In this paper, a new cross-coupled microstrip filter based on the grounded patch resonators is designed, fabricated and measured. Coupling characteristics of three basic coupling structures encountered in this class of filters are investigated using full-wave electromagnetic simulations, and the design curves for coupling coefficients and the external quality factor are presented. As the demonstration, a fourth order cross-coupled filter of this type is designed, fabricated and measured.

A novel signal processing-oriented approach to solving problems involving inverse Laplacians is introduced. The Monogenic Signal is a powerful method of computing the phase of discrete signals in image data, however it is typically used with band-pass filters in the capacity of a feature detector. Substituting low-pass filters allows the Monogenic Signal to produce approximate solutions to the inverse Laplacian, with the added benefit of tunability and the generation of three equivariant properties (namely local energy, local phase and local orientation), which allow the development of powerful numerical solutions for a new set of problems. These principles are applied here in the context of biological cell segmentation from brightfield microscopy image data. The Monogenic Signal approach is used to generate reduced noise solutions to the Transport of Intensity Equation for optical phase recovery, and the resulting local phase and local orientation terms are combined in an iterative level set approach to accurately segment cell boundaries. Potential applications of this approach are discussed with respect to other fields.

Any band-pass filter may be converted into a tunable filter with a single tuning parameter through the use of a new tunable heterodyne band-pass filter concept in which the frequency of the heterodyne signal is adjusted thereby translating the entire filter transfer function in frequency. If the fixed filter is selected to be a narrow-band band-pass filter, the new tunable heterodyne band-pass filter concept can be used very effectively in the elimination of narrow band interference in wide-band communications or control systems. A single-chip version of this tunable filter can be constructed using a Xilinx Virtex XCV800 chip. The resulting filter is a flexible tunable band-pass filter that can be varied from DC to π/2 or from π/2 to it depending on the parameters of the fixed output low-pass filter

This article aims to verify the link between FDI and business creation in Congo. This junction finds its roots in the theory of industrial organization, supplemented by the eclectic theory of Dunning (1988), In addition, it uses the dynamic model, called error correction. The results from the link between FDI and enterprise creation show that FDI has a positive impact on the creation of small businesses. On the other hand, only the control of corruption positively and significantly influences the creation of companies in the short and long term. In addition, commercial openness and infrastructure have a negative impact on the creation of businesses over the long term. These effects stem from a poor business climate and a low degree of long term openness. Hence the government should reinvigorate the private sector, improving the business environment to better control supply factors.

A. Tapis lolos rendah atau Low-Pass Filter Dari kata pertama, yaitu " tapis " , yang muncul di benak saya adalah sinonim kata " filter " atau saringan. Dari sini saya melakukan penelusuran tentang pengertian tapis lolos rendah atau tapis pelewat rendah ini. Ternyata, tapis lolos rendah adalah sebuah rangkaian yang digunakan untuk meneruskan sinyal berfrekuensi rendah dan meredam sinyal berfrekuensi tinggi. Sinyal dapat berupa sinyal listrik seperti perubahan tegangan maupun data-data digital seperti citra dan suara. Untuk sinyal listrik, low-pass filter direalisasikan dengan meletakkan kumparan secara seri dengan sumber sinyal atau dengan meletakkan kapasitor secara paralel dengan sumber sinyal. Contoh penggunaan filter ini adalah pada aplikasi audio, yaitu pada peredaman frekuensi tinggi (yang biasa digunakan pada tweeter) sebelum masuk speaker bass atau subwoofer (frekuensi rendah). Kumparan yang diletakkan secara seri dengan sumber tegangan akan meredam frekuensi tinggi dan meneruskan frekuensi rendah, sedangkan sebaliknya kapasitor yang diletakkan seri akan meredam frekuensi rendah dan meneruskan frekuensi tinggi. Background: All modern transceiver circuits utilize high-performance band pass filters for proper frequency selection led the researchers to inaugurate the journey of CMOS active inductor. The prime performance requirements of such circuits are very low power dissipation, relatively higher Qfactor with fixed center frequency tuning but a tradeoff among these parameters is inevitable. Method: A number of active inductor-based band pass filters have been designed over the years to obtain better performance trade-offs and a discussion on these designs is presented from their advantages, disadvantages and application point of view. The active inductors are capable of working effectively in band pass filters at very high frequencies up to 11.47 GHz and can be designed to achieve smallest chip area as low as 0.005 mm2. Besides some essential critical parameters such as high-quality factor, narrow bandwidth, central frequency tuning, low voltage operation, very small power consumption etc. are also achievable. Moreover, compared to Gm-C and Q-enhanced LC tank band pass filters, filters with active inductor show better performance in terms of low power consumption, small silicon area, high Q factor and tunability. Conclusion: This review will help the engineers in designing compact and high-performance CMOS band-pass filter circuits for various RF devices.

This paper presents Chebyshev three and four poles microstrip hairpin filter for radar applications. The filters are operated at K-band frequency segment of 20-20.3 GHz. The filters were designed using Genesys software and implemented on Roger 5870 substrate. The results from simulation and measurement show that both filters were operating at the desired specification. Based on the experimental analysis, it was observed that the filter with four elements better than the three which was quite agree to other researchers.

Two compact microwave band pass filters used in Ka band LTCC frequency synthesizer are presented in this paper. The filters are buried in the Ferro-A6 substrate. Modified SIR structure is employed to improve the stop band rejection and minimize the size of the LTCC BPF. The design processes are proposed. The measured results of the BPFs agree well with the simulation.
