According to the 2018 National Immunization Survey-Teen (NIS-Teen), the human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccination coverage in the U.S. increased from 48.6% to 51.1%.[1] Certain factors contribute to disparity between teenagers receiving HPV vaccination.[1]The factors are geography, race, gender, education level, household income, and etc. Within these factors, household income and income inequality were chosen to be the focus of this study. The relationship between HPV vaccination coverage in the U.S., the household income of interviewed individuals, and the Gini index in the U.S. have been studied in RStudio [2]. By merging the NIS-Teen data of vaccination rate and Gini index data in RStudio, charts and graphs are formed to illustrate the relationship between HPV vaccination rate and income inequality. There seem to be limited correlations between vaccination rate and Gini index, but unexpected connections between vaccination rate and household income have been found.

Professional Social Workers often engage in practice-based research. While researching human subjects, it is imperative to consider research ethics. Reasons it is okay to conduct research using human subjects would be to understand who we are helping.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh salah satu aspek
kepercayaan (trust) yaitu sikap memilih terhadap tingkat partisipasi politik terkait pengambilan keputusan dalam pengggunaan hak pilih pada pemilihan umum di Indonesia. Variabel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah sikap memilih pemimpin yang seagama, sikap memilih pemimpin yang seagama dengan mempertimbangkan ketataatan kandidat calon, dan sikap memilih pemimpin yang berbeda agama dengan mempertimbangkan ketaatan kandidat calon.
Dalam penelitian ini digunakan metode kuantitatif dengan varian analisis
data sekunder. Penelitian ini menggunakan data sekunder Indonesian Family Life Survey (IFLS) 5 pada tahun 2015. Teknik analisis menggunakan regresi linier berganda dengan R-Studio. Responden yang digunakan dipilih berdasarkan usia tepat 17 tahun dan keatas, dimana merupakan batas minimal seseorang dapat menggunakan hak pilihnya. Responden penelitian ini ada 34.663 orang yang tersebar pada 23 provinsi yang ada di Indonesia.
Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa variabel dummy sikap memilih
pemimpin seagama terdapat nilai estimate sebesar 0,011055 yang memiliki arah positif, artinya setiap satu peningkatan pada variabel ini berpengaruh 1,1 % seseorang untuk mengambil keputusan menggunakan hak pilihnya. Pada variabel sikap memilih pemimpin yang seagama dengan mempertimbangkan ketataatan kandidat calon terdapat nilai estimate 0,014628 , artinya setiap satu peningkatan pada variabel ini berpengaruh 1,4% menaikkan seseorang untuk mengambil keputusan menggunakan hak pilihnya. Kemudian variabel sikap memilih pemimpin yang berbeda agama dengan mempertimbangkan ketaatan kandidat calon menunjukkan hasil yang berbeda yaitu terdapat nilai estimate -0,017370, hal ini menunjukkan arah pengaruh negatif terhadap pengambilan keputusan dalam penggunaan hak pilih.

Las observaciones y estudios In situ permiten determinar los cambios producidos en los ecosistemas naturales. Pero actualmente los sistemas de información geográfica resultan una alternativa confiable para evaluar estas afectaciones. Por esta razón se analizó los cambios producidos en la cobertura vegetal del Archipiélago de Jambelí al año 2019, debido a la importancia medio ambiental, económica y social, por medio del cálculo de índices espectrales del paquete RStoolbox del software RStudio e imágenes satelitales Landsat 8. Además, se describir las razones que han favorecido la degradación de la cobertura vegetal, por medio de un análisis bibliográfico. Visualmente se presentaron mejores resultados en los índices SAVI, NDVI valores menores a -0,1 y NDWI. La desforestación de los manglares se debe principalmente a la implementación de piscinas artificiales para la producción de camarón y la extracción de moluscos y crustáceos. Además, como precursores negativos se determinaron las políticas y conflictos socioeconómicos y ambientales entre pobladores e industria acuícola permitiendo se continúe degradando el ecosistema natural.

This thesis analyzes crash frequency and crash patterns using comprehensive datasets of traffic data at fine aggregation levels and detailed crash records, targeting some of the limitations related to using Average Annual Daily Traffic (AADT) for safety analysis. Being the most aggregated form of traffic volume, AADT does not capture variations of traffic volumes at different times of day but allows for developing crash frequency models and provides valuable information to understand the overall effect of conflicting demands, which in turn can be used to devise countermeasures and achieve safety improvements. However, AADT or even approach-level demands do not provide a clear picture of vehicle interactions, particularly for left-turn (LT) movements, where conflicting movements specifically relate to left-turning and opposing demands. In this research, high-resolution movement-level demands disaggregated up to 5-minute periods were collected on UDOT (Utah Department of Transportation) intersections over extended time periods. This high-resolution dataset was used to analyze conflict levels at the moment crashes occurred, and this information together with the overall exposure to such conditions was used to develop a measure of true left-turn crash risk. This unique method of estimating the risk (crash rates) in the intersections is used to quantify the effect of increasing left-turning and opposing volumes, develop a risk model, and estimate risk levels for a given approach throughout the day. Analysis shows a clear trend of increasing risk with increasing volumes, with a defined sharper increase in risk for an increase in left-turn volume versus a similar increase in through volume. This method can be used with online data streams to continuously monitor risk changes in real-time and proactively identify candidate locations for safety improvements even before an increase in crash frequency is observed.

Los fenómenos geográficos se desarrollan de manera continúa sobre una extensión de la superficie terrestre (en, sobre o bajo ella), y ha sido un desafío constante crear un modelo de representación tan simple para ser almacenado, procesado y visualizado con facilidad, tan complejo que permita perder el mínimo de información crítica y versátil que permita mantener el nivel de detalle proporcional a la riqueza del mundo real.

Ese modelo se ha denominado modelo ráster y es el tema principal del presente libro, su origen, fundamentos, propiedades y algunos usos serán descritos en detalle.

Para ello, se basa en la Plataforma R y RStudio, unas de las herramientas informáticas más poderosas en la actualidad. Desde la instalación de las aplicaciones, pasando por una guía básica de su utilización, hasta una detallada descripción del trabajo con dicho modelo.

En sus casi 700 páginas encuentras principios teóricos y ejercicios prácticos utilizando el modelo ráster en sus dos expresiones principales:

1) Vía la utilización de celdas, como por ejemplo en estudios geomorfométricos, batimétricos, clima y población.

2) Usando píxeles en el empleo de imágenes satelitales. Donde se abordan los fundamentos tanto teóricos como prácticos de la teledetección, como una amplia introducción a los sensores de resolución media (MODIS, Landsat, Sentinel).

Aprovecho de comentar que el libro ha sido escrito, editado, corregido y publicado a su formato final utilizando solamente R y RStudio, lo que también es prueba de la gran versatilidad y poder de dichas herramientas.

This study analyses the impact of population, Per Capita Personal Income (PCPI), Literacy Rate (%), Murder Rates, High School Graduation Rate, Average Temperature °F, Land size (Sq. Miles), Poverty rate (%) on the Life Expectancy (Years) in the USA. The aim of this study is to understand how different factors affect the life expectancy in the different states in the USA. In any society, the Life Expectancy is determined by a myriad of factors such as genes, food availability (scarcity), exercise, access to clean water, access to clean air, access to health facilities among many others. The correlation coefficients between Life Expectancy and the predictors are as follows: Population (0.24), Per Capita Personal Income (0.67), Literacy (0.04), Murder (-0.46), High School Graduation rate (0.43), Average Temperature (-0.29), Land Size (0.07) and Poverty rate (-0.75). The reduced model shows that four quantitative predictors and the categorical predictor (region) are significant in explaining the variability in the life expectancy (F = 30.47, p-value = 1.088 x 10-14 ≈ 0.000). This indicates that we reject the null hypothesis that there is no significant regression and conclude that there is significant regression between the Life Expectancy and the predictor variables. The explanatory variables that are significant (at 95% level of confidence) in explaining the variability in the life expectancy are region, population, per capita income, average temperature and poverty. The value of the adjusted coefficient of determination (R-squared) in the reduced model is 0.8049 which implies that the model has a good fit. 80.49% of the variability in the life expectancy is explained by the predictors in this study holding all other factors constant. It is important for policy makers to make use of the findings of this study in order to improve the life expectancies across all the states.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh 'trust' atau rasa saling percaya terhadap pengambilan keputusan dalam penggunaan hak pilih pada pemilihan kepala daerah. Penelitian  ini  menggunakan  metode kuantitatif  dengan  varian analisis data sekunder. Teknik analisis menggunakan regresi linier berganda dengan R-Studio. Variabel penelitian ini menggunakan variabel dummy. Responden penelitian ini ada 34.663 orang yang tersebar pada 23 provinsi yang ada di Indonesia. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa semua variabel independen berprengaruh signifikan. Variabel dummy sikap memilih pemimpin seagama dan sikap memilih pemimpin yang seagama dengan mempertimbangkan ketataatan kandidat; dan dihasilkan nilai estimate berturut-turut sebesar 0,011055 dan 0,014628. Hasil tersebut mempunyai arti bahwa variabel-variabel tersebut berpengaruh positif terhadap variabel dependen dan dapat meningkatkan angka partisipasi politik. Kemudian pada variabel sikap memilih pemimpin yang berbeda agama dengan mempertimbangkan ketaatan kandidat calon justru menunjukkan hasil yang berbeda yaitu terdapat nilai estimate sebesar -0,017370. Hal ini menunjukkan arah pengaruh  yang negatif terhadap variabel dependen yang artinya dapat menurunkan angka partisipasi politik.

Purpose-The purpose of this paper is to use scientometric analysis to identify the current state of the academic literature regarding Digital humanities(DH) and analyze its knowledge base such as highly contributing researchers, countries, organizations, sources, keyword analysis and subject areas. Design/methodology/approach-This study carried out a scientometric study on DH literature, 2909 records were retrieved from Scopus database, time span chosen as 2005-2020 as 15 years of study in DH research area. Retrieved data can be analyzed by using VOSviewer,Bibliometrix R package scientometric tools. Findings-The findings suggested the enormous proliferation of DH research during last 15 years, social sciences scores highest position in subject category with (30.3%) publications. Hyvonen, Eero is the higly contributing author. USA is the most productive country. The King's College London tops as the highly productive institutions in the DH research area. This study also shows strong co-authorship pattern between authors, countries and institutions. The most frequently used keyword in DH research is "Digital humanities". Originality/value-This study on scientometric analysis in DH literature may inform researchers and scholars of current trends and development in DH research area. .

Este trabajo intenta comprender el funcionamiento de las voces autorizadas en Twitter durante la pandemia de COVID-19 y su interacción con los usuarios ordinarios. Se define a las voces autorizadas como usuarios de perfil público que poseen gran cantidad de seguidores, y cuyos mensajes son diseminados masivamente en la plataforma por los usuarios ordinarios. Para ello se recolectó un conjunto de tuits a lo largo de dos meses a través de la API de Twitter, y luego se formó un subconjunto de datos con los tuits replicados más de 100 veces. A este subconjunto se le aplicaron técnicas de etiquetado, minería de datos y análisis de sentimientos. Se observa que el marco interpretativo de la pandemia se encuentra modelado por los medios de comunicación, aunque existen percepciones propias de los usuarios ordinarios acerca de la pandemia como un momento de crisis económica, de salud, política y personal que no se encuentran presentes en las voces autorizadas. Se concluye que los medios de comunicación y los funcionarios de gobierno de primeras líneas son los que lograron mayor adhesión y amplificación de la palabra por parte de los usuarios ordinarios, aunque se observa una brecha de género importante entre las voces de los hombres y las de las mujeres.

Im Rahmen des größtenteils digitalen "Corona-Semesters" entstand am Fachbereich Wirtschaftswissenschaften der Hochschule Harz diese kurze Einführung in R und RStudio für die Studierenden im berufsbegleitenden Bachelor-Studiengang Betriebswirtschaftslehre.

El objetivo principal de este trabajo es mostrar las diferentes propuestas de gráficos multivariantes en seguimiento de proyectos de inversión tales como diagramas de caja y bigotes, gráficos de tallo y cajas, diagramas de dispersión, dendrograma, caras de Chernoff, curvas de Andrews, gráficos de estrella y gráficos de radar. Este estudio se justifica debido a que no existe mucha difusión de este tipo de gráficos y además no todos los softwares estadísticos permiten implementar estos, siendo una excepción a esto RStudio.
Se trata de un estudio de alcance exploratorio y diseño no experimental, transversal y descriptivo. La población está formada por 23 departamentos del Perú junto con la provincia constitucional del Callao. Debido a que la información para el departamento de Tumbes resultó estar incompleta, se optó por eliminar esta. Por tanto, la muestra final estuvo conformada por 23 observaciones y 7 variables con información sobre al seguimiento de ejecución de proyectos de inversión en Perú en el año 2021. Se hizo uso de técnicas gráficas de análisis multivariado utilizando el entorno de desarrollo integrado RStudio para su procesamiento.
Los resultados exponen diversas tendencias, conglomerados y análisis descriptivo de las 23 observaciones de la muestra respecto al seguimiento de ejecución en proyectos de inversión a través de los diversos gráficos multivariantes.
Podemos concluir que, mediante estos gráficos, se pudieron identificar similitudes entre las unidades de estudio, así como agrupamientos y valores atípicos (outliers). Además, se puede describir cómo fue la ejecución de proyectos de inversión en cada uno de los departamentos y la provincia del Callao que forman parte de la muestra.

Secara umum, covid-19 menimbulkan guncangan signifikan dalam perekonomian, termasuk di dalamnya adalah pasar modal. Pasar modal terutama pada saham perbankan menimbulkan berfluktuasi harga yang cukup tinggi sehingga mempengaruhi return saham yang diperoleh oleh investor. Covid-19 ini mempengaruhi sentimen investor terhadap return saham. Selain itu masih ada perdebatan dalam EMH dimana investor dianggap rasional. Namun tidak sedikit penelitian yang membantah hal tersebut. Dalam hal ini penulis menemukan bahwa sentimen investor berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap return saham perbankan yang diukur dari trading volume selama covid-19. Sementara jika dilihat dari Google Tren, sentimen investor tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap return saham. Hal ini dikarenakan pasar (investor) tidak terlalu sensitif terhadap berita atau informasi yang tersebar di internet.

Biostatistics is a critical skill to physicians in an evidence-based medicine era, but teaching basic statistical concepts is challenging. Students often experience anxiety caused by the complexity of statistics and might express negative attitudes toward the subject. We aimed to analyze the effect of an introductory biostatistics course using RStudio on attitude toward statistics and assess its acceptance among medical students. Forty-three 1st-year medical students were included. Pre- and post-course attitudes toward statistics were assessed using the Survey of Attitudes Toward Statistics (SATS-28) scale and technology acceptance was assessed by a Technology Acceptance Model scale at the end of the course. There was a statistically discernible (significant) gain in the scores of three of the four SATS dimensions: affection (p = 0.006, Cohen’s d = 0.442), cognitive competence (p < 0.001, Cohen’s d = 0.605), and difficulty (p = 0.008, Cohen’s d = 0.421). Acceptance of RStudio was moderate to high in 93% of the participants, without statistical differences between genders. RStudio can be useful in the teaching of statistics to medical students, being well accepted and positively associated with students’attitude toward statistics. En la gestión de los volúmenes de regulación del recurso hídrico proyectados para una variedad de beneficios (aprovechamientos hidroeléctricos, riego, agua potable, entre otros), es imprescindible calcular las variables morfométricas de los embalses para anticipar cambios en su morfología y predecir cómo estos cambios podrían afectar el aprovechamiento proyectado. En este documento, tomando en consideración los conceptos fundamentales del Cálculo Integral, se presenta el desarrollo de una metodología innovadora para obtener las curvas Cota-Volumen y Cota-Área en embalses; la metodología fue formulada en lenguaje de programación R con la ayuda de herramientas de información geográfica. Se ha logrado una optimización computacional para el procesamiento de las variables de nivel, área y volumen de un cuerpo de regulación con respecto a la utilización de metodologías tradicionales. Para validar la herramienta desarrollada se obtuvieron las curvas de capacidad del volumen de regulación del embalse Minas - San Francisco ubicado al sur de la republica del Ecuador. Este embalse fue diseñado para desalojar sus sedimentos con procesos de lavado. Este hecho ha motivado el monitoreo continuo de las condiciones morfológicas del embalse para planificar los procesos de mantenimiento por la pérdida del volumen asociado a los depósitos de partículas provenientes de sus tributarios. Además, se aplicó un análisis basado en curvas wavelets a los modelos digitales de elevación obtenidos con técnicas LiDAR y ecosonda batimétrica, para evidenciar los procesos de sedimentación que ocurren en este cuerpo de regulación.

Analyzing language can help us understand the deeper emotions and meanings behind a body of text. One way to investigate this is to analyze words mathematically. As researchers, we wanted to explore how word usage and semantic content varied between top academic journals. We collected the text of 10,000 abstracts and ran the data through LIWC to get semantic insight. Statistical analysis was conducted to determine if word usage varies within and across the top 5 journals. This is an exploratory study to help us understand how semantics impact the perceived credibility of an article.

El objetivo de este trabajo es doble. Primero, defender que la lingüística de corpus puede ser un método perfectamente aplicable a la filosofía experimental del lenguaje. Segundo, presentar un caso de estudio que haga uso de los métodos de la lingüística de corpus para mostrar las ventajas de aplicar esta metodología a la filosofía experimental del lenguaje. El estudio que se presenta muestra la existencia en los debates parlamentarios de un fenómeno al que llamaré “desacuerdo estratégico”.

Background: This study examined the association of statin use and musculoskeletal conditions in statin users and nonusers within the population of U.S. Air Force active duty Service members in the military health care system. Methods: The study was a retrospective cohort analysis of Service members between 2004 and 2014 as identified from personnel data having physical fitness and cardiac risk data available and who were free of musculoskeletal diagnoses for 6 months before the study period. Based on pharmacy data, participants were divided into two groups: statin users (received a statin for at least 90 days) and nonusers (never received a statin throughout the study period). Using participants’ baseline characteristics, a propensity score was generated and used to match statin users to nonusers in a 1:3 ratio. Conditional logistic regression was used to determine the odds ratio (OR) for a musculoskeletal injury. Findings: A total of 123,138 participants met study criteria (592 statin users and 122,546 nonusers). Of these, 516 statin users were propensity score matched to 1,548 nonusers. Among matched pairs, statin users had a higher OR (OR: 1.369; 95% confidence interval [CI]: 1.166–1.606) for musculoskeletal conditions. This association was driven by a higher frequency of back problems in statin users relative to nonusers. The number needed to be exposed for one additional person to be harmed was 20.104 (95% CI: 10.326–232.711). Discussion: Statin use was associated with an increased likelihood of musculoskeletal conditions in the population of U.S. Air Force active duty Service members. Further investigations should evaluate the contribution of duty-related physical requirements as well as the duration of musculoskeletal condition-associated duty limitations. © 2017, Association of Military Surgeons of the US. Indonesia is a country with a large population. Based on the results of
the 2020 census, Indonesia's population ranks fourth in the world. The
Indonesian government has made a policy to reduce population growth,
namely the Family Planning Program or Keluarga Berencana (KB). One
of the areas that did not escape the target was the DIY. Based on
BKKBN DIY data, there is a significant difference between the number
of active KB participants and the number of couples of childbearing
ages, the number of KB equipment and the number of KB health
facilities that exist between sub-districts in Sleman Regency. Then the
sub-district classification is carried out based on the 2020 KB data in
Sleman Regency using the K-Medoids Clustering method. This study
aims to see the sub-district grouping used as a reference by the
government in increasing active KB participants in the community to
overcome the population in Yogyakarta, primarily focusing on Sleman.
The categories in each cluster, namely Cluster 1, which consists of 6
sub-districts, have a high level of KB active participants, couples of
reproductive ages, KB equipment, and KB health facilities. Then
Cluster 2, which consists of 6 sub-districts, has a medium level of KB
active participants, couples of reproductive ages, KB equipment, and
KB health facilities. While Cluster 3 consists of 5 sub-districts, where
KB active participants, teams of reproductive age, KB equipment, and
KB health facilities are low level.

We do not model the COVID-19 pandemic ; we model only the number of cases.The proposed heuristic is based on a simple observation that the plot of the given data is well approximated by an exponential curve. The exponential curve is used for forecasting the growth of new cases. It has been tested for the last situation report of the last day. Biostatistics is a critical skill to physicians in an evidence-based medicine era, but teaching basic statistical concepts is challenging. Students often experience anxiety caused by the complexity of statistics and might express negative attitudes toward the subject. We aimed to analyze the effect of an introductory biostatistics course using RStudio on attitude toward statistics and assess its acceptance among medical students. Forty-three 1st-year medical students were included. Pre- and post-course attitudes toward statistics were assessed using the Survey of Attitudes Toward Statistics (SATS-28) scale and technology acceptance was assessed by a Technology Acceptance Model scale at the end of the course.
