AAWC Lesson Reflection (Completed after EVERY

lesson taught)

Select (S):

On Monday March 1, 2021, 10:35 to 11:05 AM I start my Science lesson with great 2/5. And the
lesson was about the four seasons. I present my lesson using Microsoft teams and Nearpod. The
learning outcomes are:

 Identify the four seasons.

 Identify “what clothes do people wear in each season?”
 Identify “what the season like?”

Describe (D):

I taught grade 2/5 students online using Microsoft team. It’s my first-time teaching
grade 2, it was an interesting experience and I think I did well, but I know that I’m
still missing some professional tips. Since it’s my first time using Nearpod my
personal goal was to manage my teaching performance well using the web. As I
said I’m still missing some professionalism strategies, but I think I did well in my
first time the students were following with me, there are few students who are lost
like Taif but she keep up with us and join middle of the lesson.
The rest of the class with following with me participating and answering.

Analyze (A):

Since this is the first time, they so me and the first time I introduce myself to them I
didn’t expect this much of respondence I was shocked and happy to see them
answering and participating with me. Opening camera was one of the main reasons
for the student’s response and participation in the class. Using a new way to teach
like Nearpod was a bonus for me they were participating more. Students were able
to name the four seasons and they also were able to differentiate features of the four
seasons. To engage students I add different type of activities and there was
matching pictures short quiz and time to climb. And daddy and I give them a
writing activity I tried to add different types of activities to engage them. I love
how they were in gauging and finishing their tasks or activities on Nearpod.
Appraise (A):

The idea of using Nearpod was successful from my point of view. However, if I
think I should practice more on how to use it I should prepare a PowerPoint
presentation as well to my lesson to make it easy for me and for the students to
understand how they can join near pod so for the next time I won’t lose one of my
students’ participation. I don’t think my lesson meet my teaching goal 100% how
weather however I will take my MCT feedback, and I will fix it and my next
lesson.

Transform (T):

As I said I think I still missing some tips but after I have meeting with my MCT
And listening to her feedback now I know what I’m missing and what I need to
focus on for my next lesson. I will make sure to have a good instructions and
introduction. I’ll make sure to tell the students are learning outcomes and what we
are going to learn. I will try to use my time wisely instead of rushing. I am I will
also use PowerPoint.
