Tesi di laurea triennale in filosofia in cui, attraverso la lettura dei testi di A. Kojève, si cerca di rendere chiavi di lettura perfettamente idonee alla comprensione del mondo in cui viviamo quei concetti-cardine del pensiero del russo-francese quali la fine della storia e la fine della politica.

Il est surprenant de constater à quel point la pensée de Kojève demeure encore très peu étudiée à présent, au-delà de certains moments de son expérience philosophique1. Cela contraste avec l’influence qu’il a exercé sur la philosophie contemporaine, non seulement francophone2, et avec l’importance de son rôle politique dans l’intégration européenne et dans le développement d’un système d’accords commerciaux internationaux, qu’il a contribué à façonner en tant que haut fonctionnaire de l’administration française, ce qui est désormais largement documenté3. Le nom de Kojève reste lié aux séminaires qu’il a tenu à l’Ecole Pratique sur Hegel, dans les années trente, et à la thèse de la fin de l’histoire4.

La palabra autoridad proviene del latín auctoritas, derivado del verbo augere que significa aumentar, hacer crecer, magnificar. Este origen nos remite a la singularidad de la autoridad que implica acatamiento u obediencia pero no sustentada en la coacción ni en la persuasión (Kòjeve, 2004), sino en un reconocimiento legítimo por parte del que obedece en relación con el que manda. Por este motivo, la autoridad
aunque se encuentre íntimamente vinculada con el poder, no debe ser meramente subsumida en este fenómeno (Arendt, 1996). Si quien detenta autoridad debe recurrir a la coacción o a la persuasión para realizar su voluntad, entonces en realidad resulta que hay un déficit de autoridad. Para los romanos, quien tiene autoridad es aquel que logra
aumentar, acrecentar o magnificar algo, en el sentido de hacer posible que algo establecido se expanda. La autoridad se vincula con la magnificencia de un legado originario que es susceptible de ser aumentado. Para clarificar este sentido, veamos otro vocablo también derivado del verbo augere, que es auctor, que no se identifica con
quien crea o inventa algo (artifex), sino más bien con quien logra que una obra prospere, se magnifique y llegue a constituir de algún modo un legado. De manera análoga, los padres y los educadores detentan autoridad en la medida en que procuran el buen crecimiento y desarrollo intelectual de los niños. En estos casos, la fuente de la autoridad reside en el reconocimiento de una de las partes implicadas, en base a la
potencialidad de crecimiento y magnificencia que esa relación ofrece. Por eso mismo, si bien tanto la presencia de autoridad como de poder se manifiestan en el acatamiento, no debe confundirse la autoridad sustentada en el reconocimiento, con el poder ya sea que se funde éste en la persuasión o en la coacción. Volveremos sobre esta cuestión en relación con el tratamiento de la autoridad en el pensamiento político moderno, en función de reconsiderar la noción de autoridad política.

It is not clear what the intellectual history of the last 200 years would have looked like without the philosophy of G.W.F. Hegel, but it is clear that it would have looked different. His vast intellectual system was taken up by thinkers from left to right, and from very different philosophical schools. This volume brings together accessible, concise essays from leading scholars that present important currents of Hegelian thought in different European countries, including pre-revolutionary Russia, from the 19th to the 21st century. It unites a range of very different forms of (Non-Marxian) Hegelianisms and Anti-Hegelianisms, showing similarities as well as differences. Embedding them in their cultural and intellectual contexts, it demonstrates the various encounters between philosophy, politics and personal lives that Hegel's philosophy inspired.

In the short essay entitled La notion de l’autorité, written by Kojève in 1942, besides the phenomenological description, the philosopher also tries to outline the metaphysical dimension of Authority. Kojève identifies this dimension with Time. He locates a specific connection between each of the four “pure” types of Authority and each temporal dimension: Present, Past, Future and Eternity. The last one in particular is a dimension that, at the end of History, will be generated after the depletion of all the human possibilities of Fight and Work and culminate in a non-political and absolutely legal reality: an universal and homogeneous State (or Empire).
In this paper, I would to show that the Kojèvian theory of Authority is founded on the metaphysical conception of Concept and Time, that the philosopher formulated on his famous interpretation of the Hegel’s Phenomenology of Spirit. Here, Kojève resumed his metaphysical thesis in this equation: C=T, so Concept is Time. Moreover, it could become clear as Authority’s theory – in the perspective of that equation – is oriented towards the post-historical and legal reality that will realize the idea of Justice owning to the eternal Authority of Judge.

Atelier de philosophie du droit Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne (Nosophi-Phico) C. Cimmarusti, Le désir anthropogène de reconnaissance comme la source de l'idée de justice. Une réflexion critique à partir de Kojève. Mon intervention se propose de répondre à cette question: comment attribuer une valeur juridique à la théorie de la reconnaissance? Ma réponse se développe à partir d'une thèse énoncée par Kojève dans l'Esquisse d'une phénoménologie du droit1. Selon le philosophe russe, l'acte anthropogène de la lutte pour la reconnaissance n'est pas seulement un acte de consentement tout court, mais aussi un acte de consentement mutuel qui devient la racine ultime du contrat dans le sens juridique du terme. En s'agissant d'un " consentement mutuel " la question de l'intersubjectivité résulte foncière. Elle implique, cependant et au même temps, une dimension conflictuelle enracinée dans la lutte pour la reconnaissance et la possibilité de l'injustice et de la violence. En mettant en question cette aporie dans l'espace dialogique, par une confrontation avec les thèses principales à l'égard de ce sujet, je voudrais esquisser une tentative de réponse à partir de Kojève en proposant une lecture qui, de l'anthropologie, mène à la phénoménologie du droit. Comme Kojève l'écrit: " Il est impossible d'étudier la réalité humaine sans se heurter tôt ou tard au phénomène du Droit " 2. Cette affirmation assume qu'il y ait une implication entre anthropologie et phénoménologie du droit et présente un élément de la pensée de Kojève encore peu connu.

L'article d'Itzhak Benyamini se propose de réexaminer l'essence de l'homme religieux, tel qu'il est représenté par exemple par Abraham. Selon lui, le judaïsme historique n'était pas nécessairement basé sur une approche pieuse ou craintive de Dieu mais sur une forme de foi douce, telle que la vit celui que l'auteur conçoit comme "le Juif du quotidien" ou "le Juif traditionaliste".
A l'opposé, se trouve la position radicale/élitiste, représentée par Yeshayahu Leibowitz, selon laquelle le Juif doit observer les préceptes de la Torah sans relation avec une récompense ou une rétribution d'aucune sorte. Leibowitz affirme que Dieu est une entité spécifique indépendante de l'homme et du monde et qu'il est tout entier opposition à ce monde. Raison pour laquelle il critique l'avis de Hegel, dont la position dialectique signifie en apparence que sans le monde il n'y a pas de Dieu.
Contrairement à cette conception, l'article de Benyamini propose de lire les premiers versets de la Bible en considérant qu'au commencement, seul existait l'esprit de Dieu. Dieu s'autocréera en se différenciant des autres éléments. Il annulera la confusion régnant entre lui et le reste et se posera également comme celui qui en assume la responsabilité.

Considered one of the greatest interpreters of the Hegelian lesson, Kojève depicts the German philosopher as the last great master of modernity. Hegel identified the laws of development of the Spirit according to the scheme of the Master-Slave dialectic, rediscovering in the event of the French Revolution and in the advent of the Napoleonic State the conclusion of the era in which the desire for recognition performs with violence, strength and blood, to leave space for a (post-historical) era dominated by mutual integration and respect. Kojève's Hegel is that of human finitude, which identifies not already the starting point, but the arrival time (and both together).
The Hegelian system, in the Kojevian vision "existentially deserves to be completely" updated (overturned). The subject as a historical and finite being, which was the starting point of this "system", becomes a point of arrival in the interpretation offered by the Russian thinker. The dialectic of the Slave and of the Master, who saw in Hegel his moment of dynamic reconciliation between universal and in the transcendence of historical "becoming", takes shape, in the Kojevian vision, like an incurable rupture. It triggers the historical process, snatching the human being from its natural biological nature, and inserts the "denying" elements of the Fight and the Work, which make of him the Man.

This thesis examines the Master-Slave Dialectic, gives an exegesis of and interprets the Dialectic and relevant sections therein. I first argue that what occurs in the Master-Slave Dialectic is a paradigmatic example of Hegel's view of the dialectical shifts, and that these dialectical shifts can be read as changes in identity. I then examine critiques of Hegel's views on identity and respond through the lenses of terror of death, anxiety, and work.

Célèbre traducteur et commentateur de Hegel, historien de la philosophie contemporaine, passeur de textes et de concepts, professeur et directeur de travaux universitaires, Jean Hyppolite (1907-1968) fut véritablement un « protecteur de la nouveauté » et, partant, une figure essentielle au développement de la philosophie française du XXe siècle.

A study of the original philosophical course of the middle of the 20th century, which significantly influenced modern discussions about the status of philosophical statements, about the subject and method of philosophy, and about the fate of the Hegelian heritage. It presents a comprehensive analysis, made on a unified philosophical basis, which covers the work of all four key representatives of that trend - J. Wahl, A. Koyre, A. Kojeve and J. Hyppolite. The author showed the development of the Hegelian studies and Hegelianism in France, revealed the historical context of the French neo-Hegelianism emergence, pointed to the specifics and philosophical value of that philosophical movement in general and each of its representatives in particular.

This text analyses the difference between the Kojèvian and the Zizekian readings of Hegel from the perspective of the logic of incarnation which organizes the Hegelian Christology. Through a critique of Kojève's equation of ontological and anthropological negativities - in the concept of death - we attempt to show how Zizek's return to Hegel in fact reveals that the properly human problematic is not that of finitude, but rather than of an inhuman immortality.

精神分析家ジャック・ラカンは、第二次世界大戦後のフランスにおいて精神分析をその基礎から問い直すなかで、言語学、哲学、文学等さまざまな学問分野を参照しつつ新たな理論を提唱し、20世紀の人文思想に広い範囲で影響を与えました。精神分析が「こころ」を対象とし、これを「ことば」によって治療しようとする営みである限りにおいて、その問い直しのためには「こころ」と「ことば」のそれぞれを、あるいはそれら相互の関係を、従来とは異なった仕方で捉えるということが必要となっていました。

二回を予定している講演のうち初回の今回は、彼による「こころ」の再規定が、どのように「人間」を捉える捉え方に変更を迫ったかという点を考えてみたいと思います。ラカンは必ずしも「人間」を主題的に論じる思想家ではありません。彼の議論の中では「人間」よりもむしろ「主体」が問題にされるわけですが、こうした議論の焦点の移動を引き起こすに至った彼の思想形成の過程を見てゆくと、そこにはある一定の仕方で捉えられていた「人間」を根底から問い直すという契機があり、それが後期に現れる特異な「人間」概念──「人間（l'homme）」ならぬ「ニンゲン（LOM）」──にまで反響しているように思われます。

本セミナーでは、このうちラカンの思想形成の初期から中期、「こころ」の科学の認識論的基礎づけから「他者の欲望の欲望」の問題に、さらには「欲望の弁証法」に至る展開についての報告を糸口としつつ、彼の思想を出発点とした「人間」の多様なあり方の理論的包摂の可能性について考察します。

Partendo dalle lezioni sulla Fenomenologia dello Spirito di Kojève, l'articolo vuole presentare una possibile via di uscita all'impasse esistenziale che il rapporto di riconoscimento tra il Servo e il Signore sembra porre inevitabilmente in essere. Per questo vengono fatte interagire voci epigonali e talvolta antitetiche che però, nel loro incrociarsi, permettono di evidenziare come l'amore, pensato come relazione che fonde due individui senza distruggerne uno, mantenga il valore di entrambi i soggetti e per questo risulti essere una delle possibili forme di riconoscimento compiuto.

The article aims at presenting a form of recognition able to escape the problem raised by Hegel's theory of recognition as presented by Kojève in his lectures on the Phenomenology of the Spirit. Many different French authors, with different and often opposed perspectives, are referred to in order to argue that love can instantiate a kind of mutual recognition that doesn't present the struggle characterizing the Mas-ter/Slave relationship.

This paper will address René Girard's critique of the "humanization of nothingness" in modern Western philosophy. I will first explain how the "de-sire for death" is related to a phenomenon that Girard refers to as "obstacle addiction ." Second, I will point out how mankind's desire for death and illusory will to self-divinization gradually tend to converge within the history of modern Western humanism. In particular, I will show how this convergence between self-destruction and self-divinization gradually takes shape through the evolution of the concept of "the negative" from Hegel to Kojève, Sartre and Camus. Finally, we shall come to see that in Girard's view "the negative" has tended to become an ever-preoccupying and unacknowledged symptom of mankind's addiction to "model/obstacles" of desire.

Más de una vez, en un escrito o en un seminario, Lacan da indicaciones sobre cómo leer. Cómo leer un texto filosófico, un pieza de teatro, o una novela. En el seminario VIII, recorriendo El banquete de Platón, se refiere incluso a “nuestro método de comentario”, distinguiéndolo del académico. Este artículo busca desarrollar precisamente este punto, mostrando qué puede aportar el psicoanálisis, y en particular la obra de Lacan, al problema general de la lectura, de los diferentes modos de leer y comentar un texto, al momento de ensayar el acto de la transmisión. Para ello se indaga,
previamente, en las influencias filosóficas que pudo tener Lacan en la elaboración de su arte de la lectura: Leo Strauss y Alexandre Kojève.

This paper aims to elaborate on some of the possible connections between Hegel and Lacan. Subjectivity, negativity and desire will be the guiding notions of this endeavor, as they are fundamentally intertwined in both thinkers. A comparative analysis of their respective articulations will enrich our understanding thereof, while warding off misunderstandings of their respective positions.
The paper will start with an interpretation of the mirror stage, the master-slave dialectic and the distinctiveness of human desire, which will prepare the subsequent Lacanian reading of three basic Hegelian concepts: determinate negation, mediation and experience. Here the main point of reference will be Slavoj Žižek’s defence of “Hegel’s madness” against Robert Brandom’s “renormalizing” interpretation. The paper ends with an outline of what Hegel could mean by “grasping substance equally as subject”.

Il contributo intende ripensare l'intreccio di carenza ed eccedenza proprio del desiderio all'interno di una cornice antropologico-filosofica. Tale ripensamento prende le mosse dalla tematizzazione dell’interesse sempre maggiore che va assumendo il desiderio come questione filosofica oltre che più ampiamente sociale (§ 1), per concentrarsi in seguito sulla concezione hegeliana del bisogno animale e di quello umano (§ 2); tale concezione viene conservata/superata prima esplicitando i tratti peculiari della natura dell’animale umano (§ 3) e poi mettendoli direttamente in rapporto con la dialettica bisogno-desiderio (§ 4); in conclusione, si espliciterà più nettamente la dimensione insieme generica e relazionale del desiderare umano, culminando nella tematizzazione dell’esigenza di commisurare (§ 5).
