In many parts of the world, the military has been very busy in recent times engaging in terror and other related wars. This requires that men and materials have to be located in different parts of their strategic geographic centres. And in order to ensure a fast communication with these bases, the military often deploys Mobile Ad-hoc Networks (MANETs). MANETs carry such intelligence information as: deployment information, readiness information, and order of battle plans to their various bases. The nature of these information is such that any compromise on them could be disastrous to the courses of action of the bases. This paper identifies user authentication as a key issue in strengthening security concerns in MANETs. The paper further adopts biometrics technologies as the trending options for the purpose of obtaining a truer reflection of the identities of the users of ad-hoc networks. The hierarchical routing algorithm is categorized as a kind of routing method using node clustering to create a hierarchical structure in large‐scale mobile ad hoc network (LMANET). In this paper, we proposed a new hierarchical clustering algorithm (HCAL) and a corresponded protocol for hierarchical routing in LMANET. The HCAL is designed based on a cost metric in the form of the link expiration time and node's relative degree. Correspondingly, the routing protocol for HCAL adopts a reactive protocol to control the existing cluster head (CH) nodes and handle proactive nodes to be considered as a cluster in LMANET. Hierarchical clustering algorithm jointly utilizes table‐driven and on‐demand routing by using a combined weight metric to search dominant set of nodes. This set is composed by link expiration time and node's relative degree to establish the intra/intercommunication paths in LMANET. The performance of the proposed algorithm and protocol is numerically evaluated in average end‐ to‐end delay, number of CH per round, iteration count between the CHs, average CH keeping time, normalized routing overhead, and packet delivery ratio over a number of randomly generated benchmark scenarios. Furthermore, to corroborate the actual effectiveness of the HCAL algorithm, extensive performance comparisons are carried out with some state‐of‐the‐art routing algorithms, namely, Dynamic Doppler Velocity Clustering, Signal Characteristic‐Based Clustering, Dynamic Link Duration Clustering, and mobility‐based clustering algorithms. Routing in delay tolerant networks (DTN) is a challenging problem because at any given time instance, the probability that there is an end-to-end path from a source to a destination is low. Since the routing algorithms for conventional networks assume that the links between nodes are stable most of the time and do not fail frequently, they do not generally work in DTN’s. Therefore, the routing problem is still an active research area in DTN’s To realize the DTN vision, routes must be found over multiple unreliable, intermittently-connected hops. Many researchers have investigated this fundamental challenge, to overcome these challenges, this paper propose Conditional Shortest Path Routing (CSPR) protocol that routes the messages over conditional shortest paths in which the cost of links between nodes is defined by conditional intermeeting times rather than the conventional intermeeting times. Through trace-driven simulations, we demonstrate that CSPR achieves higher delivery rate and lower end-to-end delay compared to the shortest path based routing protocols that use the conventional intermeeting time as the link metric.

Mobile Ad-Ho c Network (MANET) is one of the most promising technologi es that have applications in military, environm ental, space exploration and forestry industry areas. This typ e of network has attractive features such as its low transmission p ower to conserve energy, increase throughput, and reduce delay. However, it suffers from many constraints, incl uding limited resources, and the use of insecure wireless communication channels. Thus, any kind of intrusions should b e detected b efore attackers can harm the network in order to op erate MANET in a secure way. In this article, we present a survey of the state-of-theart in Intrusion Detection Systems (IDSs) that are prop osed for MANETs. In this paper, we discuss security issues and their current solutions in the mobile ad hoc network. Owe to the vulnerable nature of the mobile ad hoc network, there are numerous security threats that disturb the development of it. We first analyze the main vulnerabilities in the mobile ad hoc networks, which have made it much easier to suffer from attacks than the traditional wired network. Then we discuss the security criteria of the mobile ad hoc network and present the main attack types that exist in it. Finally we survey the current security solutions for the mobile ad hoc network.

In recent time huge development going on in the field of the wireless sensor network and this network divided into two groups which are known as MANET and VANET. Our main work is to design an algorithm in such a way that the network parameter is optimized efficiently. So the cluster head can't communicate with other nodes. That the same time, the congestion will occur and packet can't be transferred to the nodes. It will take more time to complete the packet transmission. This approach illustrates that the proposed method is a routing protocol. The proposed research we have used no of connection in a group or cluster. Every cluster has a cluster head and the cluster head directly interconnects with the improper place. The results of the proposed method are a comparison with existing Leach Protocol. Here the base connection is located to equal distance of a cluster and it's directly communicating to the cluster connection. This method is increasing to life instance of a network. As compare LEACH and Proposed method, we have noticed proposed method-have better force, lifetime, less delay, better transmission and consumed less time. LEACH Protocol is based on the cluster to make a comparison of native parameters so that we design the proposed method cluster based. The cluster used no of the group to increase the performance. This consist of many advantages which are listed below. Existing Number of groups is low. We can analyze a number of groups here. Every group's stage check in this proposed research. Proposed method routing protocol has a better result as compared to LEACH protocol. As cluster-head dies, series is rebuilt to bypass the deceased node. So the initial topology is not affected. Head node receives all the aggregated data moreover transmits further to cluster-head.

Fragments are published in German version and Italian translation by Maurizio Ghelardi. Secure communication between two nodes in a network depends on reliable key management systems that generate and distribute keys between communicating nodes and a secure routing protocol that establishes a route between them. But due to lack of central server and infrastructure in Mobile Ad hoc Networks(MANETs), this is major problem to manage the keys in the network. Dynamically changes in network’s topology causes weak trust relationship among the nodes in the network. . In MANETs a mobile node
operates as not only end terminal but also as an intermediate router. Therefore, a multi-hop scenario
occurs for communication in MANETs; where there may be one or more malicious nodes in between source
and destination. A routing protocol is said to be secure that detects the detrimental effects of malicious node(s in the path from source to destination). In this paper, we proposed a key management scheme and a secure routing protocol that secures on demand routing protocol such as DSR and AODV. We assume that MANETs is divided into groups having a group leader in each group. Group leader has responsibility of key management in its group. Proposed key management scheme is a decentralized scheme that does not
require any Trusted Third Party (TTP) for key management. In proposed key management system, both a new node and group leader authenticates each other mutually before joining the network. While proposed secure routing protocol allows both communicating parties as well as intermediate nodes to authenticate other nodes and maintains message integrity.

Abstract: In view of the increasing use of mobile devices in addition to the high demand for the applications provided by these devices including video streaming, most companies have tended to pay attention to the mobile ad hoc networks and search for solutions to the problems and obstacles that hindered the process of sending video in this type of networks. One of the solutions discussed: Solutions at the level of video compression technology where many of the standards that were used in the process of video encoding and that provide good video quality by using a few bits in the coding process as provided us with acceptable bandwidth for the user and are flexible in handling with errors. These standards are: "H. 264/ MPEG-4 part 10".
There was also a solution at the level of routing during the transmission of video in real time over the mobile ad hoc networks so in this paper has been studied OLSR routing protocol that support the transmission of video on the basis of delay, network load and throughput and evaluated the performance by changing the model where the node is located (Node Placement Model) in a large network and in a small network as well as for different video resolutions.

O estudo da relação entre pintura e literatura, na perspectiva da fraternidade das artes, é fundamental para a compreensão do processo de autonomia dos campos artístico e literário, na França da segunda metade do século XIX (Bourdieu). O caso de Manet e Zola é exemplar, na medida em que a aliança entre o escritor e o pintor evidencia uma posição homóloga nos seus respectivos campos de ação, naquele momento de suas trajetórias. Ambos desejam romper com padrões estéticos e pretendem instaurar uma nova ordem de valores artísticos que prescinda das instituições oficiais e que seja capaz de se autolegitimar. Zola defende Manet em diversas críticas (Meu Salão, 1866; Édouard Manet, estudo biográfico e crítico, 1867; Meu Salão, 1868). Manet, por sua vez, eterniza o escritor, em 1868, através de um retrato que associa Zola ao seu próprio nome e à sua arte, inscritos na composição do quadro. Este tipo de relação ocorre em muitos outros casos e será bastante produtiva entre os escritores naturalistas e os pintores impressionistas. Na perspectiva sociológica, estabelecida por Pierre Bourdieu, e de acordo com a proposta metodológica da Análise do Discurso de Dominique Maingueneau, consideramos que representações de ateliês, retratos de artistas e escritores, individuais ou em grupo, romances de pintor, crítica de arte, crítica literária, cartas, prefácios, dedicatórias, entrevistas constituem uma rede de elementos indissociáveis da cena enunciativa da obra de um escritor ou artista.

With rapid increase in the use of mobile phones, the desire for people to access mobile internet to get information and services from anywhere and everywhere has increased. There is an increase in number of customers that need house, car, and vehicle....either for renting, selling and buying. There are also customers that need for house servants and guards through their daily lives. This proposal work aims to design and implement a remote brokering system, through which one can search for his wish, view, and make either a phone call or usual SMS with owner to negotiate and also make a payment.  We made the use of many algorithms that calculates the amount/percent paid for the broker due process. This system increases quality and speed of service. It also increases the popularity of brokers among potential customers. Implementing this system gives a cost-efficient opportunity to give customers a personalized service experience where they are in control of choosing what they want, when they want it – from searching to viewing to payment. We have chosen Android platform because it is most widely used today and is very economical.

Twenty-three years after his death, Clement Greenberg is still someone to be taken into account in the world of contemporary art criticism, especially when we speak of Modernism. One cannot minimize the importance of his theory, usually re-ferred to as formalist, or the influence it has had on the generations of artists from the 1930s to the present day. It is also a fact that, on one hand, there are multiple defend-ers and followers of his theory, but on the other hand, he also generates strong criti-cism and meets several attempts to challenge his aesthetic principles. The goal of this dissertation is to analyze the implications of Greenberg’s theory in the course of mod-ern art, basically in painting but also in sculpture, using a corpus of texts written by Greenberg since the end of the 1930s to the 1980s, explaining the dissensions between Greenberg and the other art critics. This will encompass the course of Modernist art from Impressionism to Jasper Johns, and Robert Rauschenberg, and then polemizing the commentary that major names in art criticism, such as Michael Fried, Leo Stein-berg, and Rosalind Krauss made to the work of Greenberg. Consequently, it is argued that the journey made across 80 years of painting and sculpture by Greenberg demon-strates how the vision of one man became as important and critical as that of the art-ists themselves.

Passados vinte e três anos da sua morte, Clement Greenberg continua a ser um nome a ter em conta na crítica de arte contemporânea, nomeadamente quando falamos de Modernismo. Não se pode escamotear a importância da sua teoria, geralmente apelidada de formalista, nem a influência que a mesma teve em gerações de artistas, desde os anos 30 do século XX até aos nossos dias. Também é um facto que, se por um lado, encontramos múltiplos defensores e até discípulos, por outro gerou fortes críticas e tentativas várias de desconstrução dos seus princípios artísticos. Partindo da leitura de um corpus de textos de Greenberg escritos desde o final da década de 30 até à década de 80 do século XX, procura-se, ao longo desta dissertação, analisar as implicações da teoria de Greenberg no percurso da arte moderna, essencialmente na pintura mas também na escultura, explicitando as dissensões entre Greenberg e outros críticos de arte. Mostrar-se-á, assim, o percurso da arte modernista desde o Impressionismo até Jasper Johns e Robert Rauschenberg, polemizando as referências que nomes maiores da crítica de arte, como sejam Michael Fried, Leo Steinberg e Rosalind Krauss, fazem à obra de Greenberg. No final, pretende-se que o percurso feito ao longo de cerca de 80 anos de pintura e escultura demonstre como a visão de um só homem se revelou tão importante e fundamental quanto a dos artistas.

The aim of this paper is to track the evolution of restaurants through history and art. While doing this, the paper first provides historical information about traditional eating places in Ancient and Medieval times before the evolution of modern restaurants. Humble dining places in history such as inns, taverns, coffee houses are examined in detail with their representations in art. Then the study draws on the evolution of Parisian restaurants. Since the origin of the modern-day restaurants is mostly cited as Paris, this paper emphasizes the depictions of Parisian restaurants in art. After this part, the study comes up with possible explanations of the reasons why restaurants evolved mainly in Paris. The following part focuses on the characteristics of new restaurants which differentiated them from early eating establishments. In every part paintings best reflecting the restaurants of that era are used in order to support the theoretical framework. Additionally one of the consequences of today's modern restaurant which is the intersection of public and private spheres of individuals is analyzed through Van Gogh's depictions of Parisian restaurants and Edward Hopper's diner representations.

In this chapter, the authors have introduced the use of Internet of Things (IoT) applications and services in Indian Railway Transportation System (IRTS). Railway transportation infrastructure is one of the most important factors for the development of any country. India is a developing country and we have a vision to transform India into a developed nation by 2020 using different technologies and tools. Therefore, we need to adopt smart and secure technology for advancement in each area especially in railway trans- portation for growth and betterment of the country. Further, authors has introduced Vehicular Ad-Hoc Network (VANET) concept for automatic railway gate controlling system to reduce number of accidents over railway premises and enhance the system components for the Indian railway transportation system to provide the comfort, security, safety and infotainment services to the passengers.

This BA dissertation is a discussion around the meaning behind Edouard Manet's 'Bar at the Folies-Bergère'. I explore the work as an allegory of illusion; meaning there is more than what meets the eye in the painting. Manet has contrived an air of illusion through manipulation of formal qualities in artistic treatment to specific pictorial elements and subject matter. The mirror, as an arbitrary object, has a sense of prestige attributed to its function within Renaissance imagery where the symbol of the mirror is linked with ideas of misconception. Titian in particular has used the mirror in his works to allude to ambiguity of the female identity, and here I argue that similarities can be seen in Manet's treatment of the mirror in the Bar. A turn from illusion to allusion takes place in the discussion, referring to misconceptions in society and modern Paris (capitalism, consumerism, the flaneur, the spectacle). I aim to highlight the importance of the mirror in the work to gain deeper insight to the meaning of the painting and Manet's intentions in his final masterpiece.

hem de doğrudan kurgu ve gerçek kavramlarının kaçınılmaz bir biçimde
sorunsallaşmasına neden olmuştur. ‘Gerçek nedir?’ ve ‘kurgu nedir?’ soruları bu
tartışmaların ilk elden kavram olarak incelenmesini zorunlu kılmıştır. Gerçek ve kurgu
ayrımı Platon’dan beri yapılagelen bir ayrım olsa da bu ayrımın aslında günümüz
fotoğraf sanatında ‘sözde bir ayrım’ olarak ortaya konması söz konusudur. Gerçek ve
kurgu arasındaki bu ayrımın ‘sözde bir ayrım’ olduğunun bir kanıtı olarak Kanadalı
fotoğraf sanatçısı Jeff Wall gösterilebilir. Gerçek ve kurgu olanın bir harmonisi olan
Wall’un çalışmaları her iki kavramın aslında nasıl ‘gidişli – gelişli’ bir ilişkisi
olduğunu göstermektedir. Bu gidişli-gelişli ilişkisi ise gerçek olmadan kurgu, kurgu
olmadan gerçek olmayacağını ortaya çıkarmaktadır. Dolayısıyla hem gerçek hem de
kurgu birbirlerinin varlık nedenidir ve bu ilişki başka bir kavramın olanağını
yaratmaktadır: kurgusal gerçeklik. Wall’un fotoğrafları kurgusal gerçeklik olarak
değerlendirilebilir. Bu nedenle aslında berraklaşan ve göz önünde bulundurulması
gereken ‘fotoğrafın gerçekliği’nden, başka bir şey değildir. Bu tezde öncelikle birer
kavram olduklarından ötürü gerçek ve kurgu kavramları kendi kavramsallıkları içinde
incelenecek, daha sonra fotoğrafla ve özel olarak Wall’un fotoğraflarının ilgisinde
açımlanacaktır.

In mobile ad hoc networks (MANETs), links are created and destroyed in an unpredictable way, which makes quite challenging the determination of routes between each pair of nodes. In this paper, we propose a formulation of the routing problem in multi-services MANETs, as well as the implementation of an adaptation of the dynamic source routing (DSR) protocol.

In this paper, we address the several issues and challenges for applying machine learning and deep learning techniques in wireless networks. Designing the machine learning base routing algorithm in heterogeneous networks is a big challenge. This article firstly introduces the basic concepts of machine learning and deep learning in wireless networks. Due to the dynamic behaviour of network scenarios in several ad-hoc networks (like vehicular ad-hoc networks and wireless sensor networks), it is very difficult task to prepare a data sets and training of that data. This paper also overviews several works that applied machine learning techniques and deep learning techniques on diverse research areas including networking, communications and lossy environment. The main aim of this survey work is to identify the possible issues and challenging tasks for applying the different deep learning and machine learning algorithms and strategies in wireless networks and find out a proper research direction aiming the realization of a system that detects, predicts and recovers from abnormal situations on wireless networks.
