Use thigh muscles to lift .avoid jerk while lifting and sharp
turn while moving .provide training on safe manual
material handling.

Proper manual handling techniques to be followed and


maintain the proper body posture.

All person must wear mandatory PPE such as helmet with


chin strap,safety shoe,coverall, safety glasses, dust mask
and safety gloves ,rubber gloves & gumboots.

Also additional PPE as required as per the site and as


mentioned in the work permit .

Driver must be competen person and have the valid

Follow Qatar Steel Traffic rules such as, wear seat belt,
follow speed limit 30km/hr. for light motor vehicle,
20km/hr. for heavy motor vehicle.

Don’t use mobile phone while driving, vehicle should be


parked in a designated area in a reverse position.

Comply with the traffic signage’s within QS and maintain


the safe distance.

high noise by jack hammer. Job rotation to avoid long
term vibration exposure.

Do not use incomplete uninspected and unapproved


scaffolding. Ensure the scaffolding is holding a valid green

Ensure the entrants handover the training card to the CS


attendant prior to entering inside the confined space.

CS rescue plan to be developed in coordination with Fire


& security section (rescue team) and to complied.

CS entry log sheet has to be maintained by the CS


attended.
Buddy system and job rotation has to be followed with 10
minutes break after continuously working of 1 hour if it is a
dusty environment confined space and for non-dusty
environment confined space 2 hours continuous working
with 10 minutes break has to be followed.

Adequate signages related to confined spcae to be


posted and ensure the QS confined space procdure are
followed through out the activity.
The physical space between people will be at last 2 SUPERVISOR / PTW HOLDER PERSON
meters at all times.

If physical distance covid not be maintained . Face mask


& hand gloves to be worn .
