The design of API patterns has grown exponentially over the past few years as compared to the old age meaning that the development of APIs has become of essence than back in the days. This is a research project that will look in the field of the Application Programming Interfaces (API) and be able to apply the techniques used, to the main functionality of the development of car hire management systems in Zimbabwe and abroad. The author is going to research mainly about REST APIs, the integration of payment methods so that at the end a theoretical application can be used to come up with a prototype of the API that can be used in above mentioned field. Integrated in the API are various payment methods such as (Ecocash, Telecash) and ZIMRA tax module. Mainly about REST APIs and integration of payment methods with a view of coming up with comprehensive and easy to use APIs [3].

Open banking is a revolutionized technique of providing banking services to the customer through third party mediums without actually exposing the bank's sensitive data. It implements the RESTful services in form of APIs to encapsulate the data in a JSON format. Open banking coupled with voice enabled services would yield into an efficient method to allow customers to manage their banking tasks with much more ease and hands free manner. Thus this hybrid combination, resulting into Voice-enabled Personal Assistant, serves as a perfect solution to enable banking on the go. Nevertheless, it also proves to be a helpful product for senior citizens and visually impaired people in the banking sector.

Tourism becomes a common thing in an area. People usually spend their spare time for a vacation to a tourist place. As time passes, there are several new tourism spots that cause information about the tourism spots need to be well managed so that users can find information about the place of tourism in detail and practical. The above points encourage the author to discuss research on the design of Tourism Information Systems Information in East Java Province in Android Based. This information system is designed with waterfall method and built using JavaScript Web Object Notation (JSON) web service that can provide information about tourism place in East Java Province in detail and by utilizing tracking technology of Global Positioning System (GPS) from the Google Maps API that can help tourists to know the route to the tourism spots from the GPS point. The result is that this system can search tourist information in East Java Province in detail and show the route to the tourism place from the point of GPS, as well as the recommendation of the best tourism spot to other tourists which is seen by the rating of tourism spots.

A web application is one that is invoked due to a web browser over internet. In just a decade, the web has grown from a repository of static web pages to a powerful platform of choice for developing dynamic applications using large number of web technologies and languages. This survey covers five web technologies from different phases of internet development showing their features for web development.

This paper presents an approach for smart home automation using Internet of Things (IoT ) integration with computer vision, web services and cross-platform mobile services. This project aims to increase home security using the aforementioned approach. The approach focuses on: (1) sending data and receiving instructions by sensors, cameras and servo motors, to and from the end user, through embedding intelligence to the mentioned gadgets using Raspberry Pi tiny computer; (2) assisting interaction of end users and home devices through cross-platform mobile application developed using Ionic Framework; (3) connecting the two client sides, the end user and devices, through publish/subscribe model using PubNub Data Stream Network; (4) data representation and exchange efficiently using JSON data format. Moreover, four use cases were implemented to demonstrate this approach efficiency.

JsonLogic structures, based on JavaScript Object Notation (JSON), are used in software applications in order to create business process rules. However, JsonLogic's textual syntax is different from the general purpose programming languages and it causes difficulties on the formalization of complex business rules. This unfamiliar way of rule creation may also lead to a time-consuming and error-prone development process. In this paper, we introduce a web based visual modeling tool which facilitates the construction of such business rules by following a model-driven engineering methodology. Inside this tool, the developers can visually design business rules with the block programming approach and corresponding JsonLogic codes are automatically generated. Moreover, changes made in these auto-generated codes can be reflected automatically to the related models inside the tool without any human intervention. Hence the synchronization between JsonLogic models and codes is provided. It has also been found that JsonLogic business rules can be created with significantly fewer visual components and hence with simpler models in comparison with the unique editor currently available for the similar purpose. The modeling tool is now used by Hermes Iletisim company during the development of various commercial software products.

Les web services sont définis dans la littérature TI comme étant des cadres d’architecture (Architecture Framework) pour la conversation entre deux ordinateurs, l’un client et l’autre serveur, communiquant ou partageant des informations sur le web et parlant dans un vocabulaire commun avec un fort ensemble de protocoles. Pour Printz Jacques (2012), ce sont des technologies C/S améliorées et qui permettent aux différentes applications informatiques actuelles de pouvoir communiquer entre elles, et cela, même si elles sont implémentées sur différentes plates-formes et/ou avec des langages de programmation différents.
Actuellement, trois types de web services sont implémentes au sein des organisations ou entreprises, à savoir le SOAP, le REST/RESTful et l’OData. Ils sont bâtis sur des cadres d’architecture orientés services (SOA : Service-Oriented Architecture), mais aussi à partir des processus ou services métier bien définis. Décrits de manière générale sous le format cryptographique XML, les trois types de web services cités ci-dessus peuvent posséder plusieurs fonctions, ressources ou services, consommables en effet par des applications informatiques clientes natives, web et/ou hybrides, et peuvent aussi gérer la sécurité́, la fiabilité́ et la gestion de tous les échanges ou partages d’informations entre les ordinateurs dans un réseau de communication.
Dans le cadre du module de cours - Ingénierie des systèmes à base de services -, suivi à l’UPJV, il est demandé à deux étudiants (binôme) de créer un web service, de nom de « W-S Note Reminder », sous l’IDE de leur choix mais acceptant le langage JAVA. De ce fait, notre choix, comme binôme constitué pour ce projet professionnel), est porté sur l’IDE Netbeans pour créer le web service RESTful « « W-S Note Reminder », et ce avec l’aide du langage JAVA EE et du web API JAX-RS. Ce web service sera une architecture logicielle client-serveur qui devrait être capable d’offrir des fonctions, ressources ou services CRUD (Create, Read, Update and Delete) et celles d’authentification des utilisateurs.
En complément, une application cliente devrait être développée pour consommer les différentes fonctions, ressources ou services CRUD à implémenter sur ledit web service à créer. Notre choix est porté sur le type RESTful car ce dernier est considéré́ à ce jour comme étant le plus populaire et utilise le protocole mythique de transfert hypertexte, le HTTP, dans toute son intégralité, notamment avec l’usage des URL significatives ou opaques et des méthodes tels que GET, HEAD, POST et DELETE. La modélisation pour l’ensemble de notre produit-logiciel à créer et/ou à développer sera donc réalisée avec la notation UML.

RESTFul Web Service is implemented using the Web standards that includes HTTP, XML, URI and REST principles. The paper is designed as follows: Section II contains the definition of RESTFul API is answered in-depth. Section III justification for the need of REST. Section IV states all the principles of REST API, and its methods are mentioned in Section V. Section VI discusses on JSON and includes the key differences between XML and JSON. Section VII explains why REST is preferred over SOAP. Section VIII shows how API can be used to ease IOT. Section IX guides how to document APIs correctly. Nowadays, with the ubiquity of information and communication technologies, most of the companies are stepping toward offering their products and services online (using applications or websites), because it is the easiest and fastest way to do it, and they can reach clients all over the world. In general, the payment of these products and services is realized online by customers by entering the information of their bank card on a website. When payments have to be done fast or when it is very repetitive, introducing the payment information of the card can be unpractical and can slow down the whole process. To tackle this issue, we propose a vault application that allows the storage and recovery of the payment information by using tokens and that follows the Payment Card Industry (PCI) standards. The main objective of this application is to save, in a safe location, the payment information of customers, and allow them to recover that information, with a unique safe identifier, at the moment of the payment. This application will relieve customers to repetitively introduce their card information every time they make a purchase, and will speed up the payment process.

Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa aplikasi ini benar-benar digunakan oleh pengguna untuk bepergian dari satu kota ke kota lain dengan menggunakan bus dan untuk mendapatkan informasi yang rinci tentang bus, terminal, dan trayek yang dilewati oleh bus tersebut, serta mengetahui posisi terminal yang paling dekat.

Abstract: For the last two decades, relational databases proved to be more powerful and superior because of features like clear semantics and easy to use .Structural data management support is provided by relational databases. However, in few past years development in IT sector put forward the concept of big data, which deals with extreme large volume and variety in data type and structures. To handle such big data, relational databases are not suitable because of strict constraints on data structure and data relations, and so on. On the other side, MongoDB is getting popular because of its capability in dealing with big data and complex structures. Currently there is no tool for the migration of relational databases to Mongo databases. This migration requires conversion of relational database query like SQL to NoSQL database query like MongoDB query. The modelling allows handling NoSQL data with structured query processing language.

Since its inception, the PROV standard has been widely adopted as a standardized exchange format for provenance information. Surprisingly, this standard is currently not supported by provenanceaware database systems limiting their interoperability with other provenance-aware systems. In this work we introduce techniques for exporting database provenance as PROV documents, importing PROV graphs alongside data, and linking outputs of an SQL operation to the imported provenance for its inputs. Our implementation in the GProM system offloads generation of PROV documents to the backend database. This implementation enables provenance tracking for applications that use a relational database for managing (part of) their data, but also execute some non-database operations.

A corpus (plural corpora) is a collection of pieces of language text in electronic form, selected according to external criteria to represent, as far as possible, a language or language variety as a source of data for linguistic research (statistical analysis, hypothesis testing, checking occurrences or validating linguistic rules within a specific language territory…). This paper highlights the difficulties related to building corpora using heterogeneous textual sources and suggests an adequate solution.

Although NoSQL databases are claimed to be schemaless, several NoSQL database vendors have chosen JSON as agile data representation format and provide a JSON-based API or query facility to simplify the life of application developers. Whereas many applications require the management of temporal data, the JSON Schema language lacks explicit support for time-varying data. In this paper, for a systematic approach to the management of temporal data in NoSQL databases, we propose a framework called Temporal JSON Schema (τJSchema), inspired by the τXSchema framework defined for XML data. τJSchema allows defining a temporal JSON schema from a conventional JSON schema and a set of temporal logical and physical characteristics. Our framework guarantees logical and physical data independence for temporal schemas and provides a low-impact solution since it requires neither modifications of existing JSON documents, nor extensions to the JSON format, the JSON Schema language, and all related tools and languages.

An approach build on discriminative random regression forests was followed in order to achieve fast, accurate and reliable estimation of head pose in uncontrolled environment. Data representing the changes of a person's head direction, concerning two Degrees of Freedom (DOF), pitch and yaw, are collected and stored adopting a lightweight data exchange format (JavaScript Object Notation-JSON). After that, a web visualization approach is proposed in order to improve the understanding and the analysis of the captured 3D data.
