By 2050 world population could be around 9 billion people - to feed, clothe, transport, employ and educate. With our commitment to a growth-driven world economy that will face inflation, supply endless consumption to everyone, we add a digital device everyday that helps everyone to succeed and prosper. We have reached greatness, no doubt, but our magnificent successes will be matched by the growing Crisis of Success. As we pursue unlimited growth, our endless consumption threatens to warm the climate, overspending of our financial resources, requiring more fresh water than we have, increasing income inequality, diminishing other species and triggering shock waves whenever we are unable to cope with a problem. Billions of people are at the “bottom” of the economy. The middle class is becoming irrelevant in advanced societies. Many no longer believe today’s leaders can improve this, though they are increasing their power and digital devices. Leaders want new options as much as everyone else. Apparently, there is room to dream about a more successful world along with new technology. The big questions are: Can we envision a world where tech helps everyone succeed and prosper? Can that world be designed and built now, without waiting for “the future” to arrive?

This paper describes key aspects of the structural and functional transformation of the Russian state statistics system as a core element of the future National Data Management System. Issues such as establishing a dialogue between the statistics service and users, integrating data from various sources, and intelligent data processing in the context of the digitalization of the economy are considered. New approaches and mechanisms should integrate and advance all of the previously achieved best results in methodology, observation areas, metrics, and other domains. Improvement areas include providing higher-quality information for policy shaping, businesses, individuals, and external partners. National statistics is expected to present an interconnected, objectively measurable model of socioeconomic processes and phenomena based on relevant theoretical concepts. In addition to using various sources of data, a necessary feature of the new system will be its reliance on a consistent conceptual framework and approaches to interpreting data, which will make it possible to integrate various data sources in the first place.

Users of intelligent statistics are becoming not only active participants in primary data collection, accumulation and application processes, but are turning into “smart” consumers who develop statistical thinking and are able to derive the greatest possible benefits from the use of statistical data. Such skills should become an inherent (and possibly mandatory) component of any.

The whole world is being transformed into a digital sphere of perfection and digital skills have found an inevitable space the advancement of every individual, industry, and regional success." Education system is most essential sector in any sort of development. Digital glimpse have changed the very interface of traditional education system which was restricted in classrooms with limited teaching-learning options. The digital world has opened up amazing platforms of teaching-learning exploration where individual uniqueness, aspiration, freedom, etc of both teachers and learners are given preference with happy and comfort learning space. In this digital scenario happy learning pedagogy would enable the teachers and students to explore teaching and learning process more happily inside and outside the classroom. Intention of every person is to lead a happy life from birth to death in which happy learning has more vital role to define his or her life success with sustainable outcome. This article highlights the happy learning factors that are being collected from the teachers and students through interviews are considered as elements of e-pedagogy which enable the students to excel in learning with digital skills at a happy atmosphere enhancing self-learning, discipline, positive emotions, self-study, etc.

Modernite kavramı her zaman için sosyolojik tartışmaların merkezinde yer almıştır. Bunun başlıca sebebi, sosyoloji disiplininin modern çağ içerisinde ortaya çıkmış olması ve modern toplumu incelemesidir. En basit ifadesiyle geleneksel olandan bir kopuşa işaret eden modern sözcüğünden türetilen modernite, kimi düşünürlere göre son bulmuş ve yerini post-modern döneme bırakmıştır. Buna katılmayan geç modernite kuramcıları ise moderniteden bir kopuştan çok, bir değişim ve dönüşüm sürecine odaklanılması gerektiğini savunmuşlardır. Bir geç modernist olan Ulrich Beck, ikinci modernite kavramını ortaya atmış ve bu dönemin risk kavramıyla tanımlanması gerektiğini iddia etmiştir. Diğer bir geç modernist olan Anthony Giddens ise risk olgusunu modernitenin tek sonucu olarak değil, birden fazla sonuçtan bir tanesi olarak değerlendirmiş ve risk toplumu kavramı bu iki düşünürün argümanları doğrultusunda şekillenmiştir. Mevcut çalışmada, dijital çağın Beck ve Giddens’ın risk toplumuyla ilgili iddialarına uygun bir görünüm sergilediği düşüncesinden hareket edilmiştir. Bu doğrultuda, dijital çağın önemli dönüştürücülerinden biri olan sosyal medya platformları, bilginin güvenliği ve gizliliği ilkesi bağlamında bir risk olarak kuramsal bir tartışma ekseninde ele alınmıştır. Çalışmanın sonucunda, risk toplumu kavramsallaştırmasına uygun olarak teknolojik gelişmelerin risk olgusuyla bağlantısının artan bir şekilde devam ettiği ve bunlarla baş edebilmek adına bireysel önlemlerin alınması gerektiği anlaşılmıştır.

Efforts to make sense of the transition to the Fourth Industrial Revolution, which arguably represents a new breaking point in continuity, continue to show in every area. In this sense, occupations and job markets have also gained new ground, and become areas of transformation. Transformation can lead to a demand for skills that may, in turn, lead to new transformations in the labour market institutions, the job market, and employment, in the coming years. In this respect, the aim of this study is to discuss how labour skills will be transformed in the coming years, and the importance of communication skills in this transformation, using the literature review method. The study consists of four parts. Following the first chapter of conceptual explanations, in the second part, the reasons for digital transformation and the new problems in the labour market will be covered. In the third chapter, the importance of communication skills in transformation is examined, and finally, the fourth chapter will examine one of the most important things to do against the transformation of skills.

A era digital e, posteriormente, a chegada da Web 2.0 são dois eventos que marcam a chegada de tecnologias inovadoras e novos comportamentos ao cotidiano da sociedade. The thesis dissects one of the most prominent examples of cutting-edge contemporary digital business models that are effectively disrupting several industries and changing the way we live. These are: Netflix, Spotify, Airbnb, Uber, Revolut and Amazon. Secondly, it presents the concise history of technologies that led to this stage – primarily, the development of the internet, computers, and smartphones as well as the key concepts used to describe these businesses – the concept of a Business Model and Disruptive Innovation. It also presents a critical analysis of the legal and economic challenges faced by these businesses. The thesis is concluded with the presentation of novel technologies which after their ubiquitous adoption, might be the source of new major disruptive business models.

Definition of typography, common application areas and book covers which is one of these areas will be examined within this study and analyzes about usage of experimental typography will be conducted. Experimental approach process, its result and affects will be investigated and findings about necessity of experimental typography will be tried to find.

Nowadays, procrastination has become a common practice used by people in their daily lifestyle. Almost every person does this habit, not knowing that this is not a simple habit to be shook off, procrastination is seemingly harmless, yet it induces various consequences. However, it mostly affects students as they tend to delay academic tasks. According to Solomon and Rothblum (1994), academic procrastination refers to the tendency to put off or delay tasks related to one’s study so that they are either not fully completed by their due dates or have to be rushed to be finished. Studies have shown that up to 70 percent of the students procrastinate on a regular basis (e.g. Shouwenburg, 2004).

This study is primarily for the purpose of letting the students apprehend the effects of procrastination in their academic performances and to prevent this habit among the Universidad de Manila’s Senior High School students, which will promote awareness to this habit and greater academic performance.

Öz: Hayatımızın giderek sanal hale gelmeye başladığı dijital çağ devriminin tam ortasında bulunmaktayız. Dijital çağ öncesi dönemde, suç kavramı genel olarak coğrafi alanlarla ilişkilendirilirdi ve suç işlenmesi için fiziksel ortam birlikteliği kesinlikle gerekli görülmekteydi. Fakat değişen yapıda, geçtiğimiz yıllarda çok basit amaçlarla kullandığımız internet ve sosyal medya, artık rutin hareketlerimizi değiştirebilen çok güçlü bir enstrüman haline gelmiş bulunmaktadır. Özellikle dijital platformlarda oluşturduğumuz sahte sanal kimlikler sayesinde, gerçek hayatta birbirlerini hiç tanımayan kişiler, belki evlerinden dahi hiç çıkmadan basit tekniklerle dünyanın bambaşka bir yerinde, sanal ortamda gerçek bir suç işleyebilmektedir. Bu nedenle fiziksel birlikteliği ortadan kaldıran ve kimlik gizlemeye olanak tanıyan, farklı bir ifadeyle kişiyi kimliksizleştiren dijital ağlarla birlikte, suç işlemenin giderek kolaylaştığını söylemek mümkündür. Hatta çoğu zaman kişilerin, dijital ortamların sağladığı sınırları aşan iletişim olanağıyla suç işlemeyi öğrendiğini söylemek bile artık abartıya kaçmayacak bir tespit olarak görülebilir. Eskiden deftere not aldığımız bir bilgi, en fazla bir insan ömrü kadar hayatımızda kalabiliyorken; şimdi internet ortamının devasa boyutta bilgiyi saklayabilme özelliğiyle birlikte, artık sonsuza kadar var olacaktır. Örneğin, kolumuza taktığımız akıllı saat, saat fonksiyonlarının yanısıra telefon, navigasyon ve kredi kartı vb. amaçlar için kullanılabilmekte ve hatta başlı başına suç olan ortam dinlemesi yapmak için dahi hayatımızda konumlandırılabilmektedir. Bilginin paylaşılması normalde öznel istekle gerçekleşen bir davranış türüyken, mahremiyet içeren bilginin onay dışında paylaşımı suç teşkil etmektedir, dijital platformlarda ise bu gibi mahremiyet karşıtı eylemleri durdurmak oldukça zordur. Dijital suç fiilinin ülke sınırlarını aşabilme özelliği ve kabiliyeti de bu suç türünün cezalandırılmasının hangi devletin kanunlarına göre yapılacağı sorununu da gündeme getirmekte ve belirsizlik yaratmaktadır. Tüm bu gerekçeler ışığında bu bölümde, genç bireylerin ağırlıkla kullanıcı kitlesini oluşturduğu, dijital platformların suç açısından ortaya çıkardığı değişimlerin; suçlu, mağdur, suç mekânı ve güvenlik güçleri açısından ortaya çıkardığı değişimlerin incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır.


Abstract:: We are in the middle of the digital age revolution, where our lives are becoming increasingly virtual. In the pre-digital age, the concept of crime was generally associated with geographical areas, and the coexistence of physical environment was absolutely necessary for the crime to be committed. But in the changing structure, the internet and social media, which we use for very simple purposes in recent years, have now become a very powerful instrument that can change our routine behaviour. Thanks to the fake virtual identities that we create on digital platforms, people who do not know each other in real life can commit a real crime in a virtual environment in a completely different part of the world using simple techniques, perhaps without even leaving their homes. Thus, one can say that committing a crime has now become easier with the digital networks that eliminate the physical unity and allow the identities to be disguised, in other words, allow the people to de-identificate themselves. In fact, it can often be said that people learn to commit crimes through the communication that transcends the boundaries of digital environments. The information that we used to note down to a notebook, would remain in our lives until we die; however, now with the ability to store a huge amount of data on the Internet, this information will be available forever. For example, the smart watch that we put on, besides its time function,  can also be used for the purposes such as a phone, a navigation device and a credit card etc. and it can even allow us to listen and record the things around us, which is a crime by itself. While sharing information is a subjective behavior, sharing of private information without permission is considered a crime. In digital platforms, it is difficult to stop such anti-privacy actions. The ability of the digital criminal act to go beyond the borders of the country also raises the question "which country's laws are to be followed in the punishment process of this crime committed" and leads to uncertainty. In this section, it was aimed to examine the changes created by the digital platforms, whose majority of users are young people, in terms of crime; and the changes that they bring about in terms of criminals, victims, crime scene and security forces.

Today there are over 180,000 Small Christian Communities (SCCs in short) in the nine AMECEA countries in Eastern Africa. Kenya alone has over 45,000 SCCs. The internet
(websites specifically about SCCs in Africa, online journals, online learning sites, search engines like Google, social networking sites like Facebook and YouTube, blogs, email messages, etc.) in this digital age can dramatically expand our knowledge and understanding on two levels.

        First, the internet can help SCCs in Africa to share their experience with the rest of the world. Through the internet and other forms of the new information technology members of African SCCs can feel part of the World Church.

      Second, the internet can help people around the world learn about SCCs in Africa. This essay treats the following headings: “Tracking SCCs in Africa,” “History of the Small Christian Communities Global Collaborative Website” www.smallchristiancommunities.org), “Content of the Africa Section of the SCCs Website,” “Small Christian Communities Facebook Pages and Groups,” “Promoting the Voices of Women, Youth and the Marginated” and “The Future is Now for SCCs in Africa.”

The paper attempted to elicit the various ways of promoting access to indigenous knowledge (IK) in the digital age
bringing libraries into the scene as facilitators. Some major characteristics of IK were listed such as IK being
mostly rural in origin and locally bound; not systematically documented; oral in nature and usually transmitted
through personal communication; not integrated into modern scientific and technical knowledge; culture specific
and often generated within communities; use is cost-effective, deployment and mobilization not expensive. Other
issues were also addressed such as types and applications of Indigenous Knowledge, libraries and Indigenous
Knowledge, promotion of access to and challenges involved in promoting access to IK. Recommendations and
conclusions were made.

This thesis explores the challenges of navigating young women’s sexual agency and consent in the digital age. To do so I address the subject of sexting, the policing of young women’s sexuality through cyberbullying, and audience responses to a case of sextortion in an episode of Degrassi: The Next Generation. In each case, I argue that young women are continuously policed and shamed by others for visible displays of their sexuality.

türden bilgi edinmelerini [veya ona maruz kalmalarını] ve kendilerini ifade etmelerine olanak

Um die gegenwärtige Transformation der Öffentlichkeit im digitalen Zeitalter erfassen zu können, ist in der Öffentlichkeitstheorie eine erweiterte Perspektive notwendig, die nicht nur den massenmedialen Diskurs, sondern auch die Veränderung sozialer Praktiken und institutioneller Strukturen in den Blick nimmt. Das Ziel dieses Buches besteht darin, die Grundlagen einer solchen Perspektive auf die Theorie digitaler Öffentlichkeiten zu entwickeln. Im vorgeschlagenen Ansatz wird Öffentlichkeit im Anschluss an John Dewey als Prozess verstanden. In seiner prozessualen und funktionalen Bestimmung von Öffentlichkeit liegt eine besondere Originalität, die seinen Ansatz von anderen Öffentlichkeitskonzeptionen unterscheidet. Das Buch liefert sowohl eine systematische Rekonstruktion und Interpretation der Philosophie John Deweys als auch einen Vorschlag zur gesellschaftstheoretischen Deutung des digitalen Wandels.

In order to understand the contemporary transformation of the public sphere in the digital age, it is required to incorporate a broader theoretical perspective that not only takes mass media into account, but also the transformation of social practices and institutional structures. The aim of this book is to develop the basis for such a perspective on the theory of the public sphere. The reading put forward here takes its cue from John Dewey, who viewed the public sphere as a process?. His procedural and functional concept of the public sphere differs from many of the more established concepts. This book provides a comprehensive reconstruction and interpretation of John Dewey’s philosophy and offers an interpretation of the digital transformation in terms of social theory.

Στη συνέχεια της εργασίας αναλύεται διεξοδικά το Ευρωπαϊκό  Πλαίσιο Ψηφιακής Ικανότητας Πολιτών ( The Digital Competence Framework 2.0),  όπως αυτό έχει ορισθεί από την Ευρωπαϊκή Ένωση. Τέλος παρεντίθενται προτάσεις
που αφορούν την ψηφιακή ανάπτυξη και δεξιότητες των φοιτητών/ τριών και πώς  αυτό μπορεί να επιτευχθεί από τις Ακαδημαϊκές Βιβλιοθήκες.

This study determines the digital-age readiness of the secondary teachers of Cainta Catholic College. The intention of this study is to conclude whether the age and teaching experience of the teachers could affect their skills in learning and operating technologically inclined instructional materials for their daily teaching.

It seeks to answer the following questions:
1. What is the demographic profile of the respondents in terms of:
1.1 Age; and
1.2 Teaching Experience
2. What is the level of readiness of secondary teachers in using technology-based instructional materials in teaching in terms of:
2.1 Knowledge;
2.2 Attitude; and
2.3 Practice
3. Is there a significant difference between teachers’ readiness and the demographic profile of the respondents?
Where: Ho = No significant difference between teachers’ readiness and the demographic profile of the respondents.

The researchers have used the descriptive method of research as it was deemed appropriate for the problem under investigation, and the quota sampling technique in selecting the sample needed for the study. The researchers have also developed the research instrument, the questionnaire. And it would be answered by an average of 10 respondents per group that would be classified by their age and teaching experience. Furthermore, an absolute of 40 respondents from the High School faculty, A.Y. 2016-2017, will contribute to this study.

Based on the results, the readiness of teachers in terms of age has some significant difference in regard of their knowledge, while there is no significant difference on their attitude and practices. The readiness of teachers in terms of their teaching experience revealed that there are some significant differences regarding their knowledge and attitude. The respondents agreed that they are proficient in terms of knowledge, attitude and practices, but they lack time in preparing their materials. The results also show that the respondents with the age of 51 – above have a lower proficiency in terms of knowledge, attitude, and practices. The respondents with the age of 20 – 30 show that they excel in terms of knowledge, attitude and practices.
It was therefore concluded, that based on the respondents’ assessment on the level of readiness of secondary teachers in Cainta Catholic College. They have agreed that their level of readiness in preparation of the digital-age is proficient yet the hindrance found was their adaptability in utilizing technology to instruction.

From The Selfie to The Spiritual: Contemplating Female Self-Representation in a Digital Age investigates a central question: how might seeing the self through a spiritual lens expand the contemporary field of female self-representation in which the digital selfie reigns?

My studio project springs from and engages with existing research into selfie culture, contemporary self-representation in art and spirituality in art. Through my artworks, I seek to discover alternatives to a visual culture obsessed with exteriority, object-hood and surface representations of the self. In suggesting such alternatives, my project advocates for greater critical awareness and potential transformation of female objectification and self-objectification in visual culture including social media.

Deploying sculpture, video, light and photographic work, my project prompts a re-imagination of female self-representation. The art works propose a parallel symbolic relationship between sight and a search for self-understanding. This connection between seeking and vision is referred to via a range of spiritual and religious references to meditation, pilgrimage, worship, baptism and rebirth and ocular motifs including irises, contact lenses, crystal balls and mirrors.

Through a spatial installation of objects and images reflecting interiority, symbolic narrative and inward focus, I explore the potential to express a layered and complex spiritual account of the self from within an increasingly commodified, networked and disembodied digital age.

This chapter explores the contribution of science fiction to the study of education. It uses the perceived self-evident necessity of a new digital curriculum for Aotearoa New Zealand as the context for analysis, providing an argument for science fiction as a critical tool for questions concerning education. Philip K. Dick provides the provocation for this work through his novel Flow My Tears, the Policeman Said (1993) in which a State addicted to big data cannot cope with the idea of an individual who does not appear on any database and thereby is not coded. In our adaptation of this work, we explore the implications of the rise of digital technologies in the national curriculum, wondering what Algorithmic Intelligence will think of the human teacher once it becomes self-aware, and what the teachers will think of being teachers in the digital, big data, society.

This article argues that the digital world is beginning to play a key role in moving commercial actors toward intentionally relational contracting practices by fostering and rewarding interdependence, adaptability, and reciprocity among otherwise autonomous, self-interested actors in the marketplace. Using a case study involving the most important technology affecting contractual relations in the construction industry, this article explores how collaborative technologies may be expanding opportunities for relational contract in commercial transactions. The study shows how building information modeling is reshaping contractual behavior in the industry by facilitating and encouraging a previously unimagined degree of collaboration among design professionals, builders, specialty trades, suppliers, manufacturers, and owners and operators. The result could be a truly transformative shift toward relational contract in the building sector.

The nature of communication has begun to change dramatically, as face-to-face communication has gradually been replaced by online communication. People's need to express their emotions and thoughts more visually than ever before has triggered an evolution in communication, from verbal to visual. In this sense, the importance of symbols and icons in communication is continuously increasing. Furthermore, this change can be closely related to the marketing discipline. Therefore, this chapter focuses on semi-otics as the field of research that studies symbols as an essential part of marketing communication in the digital age.

This article seeks to illuminate the right to privacy in the digital age under African human rights law. Recent debates have asked whether, and to what extent, African human rights law, and in particular African Charter on Human and Peoples' Rights (African Charter) protect the right to privacy on the internet. On the one hand, there is a view that the African Charter does not expressly protects the right to privacy, which gives rise to the debate around a lex imperfecta, which in turn, portrays an absence of normative protection on the right to privacy.  On the other hand, there is an argument that it is possible to read a right to privacy into the African Charter notwithstanding this lack of an express provision and this offers pragmatic alternatives on the existence of the right to privacy under African human rights law.  This article disentangles two untrodden paths towards realising the right to privacy on the internet in Africa: applying international law through the Charter’s flexibility clause and through developments under African human rights law as a result of subsequent agreements and practice. The first way allows the African Commission (Court) on Human and Peoples’ Rights to draw inspiration from international law pertaining to the right to privacy under article 60 of the African Charter.  The second way is via subsequent agreements, treaties and protocols that have developed African human rights law since the Charter came into force. As a result of either or both of these pathways, this article argues that the right to privacy in the digital age is protected as part of the corpus of the African human rights law.

What are the main features of the new contemporary power regime and the emerging forms of surveillance? I intend to investigate this question following the steps of Michel Foucault, but looking beyond the sovereign, disciplinary and biopolitical or securitarian logics. In this presentation, I would like to return to the course "Security, Territory, Population" (1978), in which Foucault reflects on the organization of cities and the fight against contagious diseases, through the triad of leprosy, plague, and smallpox, or La Métropolitée, Richelieu, and Nantes. I propose a fourth paradigmatic moment: Covid-19 and smart cities and necropolises. I want to emphasize the complexity and variations in the way power and surveillance operate in the contemporary world, with special attention to the ways in which the Global North and the Global South differ. I argue that neoliberal governmentality assumes two important features today, one more focused on the "winners", on the production of entrepreneurial subjects, and another more authoritarian, focused on the "losers" or the "undesirables". In the former, we observe the "principle of racism" and the sacrificial logic operating, as we can notice in the Brazilian way of dealing with the Covid-19 pandemic. I also argue that a complete analysis of the new power regime cannot ignore this twofold dynamic, just as a complete analysis of European modernity is not possible without considering the phenomenon of colonization.

Музеи, являясь по своей природе консервативными институциями, оказываются в ситуации, когда нельзя не реагировать на изменения, происходящие в обществе. Сделав краткий экскурс в историю музейного дела, мы поговорим о том, как меняется музей в XXI веке, готов ли он к вызовам современности и соответствует ли запросам публики.

Çalışma turizmde insan–robot yapay zeka etkileşimine dikkat çekmekte, dijitalleşen turizm ve hizmet sektöründen örnekler sunmaktadır. Bunun yanı sıra geleceğin insan kaynağını oluşturacak olan Z ve Alfa kuşağının özellikleri ile yeniden şekillenen iş dünyasına yönelik literatür taraması yer almaktadır. Turizm, seyahat ve konaklama endüstrisinde halihazırda yapay zeka, robotik teknolojiler ve hizmet otomasyonlarında yaşanan gelişmeler hakkında bir inceleme sunulmaktadır. Çalışmada geleceğin insan kaynağını, davranış kalıplarını ve hizmet standartlarını kendi çağına göre değiştirecek olan Z ve Alfa kuşağının yıllar içerisinde tanık olduğu/olacağı teknolojik trendlerin, robot teknolojiler, hizmet otomasyonları ve yapay zekanın turizm ve hizmet sektörü dinamikleri ile seyahat şekillerini nasıl yönlendireceği hakkında birtakım öngörülerden bahsedilmektedir. Teknolojik trendlerin en güçlüsü olan yapay zekâ ve yapay zeka ürünlerinin turizm de dahil diğer birçok endüstriyi kendi kurallarına göre yeniden şekillendirebileceği ve güçlü değişikliklerin yaşanabileceği bu çalışma aracılığıyla vurgulanmak istenmiş ve bu konu ile ilgili yapılacak olan farklı çalışmalara ışık tutması amaçlanmıştır. Yazın taraması olarak hazırlanan bu çalışmanın turizm alanında yapay zeka ve dijital gelişmeler ile ilgili yapılması planlanan diğer çalışmalar için temel olması amaçlanmıştır.

Information entails data, facts, imaginations, ideas, opinions, and cultural values in a variety of media, including print, audio-visual materials, and electronic formats. In the library context, information includes personal knowledge and external sources such as referrals, interlibrary loan and data banks (Olowu, 2004).The importance of information, especially in the 21st century, cannot be over emphasized.
The increasing relationship between information and the competitive economic advantage of nations and multinationals has given rise to the insatiable need for information. Indeed, in modern economy, some factors of production are tied around information or knowledge: knowledge assets (what people know and put into use) and collaboration assets (whom people interact with to create value) (Wikipedia, 2008). The digital age is characterized majorly with the advent of the Internet, information technology and information explosion which is among the few things humans have built that have transformed the ways of life of man. Developments in information technologies and advances in telecommunications have revolutionized the worldwide information society. New techniques have facilitated rapid transformation of data, information and knowledge into digital form. As a result, there have been significant changes in the ways in which documents and information are being stored, organized, accessed, retrieved and disseminated. These developments have further resulted in the change of approaches followed by the libraries which now have to be more innovative and user oriented.
