Il testo, partendo dalla presenza vegetale nella iconografia di Matilde di Canossa tra medioevo ed età moderna, presenta l'esperienza del ricamo reggiano (Ars Canusina) sviluppatasi all'Ospedale Psichiatrico "S. Lazzaro" di Reggio Emilia come forma terapica per bambini affetti da patologie di natura psichiatrica e recuperata dal 1990 dal Circolo Culturale Reggio Ricama.

BERA/TACTYC Review of Early Childhood Education and Care in the UK, 2003-2017 has involved a wide range of early childhood specialists, both in the early consultation stages, and in writing the five main sections of the Review. Teams of authors and their reference groups came together from TACTYC – the Association for Professional Development in Early Years, and the BERA Early Childhood Education and Care SIG. Using specific questions to interrogate the literature, each team worked on one of five main themes: Professionalism; Parenting and Family; Play and Pedagogy; Learning, Development and Curriculum, and Assessment and School Readiness. These themes are contextualised within broad policy issues in the UK. The Introduction shows the working methods for the Review, and the Conclusion brings together key messages and suggestions for future research. L’articolo illustra le norme che per molti secoli, a partire dal tardo Medioevo, hanno regolato la vita della comunità brescellese (Brescello, Boretto, Lentigione e, per un certo periodo anche Gualtieri). Erano suddivisi in tre libri: il primo che riguardava la nomina e i poteri del Podestà, del Consiglio e dei Consiglieri, il secondo regolava le cause civili e il terzo quelle penali, con l’ampia gamma di sanzioni previste, che non di rado comprendevano la pena di morte.

Nato a Montecchio in provincia di Reggio Emilia, William Catellani espone oggi per la prima volta in uno spazio istituzionale a Bologna. Tra i migliori allievi di Giorgio Morandi, è nell'incisione, tecnica appresa dal maestro ai tempi dell'Accademia di Belle Arti, che egli trova il suo terreno espressivo ideale. Di indole cauta, solitaria, riflessiva, i panni dell'artista non erano quelli che gli calzavano a pennello.

Lo studio di Curio Lancillotto Pasi, umanista ferrarese poco conosciuto ma che ebbe importanti contatti culturali, fornisce preziose informazioni per comprendere meglio la cultura italiana dell’epoca. Infatti, emergono numerose relazioni con personaggi di spicco: da Ariosto, a Pomponio Leto, a Filippo Beroaldo. Attraverso un riesame di vecchi e nuovi documenti d’archivio, come anche di opere finora sconosciute (la Bononiae restitutio), emergono gli stretti e duraturi legami culturali del Pasi con gli Este. Infine, lo studio della grammatica latina dell’umanista, la sua opera principale, mette in luce la fortuna di cui il Pasi godette al di fuori dell’Italia; le cure indefesse che l’umanista dedicò alla princeps di quest’opera, volte ad aggiornare le praefationes per opportunità di dedica, e gli incessanti interventi in corso di stampa hanno generato alcune varianti di stato di cui si dà conto al termine dell’articolo.

This paper reports on a case study of male foundation phase pre-service students who were among the first cohort to specialise in the foundation phase since the inception of the programme at one South African university. The students reported on their experiences of teaching in a female-dominated field and their views about their preparedness to teach in the field. This qualitative study is interpretive in nature. Using purposive sampling, eighteen students were sampled from a population of twenty. Data was generated through focus group interviews and then analysed and categorised. The patterns across categories showed that the pre-service teachers had faced an unwelcoming environment in the schools at the outset, but that this changed over time. Varhaiskasvatuksen henkilöstötilanne näyttää kriisiytyneen ja arki päiväkodeissa on paikoittain epävakaata. Tutkimuksen tavoitteena oli selvittää, mitkä oppimisympäristön tekijät liittyvät korkeaksi arvioituun kaaokseen. Oppimisympäristöä lähestyttiin prosessilaadun näkökulmasta keskittyen vuorovaikutuksen sekä pedagogisen toiminnan ja sen johtamiseen liittyviin teemoihin. Lisäksi henkilöstön ja lasten toimintaa kaoottisissa oppimisympäristöissä tarkasteltiin lähemmin päiväkodin yleisen tilanteen, lapsen toiminnan sekä henkilöstön ja lasten sosiaalisten orientaatioiden kautta. Þessi grein segir frá starfendarannsókn sem var hluti af meistaraverkefni við Háskólann á Akureyri. Rannsóknin hafði það að markmiði að auka hæfni mína til að kenna ungum börnum lýðræðisleg gildi. Ég leitaðist við að finna heppilegar kennsluaðferðir og fór rannsóknin fram í einum leikskóla á höfuðborgarsvæðinu. Rannsóknin var unnin með hópi 5–6 ára barna, níu kennurum auk rannsakandans. Kennsluaðferðir þróuðust á meðan á rannsókninni stóð m.a. með því að rýna í eigin aðferðir auk þess sem kennarar og börn mátu gæði kennslustundarinnar hverju sinni. Einnig var markvisst unnið að því að auka sjálfsmynd barnanna og ræða við börnin um lýðræðisleg gildi í daglegu starfi.Í rannsókninni var áhersla lögð á aðferðir sem voru börnunum kunnugar, þ.e. hugmyndir og efni úr sérkennslu voru nýttar sem og leikur, bæði frjáls og skipulagður. Í þessari grein er fjallað um starfsþróunarverkefnið Hugleik – samræður til náms í leikskóla. Um er að ræða verkefni sem unnið var í samstarfi leikskólans Lundarsels á Akureyri, Miðstöðvar skólaþróunar og kennaradeildar Háskólans á Akureyri. Megintilgangur verkefnisins var að starfsfólk leikskólans lærði um samræður og efldi leikni sína til að nota samræðuaðferðir með börnum í daglegu skólastarfi með það að markmiði að efla með börnum hæfni til að draga ályktanir, taka afstöðu og efla rökhugsun. Margvíslegar rannsóknir hafa farið fram á samræðum sem sýna að þær hvetja börn til að ígrunda og skerpa vitund þeirra um eigin hugsunaraðferðir. Samræðuaðferðir fela t.d. í sér að spyrja spurninga sem hvetja til ígrundunar í þeim tilgangi að efla með börnum gagnrýna hugsun og hæfni til að ræða saman. A partire dal XII secolo si assiste a un largo impiego di murature in opera quadrata medievale in un significativo numero di edifici di alta committenza, soprattutto nelle chiese, della montagna reggiana. Per molti anni questa svolta costruttiva è stata letta in funzione della presenza dell'importante famiglia comitale dei Canossa, i quali sarebbero stati alla base di buona parte delle committente di questi edifici. Una rilettura archeologica e storico-documentaria dei dati a disposizione tuttavia porta a ritenere che la maggior parte delle chiese della montagna vennero rifondate e riedificate dai vescovi cittadini a cavallo della metà del XII secolo, ovvero nel momento in cui il Comune cittadino andava definendo i propri spazi di azione politica in contrasto con i residui di feudalità locale di origine canossana. Non si trattò di una svolta repentina, bensì di un affinamento di esperienze costruttive già avviate nel secolo precedente proprio dagli esponenti dell'importante famiglia marchionale.

Pendekatan Beyond Centers and Circle Time (BCCT). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pembelajaran dengan menggunakan pendekatan Beyond Centers and Circle Time (BCCT) di TK Alam Kreasi Edukasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Keabsahan data menggunakan triangulasi dengan berbagai sumber dan metode yang berbeda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa persiapan pembelajaran sangat baik, pelaksanaan pembelajaran baik, dan evaluasi pembelajaran cukup baik. Kekuatan TK ialah perencanaan RPPH yang sangat baik sedangkan kelemahannya yaitu kegiatan main yang dilakukan tidak selalu menggunakan ketiga jenis main.

ENGLISH: The contribution illustrates the success of the Corpus Nummorum Italicorum, mostly through the analysis of the reviews which followed the issues of the various vo- lumes. These reviews seem to be free and fairly critical only in regard to the earliest volumes (published 1910-1917), while they tend to became merely rhetorical and hagiographic after 1922. This was probably the consequence of the growing role of the Fascist movement in Italy, which made more and more difficult to openly criticizes the authorities, among which the Italian king was the highest. A side effect of this attitude was that the amateurs and even the scholars tended to see the classifications and the dating suggested by the Corpus almost as a "revealed truth", what greatly hampered the Medieval numismatic studies in Italy for a long period.

Modena’s Estense Gallery houses a series of frescoes by Lelio Orsi. During Dukes Francesco III and Francesco IV d’Este’s rule over Modena and Reggio, these would originally have been found in the Rocca di Novellara. Given their fragmentary state, it has been difficult to decipher the frescoes and impossible to identify with any certainty their original location or chronology. The paper places them in two distinct categories, classifying the monochrome friezes and the depiction of the Rape of Ganymede as part of a single cycle. This is thought to have been commissioned by Countess Costanza da Correggio and was probably dedicated to the constellation Aquarius. Fresh light is shed on the other frescoes, which portray narratives from the first book of Ovid’s Metamorphoses. These once formed a single piece, possibly from a 'camerino' of Alfonso Gonzaga, Count of Novellara and Bagnolo, and the son of Countess Costanza.

Quando l’Italia entra in guerra nel 1915, il tasso di analfabetismo è ancora altissimo. In Sicilia, una persona su due non sa leggere e scrivere. La popolazione parla quasi esclusivamente dialetto. Per affrontare il trauma dell’esperienza bellica e la lontananza dai propri affetti, l’intera popolazione si affida alla corrispondenza epistolare. Durante la Prima guerra mondiale vengono spedite quasi quattro miliardi di lettere e cartoline: le masse popolari si appropriano della pratica della scrittura e allo stesso tempo della lingua nazionale.
In questo libro viene pubblicato l’epistolario Di Raimondo, una famiglia di contadini siciliani semi-analfabeti. I soldati al fronte e la famiglia a casa intessono una fitta corrispondenza durante la guerra (oltre duecento testi scritti da una quindicina di scriventi). Questo ricco materiale empirico permette un’analisi sociolinguistica approfondita dell’italiano popolare, vale a dire la varietà sociale dell’italiano scritta e parlata da chi ha scarsa istruzione e il dialetto come madrelingua.
L’analisi dell’italiano popolare prende in considerazione innanzitutto la grafia (capitolo I), riflettendo in particolare sul fenomeno dell’ipercorrettismo e sull’emergere della competenza grafica e scritturale. Si analizza poi il lessico (capitolo II), esaminando i fenomeni di contatto tra italiano e dialetto, e descrivendo vari tipi di costruzioni e di processi di formazione di parola. Successivamente sono approfondite la morfologia e la sintassi (capitolo III), con particolare riferimento alla distinzione tra i meccanismi di interferenza e semplificazione. Infine, l’analisi di testualità e pragmatica (capitolo IV) permette di comprendere più a fondo l’epistolografia popolare, in particolare: la sua architettura testuale, il suo valore di azione sociale e comunicativa, e il suo profilo intermedio tra oralità e scrittura.

When Italy entered the war in 1915, the illiteracy rate was still very high. In Sicily, one out of two people couldn't read or write. The population spoke almost exclusively in the local language, Sicilian. Nonetheless, in order to cope with the trauma of the war experience, the entire population relied on epistolary correspondence. During the First World War, nearly four billion letters and postcards were sent in Italy: the masses embraced the practice of writing and the national language, at the same time. This book publishes the correspondence of the Di Raimondo family, semi-literate Sicilian peasants. Soldiers at the front and families at home maintained a dense correspondence during the war (over two hundred texts, written by fifteen writers). This rich empirical data allows for an in-depth sociolinguistic analysis of so-called "Popular Italian", namely the social variety of Italian written and spoken by those with limited education, and dialect as their mother tongue. The analysis of popular Italian first considers the graphic features (Chapter I), particularly reflecting on hypercorrection phenomena and the emergence of graphic and scriptural competence. Then, the lexicon is analyzed (Chapter II), examining phenomena of contact between Italian and Sicilian, and describing various types of constructions and word formation processes. Morphology and syntax are then explored in depth (Chapter III), with particular reference to the distinction between interference and simplification. Finally (Chapter IV), the analysis of textuality and pragmatics allows for a deeper understanding of popular epistolography, particularly its textual architecture, its value as social and communicative action, and its intermediate profile between orality and writing.

The Montessori curriculum is a different learning approach from conventional educational methods. This method is increasingly popular because it is considered to help children explore various activities and increase their potential. At some point, these learning activities will be tailored to the interests and talents of the child.

In this paper, we give a flavour of how, against the odds, Reggio-Emilia-inspired pedagogical documentation can work in reconceptualizing environmental education, reconfiguring child subjectivity and provoking an ontological shift from autopoiesis to sympoiesis in teacher education. Working posthuman(e)ly and transdisciplinarily across three foundation phase teacher education courses at a university in South Africa, we situate our teaching within current environmental precarities. We show how we stirred up trouble in and outside our university classroom and provoked our students to “make kin” with children, each other, other animals, and the more-than-human, but also to stay with the trouble, that is, to learn to be truly present in colonized spaces.

World autonomy refers to the ability of an individual to control his own behaviour and not be influenced by outside control. It also refers to self-rule. Autonomy is considered the most essential issue nowadays in the education system. Autonomy is essential for the teachers' learners and policymakers in order to bring the desired output through the teaching-learning process as the primary stakeholders, such as the teachers and the learners are directly participating in the process It is necessary to have autonomy for them the most. Here the investigator has gone through over 30 research documents collected from various open sources and meta-analysed it. The objective of the study is, to study the influence of teachers' autonomy on pupils' achievement at the secondary level. In order to study that, the investigator has analysed the collected reviews of related literature based on three questions such as, what is the status of the autonomy of school teachers at the secondary level? What is the level of autonomy enjoyed or available to school teachers at the secondary level? and how does teachers' autonomy influence pupil achievement? The investigator found that autonomy is most important in the teaching-learning process and nowadays school teachers are enjoying autonomy to some extent. Teacher's autonomy has a positive correlation with learners' achievement levels.

L'Ars Canusina, tipologia di ricamo propria di Reggio Emilia, nasce nell'Ospedale Psichiatrico S. Lazzaro grazie all'impegno del medico Maria Bertolani Del RIo agli inizi degli anni '30 del XX secolo. Il saggio prova a metterne in luce le caratteristiche e l'altalenante fortuna, dall'esperienza ergoterapica per i giovanissimi degenti della Colonia "A. Marro", alla parentesi della commercializzazione dei prodotti della catena "Mamma Galassi", fino alla riscoperta con il Circolo Culturale Reggio RIcama agli inizi degli anni '90 del Novecento.
