The study deals with the issue of property inheritance. It presents documented and identified immovable properties (house, land, fields, manor estates, etc.) as well as movable properties (household equipment/furnishing-kitchen and bedroom, cloths, footwear and jewelleryjewels, food and pets, finances and other items) in the last wills of the Prešov burghers from 1515 to 1535. The inquiry also focuses on documents from the diplomatics point of view and highlights the need to research historical situation in the wider historical and social context and to research mentalities and elite representatives in the urban environment.

The study presents a portion of the preserved documents that had formerly constituted the book collection of the aristocratic Zamoyski family from Stará Ľubovňa. It focuses on a number of the individual items, namely the prints issued between the 17 th and 20 th centuries, periodicals-their fragments, brochures, small prints and several variations that gradually became (as well as other more complex parts of the book collection) the subject of confiscation, some transfers since 1940s-1990s. The analyzed documents are kept in the present State Archive in Levoča, in the archive file of the Zamoyski family to which were transferred in 1990 by delimitation from the Prešov State Archive. The study focuses on their provenience, language, authors of individual works, their contents, binding and older rightholders characters, notes and library signatures in documents that prove the connection with the members of the Zamoyski family and their ownership.

The paper deals with content analysis of a source called as the book of income and expenditure of Prešov which was kept in the years 1528-1537. The source provides insight not only into history of administration (mayor, town council, council of a hundred men-centrumviri), but also shows development and price levels of goods and services, wages of municipal personnal and mainly shows the regular annual income (from sale of beer and vine in the town and its subburbs, Upper and Lower mill, clothier´s mill, the blacksmiths´ and cloth cutters´s activities, urban scales, from a weekly market, town property, town bath; from tithe of bees and pigs, salt chamber, taxes of tenants, etc.) and expenditure of the town (such as payment of older debts-outstanding debts, winegrowing, the weekly, curial and extraordinaray expenses-town fortification, giving the property as a deposit, etc.) in the mentioned period. Overall, the study follows the earlier research of the town books which are a valuable source and serve mainly for reconstructing history of town economy and history of everyday life at the beginning of early modern period.

An article presenting the issues discussed in the reconstruction in Presov (until theend of the sixteenth century). He draws attention to the presence – the influx of foreigners, the coexistence of many nationalities (Germans, Hungarians, Poles, Czechs, Roma, Jews and others), but also Slovaks, presenting toponymy, references, the importance of ethnonyms, onomastics, etc. Particular attention was given to three nationalities – the dominant among Presov residents– Germans, Hungarians, Slovaks, what found itself in its spatial space – topography, but also indenominational relations, i.e. in the connection of the so-called preachers of nationality as partof the Roman Catholic religion, and later also (after 1531) as part of the Protestant Evangelical Church of the Augsburg Confession. ‚e surveys made it possible to determine the nature of the newly adopted duties – their origin, activities and dealing in wine trade. Výskum prameňov k cirkevným i kultúrnym dejinám má význam aj v súčasnosti. Príspevok sa venuje sonde, a to predstaveniu identifi kovaných slavík v osobnej knižnici teológa, cenzora slovanských kníh a prvého  gréckokatolíckeho biskupa Prešovskej eparchie Gregora Tarkoviča (1745–1841) na základe katalógu z roku 1841. Poukazuje v exkurze na obsah, tému a jazyk ako aj podiel samotných dokumentov – ukrajiník, rusík, poloník, bohemík a parciálne aj slovacík v pozostalosti biskupa Tarkoviča. Pre rozsiahlosť problematiky je gros postavené na územných polonikách. Štúdia zároveň predstavuje aj pokus o ich fyzické doloženie v dnešnej historickej Eparchiálnej knižnici, do ktorej mali byť po smrti biskupa včlenené, ako zaujímavých pamiatok kultúrneho dedičstva v Prešove.
