The study employed mixed method analysis by employing a combination of qualitative and quantitative approaches. The study evaluates the role of Indian online English news in constructing media narratives for the general public's perception and how it documented this zoonotic illness. The study emphasises the crucial function of media in spreading information during health emergencies and emphasises the necessity for precise, impartial reporting to direct public understanding and policy choices in the convergence of human and animal health.

This chapter examines the complex nature of data protection and privacy in the era of digitalization, with particular emphasis on the Digital Personal Data Protection Bill, 2023 (DPDP Bill), a significant legislative advancement in India. It will endevour to present an overview of the DPDP Bill. The new legislation is a significant legislative measure aimed at safeguarding the privacy of individuals in India, while simultaneously fostering the expansion of the digital economy. The aforementioned legislation was enacted by the Indian Parliament during the month of August in the year 2023, with its implementation anticipated to commence in the early months of 2024.
