Currently, the most common method that tourists make decisions on selecting their preferred hotels is a data analysis from online reviews of experienced tourists to support the decision. Unfortunately, tourists must read enormous reviews in order to select the preferred hotels. This paper presents the design and development of an automatic knowledge extraction system from online hotel reviews of tourists. The proposed system focuses on a semantic analysis from hotel reviews using the ontology as a knowledge base for hotel information extraction and storing, and using the parser to solve the semantic analysis problem. In addition, we propose a fuzzy-logic based method for calculating a tourist satisfaction level with hotel services and facilities. The experimental results indicate that the semantic analysis method achieves with 88.91% of accuracy, 100% of precision and 73.56% of recall. While the satisfaction level calculation method achieves with 0.366 of MAE and 0.464 of RMSE.

We report on a fuzzy logic-based language understanding system applied to speech recognition. This system acquires conceptual knowledge from corpus data and organizes such knowledge into fuzzy logic inference rules. The system parses speech recognition results into conceptual structures in a robust manner, and thus is able to tolerate noise caused by speech recognition errors. We discuss the fuzzy inference rule learning method and explain its organization. Experimental results that demonstrate the ability of the system to deal with complex speech input instances are reported

The paper abandons a strict two-way sub-classification of intransitive verbs into unaccuasative and unergative for Hindi and proposes a distribution plotting of the same in a diffusion chart. The diagnostics tests that Bhatt (2003) applied on Hindi data are ranked for their efficiency of attributing correct sub-class to verbs. The diffusion chart shows that a tripartite classification handles the issue of classification of intransitive verbs in a better manner than the classical binary approach. The tripartite classification is as follows: (1) Verbs that take animate subject and are compatible with adverb of volitionality; (2) Verbs that take animate subject but are not compatible with adverb of volitionality; and (3) Verbs that take inanimate subject. The classification is of immense advantage for various NLP tasks such as machine translation, natural language generation.

Este trabajo se enfoca en el estudio de las gramáticas de las lenguas amerindias, el proyecto que
llevó a curas y gramáticos a poner por escrito una serie de lenguas que no conocían la escritura. A
través del estudio de las gramáticas de las lenguas amerindias (el náhuatl, el quechua, el muisca),
podemos vislumbrar las razones que llevaron a sus autores a establecer contactos con culturas y
sociedades diferentes, además de apropiar de una forma novedosa un saber y una práctica
cotidiana de los seres humanos en sus existencia social. La búsqueda de la conversión de los
indígenas al catolicismo, junto con la labor de los misioneros y capellanes, llevo a un enorme
esfuerzo por hacer entendible las lenguas y los significados de estos nuevos grupos que aparecen
en la historia y pensamiento europeos.

Abstract:
This paper focuses on the study of the grammar of Amerindian languages, the Project that moved
priests and grammarians to put into writing a series of oral languages. Studying the grammar of
Amerindian languages (náhuatl, quechua, muisca), we can see the reasons their authors had to
establish contacts with different cultures and societies, besides the appropriation of a new
knowledge and a new practice in the everyday life of human beings in their social existence. The
aim of converting indigenous people to Catholicism, together with the work of missionaries an
chaplains, meant an enormous effort to make understandable the languages and meanings of
these new groups that appeared in the European history and thought.

UniFrame is a framework to help organizations to build interoperable distributed computing systems. Using UniFrame, a new system is built by assembling predeveloped heterogeneous and distributed software components. UniFrame solves the heterogeneity problem by explicitly modeling the domain knowledge of various technology domains (component model domains, programming language domains, operating system platform domains, etc.), from which the interoperation generative domain model (IGDM) straddling the technology domains can be constructed. The glue/wrapper code that realizes the interoperation among the distributed and heterogeneous software components can be generated from the IGDM. An informal implementation in Java of glue/wrapper code generator is given, followed by a discussion on a formalization of IGDM. The formalism comes from the fact that if the family of glue/wrapper code can be modeled formally, an instance glue/wrapper code can be generated automatically. In this formalization, the IGDM is formally modeled as a language definition using a grammar; the code that realizes the interoperation is a valid sentence derivable from the grammar, and will be generated automatically from the IGDM during the assembly time.
