The results of the investigation of the Tobolsk nobleman I. Polozov are considered, held in 1695 as a result of the complaints of the Trans-Ural Bashkirs on the seizure of their land and constructions on them of Russian slobodas and forts. The novelty of the research is seen in the fact that the author used the materials previously not introduced into scientific circulation. These materials provide different evaluation of some of the long-known documents. The relevance of the study is determined by greater interest in ethnic and social history of Russia as a whole, and specifically of the Urals and Trans-Urals. Attention is paid to the general situation in the Urals and Siberia, formed by that time. The re¬sults of a comparative analysis of previously published and newly discovered documents are presented, which contain information on developments from the Bashkirs filing of the complaint until a decision on the results of the investigation of I. Polozov. In article it is proved that the materials of the investigation of I. Polozov, in the part which concerns the history of the emergence of the Bashkirs in the Urals, are a result of manipulation of the leadership of the Siberian order and use biased questions during the survey.

‘Illegal’ Correspondence as Part of Russian-German Contacts in the Language of Legal Texts Exchanged between the Moscow Prikaz and the Imperial Chancellery in Vienna in the Late 17-th. Century.

SUMMARY

The aim of this archive-based study is to trace the penetration of the Russian legal language by Western wordstock, usually associated with the time of Peter I’s reforms, down to communicative channels and specific genres of legal texts, as well as to propose a more accurate dating.
An overview of the sources of the Russian State Archive for Old Acts (РГАДА) shows, that it was the everyday correspondence between Vienna and Moscow that conveyed German influence to the style of Russian legal writing, while top official documents from the German Imperial court were mostly Latin. Among the German-written texts, secret reports of the interpreter at the court in Vienna and informer in the Russian service, deserve special attention as a corpus with great and yet so far unrecognized soziolinguistic and communicative potential. Carefully studied, processed and translated by the Prikaz, they were submitted to the Moscow authorities, including the czar, thus affecting the usage of both professional scribes and influential statesmen.
Via this administrative intercourse loanwords like компания, фортификация, кавалерия, бомбардир, армия, ретироваться, etc., were made available to the Russian language through the activity of schribes and 15-20 year earlier, than was believed by lexicographers, who traditionally ascribed them to Peter himself or to prominent literary authors.

Inmerso en las corrientes culturales nobiliarias de la segunda mitad del siglo XVII, don Melchor de Navarra y Rocafull, duque de la Palata, aprovechó su paso como virrey del Perú para hacerse propietario de una colección de lienzos y láminas considerable. Esta galería, que no ha sobrevivido hasta la actualidad, se compuso casi exclusivamente de producciones americanas, pues así lo atestiguan los registros del Archivo General de Indias, pero el fallecimiento del duque en su travesía de vuelta a España dejó abierta cuestiones importantes sobre la misma como si iba a ser destinada a su residencia o si se trataba de un negocio mercantil.

Don Melchor de Navarra y Rocafull, Duke of La Palata, immersed in the cultural forms of nobility in the second half of the seventeenth century, used his nomination as viceroy of Peru to become owner of a large collection of paintings and engravings. This gallery, which has not survived until today, was composed almost exclusively of American productions, as it is documented by the records of the General Archive of The Indies (Seville); but the death of the Duke in trip back to Spain left open important questions about this collection as if it would be intended for decoration of his residence or whether there was a commercial operation.

В статье пересмотрена датировка Казанской церкви. Оказалось, что она построена не в 1693, а в 1746 году. Доказано, что она создана в русле подчеркнуто архаизирующего течения в русской архитектуре XVIII века. Суть этого течения заключается в следовании традициям архитектуры XVII века, а не своего времени.

RÉSUMÉ
Très peu fournies en matière d’interprétation, les partitions qui nous ont été transmises concernant le répertoire de la musique de scène au temps de Louis XIV, aussi bien pour les théâtres chantés (Opéra) que parlés (Comédies Française et Italienne), posent de multiples problèmes dès lors que l’on s’intéresse à leur restitution et à leur exécution musicale. La répartition des effectifs, l’instrumentation même de l’orchestre, ou le traitement de la basse continue (réalisée ou non), sont autant de questions qui, à la lecture seule de la partition, restent bien souvent sans réponse et offrent par conséquent une marge de liberté considérable à l’interprète qui s’intéresse par exemple aux œuvres de Lully, Charpentier, Beauchamps, ou Gillier.
Parmi les sources d’archives à disposition du musicologue et de l’interprète soucieux de retrouver les usages musicaux en œuvre sur la scène de ces théâtres, les archives de la Comédie-Française sont particulièrement intéressantes. Très peu exploitées jusqu’à présent, et issues des troupes de Molière, du Théâtre Guénégaud et de la Comédie-Française, ces sources d’archives contiennent en effet un très grand nombre d’informations au sujet de l’instrumentation et des effectifs musicaux utilisés pour l’exécution de la musique de scène entre 1660 et 1715, et c’est autour de ce fonds que nous souhaiterions nous attacher dans le cadre de cette communication. Tout en mettant en lumière les différentes pratiques musicales en usage pour l’exécution de ce répertoire (selon qu’il s’agit par exemple de musique vocale ou de musique à danser), ces sources révèlent également l’importance des notions de « convenance » et de « contexte » qui entrent en jeu pour l’exécution de cette musique, et qui permettent en même temps d’interroger l’espace de liberté laissé actuellement à l’interprète face à ces partitions.

The public activity of Aleksander Koniecpolski in the period prior to Chmielnicki’s Uprising was focused mainly on military activity. Based on his biography it can be assumed that his father highlighted military matters in the education of his son. The father even by himself made the son more acquainted with war and army. His parliament activity was limited to sending letters summoning nobles to meetings and at the same time asking to support his affairs. In the army he was said to have rather average credit mainly granted by the respect to his father’s activity since up to 1648 Aleksander did not accomplish any significant feats in the military

В статье рассмотрена история воссоздания архитектурного облика Албазинского острога - первого русского города в Приамурье. Прослежена роль В. И. Кочедамова в создании первой графической реконструкции этого оборонительного сооружения, отмечено значение введенных им в научный оборот ранее не известных «росписных списков». Это исследование дополнено новыми данными позволяющими более точно реконструировать внешний вид ряда сооружений Албазинского острога.

RESUMEN
El presente estudio se centra en uno de los factores esenciales de la política internacional de la Monarquía Hispánica en el Mediterráneo durante el reinado de Carlos II: la política expansionista de Luis XIV. La Monarquía Hispánica intentó mantener la presencia española en Italia frente a las tentativas de Luis XIV con el fin de evitar su alianza con la Santa Sede y los potentados italianos. De este modo, se analizarán las negociaciones que los embajadores españoles llevaron a cabo con el Papado para acordar una Liga de Italia contra el rey francés.

ABSTRACT This study is focused on one of the most important factors of the international policy of the Hispanic Monarchy in the Mediterranean during the reign of Charles II: the expansionist policy of Louis XIV. The Hispanic Monarchy attempted to maintain the Spanish presence in Italy during Louis XIV's expansionist undertakings with a view to preventing his alliance with the Holy See and the Italian Kingdoms. Thus, we will analyse the negotiations between Spanish ambassadors and the Papacy aimed at creating a League of Italy in opposition to the King of France.

Un día como hoy se termina de elaborar la Ley de Habeas Corpus, que entró en vigencia efectiva recién el 12 de julio del mismo año, para toda Gran Bretaña y sus territorios de ultramar, mediante la cual cualquier persona privada de libertad podrá dirigirse a un juez para que, o bien sea puesta en libertad, o bien para que los acusadores prueben que hay razones suficientes para el arresto. Importante institución garantista que Inglaterra desarrolló desde el siglo XIII, pero que la modificó en beneficio de todos los ciudadanos. Con la dación de esta norma Inglaterra se puso a la cabeza de la protección de las libertades individuales al aprobar el Parlamento el "Habeas Corpus Act". Esta garantía ganada a los monarcas tuvo su origen en la mítica Carta Magna de Juan sin Tierra del 15 de junio de 1215.

Рассмотрены особенности записи крестьян в служилые люди в конце XVI века в условиях отмены норм Юрьева дня. В рассматриваемый период времени на южной окраине России возводились новые крепости. Их население было представлено служилыми людьми разных социальных групп, главным образом, городовыми казаками и стрельцами. Правительство разрешало брать на службу крестьян, которые были готовы поменять свой
социальный статус. Показаны специальные правила записи крестьян в служилые люди, а также рассмотрены особенности организации их службы первое время в гарнизоне крепости

According to Russian residents V.M. Tyapkin and P.B. Voznitsyn’s papers of 1670s and 1680s, in this article the etymology of some words have been corrected and updated, such as “assignation”, “dame”, “cavalcade”, “cavalry”, “catafalque”, “lackey”, “officer”, “pact”, “parole”, “private”, “provincial”, “regent” and etc. Having compared several historical materials with the dictionary units, the author proved that these words had been used in the Russian language before the end of the 17th and the beginning of the 18th centuries, e.g. before Peter the Great’s cultural reforms.

A collection of scholarly articles based on papers read at the International Conference Lithuania–Poland–Sweden: European Dynastic Unions and Historical-Cultural Ties, which was dedicated to the 450th anniversary of wedding of John Vasa and Catherine Jagiellon (1562–2012), and which took place on 4–5 October 2012 at National Museum – Palace of the Grand Dukes of Lithuania.

Ce dossier, dirigé par Nathalie Grande, Claudine Nédelec et Julie Piront, est issu d’une journée d’études organisée par la SIÉFAR le 17 mars 2018, intitulée Femmes et mécénat, du Moyen Âge à la fin de l’Ancien Régime. Il avait semblé opportun à la SIÉFAR de participer au mouvement assez récent d’exploration et de mise en valeur de la part prise depuis longtemps par les femmes aussi bien dans la protection des créateurs/créatrices que dans la mise en œuvre et le financement de réalisations littéraires, artistiques et religieuses.
Cette journée d’études a été rendue possible grâce au généreux soutien de la Fondation Florence Gould ; c’est à la regrettée Danielle Haase-Dubosc, qui avait initié ce projet et œuvré à sa réalisation en tant que vice-présidente de la SIÉFAR, qu’elle a été dédiée : c’est aussi à elle que ce dossier rend modestement hommage, en publiant un de ses derniers travaux.

Following a well-established tradition from the nineteenth century onwards, historians of the Spanish Monarchy have considered the 1640s as the major turning point in a long phase of an irremediable decline. The decisive decade would have then precipitated the dismantling of the Spanish Empire. Such a phenomenon was attributed to the failure of State centralization, in stark contrast to what happened in France. The provincial revolutions of Mexico, Catalonia, Portugal, Sicily and Naples has been interpreted as a peripheral resistance movement to the centralization promoted by the Count-Duke of Olivares. An opposite argument is now being made as it turns out that the crisis was actually caused by the inadequacies of the vice-regal system and an excessive decentralization. Far from being a reaction against a greater intrusion of Madrid in Mexico, Barcelona, Lisbon, Palermo and Naples, the crisis stemmed rather from the disengagement of the metropolis. The Count-Duke’s policy was to transform the Spanish monarchy into a confederate state of Viceroyalties under the Madrid guardianship. However, the weakness of the links between its rticle on members led the independence of Portugal and many other uprisings elsewhere. Far from rejecting the king, most subjects asked for a stronger royal presence and the dismissal of the compromised governors who were supposed to represent him.

Es poco lo que se conoce realmente sobre los hermanos Alfonso y Gaspar Rodríguez Pasariño –ambos cristianos nuevos de origen portugués– antes de 1618, año en que comenzaron las que serían unas extensas actividades mercantiles desde su sede en Sevilla, enmarcados dentro del auge de los portugueses en la Monarquía Hispánica, en el llamado “siglo portugués” por autores como Pulido Serrano. Sin embargo, las crecientes actividades de los hermanos Pasariño no se ceñirían solo al comercio con América y los principales puertos europeos, tales como Amberes o Ámsterdam. Su amplia red socioeconómica, que incluía importantes mercaderes –Esteban Luis Diamante o Manuel Nuñez Mercado–, arrendadores de rentas reales –por ejemplo Simón de Fonseca y Pina– y algunos de los hombres de negocios más importantes de Felipe IV –Jorge de Paz Silveira, Duarte Fernández o miembros de la familia Spínola entre otros– les convirtió en un elemento clave como puente entre algunas de las redes socioeconómicas lusas –pero también genovesas– más importantes del momento. Sus continuos contactos con estas personalidades les permitieron actuar como corresponsales, participar en asientos y, finalmente, convertirse plenamente en asentistas, mudándose a Madrid. En 1646 fueron arrestados por la Inquisición, acusados de judaizantes.
Este trabajo pretende introducir las figuras de Alfonso y Gaspar Rodríguez Pasariño y, sobre todo, analizar la labor fundamental que juegan en algunas de las redes, sobre todo lusas, más destacadas de la primera mitad del siglo XVII para la economía del reinado de Felipe IV, todo ello gracias a su labor de conectores entre las mismas, de agentes y corresponsales y a su participación en diversas empresas económicas. A su vez, trataremos de estudiar los mecanismos y problemas a los que los comerciantes portugueses se enfrentaban en sus procesos de promoción social y económica, reflejados en los procesos inquisitoriales de los hermanos Pasariño y Esteban Luis Diamante. Con todo ello, pretendemos aportar al estudio e investigación del papel y la importancia de las redes socioeconómicas portuguesas, tanto en el plano social como económico, dentro de la Monarquía Hispánica.

II Congreso: espacio, redes y cultura en un mundo globalizado

Sevilla, enclave comercial desde época medieval, conoció su verdadero desarrollo con el descubrimiento castellano de América. A raíz de este acontecimiento, la obtención del monopolio de puerto comercial con las Indias de la Monarquía Hispánica llevó a Sevilla a insertarse plenamente, así como a representar un papel capital, dentro de la red de ciudades europeas más importantes en el comercio internacional durante los siglos XVI y XVII —Amberes, Ámsterdam, Lisboa, Londres o Ruan por mencionar algunas—. Este desarrollo llamó cada vez un mayor número de comerciantes extranjeros a asentarse en Sevilla, conformando comunidades que interactuaban entre sí. Uno de los grupos que más peso adquirió fue el de los portugueses. Este trabajo se centrará en algunos de los miembros más destacados de la comunidad portuguesa en Sevilla durante la primera mitad del siglo XVII mediante el análisis de sus redes y actividades en la ciudad. Personalidades que, gracias a las oportunidades que ofrecía Sevilla, no solo se convirtieron en grandes mercaderes, sino también en asentistas de la corona, colaboradores de los principales hombres de negocios de la época y puentes de conexión entre algunas de las redes socioeconómicas más importantes del momento.

II Seminario interdisciplinar Jóvenes Humanistas "La ciudad en la historia. Vida, poder y sociedad en el espacio urbano"

L'articolo vuole analizzare i passaggi ereditari della famiglia Cortese-Bellotti, dalla morte del pittore Guillaume Courtois (1679) fino alla morte del nipote Giacomo Bellotti (1792). Utilizzando materiale edito (il testamento di Guglielmo Cortese, R. Benucci, 2001) ed inedito (i testamenti di Margherita Cortese e Giacomo Bellotti, figlia e nipote del pittore francese), sono stati analizzati quali dipinti sono passati in eredità, quali sono spariti dall’asse ereditario alla fine del XVIII secolo e quali sono andati a « sostituirli » nella collezione di famiglia.
Guillaume Courtois (1628 – 1679), allievo di Pietro da Cortona, lascia in eredità alla moglie Felice Renzi tutti gli oggetti e le opere a lui appartenute. Tra queste figurano dipinti (a maggioranza non finiti), bozzetti, disegni, calchi in gesso etc. prevalentemente di mano dell’artista e solo alcuni dipinti e disegni di altri artisti (Brueghel, Ferdinand Voet, un Correggio, un Mola, un Sacchi..). Felice Renzi decide di mantenere intatta la « collezione » che si era venuta a formare con lo scopo di creare la dote per l’unica figlia rimasta della coppia, Margherita.
Guglielmo era stato legato alla famiglia dei Borghese per diverso tempo, famosa è la pala di Monte Porzio commissionata dalla famiglia all’artista borgognone. Il legame con la famiglia Borghese e la dote paterna, garantiscono a Margherita un buon matrimonio poiché sposa nel 1702 Antonio Bellotti, maestro di Camera della famiglia romana. Tutta la famiglia Bellotti, compreso anche il fratello di Antonio, Francesco, vivranno nel Palazzo Borghese per decenni. Nel 1744, Margherita muore lasciando la sua eredità ai figli: i dipinti di Guglielmo Cortese, a maggioranza conservati da Margherita, passano dunque al di lei figlio Giacomo (1708-1792). Questi, a sua volta legato alla famiglia Borghese come maestro di Casa, si dedica con passione all’antiquaria, di moda nel XVIII secolo. Cambiano i gusti collezionistici tanto che nel suo inventario Giacomo conserva pochissimi dipinti provenienti dall’eredità Cortese, al loro posto spiccano dipinti o copie di altri autori, quali il Padovanino e il Benefial.
