OBJECTIVE
Reuse the waste plastic, to reduce economical problems.
To reduce the amount of waste plastic for land filling.
To clean the environment.
To compare strength of bricks casted with mixture of liquid form of waste plastic
and natural soil to burnt bricks and flyash bricks.
To vary the percentage of plastic in bricks to determine the stremgth performance.

Conclusion
INTRODUCTION
The plastic waste is naturally available in adequate quantity.
Plastic has many advantages as it is compact and light in weight.
Common plastic items that are used are bags, bottles , containers and food
packages.
Plastic is made of polymer chemicals and they are not bio degradable. This means
that plastic will not decompose when it is buried.
The use of waste plastic bottles for the production of bricks is an optimal method
to solve the problem of storing waste materials and to optimize the cost for the
production of building materials.

EXPERIMENTAL STUDY
Collection Process:
In this the collection procedure was done to acquire the required measure of
materials for the preparation of plastic bricks.
And further more to get the great quality materials for getting the
extraordinary
quality and other physical properties.
Plastic is a wide range of synthetic or semi-synthetic materials that use polymers
as a main ingredient.
Their plasticity makes it possible for plastics to be moulded, extruded or pressed
into solid objects of various shapes.
Plastics is usually classified by the chemical structure of the polymer's backbone
and side chains.
It can also be classified by its physical properties, including hardness, density,
tensile strength, thermal resistance, and glass transition temperature.
Types of Plastics:

1. Polyethylene terephthalate (PET or PETE)

2. High-density polyethylene (HDPE or PE-HD)
3. Polyvinyl chloride (PVC or V)
4. Low-density polyethylene (LDPE or PE-LD)
5. Polypropylene (PP)
6. Polystyrene (PS)
Sand:
Sand is a granular material made out of finely separated shake and mineral
particles.
It is defined by size.
The tests like Specific gravity, Fineness modulus, and Sand Replacement
test were directed for getting the physical properties of sand.
PREPARATION PROCESS:
Batching of Plastic:
The plastic is collected from nearby garbage is batched.
To ensure that there was no water content in the sample taken after classifying the
plastic, water in the collected material is removed through hair dryer and any
other garbage was removed through hand segregation.
Mixing:

After crushing the plastic, M-sand and cement is added.

The plastic dust, sand and cement is mixed continuously until the mixture became
well proportion and consistent.
The hand mixing method was used.
The proportion of plastic , sand and cement (1:1:2) is put into the mixer.
 Then, two cup of water (500 ml) is poured and mixed up together.
 Finally, the mixture is put into the mould to form bricks.
Moulding:
In the moulding process, the prepared mixture was put into the mould and pressed
down with a tamping rod.
The tamping rod applied pressure to ensure that the mixture filled the mould
appropriately.
Oil was applied to the walls of the mould before filling it so that the bricks would
be readily removed at the end.
After 10 hours, the brick was taken from the mould.
