DAILY
LESSON PLAN Teacher MAY ANN MONTERO Learning Area MATHEMATICS
Teaching March 20, 2023 Quarter 2ND
Date and 7:30 – 8:30 AM NEEMTREE
time 8:30 – 9:30 SYCAMORE
10:45 – 11:45 AM SPA
2:00 – 3:00 PM MOLAVE
3:00 – 4: 00 PM GOPHER
OBJECTIVES Objectives must be met over the week and connected to the curriculum standards. To meet
the objectives, necessary procedures must be followed and if needed, additional lessons, e
exercises and remedial activities may be done for developing content, knowledge and
competencies. These are assessed using Formative Assessment strategies. Valuing
objectives support the learning of content and competencies and enable learners to find
significance and joy in learning the lessons. Weekly objectives shall be derived from the
curriculum guides.
A. Content Standards The learner demonstrates understanding of key concepts of linear
inequalities in two variables, systems of linear inequalities in two variables
and linear functions.
B. Performance Standards The learner is able to formulate and solve accurately real-life problems
involving linear inequalities in two variables, systems of linear inequalities
in two variables and linear functions

C. Learning  The learner finds the domain and range of a function. (M8AL-lld-1)
Competencies/Objectives
(Write the LC code for each)
II. CONTENT Domain and Range of a Function

III. LEARNING RESOURCES List of the materials to be used on different days. Varied sources of materials sustain
learners’ interest in the lesson and in learning. Ensure that there is a mix of concrete and
manipulative materials as well as paper-based materials. Hands-on learning promotes
concept development.

IV. PROCEDURES
A. Reviewing previous lesson or presenting
new lesson
B. Establishing a purpose for the lesson The teacher will present a game and after the teacher will ask the students about their the
activity given.

C. Presenting examples /instances of the new 1.) What ideas or thoughts about the game?
lesson 2.) Any idea of what will be our lesson for today?

D. Discussing new concepts and practicing apply the domain and range in real-world settings, taking a function that represents a
new skills # 1 real-world situation and then analyze what the domain and range represent in the
function. This allows to apply the domain and range in a real-world setting.
E. Discussing new concepts and practicing Domain is the set of all the first coordinates of the ordered pairs in a function or the x
new skills # 2 values.
Range is the set of all the second coordinates of the ordered pairs in a function or the
y values.

Consider the relation {(0,7),(0,8),(1,7),(1,8),(1,9),(2,10)}.

Here, the relation is given as a set of ordered pairs. The domain is the set of x -
coordinates, {0,1,2} and the range is the set of y-coordinates, {7,8,9,10}.

The domain of the function can be determined from a mapping diagram by listing all
of the values in the column representing the input values. The range of the function
can be determined from a mapping diagram by listing all of the values in the column
representing the output values.
2

Domain = {0, 4, 7, 8, 10}

Range = {1, 3, 5}

To find the domain and range, we simply solve the equation y=f(x) to determine the
values of the independent variable x and obtain the domain.

Restriction to find the domain and range of a function:

The denominator of a function cannot be equal to zero

The number under a square root sign (radicand) must be positive.

F. Developing mastery (Lead to Formative For a table of data, state the domain and range.
Assessment #3)
