Many similar subjects can be traced in world literature; among them is nature since it belongs to man/nature binary opposition. The American poet and philosopher, Ralph Waldo Emerson (1803-1882) employs nature in his works. Throughout his works, the American writer discusses the affinity between man and nature, emphasizing how man takes advantage of it. The contemporary Iranian poet, Sohrab Sepehri (1928-1980), also makes intensive use of nature in his poems; his interest in the subject increases along with his tendency to Buddhism. Sepehri is proficient in using nature either in philosophical or emotional issues. Due to the significance of nature in the works or the two figures, an ecocritical reading of them is not only applicable but unavoidable. This comparative study aims at investigating different approaches towards nature employed by the two poets, emphasizing their points of difference. Although both poets employ nature in their works with romantic tendencies, the postmodern environmental ethics of Sepehri is in direct contrast to the instrumental value viewpoint held by his American counterpart.

В статье исследуется специфика адресации в поэзии в социальной сети Фейсбук. Целью исследования является анализ различных способов введения адресата поэтического текста в коммуникативный контекст, учитывающий пространство актуализации высказывания. Методология исследования включает прагмасемантический подход и лингвопоэтический метод. Предметами анализа стали поэтические высказывания, содержащие tu-центрические единицы, а также особенности имплицитной адресации, выраженной в «присвоении» чужой речи, в современных поэтических текстах, опубликованных в социальной сети на примере тек- стов С. Могилевой, В. Гагина, Е. Сусловой, А. Скидана и др. В результате исследования выявлены следующие виды адресации: идеальный, опре- деленный и неопределенный; и способы: эксплицитный и имплицитный. Также подробно рассмотрена такая регулярно встречающая в поэтическом дискурсе форма адресации, как автоадресация, и «новая субъективность» поэтического адресанта. В работе в ходе анализа адресации выявлены та- кие особенности поэтического дискурса, как cимультанная интеракция адресанта и адресата, перформативность высказывания, актуализация кон- текстной динамики, имитация рекламных, бизнес- и блоггинг-стратегий, равное соотношение апеллятивной и экспрессивной функций.

Distributed Video Coding (DVC) is a new paradigm for video compression based on the information theoretical results of Slepian–Wolf (SW) and Wyner–Ziv (WZ). In this work, a performance analysis of image and video coding schemes based on DVC is presented, addressing temporal, quality and spatial scalability. The objective of this article is to analyze and classify the types of
animals used when addressing people in the Thai language. The concept of
Halupka–Rešetar and Radic (2003) employed as an analytical approach in this ´
study. The data used were collected from the answers elicited from 100
Silpakorn University students completing questionnaires. The results show
that there are 98 animals that Thais preferably use to address people. They
can be divided into two groups : the commonly–comman meaning (22
animals) and specific meaning (76 animals). All of these animals are used
as pronouns and addressing terms of address whose structures can be
divided into two categories : single structure, and mixed structure
meanings. The results show the use of animals as terms of address arises
from metaphorization. Most meanings carry negative used for disparagement.
The positive–meaning terms are employed to help build solidarity in groups. The use of animals to address people in the Thai language can be classified
into five groups : (1) appearance (2) eating habits (3) intelligence
(4) characters (5) modification sound.

More than half of the quatrains attributed to Baba Afzal Kashani, a high rank quatrain-composer among Persian poets, begin with self-addressing, or addressing nonhumans, God, prophet, beloved, opponent, reader and etc. as well as addressing human beings from the promise of the Creator. The audience is sometimes paid attention in the middle of the poem. Besides, to get his purpose, the poet applies imperative and preventive sentences to inform his audience using enthusiasm, avoidance and reproach. Providing exact statistics, the present study is to show what is addressed by the poet, the times, the forms, the reasons for addressing and its benefits in Baba Afzal Kashani's poems, and to compare his quatrains with the works of Khaghani and Zahir, two of his contemporary masters and Abd al-Rahman Jami, of the great quatrain-composers to reveal that his art sometimes overtakes theirs in using most of addressing methods. Also, the profound influence of the poet's teaching role on the influence of this method in his poetry and the effect of this eminent stylistic feature on the prevalence of Afzal's quatrains will be pointed out.

Introduction With psychiatric disorders affecting nearly one-half of American adults at some point in their lifetime, it is important to consider the impact psychopathological conditions may have on neuropsychological function; this is particularly true as individuals entering adulthood and later, old age, are often at greater risk for the development of psychopathological conditions. Whereas several adult psychopathological conditions may present with some form of cognitive inefficiency, the present discussion focuses on three disorders with relatively well-characterized neuropsychological profiles in adulthood and old age: schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and major depression. The paper examines how addressing as a form of conversational strategy in
classroom talk affects the formation of gender and language identities of pupils in
Serbian and Hungarian classes during the final year of bilingual primary schools in
Subotica (Vojvodina) in the year 2015. The corpus consists of the fine transcript of
two video recordings of mother tongue lessons in serbian and hungarian classes
during the final year of primary schools. The results show that the differences in
addressing are culturally and gender conditioned, and confirm the implicit gender
based discrimination in explicit language used by the teachers.

Addresses displayed on dwellings and buildings play a key role in society. Amongst others, they are used for deliveries, in household surveys, to navigate, or to find friends. Sometimes, address signs are destroyed, displaced or illegible, for example, as a result of vandalism, disasters, or poor maintenance. In augmented reality, computer-generated information is superimposed onto a live view of the real world. When address signs are not available, displaying the address in augmented reality could be immensely useful. The research presented in this article is part of a larger research endeavour to investigate augmented reality for addressing. This article presents the results of an evaluation of augmented reality mobile development frameworks for the implementation of a mobile application that displays addresses in augmented reality. Firstly, the requirements for addresses in augmented reality were identified. Three use cases informed these requirements: disaster relief, e.g. address signs are destroyed by an earthquake; household surveys, e.g. locating dwellings in informal settlements or rural areas where addresses are not assigned in any specific sequence and signs do not exist; and address data quality management, e.g. validating digital address data against addresses displayed in the physical world. Due to procurement challenges in the use cases, open source licensing and integration with open source products was identified as an important requirement. The internet was searched and a list of augmented reality mobile development frameworks was compiled. Based on the requirements, the list was shortened to seven frameworks, which were evaluated against a set of criteria informed by the requirements. The evaluation results can guide developers in choosing a framework best suitable for their specific needs and/or for integration with open source products.
