Bene pats svarbiausias privalumas – tai instrumento pagalba isgryninamas socialinio darbo poreikis konkreciu atveju, tikslai, kuriuos nusprendžiama iskelti sudarant individualų seimos vystymo planą.

Challenges when many people moved their jobs from the office to home because of COVID-19 pandemic restrictions have put stress on employees’ daily routine and professional lives. This article investigated the experience of individuals working not at the office and disclosed consequences of occupational stress such as mental and physical exhaustion, social deprivation, decreased work commitment, professional cynicism, and professional burnout. The preliminary study was based on a survey of 202 employees in Lithuania who were teleworking from home throughout the pandemic. According to the results, it can be assumed that teleworking had rather negative effects on employee wellbeing, as many teleworkers tended to suffer mental and physical exhaustion and social deprivation when working from home within pandemic. The psycho-emotional state of employees seems to be a key factor influencing the intellectual resources of an organization in a period of uncertainty.

This article analyzes the necessity and possibilities for helping children living in families dealing with alcohol addiction problems. Based on two qualitative research studies, we suggest two goals for helping these children while stressing the importance of having suitable alternatives for counseling them at locations other than school. . The two aims consist of teaching children how to live with alcohol addicts and how to take responsibility for their own lives. The research also shows that children are afraid of being stigmatized by being associated with alcoholic families so social educators must carefully handle any group therapy at school. Otherwise, social educators must offer other alternatives for group counseling at locations off school premises like children’s day centres, multi-purpose community centres, parish halls, etc. No matter the location, social educators provide help by talking individually with children and their families, publicizing information about other social support organizations, offering community education on the harmful and dangerous consequences of alcohol abuse, and organizing proactive and preventive workshops to curtail the problems resulting from the abuse of alcohol

The emphasis is laid on the fact that alhoholism of one or both parents has a negative effect on child’s psychical, physical and social development. The authors point out that the main factors influencing child’s ability to remain sound in terms of psychical and physical health embrace his/her personal qualities, relations among family members and accessibility to social assistance; schools could establish a social club, where a child could emerge in safe environment, receive pedagogical, psychological and social support, and where leisure activities would be organised; it is important to provide free of charge after-school activities in schools to develop children’s life skills

Straipsnyje nagrinėjamas pagalbos teikimo vaikams, augantiems alkoholio vartojimo problemų turinčiose šeimose, būtinumas ir galimybės. Remiantis dviejų kokybinių tyrimų duomenimis, atskleidžiamas pagalbos šiems vaikams tikslas bei tinkamos pagalbos teikimo vietos parinkimo svarba. Akcentuojama, kad pagrindinis pagalbos vaikams, augantiems alkoholio vartojimo problemų turinčiose šeimose, tikslas yra išmokyti vaiką gyventi šalia alkoholiko ir prisiimti atsakomybę už savo gyvenimą. Tyrimu nustatyta, kad teikti grupinę pagalbą mokykloje gali būti neefektyvu dėl vaikų patiriamos baimės būti atpažintiems. Pagalbos grupes vaikams, augantiems alkoholio vartojimo problemų turinčiose šeimose, socialinis pedagogas turėtų burti už mokyklos ribų, t. y. socialinės paramos ar vaikų dienos centruose, universaliuose daugiafunkciuose bendruomenių centruose, parapijų namuose ir pan. One of the priority goals of future education is inclusive education. When creating inclusive educational environments, it is important to ensure that every child would have the opportunity to receive quality education together with his peers in the local community closest to him, in the educational institution closest to his home. This obliges schools to constantly monitor the quality factors of education and improve their readiness to accept all learners regardless of any individual characteristics, obstacles or arising difficulties, and to strive to ensure the effective education of pupils. Research shows that in many countries, including Lithuania, general education schools experience a number of difficulties in educating children with autism spectrum disorder (hereinafter referred to as ASD). It is appropriate to conduct research on good practices in inclusive education based on the subjective perceptions and attitudes of different participants. The purpose of the study is to r...

The article discusses the use of pedestrian reflectors as one of the essential aspects of self-protection. The analysis of the research results conducted in Lithuania necessitates a particular attention to development of pedestrian safety competence at school. Each teacher should be concerned about school learners' behaviour in the street and they should discuss the current situation. It has to be emphasised that only teachers' efforts are not enough to form child's behaviour model. Child's behaviour is, to big extent, affected by the society, which, unfortunately, is tended to create inappropriate rather than appropriate behaviour models. Such tendency was clearly demonstrated by the research into the situation of pedestrian reflector use, which was an integral part of the research "Safe Traffic Education at Schools". The goal of the research was to investigate wearing/not wearing of pedestrian reflectors and safe/risky crossing of the street among school ...

Teigiama, kad savęs žalojimo prevencija turi prasidėti dar vaikystėje, ugdant vaiko vidinę darną: savivertę, gebėjimą pręsti problemas, bendravimo įgūdžius, informuoti-konsultuoti mokinius ir darbuotojus, kaip elgtis susidūrus su savižalos atveju, bei pateikti pagalbos galimybes tiek mokykloje, tiek ir už jos ribųThe article analyses the opinion of young people (over 18 years old) regarding the spread of deliberate physical self-injury in Lithuania and their own abilities to properly behave in encountered cases of self-injury. The social assistance for social risk families in Lithuania is provided by child protection agencies, social welfare departments, family support and crisis centres, pedagogical-psychological services, care homes, various educational institutions and NGO's. One specific form of social support services for social risk families is called Children Day Care Centres (CDC), whose activities are based on a systematic set of measures designed to protect the social interests of children, to ensure social security and realize the basic needs. The aim of this research is to analyse the activities of CDC's in the context of helping to meet the needs of children at risk, who are also sometimes described in scientific literature as disadvantaged children. It is obvious that children growing within social risk families often do not have or have insufficient necessary skills-to communicate, to discover, to create. This significantly complicates the realization of needs of those children grow...
