CBT is a training delivery


approach that focuses on
the competency
development of the
learner as a result of the
training.
Competency-Based Training .

1. emphasizes most on what the learner can actually do;
2. focuses on outcomes rather than the learning process
within specified time;
3. is concerned with the attainment and application of
knowledge, skills and attitude to a specific level of
competency.

TRAINER

ROLE OF THE CBT
TRAINEE
Trainees may select what they want to learn and when they want to
learn it, within reason.
Trainees learn at their own rate within program guidelines.

Trainees may request to receive credit for what they already know .

Trainees may choose how they want to learn-individually.

Trainees are responsible for what they learn and when they learn it.

Trainees decide when they are ready to perform each task.

Trainees compete against pres job standards and not other students
job.

Trainees evaluate their own progress to see how well they are doing.

Trainees move freely in the workshop, laboratory and or training center.

Trainees know how they will be rated mainly on performance.

QUALIFICATION:
◦ Technical Drafting NC II Qualification consists of
competencies that a person must achieve to
enable him / her to draft architectural layout
and detail(structural,electrical/electronic,
sanitary/plumbing, and mechanical) drawings
using both CAD system and manual drafting
methods.

◦ This Qualification is packaged from the


competency map of CONTRUCTION sector.

trainees detailed instructions to guide
them through the learning process.

Training Facilities and
Resources
1. Practical Work Area – this area is where the trainee acquires skills
and knowledge components of the
competencies prescribed by the standards.
2. Learning Resource center – this are provides the trainee with the
knowledge requirements in the various modules.
3. Institutional Assessment Area – this is where recognition of prior
learning is done by the trainer.
4. Contextual Learning Laboratory – this facility ensures that the
underpinning knowledge, the science and
mathematics and communication principles as applied to
the technology are provided.
5. Trainers Resource Area – this area houses the learning materials, the training
regulations and curriculum exemplars.
6. Distance Learning Area – this is implemented in selected qualifications and
training canters with Internet connections.
7. Computer Laboratory – this area depicts the major physical change in the
delivery- the use of Information Technology.
HOUSE RULES

1. Students should bring their ID’s.


2. Students must wear their proper clothes or uniforms
3. Eating inside the room/ the practical work is prohibited.
4. Sitting or standing is the stairway is prohibited for emergency
purposes.
5. Smoking and splitting on the floor is strictly prohibited.
6. Bringing pets are not allowed.
7. Bringing of firearms and deadly weapons are prohibited.
8. No vandalism inside the facility.
9. Only authorized personnel are allowed in the some areas.
