Th e purpose of the study was to evaluate the eff icacy and feasibility of using website in
biology education. We have explored the World Wide Web as a possible tool for education
about health and nutrition. Th e websites were teaching tools for primary school students.
Control groups used the traditional educational materials as books or worksheets,
and the experimental groups used prepared web-site as an educational tool. Th is experimental
study confirmed the eff icacy of computer–based nutrition education in nutrition
knowledge. Nutrition knowledge score of the experimental group was statistically
non-significant as compared to control group both in posttest and retention test, which
means that using website in nutrition education has similar eff ect on nutrition knowledge
as traditional teaching. Th us, traditional teaching is still valuable compared to ICT approach
in nutrition education.

A Portable server is the combination of popular web server software, namely Apache, MySQL, PHP and PhpMyAdmin. With a portable server, users can develop and display a developed website anywhere at any time as all web server configurations have been installed on the storage drive. Portable servers are ideal for displaying the offline version of the website anywhere when developing a website. Using a mobile server as well, users do not need hosting that requires complicated configuration and can be used to run tests before putting the website online. This study aims to obtain preliminary findings on building portable web server development kits for the teaching and learning process.

Interview Management System in PHP is a project for digitally managing the interviews of any individual. The project contains only admin side. The admin can view, add and delete all the users (candidates) according to their choice. They can also add and update interview questions.
This system is for making the admin work, convenient for taking interviews by marking digitally instead of the paper system. An admin user can register & login to the system to carry out interviews and make decisions of the candidates. The Web has spanned every facet of human life and endeavors.  The penetration of web and social connectivity is crucial to development in this information age. There is a nimiety of information (data) being shared globally from the large database repositories through the World Wide Web. Semantic Web and Web 2.0 are interdependent and complimentary. The future evolution of web is hinged on Semantic Web and Web 2.0. Web 2.0 leverages on Semantic Web infrastructure to deliver mash-up (is a web page, or web application, that uses content from more than one source to create a single new service displayed in a single graphical interface)like information sharing. It is an undeniable fact that the future web applications will retain the Web 2.0 with emphasis on community and usability.

In the nearest future, there is the potential for combining Semantic Web and Web 2.0 web technologies. There are several open issues that needs to be resolved before Semantic Web and Web 2.0 can be commonplace.  Web 2.0 has largely enabled and influenced contribution to the web through simple interfaces that provide engaging interactions. There is huge amount of data (big data) that is being shared, transferred and stored across web which Semantic Web is playing a key role in data integration.

Web 2.0 has the platform for wider audience due to its participatory nature among web users. This is possible because of simple interfaces and usability by non-specialists.  Although, the data is not available for easy interlinking and re-use. Also, Web 2.0 brings about integration of heterogeneous information. On the contrary, Semantic Web lacks approachable interfaces allowing contributions, that is, it is largely closed to user contributions (i.e. non-participatory). However, the large scale data integration in Semantic Web can only be done by Specialists.
The cluster of technologies and design patterns will shape the next evolution of the Web. Semantic web provide a clear way to apply a basic level of formal semantics to the infrastructure and pages of the web. Web 2.0 deals with the design pattern of socially shared meaning while Semantic Web deals with the technologies of socially shared meaning. Therefore, the combination of Semantic Web technologies and Web 2.0 application design pattern will give rise to Social- Semantic Web also known as Web 3.0.

In a social-semantic web, certain formally representable parts of human meaning can be encoded and reasoned about via the tools of the semantic web, but can also be curated and maintained via the social, community-oriented techniques of Web 2.0.

The results of this combination would be powerful indeed. The social-semantic web promises that the subtle variations in meaning that characterize different human communities can be managed via the user-friendly collaboration mechanisms of Web 2.0, while still maintaining the expressive precision and reasoning power of the semantic Web. This would make possible a new class of applications that could leverage the semantic relations that exist between certain kinds of web-accessible data to automatically locate and fuse information, perform basic reasoning, and pivot and transform representations to meet a wide variety of user needs (Greaves and Mika, 2008).
Web 2.0 is a rich network connecting users, the Semantic Web is a network connecting data through semantic relations. The power of linking in networks increases super linearly in networks in general, and that these two networks are no exception. Interconnecting these networks is thus certain to bring value as new connections become possible within them (Greaves and Mika, 2008).
Semantic Web “bridge” technologies (like RDFa, GRDDL, and SPARQL) are used by Web 2.0 applications. Web 2.0 brings massive amounts of user-generated content and a proven recipe of humans and machines working together in synergy. Semantic Web technology will act in two principal ways: by adding structure to user data and by connecting the existing silos of data that characterize the Web 2.0 landscape. Web 2.0 applications always depend on some type of shared semantics—for example, between the software componentsof a mashup, or within the user community that contributes to a particular tagging system(Greaves and Mika, 2008).Semantic Web is a clear and well defined project while Web 2.0 is ill-defined project which lacks a clear explanation of its nature and scope (Florida, 2007).

Food Ordering System in PHP is developed using PHP, JavaScript, and CSS. The project is developed for helping the restaurants by making the digital order taking system. The project contains an admin and user side. All the management like editing site contents, adding staff, updating food items, and checking order status can be managed from the admin side. The admin has an important role in the management of this system.
For the user section, the users are the staff members of the restaurant. Every staff has their account and they can log in to do the task. The staff as a waiter can go to take order with the phone having this app instead of a pen and paper. The food you select comes with the cost as well. And the staff as a chef can smoothly work in the orders without having the waiter to go to them. This project makes a convenient way for staff to manage orders properly and efficiently.

MVC stands for model view controller. This software design pattern creates applications in a modular design separating the tasks into three separate programming modules or areas. The idea has existed historically for decades and according to Wikipedia model-view-controller was introduced in the 1970’s at the Xerox Palo Alto Research Center. MVC can be used in desktop applications, web development projects and in embedded software applications as well.

Although a software engineer could use a similar approach in almost any object oriented programming language for both desktop applications and web applications, it is in recent years that MVC is becoming popular for web applications.

Today the development of information systems is growing, which is a common, if a library has also adopted a separate information system to facilitate the members of the library. the library usually functionalized by visitors as a medium to seek references and information. Problems frequently encountered are the many libraries that have not implement an integrated information system accessible to library members or prospective members of the library. With a library information system is web-based online then will provide a convenience to members and prospective members to obtain references and information needed. This study aims to analyze and design a web-based library information systems and tested the performance of library information systems. Web-based library information system software with PHP and MySQL as well as methods of MVC (Model View Controller), can work in the Internet network, with the ability to receive registration data, display data in the form of searching books, gave the data availability of the book.
