Ada dua pandangan yang bertolak belakang. Dari sisi pemerintah kebijakan perencanaan bahasa itu penting agar bahasa bisa berkembang kearah yang diinginkan ( pemerintah) secara cepat dengan hasil yang optimal. Namun ada juga pandangan yang menentang yang menganggap bahwa bahasa tidak perlu dibina, bahasa sebaiknya dibiarkan berkembang dengan sendirinya tanpa campur tangan pemerintah apalagi mensemestakan hakekat fungsi/kaidah bahasa nasional ke dalam bahasa Barat ( Inggris). World today is increasingly developing techniques along with the development of technology, it is seen also in the automotive industry, especially in the two-wheeler automotive industry / motorcycle. From year to year, two-wheeler manufacturers constantly innovate the products they produce. If we observe, the development of today's motorcycles follow the trend in driving comfort, as evidenced by the issuance of a motor with CVT technology / Continuously Variable transmition which is a gearbox technology on an ongoing basis in accordance with the rotation speed of the engine. This study emphasized on the diagnosis of the problems that occur on a motorcycle, especially Honda Vario CVT technology or better known as the motor matic to specialize in the transmission / CVT. Methods of data collection research began using the method of observation, and the literature or known to the literature. The design of an expert system to detect damage to the motor is made by using the forward chaining method with the Microsoft Visual Basic programming language is a programming language which is made for creating applications, currently drafting its database using Microsoft Access. The expert system makes it easy for users matic motor to determine damage to the motor maticnya in depth and determine any kind of spare parts that should be replaced by the appropriate application of damage symptoms. Open up their knowledge of what components are contained on the motor matic and ultimately consumers are satisfied with the application.

Learning method was fun to study that really need for students. In the expansion to day, learning method could made in a game or it could called education game, this way did to help student how to make students interesting to study mathematic. In this research, the data used first form data premier where data got by interview with teacher from first grade of 05 Kedungsuren elementary school to get the subject curriculum. Second, the secondary data was learning books that related about developing and produce system of the study. Result of the research showed that design resulted in mathematic subject that made became interesting with fun method and also study. This method used computer to help and exploit data base to save. The method improved for study that made with SDLC method.

At present time English has been a global language widely used in various areas one of them is education. In Indonesia, English is considered a foreign language, a language learned as a school subject. To learn English, learners need motivation since learners need to be driven to success. Therefore motivation plays a crucial role in teaching learning process. In previous reseraches, it turned out that instrumental or external motivation was the one driving learners to learn English in countries in which English is as a foreign language. This result implicates that in those countries, motivation dominating in English learning process was instrumental motivation suggesting that it was the basic motivation which encouraged learners to learn English due to the wish to pass tests, to get good scores, to get jobs, and to enhance career. While in countries in which English acts as a second language, as means of communication both in education and business, learners learning English are integratively motivated due to inner needs to develop their skills in English, while the exposure of external factors such as media, environment also play important role

The phenomenon of qualification, competence and teacher performance is still low so that the need for information quickly and accurately for teachers to improve the performance of teachers to explore, interact and maximize the functions of information technology in education as an important solution for information, knowledge and insight teachers in anticipation of the competition and the challenge of rapid educational world. This study aims to analyze and describe the use of the Internet at high school teachers in remote areas throughout Semarang residency in order to improve the performance of teachers in order to increase the numbers of teachers in teaching the feasibility of learners in the scope of high school. The sampling technique using judgment sampling area that is based on a zoning study that 12 high schools in Semarang residency which is a remote area that is difficult to reach by technology and the Internet with the total respondents were 120 respondents. Respondents consisted of high school teachers in the remote areas residency of Semarang. Analysis of the study data using quantitative analysis method using AMOS software-based Structural Equation Modeling in reviewing and analyzing the study data. From the results of research and discussion in the previous chapter, it can take several conclusions, among others: there is the influence of perceived usefulness of the use of the Internet, there is the influence of perceived usefulness on teacher performance, no influence ease of use to the use of the Internet, there is the effect of ease of use on teacher performance , there is the influence of self-efficacy of the use of the internet, there is the influence of self-efficacy on teacher performance, there is the effect of internet use on teacher performance and interest in the use of technology related to the way the institution to plan and organize internet.

As a result, many sale transactions failed due to inadequate stock. The research aimed at designing inventory system for Cahaya Baru Shop to notify the owner on stock purchasing date. Comics and CD rental system on comics and CD rental New Chinmi considered not effective for recording loan data and returns the data and its daily transaction reports are still done manually, which is recorded using the books and papers so that the system is not efficient in saving time, effort and materials. This study aims to determine the current system, making system design and implementation to determine the design of the information system is built. The purpose of this research is to build information systems comics and CD rental desktop based on comics and CD rental New Chinmi. The method used is the method of approach to the structure in which data collection techniques used were observation and interview. Analysis and design tools used are flow map, flow diagram and context diagram, while the software used is VB. Net 2005 and SQL 2005. Results of research on comics and CD rental New Chinmi can be concluded that with the construction of comics and CD rental system can assist officers in managing the data members, and comic data CD, borrowing, repayment and can reduce errors in reporting.

Sistem kearsipan merupakan salah satu faktor pendukung kelancaran kerja pegawai, karena, dengan sistem kearsipan yang baik akan mempermudah para pegawai dalam mendapatkan informasi dari arsip secara tertib dan lancar, sehingga efisiensi kerja pegawai dapat tercapai. Masalah yang dikaji dalam penelitian ini adalah mengenai rendahnya efisiensi kerja pegawai pada tiap kesekretariatan di RSUP Dr. Kariadi, ketika ada proses pengumpulan dokumen kenaikan pangkat. Fenomena seperti ini akan menghambat penyelesaian pekerjaan dan pencapaian tujuan. Salah satu upaya untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut yaitu dengan pelaksanaan sistem kearsipan yang efektif. Unit populasi dalam penelitian ini yaitu bagian kesekretariatan anestesi RSUP dr.Kariadi Semarang yang pada saat ini belum menggunakan sistem kearsipan dalam penyimpanan dokumen. Dokumen tersebut masih di arsipkan di sebuah lemari dengan menggunakan map yang tentu dengan semakin banyaknya jumlah dokumen yang masuk, penyimpanan tersebut dirasa tidak efisien, karena menyimpan di lemari mempunyai kapasitas yang kurang. Berdasarkan permasalahan tersebut sangat diperlukan sebuah sistem yang dapat menampung arsip-arsip tersebut dan dapat dengan mudah dalam pencarian, perawatan serta memberi informasi. The target population were 25 Public Health students taking English class. A writing test was conducted to asses the students coherence, grammar, and sentence structure. This descriptive qualitative study is to discover (1) students’ awareness of applying transition signals devices to connect ideas (conjunction words, substitution, reference and ellipsis to create coherence. (2) students’ awareness in grammar and sentence structure. The result revealed that students found no problems using connective devices in their sentences. The objective of this descriptive study was to analyze students' grammatical errors in writing assignments, in this case writing a cover letter for second-semester Computer Science students at University of Semarang. The target population included 21 Computer Science students enrolled in a Business English class chosen randomly from a pool of 50 participants. They were asked to write an application letter in English. Then, using the surface approach taxonomy, the researcher examined the students' writing for the following errors: 1. Omission Errors; 2. Addition Errors; 3. Misinformation Errors; and 4. Misordering Errors. Proses dokumentasi data secara fisik merupakan proses dokumentasi manual. Proses dokumentasi ini sangat menyita waktu terutama bila dokumentasi sudah terlalu banyak dan kita membutuhkan salah satu atau beberapa dokumen tersebut, maka waktu yang dibutuhkan untuk proses pencarian akan lama. Kendala lain yang sering dihadapi yaitu documen tidak lengkap, document rusak atau tidak terbaca. Memerlukan ruangan atau tempat dan perawatan khusus untuk menyimpan dokumen - dokumen tersebut. Laporan SIPKD dan Pengajuan Jabatan Fungsi Akademik yang mengharuskan setiap dosen memberikan laporan bukti fisik yang sudah di scan dalam bentuk digital, sehingga dosen harus meluangkan waktu untuk melakukan proses tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang dan membangun suatu aplikasi e-file untuk membantu proses pengumpulan data dosen baik secara individu maupun lembaga melalui Biro Adminisstrasi Akademik pada perguruan tinggi. Mengetahui letak penyimpanan arsip data dokumen fisik secara cepat. Mendokumentasikan data dokumen fisik yang ada ke dalam bentuk file untuk setiap dosennya. Menghasilkan laporan kelengkapan dokumen sebagai penunjang persiapan proses pelaporan di SIPKD maupun Pengajuan Jabatan Fungsi Akademik. Penelitian ini akan dikerjakan dengan menggunakan metode rekayasa sistem berbasis komputer berdasarkan prinsi-prinsip rekayasa perangkat lunak (Software Engineering) melalui tahapan pengembangan berdasarkan daur hidup (System Development Life Cycle = SDLC). SDLC terdiri dari Analysis, Design, Implementation, Testing, dan Evaluation. Tahapan-tahapan ini dapat dilakukan secara overlap atau bersiklus. Hasil yang diharapkan dari penelitian ini adalah berupa sebuah aplikasi e-file yang dapat membantu mengatasi proses dokumentasi pada tingkat lembaga perguruan tinggi sehingga dokumen dalam bentuk file dapat dengan mudah ditemukan dan dengan mudah pula melihat status dokumen tiap dosen sudah lengkap atau belum. Dengan system ini juga akan dengan mudah menemukan letak dokumen fisik tersebut tersimpan.

Reading is one of many ways to understand science. The interest in reading is an inner encouragement to read, however reading interest does not come naturally instead it must be driven. The research is aimed at oxploring whether there is a correlation between reading interest and learning achievements ( test scores of Indonesian Language ) of Students of PL Don Bosko Semarang. The SPSS test result on the correlation between reading interest and scores of Indonesian Language tests showed sig score 0.012 < 0.05, therefore H0 is refuted. In the English as a Foreign Language pedagogy environment, how to increase speaking competence and confidence for undergraduate students tends to be an important question. This concern led to a qualitative research. The findings indicated that confidence and mastery of gramar andvocabulary, the teacher’s roles as prompter and feedback provider, and speaking activities such as information gap and role play were the key aspects that encourage students to communicate in English class better.

However, currently, the number of validated tools to assess the satisfaction of the BPN is very low, hindering informed decision-making strategies at the educational level. The aim of this study was to develop and validate the Basic Psychological Needs in the Classroom Scale (BPN-CS) instrument, adapting existing instruments and putting the new tool to the test. The processing of foreign languages is suggested to be governed by certain levels of emotional distance. In this study we investigated whether reading emotionally charged sentences in a foreign language resulted in a reduction of the level of two indices of autonomic reactivity of the sympathetic nervous system: the pupil size and the electrodermal activity. We conducted two experiments with native Spanish speakers with high English proficiency. In Experiment 1, one group of participants completed an overt reading task, and in Experiment 2 a different group completed a covert reading task. In the two experiments materials included sentences presented either in participants? native or foreign language. The results showed an asymmetry in the emotional resonance elicited by the sentences in native and foreign-language contexts which was mainly evident in the overt reading task. This suggests a different pattern of emotional reactivity in bilinguals, depending on whether the task involves active language production or silent reading, suggesting that producing emotionally charged content involves deeper emotional processing than simply comprehending. This study shows that the foreign language effects are pervasive enough to affect automatic responses associated with emotional processing, but they may be reduced when emotional resonance is not enhanced by production

The current study focuses on how different scales with varying demands can affect our subjective assessments. We carried out 2 experiments in which we asked participants to rate how happy or sad morphed images of faces looked. The two extremes were the original happy and original sad faces with 4 morphs in between. We manipulated language of the task—namely, half of the participants carried it out in their native language, Spanish, and the other half in their foreign language, English—and type of scale. Within type of scale, we compared verbal and brightness scales. We found that, while language did not have an effect on the assessment, type of scale did. The brightness scale led to overall higher ratings, i.e., assessing all faces as somewhat happier. This provides a limitation on the foreign language effect, as well as evidence for the influence of the cognitive demands of a scale on emotionality assessments.

In addition, bilinguals that have languages that are orthotactically different could be more used to dissimilar orthotactic patterns. The current study examines how bilinguals with languages that are orthotactically similar and dissimilar and monolinguals learn novel words that violate or respect the orthotactic legality of the languages they know and how this learning may be affected by the similarity between the bilinguals’ two languages. In Experiment 1, three groups of children were tested: monolinguals, Spanish-Basque bilinguals (dissimilar orthotactic languages), and Spanish-Catalan bilinguals (similar orthotactic languages). The present research aims to assess literacy acquisition in children becoming bilingual via second language immersion in school. We adopt a cognitive components approach, assessing text-level reading comprehension, a complex literacy skill, as well as underlying cognitive and linguistic components in 144 children aged 7 to 14 (72 immersion bilinguals, 72 controls). Using principal component analysis, a nuanced pattern of results was observed: although emergent bilinguals lag behind their monolingual counterparts on measures of linguistic processing, they showed enhanced performance on a memory and reasoning component. For reading comprehension, no between-group differences were evident, suggesting that selective benefits compensate costs at the level of underlying cognitive components. In this article, we explore the transposed-letter priming effect (e.g., jugde–JUDGE vs. jupte–JUDGE), a phenomenon that taps into some key issues on how the brain encodes letter positions and has favoured the creation of new input coding schemes. However, almost all the empirical evidence from transposed-letter priming experiments comes from nonword primes (e.g., jugde–JUDGE). Indeed, previous evidence when using word–word pairs (e.g., causal–CASUAL) is not conclusive. Here, we conducted five masked priming lexical decision experiments that examined the relationship between pairs of real words that differed only in the transposition of two of their letters (e.g., CASUAL vs. CAUSAL). Results showed that, unlike transposed-letter nonwords, transposed-letter words do not seem to affect the identification time of their transposed-letter mates.
