This paper presents the quantitative research results of a comprehensive study titled "Current Profile of Older Adults in Castilla-La Mancha (Spain)." The study aims to understand and describe the characteristics of individuals aged 65 and above within this autonomous region, with a focus on the variables of sex, age, and habitat. A cross-sectional approach was employed, utilizing quantitative methods to collect data. To gather information, a customized questionnaire was developed to address the study objectives, covering various aspects such as sociodemographic factors, living conditions, leisure activities, social participation, and cultural interests. The survey was conducted via telephone, ensuring representation by employing gender quotas, age-group stratification, and considerations for habitat size. A representative sample of 1,065 participants was included in the study. The findings reveal a degree of homogeneity in the lifestyles of older adults, with discernible variations influenced by factors such as sex, habitat, and age. These results shed light on the diverse habits and experiences of older adults, emphasizing the significance of habitat conditions, social participation, and the aging process.

This paper advances the possibility of understanding social work as a hidden form of social innovation. This term has been developed in the last two decades in opposition to exclusively economic and technological innovation. Taking the ideas of von Hippel, George Mulgan, and others, you can define the innovation in Social Work as a specific one that tries to satisfy the urgent needs of the people. For this, two cases that could be understood as hidden social innovation from social work will be studied. Housing First project, developed in the United States in the late 1990s, will be analyzed. It is an innovation based on the complete rethinking of what a specific homeless subject requires, one that suffers from mental problems. In the second place Open until Dawn is a case of how to confront unemployed youth in a city in northern Spain. In this case, it was an NGO that developed a free time program with the participation of young people. As a conclusion, it will be understood that So...

The core of this paper is focused on establishing a Social Innovation Patent System for the coding, evaluation, certification and scaling-up social innovations. The system is framed under the Open Social Innovation framework. The architecture of this framework is built on three pillars: a) incubation modes, b) social innovation modes, and c) excubation modes. The dynamics of the model consist of three knowledge management processes: a) exploration, b) experimentation, and c) exploitation. The model has five practical implications: a) They promote the efficient allocation of public resources for social innovation, as they circumvent the duplication of social innovations by promoting their dissemination and exploitation; b) They facilitate the codification of innovative social practices and their scaling-up process; c) They raise the visibility and the social and technical appropriation of social innovations; d) They allow for the mapping of social innovations and impact statistics (regional and sectoral), and e) They contribute to shaping social innovation communities through the creation and exploitation of social innovation patents.

It will be understood that this innovation is not something that has happened in recent years because of the economic crisis, but rather it has to do with its own nature.

This article presents an evaluation of an intergenerational education experience at the University of
Castilla-La Mancha (Spain). For this evaluation, following a review of the literature regarding the
state of the issue, we undertake an analysis of benefits and disadvantages from the perspective of the
participants. Among the benefits we find that the majority of those questioned would repeat the program,
and that classroom atmosphere improved notably. Participants listed the exceptional nature of
the program and the teachers needing to make methodological adjustments to improve the experience
(the pace of teaching, adaptation to the profile of the participants) among the disadvantages.
