Introduction: Sampang is one of the districts in East Java that has many problems faced, especially in the health sector. With a population of 947,614 inhabitants, Sampang facing the issue of professionalism of health workers, nurses 'career paths, high prevalence of Tuberculosis, and high incidence of disasters (floods) in Sampang Regency that require nurses' readiness and ability in an emergency situation. Nurses as the frontline of health services are required to be able to demonstrate their professionalism through the effectiveness and success of the actions taken. Rwanda embarked on a new curriculum based-competences in 2015. It is in this regards the Rwanda Education Board has continuously trained its counterparts in all areas of education. The present study intends to describe how teachers’ training college leavers’ support and are ready to implement this curriculum towards their students’ career teaching. The study used qualitative and group discussion research approach and method respectively to design and gather its data. The study found a relationship between mastering the new curriculum and preparation of lesson plan and teaching activities as input towards achieving a career teaching path skilful teachers needed by the Rwandan society. The study shows that this framework is expected to be reflected by teachers. It also shows how Rwandan student-teachers are likely to be motivated to change toward producing competent students at all levels in the global market.Keywords: TTC leavers, Expectations to master CBC, career teaching

The power of projects has been demonstrated by the growth in their use across an increasing range of industries and workplaces in recent years. Not only has the number of people involved in project management increased, but the qualifications and backgrounds of those people have also broadened, with engineering no longer being the only path to project management (PM). Predicting the career trajectories in Project Management has become more important for both organisations employing project managers and project managers building career portfolios. Creating career pathways to facilitate current dental and other healthcare providers becoming dental therapists can be an efficient means to expand the dental workforce and reduce barriers to access to oral health services. Career pathways are proposed to facilitate dental providers building on previously learned skills to broaden their scope of practice and become even more versatile and productive providers of oral health services. Creation of a unified and integrated curriculum will enable research to document the effectiveness of this new dental provider who will work as part of dental teams and with supervision by dentists. The goal of augmenting the current dental team and reducing barriers to access to dental services for underserved populations can be enhanced by offering alternative pathways to achieve the competencies required of dental therapists.

This initiative promotes the professional development and career advancement of mid-career social work faculty through implementation of a formalized one-on-one faculty mentoring program and creation of a schoollevel office of professional development devised to build the school’s infrastructure for faculty professional development and research. Ninety-six percent of total costs for the initiative will be funded by the School of Social Work. The remaining 4% (or $5,000) is requested from the IUPUI Mentoring Academy. Program goals and indicators will be tracked and reported throughout the life of the initiative, and annual evaluations will be conducted to gauge overall impact of the mentoring program on IUSSW’s faculty’s career development and advancement to full-rank. Public accounting professions play a crucial role in the economic advancement. However, only few graduates in accounting majors are interested in this profession. This is quite unsettling. Knowledge is one of the determinants in selecting future career path. Therefore, this studyaims at describing the role of accounting knowledge with regard to the students’ intentions to work in public-accounting-related profession using the Theory of Planned Behavior (PBC) approach. Surveys, interviews, document analyses and observations were used to collect data. In conclusion, accounting knowledge played an important role in stimulating attitude and perceived behavioral control and eventually increased the students’ intention to work in public-accounting-related profession. This had a fairly major role, especially for high calibre students. On the other hand, subjective norms occurred in their selection of accounting major per se, and did not have any roles in defining their career selection.

Each year colleges and universities market criminology and criminal justice programs to potential applicants by suggesting these programs offer a uniquely tailored path for those seeking entry into a policing career. Despite such claims, little empirical research exists to suggest that degree content is a factor in influencing recruitment outcomes. In this paper, we present results from an ongoing, exploratory study into pre-recruitment education to show that program content—in this case, a criminology or criminal justice diploma or degree—has generally little influence on how police agencies evaluate a potential applicant. Drawing on interviews with thirty-two (n = 32) police recruiters and senior officers from police services across the province of Ontario in Canada, we show that, while many agencies prefer candidates with degrees, criminology and criminal justice degree holders are not privileged in the recruiting process over those applicants from other disciplines.

A defense-level systems engineering competency model for use in key human resource functions, such as hiring, promoting, and administering skill(s) gap assessments, and for career path modeling and development planning, has been verified for use by the DoD. The model was verified based on analysis of a survey administered by the U.S. Office of Personnel Management of 6,011 incumbents (or employees) and 1,519 supervisors in systems engineering across the Navy, Marine Corps, Army, Air Force, and the Missile Defense Agency. This paper presents a summary of the competencies and tasks of the resulting defense systems engineering career competency model. A comparison of the competencies and tasks among the components surveyed is presented and analyzed. The paper examines how individual motivations, the role of the supervisor and gender influence the early career path of doctorate holders. We investigate PhD graduates’ occupational outcomes beyond academia in the framework of current literature on the oversupply of PhD holders and labor market constraints. Our analysis relies on two unique datasets. The first, at the national level, includes microdata from the Italian National Institute of Statistics regarding about 41,000 graduates who account for over 70% of the population of 6 cohorts surveyed for the period 2004–2014. The other dataset is from a single university, and resulted from an original survey of 760 PhD holders who earned their doctorates from the University of Turin in 2007–2017. This study aims to assess the impact of leadership effectiveness, work motivation, and compensation on employee job satisfaction, as well as their influence on job engagement at PT. Beautiful Gift Partners. A survey method with a quantitative approach was employed, targeting 200 employees from the company. Using the Slovin formula, 133 respondents were selected. Statistical analyses included validity and reliability tests, path analysis, partial hypothesis testing (t-test), and the Sobel test. Findings reveal that leadership effectiveness positively influences job satisfaction, while work motivation does not. Compensation positively affects job satisfaction, yet job satisfaction does not significantly impact work engagement. Furthermore, leadership effectiveness, work motivation, and compensation do not directly influence work engagement through job satisfaction.

This study’ aims to determine the contribution of Career Path and Role Ambiguity to Employee Performance at PT Wijaya Anugerah Cipta Optima. The independent variables are Career Path And Role Ambiguity, while the dependent variables is Employee Performance . This study uses a quantitative approach. The sample used in this study was 55 respondens using a random sampling method from all the labor population at PT Wijaya Anugerah Cipta Optima. The method used is a quantitive method. Primary data collection was obtained from the distribution of quesionnaires and secondary data obtained from agencies. The results of this study indicate that Career Path (X1) and Role Ambiguity (X2) contribute positively to the performance of employee (Y) of PT Wijaya Anugerah Cipta Optima. Access to scientific careers for women has never been easy, but as biases and barriers slowly begin to diminish, women are becoming more and more involved in science, especially Biological Sciences. Some of the reasons why women do not have the same opportunities to achieve career pathways equal to those of men are discussed. We conclude that there is an ongoing need to design and apply new policies to effect a gender balance throughout the career path. This is seen not simply as an equitable outcome – it is a moral imperative.

Career planning has become more important than standalone job decisions in the current environment, where individuals have a wider range of choices of occupations and jobs than ever before. This paper reviews the theoretical developments in career guidance theory and recommends a holistic approach towards ‘Career Path Guidance’, incorporating psychological, sociological and developmental perspectives. An approach that considers several future steps in a career cannot be without challenges.
