In Egypt, only 27% of the adult female population has a bank account. The large number of unbanked female population is a major obstacle for financial inclusion in Egypt. Women in general suffer from financial exclusion (Arroyo, 2020). Information Systems have great potential
to enable inclusive digital finance, which in turn can help offer cost-effective and accessible financial services and thus reduce inequalities (Cicchiello et al., 2021). Accordingly, this research aims to investigate the key factors that hinder inclusive digital finance for Egyptian single
mothers. The project is funded by British Council, and it involves academics from British and Egyptian universities.
The project commenced with key stakeholder engagement. Contextually nuanced understanding of Egyptian single mothers’ financial needs, access to digital resources and private and public sector policies/practices was obtained through 26 in-depth interviews with Egyptian single mothers, banking professionals, development workers and policy makers. Subsequently, seven of focus group discussions (FDGs) with single mothers were undertaken, and data was triangulated against interview findings. Findings suggest that leadership holds interest in
supporting inclusive digital finance in Egypt. Government officials recognize the importance of digital finance in reducing financial exclusion and inequality. Likewise, bank managers are aware of the business potential. However, the complex socio-cultural dynamics at social and familial levels remain an obstacle in women’s financial empowerment. Single mothers are susceptible to social injustice. It is also understood that women from disadvantaged backgrounds struggle more due to a lack of education, entrepreneurial opportunities, and financial dependencies. Few banking organizations targeted women financial inclusion, yet challenges of outreach remain. Digital finance would leverage these attempts, nonetheless and socio-cultural obstacles are
considered a significant limiting factor.
Interventions were initiated to address the Egyptian single mothers’ challenges. Digitalization of financial services was associated with achieving faster financial inclusion (Vasile et al., 2021). A chat-bot enabled website and a mobile app prototype to promote inclusive digital finance are amongst the impactful outputs of this project. Interviews and FGDs data were used to develop a conceptual framework that identifies the barriers to technology diffusion and resistance toward adoption by individual users. A survey on 1000 Egyptian women is now being conducted to validate our hypotheses.

ABSTRACT: In this article, we will examine whether students are satisfied with and committed to their e-learning experiences using a proposed model. It discusses a variety of variables and their effects on student satisfaction and academic commitment. Second, it examines the relationship between student satisfaction and commitment and each
of the three variables examined, namely the course structure, the flexibility of online tutorials, and the quality of technology. The purpose of this research is to determine whether students are satisfied with and committed to their online learning experiences. Seven faculty members from an Egyptian higher education institution participated in a
semi-structured interview with the researcher. This study analyses qualitative data collected online and via phone calls through interviews. The research is primarily concerned with students' commitment as behavior in e-learning, as well as their satisfaction with specific variables. The study focuses on a single institution of higher learning that
utilizes e-learning technologies. The data analysis was conducted qualitatively rather than quantitatively, which may result in different interpretations of the results, which is considered a contribution. Other Egyptian higher education institutions' key variables require further investigation, with the possibility of expanding the investigation to other countries. Participants in this study will be individuals who are interested in student behavior in the digital age of e-learning and will find this research valuable.

The higher education institutions in developing countries such as Egypt are challenged with the high enrollment student rates, crowded classes, and inability to track the progress of each student individually which increased the demand to find a solution that can redeem those problems. Although the usage of learning analytics is an expanding solution to support different educational challenges from performance tracking to detecting students at risk, learning analytics’ developments concentrated on addressing solutions for developed countries. Accordingly, the discipline still requires a broader and in-depth interpretation of its contextual usage in developing countries, especially Egypt. A research model has been constructed based on literature and tested for its validity and reliability. A questionnaire has been distributed to 148 university students. The study used smart-PLS to interpret and analyze the collected data. The study revealed that organizational culture, data accessibility, trustworthiness, visualization has a positive effect on awareness, while lack of ability has a negative effect on awareness. both infrastructure and awareness have a significant positive effect on learning analytics impact. The research indicates high learning analytics awareness and a high perceived impact on Egyptian higher education. More evidence should be extracted with the collection of more insights from students, faculty members, and decision-makers.

Students’ commitment has been a concern for educational institutions, especially during the pandemic and due to the digital transformation. Accordingly, this research investigates the impact of academic self-efficacy on satisfaction and students’ online commitment. It also examines the moderation role of digital nudging and gender, together with the mediating role of students’ satisfaction in an online learning environment. An online questionnaire was distributed over students enrolled in a private higher education university in Egypt. Collected data were statistically analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling. Digital nudging was not proven to have a significant moderation effect, while gender was found to have a positive moderating effect on both student satisfaction and commitment. Academic self-efficacy had a significant influence on student satisfaction and student commitment. Student satisfaction was also proven to have a positive influence between academic self-efficacy and student commitment.

The present study uses a proposed model to explore satisfaction and commitment of students in an online learning environment. First, it presents the key determinants of student satisfaction and their impact on student commitment. Second, it examines the significance impact of each of the three key determinants namely course structure, online tutorials flexibility and technology quality on both student satisfaction and commitment. A sample of 410 students enrolled in an Egyptian higher education institution pursued an online questionnaire through Survey Monkey. This study used structured equation model approach for data analysis that was gathered online. However, the only determinant namely course structure had insignificant effect on both student satisfaction and student commitment. Specifically, both key determinants namely online tutorial flexibility and technology quality had a significant influence on student satisfaction as well as student commitment. In addition, the mediating role of student satisfaction was tested and had positive influence between the key determinants and student commitment except with course structure. The study highlights the issue of commitment and satisfaction of students in an online learning environment with respect to some determinants. The context was limited to one higher education institution in an online learning environment. Further research is needed to investigate the key determinants in other higher educational institutions in Egypt and could be extended to other countries if possible. This study will be useful for academics and educators interested in online research behavioral issues of students.

Purpose-The objective of this paper is to present a comprehensive review of the literature on learning analytics (LA) stakeholders' expectations to reveal the status of ongoing research in this area and to highlight gaps in research. Design/methodology/approach-Conducting a literature review is a well-known method to establish knowledge and interpret the domain under examination (Snyder, 2019). In this paper, a descriptive approach was used to investigate the different research methods used to tackle LA stakeholders' expectations, which depends on summarising the studies' content and minimising the reviewer's interpretation. Findings-Most of the studies have used interviews and focus groups without testing isolated variables. Moreover, it was concluded that LA awareness and perception are affected by a lack of resources, technical skills, trustworthiness, data availability, accessibility, organisational culture, integration and lack of technology. 10;This paper sheds light on research on LA stakeholders' expectations and highlights the need for investigating developing countries' context in order to test the perception and impact of LA. The study has focussed mainly on papers published in journals, which may have led to missing some previous research papers. Originality/value-Literature review studies provide an overview of the existing LA literature from general focus to analytical methods. As it is a broad topic, this paper focuses on reviewing studies about stakeholders, which will give a fuller understanding of how their expectations are being discussed beyond the currently assumed benefits of LA.

Although IOT seems to be the upcoming trend, it is still in its infancy; especially in the banking industry. There is a clear gap in literature, as only few studies identify factors affecting readiness to IOT applications in banks in general, and almost negligible investigations on mediating and moderating factors. Accordingly, this research aims to investigate the main factors that affect employees' readiness to IOT applications, while highlighting the mediating and moderating factors in the Egyptian banking sector. The importance of Egypt stems from its high population and steady steps taken towards technology adoption. 479 valid questionnaires were distributed over HR employees in banks. Data collected was statistically analysed using Regression and SEM. Results showed a significant impact of 'Security', 'Networking', 'Software Development' and 'Regulations' on 'readiness to IOT applications. Thus, the readiness acceptance level is high'Security' and 'User Intention' were proven to mediate the relationship between research variables and readiness to IOT applications, and only a partial moderation role was proven for 'Efficiency'. The study contributes to increasing literature on IOT applications in general, and fills a gap on the Egyptian banking context in particular. Finally, it provides decision makers at banks with useful guidelines on how to optimally promote IOT applications among employees.

The accessibility of bank websites has been a great challenge for people with visual disabilities, especially in developing countries. Egypt is considered a good example for such countries with a population over than 98 million. The low level of staff expertise in dealing with visually disabled clients makes it harder for them. Thus, the research at hand addresses the main challenges that face people with visual disabilities, and the fact that they are mostly prevented from having independent bank accounts; which highly threatens their security. Literature was extensively reviewed to determine the key dimensions that affect the digital banking accessibility, and identify the mediating and moderating factors. A theoretical framework was accordingly developed and proposed. A structured questionnaire is adopted and adapted to survey people with visual disabilities. Focus groups are also conducted to understand their perceptions, and semi-structured interviews are conducted to get a deep insight into decision makers' perception both in the banking sector and the governmental entity. Data collected was statistical and interpretive. The study also conducts an experiment in order to assess the recommended digital banking system. Research findings together with the literature review enabled a set of recommendations that can act as a clear guide to governmental representatives and decision makers at banks.

Revolution in mobile technologies and the widespread access to mobile devices can lead to a paradigm shift in education. Mobile Learning (ML) is considered the upcoming trend of education, taking advantage of those mobile technologies and the opportunity to learn regardless of time and place. It is within this context that ML can and should contribute to the quality of education because of the rich communication and interaction environment it provides. Thus, schools and universities have started to realise their potential for solving the educational service problems. This is particularly highlighted in developing countries with very high population such as Egypt.

Knowledge is the only organisational asset that appreciates overtime. Thus, Knowledge sharing (KS) is considered a calling need rather than a luxury for organisations. Yet, only few studies have been conducted to explore KS issues in the real context of developing countries, and specifically in the Egyptian context, where social media plays an extremely important role. Accordingly, this study investigates and seeks to determine the antecedents of knowledge sharing in educational institutions using social media e-transactions in Egypt. The study used a structured questionnaire to collect data from the CMT and PQI faculties of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT)University, as the top non-governmental non-profit organisation in Egypt. The research proposed a model for knowledge sharing KS for both types of social media; Whatsapp and Facebook. The model contains six antecedents of knowledge sharing; namely Technology, Organization culture, Personality, Time, Management Support, and organization structure that happen through social media. The research also compares the knowledge sharing model shown between Whatsapp and Facebook undergraduate and postgraduate users, as they are the two most popular social media currently used in the AASTMT. Significant difference between the type of social media used and variables affecting knowledge sharing between postgraduates and undergraduates were discovered. The current study paves the way for motivating staff at educational institutions to share their knowledge. It gives the novel conceptual model based on why people do not share their knowledge and how KS practices can be fostered among the employees by the type of social media for both undergraduate and postgraduate institutions.

The dramatic technological advancements has shaped the way e-banking services are delivered, where e-transactions has started to dominate the banking industry worldwide. Although literature is rich with investigations on e-banking, most of these studies have been conducted in developed countries, with very few tackling the security behaviour (SB) of users in developing countries. Accordingly, this study aims to investigate E-banking transactions SB of bank clients in Egypt. The study proposes a model which identifies Social Standards, Technical Factors, Trust and Convenience together with user demographics as antecedents to SB. Experience of e-banking usage has also been introduced as a moderator for the research model. Questionnaires were designed and randomly distributed over 700 bank clients, where 478 valid were returned. Data was statistically analysed using SPSS to compute the convergent validity and reliability, descriptive statistics, regression analysis; and the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) was also used. Data analysis revealed very interesting results. Descriptive analysis implied that users highly trust and feel convenience towards having other people handle their ebanking transactions using their personal own cards and data. Applying Regression Analysis and SEM, showed a significant positive impact of Social Standards (SS) and Technical Factors (TF), while there is a significant negative impact of Trust and Convenience on SB. Trust was also found to be the most important variable for SB, followed by Convenience, then TF, and finally SS the least important. Regarding demographics, only income was found to have a significant impact SB, while other demographic variables were insignificant. However, Experience was found to have a significant impact on SB, and to play a significant moderation role between each of SS,

This research seeks to explore the content of Egyptian governorates websites using content analysis technique. Then, the electronic government (e-government) maturity model is used to provide a deep insight into the content every website, and in order to determine the maturity stage of each governorate website in terms of electronic transactions. After that, each website of the 27 governorates is assigned to a certain maturity level of e-government. The Unified Modeling Language (UML) is then used to analyse each governorate website and visualize the system design. The research then proposes a standardized portal model for all governorates that takes into consideration the active citizens' participation. After data analysis, it was found that most governorate websites only pass the informative stage of the e-government maturity model. The use of UML has also provided a clear visual view of the current situation of each governorate website, and how the governorate portal should be. The investigation results promote the construction of a standardized portal that can be used to provide citizens of different governorates a single point of access to their own governorate mission, vision, internal structure, interactive maps, statistical data and financial reports, public authority contacts, governorate news and event calendar.

The dramatic increase in the number of SMEs has been considered as the backbone of economies. Although literature has been rich in studies on organisational learning (OL), most of the research mainly focuses on large organisations, leaving small and medium enterprises (SMEs) marginalised. Accordingly, this paper seeks to redress the balance through investigating the impact of business information systems (BIS) on OL and identifying the main factors that enhance OL in SMEs in the Egyptian context. The main purpose of this research is to propose a conceptual model for OL which contains Organisational Dimensions (OD); namely Organisation Culture (OC), Management Support (MS), Group, and Personal Behaviour (PB) Dimensions; namely Human, Follower, and Time as the main factors that affect OL. BIS was introduced as a mediator for the model. The study used a questionnaire as a tool for data collection, where 410 employees at SMEs were surveyed. Research hypotheses were tested, and data was statistically analysed using SPSS.

Social networks' accessibility is vital for full participation in the society; especially for people with disability. Accordingly, the purpose of this study is to investigate how is Facebook accessible to people with visual disability and the impact of enhancing Facebook accessibility on their usage. In order to understand the research problem, an experimental method was utilised, where fifty pre-test questionnaires were distributed over visually impaired respondents to select suitable candidates for the experiment. Fifteen respondents were found to be experts in using computers, Internet, social networks, and assistive technologies, and have completed the experiment on Facebook to identify accessibility problems. After that, a post-test questionnaire was conducted to investigate the impact of enhancing Facebook accessibility on the usage of people with visual disability. The research results show that some features of the Facebook website are inaccessible for people with visual disability, while other features are semi-accessible. The research concludes that people with visual disability have received insignificant attention regarding these problems. Finally, the research suggests a list of recommendations for Facebook in order to be more accessible. To sum up, this paper is one of few studies that brings the topic of web accessibility by disabled people into the era where social networks is the way out of the digital divide. This makes it a thorough investigation that helps social networks make better informed decisions. Hence, the originality of this article lies in its focus on accessible social networks.

The Internet has a remarkable impact upon service companies; especially in the financial sector.
This research adopts the system dynamics approach as the construction model for continuous improvement of service quality. It highlights the quality problems in banks from the perspectives of the main stakeholders; customers and Internet banking providers that are
concluded from previous papers. From the data analysis, supported by the literature review, seven-service quality dimensions were identified; namely; Usability, Reliability, Responsiveness, Privacy, Fulfillment, Efficiency, Assurance. An e-banking service quality dynamic decision
support system is proposed in this paper. A revised dynamics model was drawn and simulated using Powersim software. System dynamics results show that Customer Relationship Management is a dimension that would increase e-service quality and customer satisfaction.
Finally, the results would help banks achieve a competitive edge through allocating attention and resources efficiently among e-service quality dimensions that are more important from the customer’s perspective.

Egypt is one of the significant nations in the district, particularly with its high populace. Although, the Egyptian Higher Education (HE) is the largest in the MENA region, and despite the clear investments in ICT, it still faces serious challenges chief amongst these is students' satisfaction. Recognizing that universities compete to attract and satisfy students; the main aim of this paper is to investigate the main factors that affect students' satisfaction in HE in Egypt. The study focuses on factors like Educational E-Services, Advising Support, Available Information, and Knowledge Acquired. 400 Egyptian HE students at private universities were randomly selected and surveyed using a self-administered structured questionnaire on a 5-point Likert scale, where 133 valid questionnaires were returned. Data collected was coded and statistically analysed using SPSS. When data was tested using chi-square and correlations, significant differences were proven, enabling researchers to reject the null hypotheses. When results were brought together, Educational E-Services, Advising Support, Available Information, and Knowledge Acquired were found to have a significant impact on the Egyptian customer satisfaction at HE. However, the Advising Support is the most influential factor among all variables. Therefore, it requires special attention of decision makers and academics; especially in the Egyptian context, where HE is highly effective with such high population.

Egypt is one of the major countries in the region, especially with its high population. The large number of students per class and the shrinking budgets has highlighted the role of private sector universities; as it can serve a great number of students while maintaining the low number of students per class due. Although literature is rich with studies regarding higher education (HE) universities, key criteria to students'satisfaction in the Egyptian context; especially in private HEstill need to be investigated in order to assess their impact on students' overall satisfaction. Accordingly, the research inquires on the main criteria that affect students' overall satisfaction with regards to the staff value, educational e-services and knowledge at a college in a private university in Egypt; as it offers a variety of e-educational services, which makes it a suitable vehicle for the study at hand. The surveyed college, has 1701 enrolled students, where 200 structured questionnaires were randomly distributed over students, with 103 questionnaires returned and considered valid. Data was statistically analysed and hypotheses were tested using chi-square, correlation, and regression tests. Finally, the research findings confirm a positive relation between staff, educational e-services, and knowledge values together with students' satisfaction. Hen conclusions were drawn and, recommendations were made to decision makers highlighting the importance of these criteria in particular, and the need to be given more attention.

Purpose-The purpose of this paper is to analyze the current performance of an SME's supply chain using one of the object oriented modeling techniques in order to develop a visual graphical model to be easily communicated to survive the current competitive environment. Design/methodology/approach-In this research, a semi-structured interview was conducted to an Egyptian SME and the Unified Modeling Language was used to analyze the collected data. Findings-The existing process of the supply chain was defined and mapped to understand the current process characteristics and capabilities. The current process was then analyzed and the result shows the obstacles and constrains facing the supply chain of the SME. Originality/value-This research develops a model that suits SMEs in the Egyptian market. The use of a Case Study approach with an object oriented tool, namely UML, makes this a thorough investigation that helps decision makers in Egyptian SMEs make better informed decisions. SMEs do not use the object oriented techniques in evaluating their problems, although it is very useful in analyzing the case study and model the current situation of the supply chain.

A conceptual modelling method from Soft Systems Methodology is applied to the conduct of a research investigation into ATM location and usage in Egypt. ATMs are seen as sociotechnical systems, and conceptual models are produced for three stakeholders, then consolidated into a single model. Consideration of some of the collected data suggests that these models contain some mistakes or misconceptions, and a provisional revised model is suggested. The interplay of conceptualisation and data collection appears methodologically rewarding in this case.

The study at hand reports a partial use of Soft Systems Methodology SSM in an analysis of the Automated Teller Machine (ATM) system in the Egyptian banking industry. It was suggested that the central stages of SSM-formulation of root definitions and conceptual models-can be usefully deployed as an analytic toolset in a broader investigation, without going through the preliminary immersive phase, and without necessarily offering the conceptual models as a base for an organizational change project. The study developed root definitions and conceptual models, not from immersion but from imagining how different stakeholders might see the ATM system, and by working from general knowledge, a review of the literature, and rational analysis. Conceptual models developed in this way were then used pragmatically as the research proceeded: they could be modified, merged or discarded, or new ones might emerge. One of the main outcomes of the research was a consolidated combined conceptual model, which brought together different perspectives on the ATM system from different stakeholders, and brought to light some of the tensions and contradictions in the development of a national ATM network. The research reported here suggests that the central stages of SSM can be used independently of the other stages in the investigation of sociotechnical change. As, the user experience is an important prerequisite for the success of e-banking applications, the main subject of the research study reported here is the use of Automated Teller Machine (ATM) in Egypt. Data was collected using an unstructured interview with a senior staff member in HSBC Egypt. Data was then analyzed using process modelling. In this paper, we will develop an initial process architecture diagram but will not go on to depict the internal structure of individual processes. Some ATM problems in Egypt were discovered, which enabled the researchers to make recommendations to ATM decision makers in Egypt on ATMs.

As, the user experience is an important prerequisite for the success of mobile applications; the main subject of the research study reported here is the use of Mobile Learning (ML) in Egypt. The study is part of a wider investigation into social and technical aspects of ML in Egypt. The study investigates:  What are the Egyptian cultural aspects that affect the adoption of mobile learning?  What is the correlation between the main technology adoption criteria and the likely use of ML? A structured questionnaire was devised, data was collected, analysed, and some correlations were calculated. Greet Hofstede's cultural dimensions were mapped against the questionnaire's output in order to be able to make recommendations on how to address the mobile learning users' needs. This would improve their usage experience and promote mobile learning services in Egypt.

The main subject of the research study is the implementing of m-health reservation system at the Arab Academy for
Science and Technology and maritime transport (AASTMT), Egypt. The AASTMT was selected as a case university that
offers health services to staff and students in Egypt. The paper proposes a comprehensive m-health insurance reservation
system. The proposed system is based on the current electronic medical records of the staff at the academy's clinic. The study tries to answer the research question: What are the main usability problems that affect user experience with regards
to m-health reservation system?
In order to answer this question a usability test was planned, developed and tested in a laboratory environment, where respondents were asked to actually reserve an appointment at the academy's clinic using an iPhone 3G.
The m-health clinic reservation website user interface was evaluated by 9 moderately experienced users performed typical tasks. The experimental evaluation was carried out at a controlled laboratory environment to allow participants’ perform tasks using mobile device browser. The experiment was recorded, the test was analyzed, and conclusions were derived.

Banks have moved towards technology-based customer services such as mobile banking (m-banking); as an alternative to traditional inter-personal services. However, M-banking still faces resistance that may hamper customers' adoption in Egypt. Following a mixed method approach, this study involves two main phases. First, a quantitative Consumer survey is conducted in the form of 350 structured questionnaires to identify the main barriers towards M-banking. Then, decision makers in 5 different public and private banks are interviewed in order to find similarities and difference, and identify service providers' roles regarding these barriers. Questionnaire data was statistically analysed using independent T-Test, frequencies and cross tabulations, while interview data was interpretively analysed. Results enabled the researchers to identify the risk, usage, and tradition as the most m-banking barriers that discourage m-banking adoption in Egypt as seen by the two main players.

Goal achievement is an important issue for the success of any organisation. For an organisation to successfully set up its plans, business processes have to be clear enough to managers. It was seen that both business process modelling and improvement complement and reinforce one another and that improving business processes is vital for planning and goal achievement. This is particularly important in competitive markets, where building and maintaining a good customer relationship is essential to long-term business survival. Accordingly, organisational goals should include Customer Relationship Management. Thus, the main subject of the research is to examine how an organisation can determine its goals and plan to better satisfy their customers. In order to get a deeper insight, seven key decision makers at the case study organisation have been interviewed. Riva technique was used to analyse and improve the CRM process. It was found out that modelling the systems process should be among the first steps to problem solution in order to better understand the current activities and accordingly detect, adjust and improve any inefficiency that may cause customers to switch to other service providers. Business process modelling seems to a suitable vehicle to start with; as it will help decision makers easily and clearly find out the improvements required in each business area in general and each process in particular. The model can help managers whether fully aware of the system or newly introduced to it in planning, measuring performance and evaluating employees upon a concrete basis. Business Process Improvement can help identify whether employees realize the existence of a problem or are just driven by paper work regardless of their performance or results achieved. The improved system together with the way to improve, provide a roadmap for other organisations in similar circumstances.
