The study examines the effect of ATM on the performance of deposit money banks in Nigeria for the period of 7 years from 2012 to 2018. The study adopted ex-post research design. The population of the study is all the deposit money banks in Nigeria. The study collected data from the Central Bank of Nigeria statistical bulletin. The study adopted pre-test analysis of correlation and unit root test using Augmented Dickey-Fuller (ADF) test. After analysizing the unit root test, regression was used. The study found that there was a positive and insignificant effect of ATM on performance of deposit money banks in Nigeria. Other findings were that volume of transaction of ATM has positive and insignificant effect on the return on asset of deposit money banks in Nigeria while value of transaction of ATM also has positive and insignificant effect on return on asset of deposit money banks in Nigeria. The study recommended that ATM machines should be re-strategies by deposit money banks in Nigeria and they should careful increase the volume of transaction by ensuring that network is properly maintain. They should use ATM network that is very good to satisfy customers during weekends. They should provide more ATM and encourage customers to use ATM and try to reduce the problem of cash jam and lack of cash dispense.

With the flagship success of M-Pesa, mobile devices have become an important tool to facilitate the financial inclusion of the previously unbanked population in developing countries. Following the success of M-Pesa in Kenya in 2007, mobile money technologies became widespread across Africa. Beginning in 2009, Ghana experienced exceptional adoption of Mobile Money technology. Many studies have examined the influence of mobile money on financial inclusion from a variety of perspectives, and many have concluded that mobile money is a game-changer in this regard. The Mobile Money concept has evolved based on introducing the other value-added services such as microloans, savings, and insurance portfolios. The researcher used a questionnaire and a face-to-face interview to obtain qualitative data for this study. Together with other research, the statistics revealed that Mobile Money transactions in Ghana had more than tripled since it became the most popular payment method. Over the last year, the platform as a service has created over 140,000 jobs and has shown to be the safest channel. It has several advantages, including lowering the cost of printing and keeping cash on hand, as well as decreasing fraud because the technology underlying it gives appropriate audit trails to prevent fraud and boost economic growth.

Salah satu inovasi yang dapat dilakukan oleh perbankan adalah memberikan layanan ATM. Namun fungsionalitas dan efektifitas ATM tersebut belum memenuhi kebutuhan nasabah dikarenakan pengambilan keputusan penentuan lokasi ATM belum menggunakan SPK sehingga banyak kriteria yang terlupakan dalam penentuan lokasi ATM terbaik. Penempatan lokasi ATM yang tepat, selain dapat mengurangi kemungkinan terjadinya vandalisme dan card skimming, juga mampu menjadi kesempatan bank untuk berinovasi dalam persaingan perbankan global melalui pengembangan teknologi dan service ATM, penerapan produk dan layanan perbankan terbaru, peningkatan ekspansi pasar secara global dan mampu meningkatkan kerjasama antar negara, yang akan berdampak positif terhadap laba yang akan diperoleh pihak bank. Metode AHP yang merupakan sebuah hierarki fungsional dengan input utamanya adalah persepsi manusia sedangkan metode WASPAS metode yang dapat mengurangi kesalahan-kesalahan atau mengoptimalkan dalam penaksiran untuk pemililahan nilai tertinggi dan terendah. AHP digunakan untuk memberikan pembobotan pada masing-masing kriteria dan WASPAS untuk melakukan perangkingan dari masing-masing alternatif. Terdapat 4 kriteria pada pembobotan dan 76 data alternatif. Pengujian dilakukan dengan membandingkan hasil delpoyment ATM dengan hasil perhitungan sistem. Dari 76 data alternatif yang diujikan, terdapat 38 lokasi deployment ATM. Dari hasil pengujian yang ditampilkan dalam confusion matrix, didapatkan 35 data True Positive, 35 True Negative, 3 False Negative dan 3 False Positive memiliki akurasi 92,11%. Untuk penelitian selanjutnya diharapkan dapat menambahkan kriteria, melakukan uji uji validitas, uji reabilitas dan uji signifikansi terhadap kriteria, memperluas daerah penelitian dan mencoba metode berbeda untuk meningkatkan akurasi, kecepatan dan efektivitas. PENDAHULUAN Perbankan merupakan urat nadi perekonomian di seluruh negara,banyak roda-roda perekonomian terutama di gerakkan oleh perbankan baik secara langsung maupun tidak langsung. Meningkatnya persaingan perbankan dewasa ini, semakin meningkat terutama dalam hal penyediaan inovasi produk serta peningkatan kualitas transaksi dan pelayanan. Bank harus mencari cara untuk dapat bersaing dan juga memberikan pelayanan perbankan prima kepada nasabah, salah satunya dengan Automated Teller Machine (ATM). Penempatan ATM biasanya ditempat keramaian, unit bank dan wilayah institusi yang bekerjasama dengan pihak bank, dan vandalisme dan skimming menjadi permasalahan pelik yang dihadapi oleh pengelola ATM. Pada tahun 2015, Direktorat Tindak Pidana Ekonomi dan Khusus Bareskrim POLRI sudah mencatat terdapat 1.549 kasus, yang membuat sepertiga kasus skimming di dunia terjadi di Indonesia, menyebabkan keamanan transaksi menggunakan ATM merupakan prioritas dari pelayanan perbankan[1]. Kasus skimming ATM ini bukan hanya terjadi di Bali tapi yang banyak mengungkap kasus ini itu ada di wilayah Bali, dan penangkapan telah dilakukan terhadap WNA asal Bulgaria dengan inisial KS yang terlibat kasus skimming di sebuah ATM Jalan Kunti Seminyak, Kuta, Badung[2]. Penempatan lokasi ATM yang tepat, selain dapat mengurangi kemungkinan terjadinya vandalisme dan card skimming, juga mampu menjadi kesempatan bank untuk berinovasi dalam persaingan perbankan global melalui pengembangan teknologi dan service ATM, penerapan produk dan layanan perbankan terbaru, peningkatan ekspansi pasar secara global dan mampu meningkatkan kerjasama antar negara, yang akan berdampak positif terhadap laba yang akan diperoleh pihak bank, dan perancangan sistem pendukung keputusan (SPK) merupakan salah satu solusi yang dapat ditawarkan untuk optimalisasi penempatan ATM. The purpose of this paper is to examine how we can achieve a cashless society in Nigeria especially given her infrastructure deficits. This study examines the cashless economic system so as to assess its feasibility in Nigeria with regards to timeless, preparedness and adequacy against the backdrop of our level of development both technologically and educationally. Nigeria has continued to evolve in different realms. The economy is being reformed, the institutions are being reshaped and laws are being reexamined so as to reposition the nation to take its rightful position in the international community. As a way of fasttracking the Nigerian economy so as to be among the first 20 world economies come 2020, Nigeria proposed 2012 for the adoption of the cashless economy system starting with Lagos State but could not realized its objective. The study used structured questionnaire as a means of data collection and the collected data were analyzed using simple percentage procedure. The results indicate that: majority of Nigerians are already aware of the policy and majority agree that the policy will help fight against corruption/money laundering and reduce the risk of carrying cash and can also foster economic growth. Major problems envisaged that can hinder the implementation of the policy are: cyber fraud, limited point of sales and numeracy illiteracy. Based on the findings some recommendations made are: the government should adopt a different strategy to educate the non-literate Nigerians about the cashless economy; and the Federal Government of Nigerian should establish a Cybercrime law.

The main subject of the research study reported here is the use of Automated Teller Machines (ATMs) in Egypt. The study is part of a wider investigation into technical and social aspects of ATM location in Egypt. The study uses a questionnaire to investigate:  who uses ATMs and ATM cards  frequency, timing and place of use  user perceptions of ATM services and features  user priorities for ATM services and features. Data was collected in three Egyptian cities and analyzed using SPSS. Some interesting or unexpected features of ATM usage in Egypt were discovered.

This research was undertaken to examine the overall customer satisfaction with service quality delivered by Nigerian Banks through the use of ATM and to also ascertain whether some service quality factors exert a strong influence on the level of customer satisfaction;
The concept of service quality has become eminent in every business discourse; a high service quality serves as an incentive for customers to come back due to satisfaction. To consistently maintain a high level of customer service, service firms must recognize that every aspect of their business has an impact on the customer.
In this study, two types of data were collected; Primary Data and Secondary Data. This was necessary since it helped to add to the findings of the researcher. A simple random sampling and purposive sampling method were used. This ensured that every member of the population had an equal chance of being part of the sample. The sample size chosen was 200 bank customers.
It was revealed in the survey that customers think that the banks need to improve on their quality of ATM services and a high number of the customers are willing to switch banks for the sole reason of an ATM that offers the highest service quality.
The study also revealed some of the problems associated with the services provided by the ATM that the customers dislike and want to be adjusted, they are ATM cash out, the limit placed on daily withdrawal, Transaction error, slow response to dispute resolutions, Network problems, Long queues, Security issues and Card retraction.

A single response optimization model based on Response Surface Methodology was employed to determine the best combination of the functional machine parameters such blade type, basket orientation and speed of a developed automated grain drinks processing machine to attain the maximum drink output. The automated grain drinks processing machine blend soaked grains, mixed the slurry, extract the aqueous liquid and expel the paste from the machine all in single unit. The experiment was based on central composite rotatable design (CCRD). The experimental result showed that the developed regression model could describe the performance indicators within the experimental range of the factors been investigated. Blade type and speed of rotation were found to be significant (p≤ 0.05), while basket orientation was insignificant. Numerical optimization carried out produced optimum values of 3-blade assembly, basket orientation of 33.44 o and speed of 1385 r.p.m and the blending efficiency was 8.47 lires from 400g of soya beans.

The present study investigates the proficiency levels of functionally illiterate persons regarding a number of cognitive skills (language processing skills (reading, writing, listening), visual organizational and visual memory skills, mental spatial orientation, speed of cognitive processing, vigilance, divided attention and perceived self-efficacy), which are necessary when using ICT. The results provide insight into how specific (cognitive) limitations can potentially be relieved by specific user interface elements. The findings will serve as guidelines for the design of a new user interface for an Automated Teller Machine (ATM), which is better adapted to the abilities of illiterates.

In this paper a new body motion-based Human Behaviour Analysing (HBA) approach is proposed for the sake of events classification. Here, the interesting events are as normal and abnormal behaviours in a Automated Teller Machine (ATM) scenario. The concept of Laban Movement Analysis (LMA), which is a known human movement analysing system, is used in order to define and extract sufficient features. A two-phase probabilistic approach have been applied to model the system’s state. Firstly, a Bayesian network is used to estimate LMA-based human movement parameters. Then the sequence of the obtained LMA parameters are used as the inputs of the second phase. As the second phase, the Hidden Markov Model (HMM), which is a well-known approach to deal with the time-sequential data, is used regarding the context of the ATM scenario. The achieved results prove the eligibility and efficiency of the proposed method for the surveillance applications.

The introduction of the cashless policy in March 2012 aimed to drive development and advance payment systems in Nigeria. In addition, the policy aimed to reduce costs related to banking and facilitate the progression of monetary policy decisions and economic growth. To date, the extant literature has not directly evaluated the effectiveness of the system but only attempts to evaluate the benefits and adverse effects of the cashless policy in Nigeria. This study evaluates the impact of the cashless arrangement in Nigeria on different macroeconomic variables which are unemployment rate, GDP, FDI, corruption and money supply. The study uses data immediately before and post the introduction of the cashless policy in 2012. The analysis shows that the cashless policy has largely been valuable to Nigeria, considering the positive effects on GDP, unemployment rate and money supply.

Metode AHP yang merupakan sebuah hierarki fungsional dengan input utamanya adalah persepsi manusia sedangkan metode SAW dengan konsep dasar mencari penjumlahan terbobot dari rating kinerja pada setiap alternatif pada semua atribut. AHP digunakan untuk memberikan pembobotan pada masing-masing kriteria dan SAW untuk melakukan perangkingan dari masing-masing alternatif. Terdapat 7 kriteria dengan 11 sub kriteria pada pembobotan dan 76 data alternatif. Pengujian dilakukan dengan membandingkan hasil delpoyment ATM dengan hasil perhitungan sistem. Dari 76 data alternatif yang diujikan, terdapat 38 lokasi deployment ATM. Dari hasil pengujian yang ditampilkan dalam confusion matrix, pada kriteria yang tidak teruji signifikansi didapatkan 33 data True Positive, 38 True Negative, 5 False Negative dan 5 False Positive dengan akurasi sebesar 86,84%, dan pada kriteria yang teruji signifikansi didapatkan 35 data True Positive, 35 True Negative, 3 False Negative dan 3 False Positive memiliki akurasi 92,11%. Automated Teller Machine (ATM) is a self-service banking outlet that enables the customers of a financial institution to perform financial transactions, without the need for a human cashier, clerk or bank teller. Its availability, convenience and economic efficiency made it the most patronized E-banking platform. The many imperfections present in the security system of the card/pin based ATMs however made it prone to frequent fraud thereby discouraging many people from banking on its technology. This presentation reviews the various security issues surrounding the ATM as a device and their possible solutions with focus on the use of biometric authentication such as fingerprint and iris in prevention ATM related fraud in Nigeria.

A robust vision system for the counterfeit detection of bank ATM keyboards is presented. The approach is based on the continuous inspection of a keyboard surface by the authenticity verification of coded covert surface features. For the surface coding suitable visual patterns on the keyboard are selected while considering constraints from the visual imperceptibility, robustness and geometrical disturbances to be encountered from the aging effects. The system’s robustness against varying camera-keyboard distances, lighting conditions and dirt-and-scratches effects is investigated. Finally, a demonstrator working in real-time is developed in order to publicly demonstrate the surface authentication process.
