Az utóbbi évtizedekben rendkívüli mértékben felgyorsult technológiai fejlődés és az IKT eszközök egyre jelentősebb térhódítása következtében kialakuló információs társadalom számos új kihívást generált tagjai számára. Megváltozott az információhoz jutás módja, sebessége, új kommunikációs formák jöttek létre, átalakultak a munkaerő piac követelményei. Folyamatosan csökken azoknak a szakmáknak az aránya, melyek a digitális írástudás legalább minimális szintje nélkül is betölthetők és a hétköznapi tevékenységeinkhez is egyre nélkülözhetetlenebbé válnak ezek az ismeretek.
A változások természetesen az oktatásira is hatást gyakoroltak, sőt elengedhetetlenül fontossá vált az IKT eszközök alkalmazása, magas szintű integrálása az oktatási folyamatba. Ha ugyanis a XXI. századi tanulókat XX. századi eszközökkel és módszerekkel oktatjuk, akkor a diákok érdeklődése, motiváltsága és ezzel szoros összefüggésben a tanítási folyamat hatékonysága, eredményessége a legtöbb esetben meglehetősen alacsony szintű lesz. Azonban ha használni kezdjük a digitális technológiát, akkor jelentős javulást érhetünk el, de a napjaink igényeinek valóban megfelelő oktatás csak akkor valósulhat meg, ha a módszereken is változtatunk. Ez a könyv ezt a bonyolult, soktényezős, jelenleg is zajló folyamatot vizsgálja.
A kötetben egyrészt a digitális technológia fejlődése, terjedése által generált társadalmi változásokat, az átalakuló tanítási-tanulási környezetet és az ezekből indukálódó elvárásokat tekintjük át, másrészt egy kutatássorozat adatait felhasználva az új kihívások, feltételrendszerek kusza hálójában tevékenykedő pedagógusok attitűdjét, illetve a tanítási folyamat változásának jellemzőit vizsgáljuk meg.

U predmetnom istraživanju analiziraju se videoblogovi u dijaloškoj formi na temu jezičnih i kulturoloških „dvoboja“ u kojima meksički i argentinski videoblogeri suprotstavljaju i uspoređuju suvremeni žargon i posebnosti govora mladih dvaju španjolskih varijeteta. Obrađuju se pitanja koja spadaju u široko polje organizacijskih i pragmatičkih znanja te znanja o digitalnoj audiovizualnoj komunikaciji. U ovim okvirima, najprije se analizira višeznačnost odabranih leksema i idiomatskih fraza kao autentičnih konverzacijskih, žargonskih i kulturoloških obilježja. Naime, u kontekstu podučavanja jezika i komunikacije, smatra se da je prepoznavanje višeznačnosti analiziranih konverzacijskih elemenata i njihovih konkretnih ostvaraja usko vezano uz prepoznavanje sociolingvističke i pragmatičke primjerenosti. Na koncu, u radu se raspravlja o načinima na koje je korištenjem videoblogova moguće poticati razvoj međukulturne komunikacije i digitalne audiovizualne kompetencije na višim stupnjevima učenja španjolskog jezika.

As the world we live in has become more digitalized, challenges are occurring left and right, especially in the education field. In gaining quality teachers, there is a need to train future educators to have the ability to adapt to the ever-changing technology and global changes. However, pre-service teachers often seem unprepared and unable to adapt to changes. Hence, implementing service-learning in the teacher training program is vital as it provides the opportunity to engage and experience 21st-century real classroom lessons. Service-learning has also been proven to be an effective approach in training pre-service teachers. This paper aims to investigate the perceptions of pre-service teachers toward service-learning in terms of authentic learning experiences. It highlights how the implementation of service-learning approach in learning to teach writing in a second language context facilitates preservice teachers in terms of authentic experience. A qualitative method was conducted to investigate the authentic learning experiences among 54 pre-service teachers in a public university in Malaysia. Data were collected through open-ended questions. Based on this study, the findings showed that the preservice teachers could experience the real-life environment of teaching and learning and applying educational theories learned. They were also able to obtain hands-on experience in interacting with the students and marking their sample essays. It is hoped that future teachers and educational organizations can benefit from understanding the benefits of service-learning in teacher training programs. Future researchers could investigate the challenges of service-learning in teacher training programs.

This presentation aims at expounding on the importance of information and communication technology (ICT) and of digital heritage in strengthening the bilateral relations of and the interaction between civil society and its collective cultural heritage, as well as their role in the recognition and understanding of the particularities and the importance of the history and accounts of these constructed sets. By following this approach, I intend to address the subject of digital technology, highlighting its ever-increasing importance and leading role as an instrument for the study and preservation of cultural and architectural heritage assets. The latter aspect is particularly vital in understanding cities as living entities and physical embodiments of the collective memory, so as to create a database and a set of various highly significant types of knowledge, which can potentially be universally accessed and shared.
The use of ICT, providing new forms of accessing and organizing knowledge, has become an increasingly central and essential process in the field of digital heritage. The management of content disseminated through ICT acts as a basic element in the overall communication and sustainability of knowledge. ICT not only broadens the scope of research but also serves to disseminate it to a wider and more diverse audience in an interactive manner.
On the other hand, the implementation of research projects in the field of digital heritage – based on history of art and history of architecture – leads to the exploration of approaches with the aim of recovering, analysing and interpreting lost or otherwise invisible/transformed heritage assets within the urban landscape. By extension, they allow us to not only question how these strategies are used to reinsert the absent/transformed historical city in its multiple layers within the contemporary environment but also to assess the connection of civil society with its (in)visible legacy. In conclusion, the multidisciplinary nature of this approach is the key focus, an approach that effectively combines digital humanities, history, history of art, architecture and information technology.

The COVID-19 pandemic has disrupted every aspect of society. It has caused intense disturbance to the education system worldwide as governments around the world have temporarily postponed physical classes and moved them online to prevent the spread of the virus. These sudden changes from face-to-face to online learning have caused numerous challenges for students, teachers, administrators, and education leaders. Against this background, this survey research was conducted with 80 high school students in Takeo province, Cambodia, to find out the challenges these students face during the pandemic. The results show that limited access to the internet was the most challenging problem, while other challenges included interruptions at home, ineffectiveness of teachers, lack of smartphones and money to recharge phone credits, difficulties in navigating online learning, and eye problems caused by constant exposure to bright light. Further studies should be conducted to explore the challenges faced by high school teachers and administrators.

The aim of this article is to assess the impact of Big Data technologies for insurance ratemaking, with a special focus on motor products.The first part shows how statistics and insurance mechanisms adopted the same aggregate viewpoint. It made visible regularities that were invisible at the individual level, further supporting the classificatory approach of insurance and the assumption that all members of a class are identical risks. The second part focuses on the reversal of perspective currently occurring in data analysis with predictive analytics, and how this conceptually contradicts the collective basis of insurance. The tremendous volume of data and the personalization promise through accurate individual prediction indeed deeply shakes the homogeneity hypothesis behind pooling. While it is often claimed that the emerging digital governmentality functions as a new apparatus of surveillance, the aim of this paper is to characterise this regime in relation to Foucault’s disciplinary, liberal and neoliberal governmentality, hence insisting on the transformation of disciplinary surveillance implied by current technological developments. My claim is that statistics, previously employed for the management of populations, is now absorbed into predictive analytics as a new technology for the management of collectives, through personalisation and statistical individuation. The conduct of conducts thus takes the form of a constant incitation to action, adjusted to the individual statistical profile. Contrary to discipline, the new regime is therefore statistical, yet applied to the individual. Furthermore, while liberal and neo-liberal governmentality both assumed a rational subject, digital government focuses on the management of impulses and desires, thus producing a digital subject at odds with the liberal and neoliberal homo oeconomicus.

This descriptive qualitative research aims to identify digital entrepreneurship in family businesses in Indonesia refer to their digital capabilities. The transformation framework for competing in the digital domain is developed by technology awareness, digital knowledge and digital values. Its successful application requires information openness, mature cooperation and independent networking by the philosophy of a company that is managed by family members.
