement has been shown employing BCH code. All the simulation results demonstrate the suitability of SC-FDM-IDMA scheme for wireless communication under AWGN channel environment.

Filter bank multicarrier (FBMC) is a novel next-generation data transfer technique. FBMC has a large number of benefits over conventional orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) techniques. The FBMC scheme suffers from imaginary interference, which degrades the bit error rate (BER) performance at the receiver. In the recent past, inter carrier interference (ICI)-free Alamouti-coded FBMC frame and block repetition schemes for BER improvement were discussed. However, in the analysis, various interfering terms are neglected. In this work to reduce ICI and inter symbol interference (ISI), the concept of inverse filtering is applied while considering other interfering terms. Inverse filtering can be used to reduce the negative impacts of the ICI and ISI. This is determined by mathematical modelling that includes the ICI, ISI, and other interfering parameters. The simulation is performed in MATLABR software. The obtained BER at an SNR of 15 dB is 2.3 × 10−4.The simulation results are also compared with some of the recent methods, and it has been found that the proposed scheme is better in comparison to the considered recent methods.

AbstractThis manuscript reports results of density functional theory (DFT) investigation on ground-state and electronic excited-state structures of 2,4-dinitroanisole (DNAN) in the bulk water solution. The cam-B3LYP functional along with 6-311G(d,p) basis set was used, and time-dependent DFT (TD-DFT) method was used for excited-state calculations. The effect of bulk water was modeled using the CPCM approach. Nature of potential energy surfaces (PESs) was ascertained through the harmonic vibrational frequency analysis; all optimized geometries were found to be minima at the respective PESs. It was predicted that singlet excited-state geometries are significantly changed compared to the ground state. Further, it was also revealed that irrespective of nature of the electronic singlet excited states, the length of C7O1 bond is increased compared to the ground state. Further, electronic structures and properties consequent to electronic excitations are also discussed.

Visible Light Communication (VLC) is gaining popularity in optical wireless. In conventional OFDM, bi-polar signals having both positive and negative values are considered. However, in optical OFDM uni-polar signals, which have only positive values, are used. Therefore, suitable changes have to be done in conventional OFDM to make it compatible with O-OFDM. These modifications lead to the generation of asymmetrically clipped optical Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (ACO-OFDM) technology. In ACO-OFDM systems Peak to Average Power Ratio (PAPR) is a detrimental effect and should be suppressed. In ACO-OFDM, the estimation of probability density function (pdf) is not straightforward; therefore, a very limited literature is available. In this paper, an attempt is made to estimate pdf and Complimentary Cumulative Distribution Function (CCDF) expression for an ACO-OFDM with intensity modulation and direct detection (IM/DD), and its validity is checked by using simulation results. ...

ABSTRACT The power distribution networks are primary employed, in Power line communication (PLC) system, for transferring data during communication process. For achieving even higher data rate in multiple user environments, researchers have proposed various multiple access schemes for power line communication systems including CDMA and OFDM mechanisms. This paper includes the performance analysis of power line channel with recently proposed multiple access scheme popularly known as Interleave-Division Multiple-Access (IDMA) scheme utilizing unequal power allocation with random and tree based interleaving mechanisms. During the analysis, the simulations have been performed in MATLAB environment. The simulation results demonstrate suitability of IDMA mechanism for powerline communication in comparison to other available mechanisms. Also, tree based interleaver is observed with similar BER performance to that of random interleaver with reduced complexity and bandwidths requirements.

ABSTRACT Interleave Division Multiple Access (IDMA) is a recently proposed technique for multiple access of wireless communication. In this paper we have IDMA for Optical Fiber medium. In IDMA user specific interleaver are assigned to distinguish the various users. Thus, for good BER, low computational complexity, low bandwidth requirement interleaver should be designed cautiously. Although the performance of optical IDMA can be further improved by using various interleaving schemes. In this work the two interleaving scheme (Random Interleaver and Tree Base Interleaver) is compared in terms of computational complexity and memory requirement to store the interleaving sequences.

Underwater communication finds numerous application including oceanographic data collection, pollution, monitoring, offshore exploration, disaster prevention, assisted navigation, tactical, surveillance, and mine reconnaissance. The enabling technology for these applications is acoustic wireless networking. A major challenge for the deployment of UW-ASN is the development of a multiple-access technique and modulation technique tailored for the underwater environment. Typical frequency ranges from 1 Hz to 1 MHz resulting in low data rates. The ever-increasing demand of short- and long-distance communication is leading to further research in the field of underwater communication. In this paper, performance analysis has been done for underwater acoustic (UWA) communication with IDMA scheme using BPSK modulation techniques. fThe simulated system is subjected to additive white Gaussian noise (AWGN) in the channel in uncoded environment using random interleavers in MATLAB environment.

There are a number of factors that enter into the choice of a modulation scheme for use in a wireless application. Performance of a cellular system is dependent on the efficiency of the modulation scheme in use. The performance of M-ary PSK modulations scheme for IDMA technique-based wireless communication system on data bits transmission over additive white Gaussian noise (AWGN) channel are analyzed in terms of bit error probability (BER) as a function of SNR. Based on the results obtained in this study, MPSK are showing better performance for lower modulation order whereas these are inferior with higher M. It will use MatLab 7.9 for simulation and evaluation of BER for IDMA system models, so that the system can go for more suitable phase shift keying (PSK) modulation technique to suit the channel quality. Thus, it can deliver the optimum and efficient data rate to mobile terminal.

ABSTRACT The Interleave-Division Multiple-Access (IDMA) scheme is known for property of orthogonality amongst its user-specific interleavers. The interleavers are, therefore, referred has the core heart of IDMA Transceivers. Now-adays, the IDMA scheme is being thought as a strongest candidate for radio access in cellular mobile communication systems. It is attractive for wireless access due to its numerous advantages over TDMA, FDMA and CDMA and other multiple access schemes. In this paper, IDMA system is being simulated using random interleaver foe each user. On comparing various spreading techniques including repition, Gold code and Walsh code spreading, it is observed from simulation results, that the performance is almost similar for all the spreading mechanisms. However, from implementation point of view, repition spreading is concluded as optimum mechanism because it requires less memory, less computational complexity, easy implementation and also defines larger number of users as compared to Gold code and Walsh code for same spreading length. In this paper, the performance analysis of iterative IDMA receivers have been evaluated with BPSK & QPSK modulation techniques employing random interleavers in uncoded and rate ½ convolutional coded conditions with Additive White Gaussian Noise (AWGN) channel. During the simulation, it has been observed that IDMA system with QPSK modulation techniques employing QPSK outperforms its counterpart BPSK optimally.

This paper discusses various issues in reactive power management in deregulated electrical market. Reactive power procurement model is proposed which ensure secure and reliable operation of deregulated power system. A two-level framework for the operation of a competitive market for reactive power services is considered. It is argued that the first-level, i.e., reactive power procurement, be on a seasonal basis while the second level, i.e., reactive power dispatch, be close to real-time operation. This framework can be adopted for any type electricity market. It can be implemented in Indian restructuring electricity market in the near future.

Optical fiber networking is the central solution for long distance, high capacity transmission system since optical fiber has very wide capacity, low loss and low power. To fully employ the single mode optical fiber various multiple Access techniques like-wavelength division multiple access (WDMA), optical time division multiple access (OTDMA) and optical code division multiple access (OCDMA) can be used. But with the need of faster and more reliable transmission an appropriate multiple accesses technique is required to share this vast bandwidth. Interleave division multiple access technique (IDMA) is the best solution. The Performance of IDMA is based on interleave so Interleave design issue should be taken seriously. If any interleaves satisfy the following two criteria, it will achieve the practicality- 1) the interleave is easy to generate if the transmitter and receiver need not to communicate many bits in order to agree upon an interleave, and 2) interleaves should be orthogonal.

In wireless communication, fading problem is mitigated with help of diversity techniques. This paper presents Maximal Ratio Combining (MRC) diversity approach to uproot the fading problem in interleave-division multiple-access (EDMA) scheme. The approach explains maximal ratio combining diversity technique, with one transmit and two received antennas in low rate coded environment. In the simulations, random interleaver as well tree based interleaver has been taken for study. The simulation results demonstrates that in both environments, tree based interleavers outperforms the random interleaver. Significant improvements in performance of IDMA scheme is observed with MRC diversity technique.

ABSTRACT In communication world, optical wireless channels are well known for availability of huge bandwidth apart from its suitability for high rate indoor data transfer. Also the researchers have reported in literature the superior performance of Interleave-Division Multiple-Access (IDMA) scheme to conventional Code-Division Multiple-Access (CDMA) scheme in terms of complexity and user count along with the bit error rate (BER). In this paper, the performance of IDMA scheme has been examined as a multiple access technique for optical wireless communication (OWC) with indoor wireless channel model. The indoor propagation channel model which considers additive white Gaussian noise (AWGN) model as more appropriate for significant background light has been simulated. The simulation results demonstrate the significant improvement in bit error rate (BER) performance of uncoded wireless optical IDMA in comparison to uncoded IDMA system with large user count.

This paper presents the performance comparison between random and tree based interleaver based IDMA system, in fading environment. We also know that Maximal Ratio Combining (MRC) diversity approach is popularly used to mitigate the fading problem in any wireless system so here MRRC scheme is used with both RI & TBI based system to mitigate fading. The approach involves receiver diversity analysis as 1:2 antenna systems in fading environment; no. of antennas can be increased to improve diversity order.

ABSTRACT This paper outlines a survey on interleave-division multiple-access (IDMA) technique which exploits the interleaving as only means of user separation instead of by different signatures as in a conventional code-division multiple-access (CDMA) scheme. IDMA scheme can achieve near single user performance in situations with very large numbers of users while maintaining very low receiver complexity. This technique inherits many advantages from CDMA, such as diversity against fading and mitigation of the worst-case user interference problem. This paper presents an overview of IDMA and discusses the main features and areas of application as the future air interface access schemes for IMT-2000/UMTS.

In this paper we propose the system model of Optical Interleave Division Multiple Access (Optical IDMA) Scheme and derive a mathematical model for pulse propagation in optical fiber, by the nonlinear linear Schrodinger equation (NLSE), which takes into account the fiber losses, nonlinear effects and higher-order chromatic dispersion and iterative chip-bychip (CBC) detection process for BER calculation. NLSE is solved by Split-Step Fourier Transform Method (SSFM). On-Off keying (OOK) is used for pulse transmission. LASER and Avalanche Photodiode (APD) is used with optical fiber for transmission and reception.

Data mining is very vast area for research vast amount of data have been collected from biological science. Many researchers worked on in this area from different concepts and techniques. This paper presents the clustering concepts to solve the biological problem. In biological science protein sequences are complicated. So remove the complexity of dataset and create separated the random data. So in this paper uses the k-mean algorithm, MERPOS for protein data set, and MATLAB tool for protein analysis as data matrix form. Unsupervised learning is essentially a synonym for clustering.

ABSTRACT This paper aims to propose a generalized scheme for the synchronization of a class of nonlinear non-identical chaotic systems. The proposed procedure is based on well-established backstepping control technique which guarantees global stability of the system, but due to the problem of 'explosion of terms', its use is restricted to lower order systems. Here, dynamical surface control (DSC) approach which is much less complex is combined with backstepping control leading to a better approach for synchronization of two non-identical chaotic systems. Although DSC offers semiglobal stability but still it is worth employing as it makes the analysis and design very simple. Numerical simulations are given to prove the validity of the technique.
