This article deals with the most important processes for all life and the biosphere on planet Earth-the global greening process and urban greening. It is written in English and in a very simple language to make it easier to understand. The article and very important paper will be translated also into other languages to explain and understand some things even better. First we will look at the concept and terms, later different functions, meanings, possibilities and potentials.

Global Greening and Regreening is the process of restoring natural ecosystems and increasing green spaces on our planet. This includes reforestation or afforestation, expanding vegetation in cities, and other measures to increase green space in rural areas. Global greening is important for a number of reasons, including because it creates habitat for wildlife, reduces air and water pollution, and mitigates the effects of climate change. It also provides an important source of food, fuel, and other essential resources for many people around the world. There is man-made greening and natural greening. Everyone can make up their own mind about it - but read more to understand bad, good and other sides or aspects. Today many talk much about 'green things', but green is not always green, most people should finally understand, because if we talk about green we mean mostly nature, environmental friendly things or just green colours – but nature is not just green and blue like most of the 'experts' and media say or write. It is much more and to bring some colors and diversity into these topics Greening Deserts became a new logo and works in diverse areas. The Global Greening and Trillion Trees Initiative shows also many aspects of nature and our colorful planet. Now read more why it is so important to understand how the worldwide greening process affects all life on Earth and what we all can do better.

Global greening is an important part of creating a better and greener future on planet Earth along with all life forms. To re-green and reforest the biosphere, nature is our greatest ally, everyone else who thinks they or their partners are or have "the solution" are lying. You can read here the best, only and really true solution - nature and many will prove it to you, as so many times before. Read more now about how the Global Greening organization began as a private and collaborative project, how it became a worldwide movement and finally an institution.

The Global Greening Project and future organization was founded many years ago as the main project of the Greening Deserts and Trillion Trees Initiative. The founder published many articles, innovative ideas and papers about the regreening and reforestation movement. GlobalGreening.org is and will be the main platform in the future, also for the development organization. The project is linked to Greening Deserts developments such as the global Greening Camps. It has long been a private initiative as part of the Trillion Trees Project. The Global Greening Institution wants to build an additional platform for Southern Europe and Africa, including the Drought Research Institute with its online platform DroughtResearch.com.

Here is another project work for all friends of nature from our lovely Greening Deserts founder explaining the importance of global greening for humanity and all other species. Nature and the forces of nature have supported the creation of this text, a person very connected to nature has written it. This article deals with the most important processes for all life and the biosphere on planet Earth-the global greening process and urban greening. It is written in English and in a very simple language to make it easier to understand. The article and very important paper is also translated into many other languages to understand some things even better. First we will look at the concept and terms, later different functions, meanings, possibilities and potentials. Global greening and regreening is the process of restoring natural ecosystems and increasing the amount of green space on the planet. This involves reforestation, increasing the amount of vegetation in cities, and other measures to increase the amount of green cover on the land. Global greening is important for a variety of reasons, including providing habitats for wildlife, reducing air and water pollution, and mitigating the effects of climate change. It also provides an important source of food, fuel, and fiber for many people around the world. There is human-made greening and natural greening, you can build your own opinion-but read more to understand bad, good and other sides or aspects. Green is not always green, most people should finally understand, because if we talk about green we mean mostly nature, environmental friendly things or just green colors-but nature is not just green and blue like most of the 'experts' and media try to tell you. It is much more as just a green thing, that's also one reason why Greening Deserts started the Global Greening and Trillion Trees Initiative some years ago.

The global program and project organization MethanStorage.org was started by Greening Deserts founder Oliver Caplikas in the summer, as he found the potential danger but also good potentials and innovative solutions of methane reduction through the permafrost problem and forest fires in time. In the run-up the WetForest project for wetlands was founded, including the sub-project MoorForest, which aims to establish more wet forests and forested peatlands, marshlands or moorlands that could significantly reduce global methane emissions from wetlands. This is because shading grasses, shrubs and trees in wetlands keeps them cooler and cools them noticeably during droughts or heat waves. Logically, this reduces methane emissions, and climate-resilient plants and drought-tolerant trees also help protect wetlands as global warming increases. The plants in wetlands are usually better adapted to extreme weather events anyway. We would be happy if German as well as European experts for wetlands, peatlands and marshlands join our projects like SwampForest or MoorForest.org.

More wildfires or fires in rainforests and southern wetlands are releasing a lot of carbon and methane, can make forests and wetlands sources of greenhouse gas emissions. Arctic areas are warming 3 to 4 times faster than the global average, further accelerating and increasing natural emissions. Warmer northern areas such as Siberia and the aftermath of the war in Ukraine have significantly increased global methane emissions. One should also not underestimate the share of the military complex and the defense industry, as this is much related to the fossil energy industry, especially the gas, coal and steel industries. The concrete industry and construction industry are left out here, otherwise this would go beyond the scope of the article and publication.

Agroforestry, forestry and agriculture with oaks and hemp can improve soils, biodiversity and water balance, that's why Greening Deserts launched the program Agrarhanf.com, Bodenrettung.com und Eichenwald.org. Oaks harbor and enhance biodiversity more than any other trees!

The contributions and projects are intended to support forestry and agricultural managers with useful ideas, impulses and innovative solutions. We recommend planting tree rows more densely in the beginning and then singling out individual trees as the years go by. In the beginning, larger trees can be planted and slightly smaller ones in between, which are then useful as replacements and for the region. This technique is very proven in Eastern Europe and the agroforestry is therefore also a kind of tree nursery. Agroforestry systems are less susceptible to forest fires.

Mitigation of climate change impacts through healthier and stronger ecosystems, higher soil and air moisture are essential for survival, especially with the increasing loss of cropland worldwide. Flowering trees and wildflowers on trees can attract more pollinators and important insects (beneficial insects) which, like birds, also reduce pests. Agroforestry is therefore one of the best ways to adapt to climate change and extreme weather events such as droughts.

Alternative tree species with nutritious berries and nuts as well as hardy palms can be found on Greening Deserts project pages and naturally on the Leipzig Palms Project. In the meantime, there are also plenty of suitable industrial hemp varieties, just read the official regulations for the cultivation of hemp in Germany. We recommend undemanding, tall-growing and narrow hemp varieties for the production of hemp fiber. Bushier sorts for more leaves and hemp seeds, such as for food and feed. Commercial hemp can significantly reduce nitrogen and methane emissions, this has been confirmed many times by international researchers and studies. Some hemp varieties require very little water and can improve long-term biodiversity, nutrient supply and soil moisture. Similar to lupines, hemp can also be used as a green manure, for example if there are times when yields or growth are not so good in individual years, the plants can be added to the soil after harvesting together with compost and / or leaves. For hemp cultivation, no pesticides and very little fertilizer are needed.

Europe's and the world's first vertical farming startup for threatened or endangered tree species as well as important crops or plants develops further concepts for energy and resource-saving species conservation, climate and environmental protection. Botanical gardens, national parks and nature reserves are invited to join the Greening Deserts Species Rescue CES-RPP, Greening Camp and the Trillion Trees Initiative and related projects. The emergency program and projects to save species, restore biodiversity and ecosystems need international support. The goal is to save more than 300 tree species from extinction by 2025 - for example through professional tree breeding, seed storage, distribution and joint tree planting activities. Some international species protection, climate protection, nature conservation and environmental protection organizations have already showed their interest. We are looking forward to new partners in the future to master one of the biggest tasks and challenges of the decade. Reducing species extinction by mitigating its causes and promoting global biodiversity is at the forefront, also in urban regions and cities! With the Urban Greening Camp, the Urban Greening Network for healthier and greener cities was launched - many have followed the good example.

Species extinction, climate change, environmental degradation from monocultures, forestry and agriculture are increasingly evident. Droughts and heat waves have made many impacts and causes clearly visible. The problems with old bad habits or systems such as excessive deforestation, draining, pollution, and destruction by agriculture or monocultures in rainforests or similar ecosystems rich in biodiversity and crops are complex. Yet solutions can be very simple - as explained in these and other articles. New techniques, technologies, products or services are not always necessary, but can of course accelerate and / or improve sustainable developments. Greening Deserts has over the years presented good solutions to many of these world problems - such as really effective developments and sustainable solutions to stop deforestation by monocultures. Diverse concepts for desert greening, tree planting campaigns, urban greening, vertical agriculture and innovative project developments like the Greenhouse Ship show great possibilities and potentials how to combine biodiversity conservation, ecosystem restoration, productive eco-agriculture and eco-forestry.

The Green Games and Trillion Trees Initiative develops innovative concepts and projects for sustainable IT and game developments. The future community platform and social networks will connect game developers, publishers and gamers together for global sustainability, climate and environmental goals. This will motivate and support especially species, climate and environmental protection actions as well as organizations. The actions, initiatives and projects also promote more environmentally friendly behaviour.

The founder of Change Games and Greening Deserts launched the first developments for the Trillion Trees Game in 2020 in Leipzig. The game is not just a simple tree planting game, AAA game or larger indie game development. It will be an online game and a platform with many games. People will be able to play mini-games and indie games directly in the game, and they can start other games outside directly through the game. If the games are played in the Trillion Trees Game or special actions and events are started in external connected games, real trees will be planted in the real world. It depends on how much and how long you play, extra tree points can be collected. Later, special tasks, actions, events, achievements and challenges will support special reforestation or forestation projects and conservation actions. Other tree planting, renewable energy projects, recycling actions and important environmental projects, organizations or even movements can then also be supported with appropriate support from the Green Games and Trillion Trees Game Community. Sponsors, grants, and innovative funding models from around the world can accelerate and improve the projects. So the platform and network can bring together not only the game industry and industry, but also some other important industries as well as climate, nature and environmental organizations. The media, culture, IT and global technology industries can benefit as well, especially industries like cleantech, greentech and green IT. Many additional jobs could be created.

The world's first nursery and vertical farming startup for endangered tree species was started by the Leipzig Palms and Urban Greening Camp project.

There are also good news during the crisis, such as the creation of a successful startup for urban greening, green and clean technologies combined with innovation and knowledge management. Urban agriculture and vertical farming as well as plant cultivation with hydroponics is traded by futurologists as the future of agriculture. This was also a reason to develop an extra Urban Greening Camp in Leipzig years ago and to build it up since 2020. In the run-up, the first tree and plant species have already been cultivated, including particularly endangered species. Herbs and medicinal plants will be cultivated in further grow rooms which are in preparation. There is actual no vertical farming company worldwide who combines biodiversity conservation, urban farming, tree cultivation and species protection.

The greening camps will cultivate many native plants and important trees for agriculture and forestry. Cities will be supplied through home improvement stores and garden centers. The camps will simultaneously serve education and training, development and research. Urban and vertical farming is being taken very seriously in some major Asian cities, and complete greenhouse buildings (Urban / Vertical Farming Towers) are even being planned. With sufficient support, we can also realize a vertical greenhouse over several floors in Leipzig. The Urban Greening Camp will not only cultivate plants under artificial light, but also with direct daylight. For this purpose, innovative solutions and developments in the field of hydroponics (aquaponics and hydroponics) will be developed and tested - barrels, canisters and water tanks are already available. A suitable building has already been occupied, and initial talks have been held with the owner. It is not just about endangered tree species, vegetables or a few herbs, but about professional greenhouse facilities, storage and logistic systems - which are also needed for some important species conservation projects. The Urban Greening Camp is a center for biodiversity and species conservation, not only locally or regionally but internationally! Many species conservationists, conservation organizations, botanists, botanical gardens and environmentalists have already been informed and invited. Berlin and Leipzig has many flat roofs, these should be used much more for rooftop greening and roof gardens.

Greening Deserts Critically Endangered Species Research and Protection Program (CES-RPP) started an extra project for endangered tree species to focus on the most important issue of global biodiversity conservation and establish more biodiversity in habitats and forests worldwide. This will also promote many other ecosystems, and stabilize as well as improve the atmosphere or air, biosphere, global climate and water cycle. The contribution of trees to the improvement of soil, life, air and water quality should be clear to everyone. There is as much life in a handful of soil from a rainforest as in hundreds of soccer fields, but not so much in fields and meadows. It depends also on the history and vegetation. The main focus of the special species protection project for critically endangered tree species is the building of special seed storage facilities (boxes and cabinets) and other innovative solutions in various areas. The exchange and sharing of experiences are particularly important. With the Urban Greening Camp we can store and preserve seeds professionally. In the field of Indoor Gardening and Vertical Farming we can cultivate many species of trees, especially for the European and Mediterranean regions. We can share seeds and plants with botanical gardens and professional nurseries around the world. Numerous international institutions, organizations, universities, biodiversity and plant scientists, and tree and forest specialists have already been informed about many of these aspects and projects in 2020.

This announcement and information of the new Greening Deserts project for critically endangered species can be shared worldwide. The project title is 1001+ Critically Endangered Tree Species Seed Storage and Tree Cultivation Project. The Trillion Trees Initiative will help to share the trees and seeds worldwide in the future, especially in regions where more biodiversity is needed or trees have become extinct or very rare. Some of the other Greening Deserts projects and special programs can also help establish many of the endangered tree species on which many other species depend. These special biodiversity conservation, ecosystem restoration, environmental greening, ecological reforestation and species protection projects can save millions of life forms worldwide. Healthy ecosystems like forests are habitat for countless organisms and can save many endangered insects, fungi and microbes. That's why Greening Deserts species conservation projects will focus on biodiversity forests, drylands, grasslands and wetlands. Urban greening and biodiversity in cities will be supported by the upcoming greening, research and species protection camps.

The Trillion Trees Initiative and connected projects like the Greening Camps want to  reduce negative climate changes, deforestation, droughts, desertification, land degradation, floods and global warming on a large scale - especially in human-made deserts, drylands and wastelands. For this, diverse plants and trees will be planted, for more biodiversity, to protect and support endangered species of each concerned region.  It is also interesting for urban areas, city forests and gardens. The worldwide greening process will improve not just the climate and healthy environments, it has a big peace building potential. Many scientists confirming Greening Deserts ideas and concepts
like to plant a trillion trees to reduce human-made climate change effects and global warming worldwide. With financial support the projects like the Greening and Research Camps could finally start with afforestation, greening and reforestation, especially of drylands or wastelands in Africa and Europe.
The project developers thinking about a Greening Foundation, Greening Fund or Trillion Trees Fund to manage the green finance for the forestation and greening projects, but also for innovative Cleantech and Greentech developments or projects like Agrophotovoltaik, Desert Bamboo Africa, Hemp Houses, Hemp Papers, Greening Coasts, Greening Drones, Greenhouse Ships, Green Ring Africa, Great Green Wall North Africa, Seeding Balloons, Seeding Drones and Transparent Solar Greenhouses. All these projects were founded and initiated by the founder and initiator during the last years. Strong future partners and investors for the ongoing project developments are always welcome! Help us to bring back biodiversity and to restore natural ecosystems or old landscapes worldwide.

Here are some very important information for you all. Uniting forces and
resources for a special Critically Endangered Species (CES) research and
protection program.

It's about Greening Camps, research, innovative developments, global goals and solutions. Greening Deserts projects like the greening and research camps will be platforms for Cleantech, climate protection, nature conservation, culture, education, environmental and species protection, Greentech and science. All camps can have a library, lounge and media room. Perfect to exchange with education, book and media branch, to experiment with creative designs, green building and sustainable architecture. Bigger camps will get an Energy Storage Park and even could be expanded to a kind of campus or science park. We have not much time to establish hundreds of camps, greenhouses and new special areas (on land and at sea!) for the most endangered species and keystone species of this world. It is similar as with other cascade effects like the permafrost and wetlands problem. If more keystone species like the bees extinct, even relative unknown or small ones, it
will accelerate the mass extinction and reach 'tipping points' in relation to the critical biodiversity loss is ongoing. The only way is to focus on this most important issue of the world and put it on the first place of all agendas, concentrate on the most endangered known species and find the forgotten and unknown keystone species with best of search algorithms, networks and intelligent systems like AI, Deep Learning, cloud and crowdworking, archive management and intelligent library systems.

The hemp plant is not only the most useful plant in the world, hemp is also a potential climate saver and can even significantly reduce global warming, climate crises and land degradation with appropriate applications. Greening Deserts projects such as the Greening Camps and research stations will use bamboo, hemp and other key plants extensively to improve soil quality and water quality.
The groundwater is protected by hemp cultivation, sustainable agriculture, organic farming and innovative water management. Only natural fertilizers are used and pesticides are avoided, there are many good alternatives. Different bamboo and hemp sorts can be used in almost every climate and under all possible conditions or events. Global hemp cultivation can generally contribute to climate, soil and water improvement as well as for a better cultivation of crops and a variety of afforestation or reforestation. The founder and project developer of Greening Camp projects has been developing these innovative and sustainable solutions for years.
Various greenhouses and research fields can be established together with the camps for education, research and product development, the projects also serve the climate, nature and environmental protection. At each camp can be special biotopes, botanical gardens, greenhouses and parks for endangered species - especially for cultivating or saving plants, insects and other animals of each climate zone or region. Climate protection, nature conservation, species protection and plant science are a few of the primary tasks.

Greening Deserts projects are cultural, economic, educational, scientific, social and sustainable projects in the field of horticulture, hydroponics, sustainable agriculture and ecological forestry - but also in the fields of clean technology, green technologies and renewable energy such as solar, water and wind energy. Electricity access, availability and reliability together with energy efficiency will be optimized at the greening and research camps. The focus is on education, sustainable developments and scientific research. Conservation, environmental protection and species protection plays a very important role, too. Main goals of the projects are to reduce deforestation, desertification, pollution and global warming on a large scale. Goals are also to improve the energy and food security, to offer innovative management, ecosystem and greening services. The projects will reform the agriculture and forestry with Ecofarming, Ecoforestry and Permaculture methods, technics and techniques. The projects can include each region and nation in the process, especially in relation to Cleantech, Greentech, environmental protection, a real Sustainable Infrastructure and Sustainable Investments - Green Finance and Sustainable Finance. To manage and to share better necessary finances a special Greening Fund will be established together with international financial institutions.

It is a real chance for the world, especially for Africa and Europe to reach faster the Climate Goals and more Sustainable Development Goals together with Greening Deserts international and innovative developments. The future vision is to establish a Greening Campus on all continents and several camps for all regions who need ecological, environmental and sustainable development services, especially in relation to ecosystem restoration and environmental services. Each constructive feedback and real active support is always welcome!

Plastic Fishing or Plastic Fishery could solve the worldwide plastic waste problem in lakes, rivers, seas and oceans fast and efficient. It is really necessary to clean up the waters fast as possible because of the microplastic pollution. The world do not really need new extra ships and wasting again resources like metals and plastics for this. The solution is to repair, recycle and upcycle old or current ships. Small and large ships such as boats, container ships and cruise ships could take a lot of plastic along their way, especially as many of them drive along coast with lots of plastic waste. Most of the worldwide ships could be upgraded in just one year! The Greenhouse Ship and Recycling Ship project introduced this new form of plastic fishing by upgrading new and old boats or ships with plastic fishing nets on the sides. The plastic fishery can become a complete new market and give the plastic waste a better value worldwide, in the end all would win. Humanity would profit, so like the nature with all their life forms, the poorest who collect plastic waste to survive, the sustainable fishery and sustainable shipping industry - who really will do something for the climate protection, nature conservation and environmental protection. Plastic fishers and other new jobs in this relation could be created with a worldwide plastic fishing market. It is not just a chance, it has really big potential and will create a lot of opportunities for existing companies, branches and industries.

Greening Deserts Cleantech Greentech and Greening Camps

All diese Bereiche bzw.

He informed institutions, organisations and even invited governments to join these projects and initiatives, as well as the Greenhouse Ship, Plastic Fishing and Trillion Trees Initiative. If for example each nation plants approx 2 billion trees, we the humanity could reach the goal to plant one trillion trees very fast and we could really cool down the planet on a large scale. It would also protect and save countless species which are endangered by extinction. There are many campaigns and initiatives in this relation and we all are connected to reach the global goals faster. We exchanged with a lot of institutions about it and many liked that idea.

Welcome to a new sustainable project for Greening Deserts, the world's first Energy Storage Park, Solar Park and Wind Park! We will combine renewables, innovative energy storage solutions, clean and green technologies in one area. During the years we worked also on the preparations for greening camps in North Africa and MENA region. Each bigger camp can have a energy storage park, solar park and wind park. The nations and regions who support us the fastest and the most (constructive and financial) will be the first can get such facilities. Sustainable education, developments and research in these fields are our primary tasks. #energystorage #solarpark #windpark

Greening and Research Camps for Surface Mining Deserts: Concept and Study on Sustainable Greening Methods, Greenhouse Management, Forestry, Agriculture and Culture Industry for Surface Mining and Post-Mining Landscapes. This is a pre-release of October 2017.

Desert research, research and development of sustainable greening methods, greenhouse management, forestry, agriculture and cultural industries are the primary fields of the concept and greening deserts projects. The greening and research camp with a greenhouse, office or laboratory containers or tents for the research and development of greening and irrigation methods is the primary objective for open pit mines. Secondary objectives, such as sustainable recreational use and tourism offers, can be realized during the operation over the years and are not necessary for the successful start of the research project and base camp in the opencast mining area or a post-mining landscape. This also eliminates all associated conditions, provisions and legal regulations, since for the time being no public recreational use or tourism operation takes place. Nevertheless, forward-looking considerations and planning approaches as well as extensive points on the areas or topics were worked out and summarized in this concept. Greening Deserts projects are always planned as long-term and sustainable as possible.

Further tasks and goals of the projects are the education, research and realization of a sustainable greening, management and cultivation of all kinds of poor, barren and dry areas, landscapes (drylands) or regions. That’s why the main project u.a. Greening Deserts, which treats not only typical deserts but all types of deserts, including open-pit deserts, concrete or urban deserts. This can all be done with suitable greening and research camps, wards and centers. In this work and in the concept possibilities and ways of doing so are analyzed and discussed on the example of research and greening camps for opencast deserts, mining landscapes or post-mining landscape landscapes. The research camp should be an encounter, education and communication platform in post-mining landscapes, internally for experts, experts and scientists, and in future also publicly for all possible visitors.

For a start, the greening, nature and research projects focus on nature experiences, important experience and research in the particular area or terrain. Everything is analyzed, documented and informed about interesting findings and developments. In the course of the project, interested and competent bodies or persons will be communicated – via existing and new networks, and then on site as well. In addition to well-known environmental education instruments and programs, the active experience of nature and creative forms of exploration and experimentation should also be researched and developed. Particular attention is paid to the practice-oriented work, if possible outdoors. The motto is: away from unhealthy, artificial working and living spaces. Out of sterile offices or laboratories. Out of the house or city, work and live in healthy habitats, in a positive environments of true and true nature or natural environment.

Extensive research results, discoveries, developments and experiences in all mentioned areas of projects can be exchanged and compared with international institutions and scientific institutions. Most of the information and results are publicly or online available and will be published according to their level of development or needs. This will further enhance development and processes and can really help problem areas and poor countries (Third World / Emerging Countries). The research results, experiences and insights form a cornerstone for space gardening or space research in relation to professional greenhouse management, even for desert planets such as Mars. Also interesting would be a Mars Research Station for surface mining or post-mining landscapes. For this reason, with sufficient financial support or funding, further developments and research should be carried out, such as hydroponics, such as aquaponics or hydroponics, solar greenhouses and special biospheres.

During the first years additional places, paths and paths for recreational activities or recreational activities such as hiking and cycling can be planned and set up. For this purpose, with sufficient resources extra vantage points, experience rooms, rest areas, shelters, actuation and art objects can be realized. This is very good due to a strong presence and good contacts.. Further information (texts, pictures, lists, tables, etc.) in the concept or appendix. This concept, scientific study, market analysis and master plan was writen by Oliver Gediminas Caplikas.

Greening Deserts is a cultural, educational, economic, social, scientific and sustainable agriculture project using classical greening or gardening methods but also new and alternative techniques like hydroponics, permaculture and vermaculture. Greening Deserts is an economical, educational, cultural, social, scientific and sustainable project to reduce desertification and global warming.

The project is in development, non profit, NGO (at the moment) and needs any support in this stage! If you can’t spend money but want help a bit, you can share, like and comment, give constructive advises, recommendations or suggestions. Contact Oliver Caplikas @ www.greening-deserts.com

General information: Greening Deserts or dry areas with sustainable irrigation and renewable energy. Using filtered ocean water, sharing systems overground and underground. Special desert plants can produce fast topsoil and create partwise shadows for plants around. Another great idea is to use bamboo water pipelines to reach dry areas or far regions. We have long time this idea now it is time to realise! We want to start everywhere it’s possible to get back topsoil, especially in dry countries like Egypt, Libya, Algeria, Tunisia, Morocco, Spain, Lebanon, Syria, Saudia Arabia, Qatar, UAE, Iran, Pakistan, India, China, etc...

The fields of horticulture, agriculture and forestry play a special role in the Greening Deserts research projects of the greening camps and research camps, so these areas are not only researched and developed but also documented and mediated. On the basis of practical and theoretical work and examples, old and new possibilities for opencast mining and post-mining landscapes are presented, improved and further developed. The first setup of the greening campaign in the opencast mine area of Leipzig (opencast mining desert), is to create a multi-layered garden and park with test fields for regional, domestic and country-specific plant species and special species from all over the world. In greenhouses, in addition to plant breeding (young plants, cuttings or seedlings), possible environmental and climatic conditions are also simulated, in separate areas, rooms or boxes. As also described in other parts of the concept, the focus is on the research and optimization of different types, types of bodies, lighting and irrigation methods. The improvement of soil production, soil quality and plant growth is another important focus. The processes (irrigation, light and nutrient distribution) can be further optimized through effective and economical energy and resource consumption. These are also tasks and objectives for the sustainable greening and management of all sorts of barren and dry areas or landscapes.

We call for greening campaigns and research camps for opencast mine and former mining landscapes. Innovative ideas and potentials for sustainable greening and research projects for post-mining landscapes and opencast mining (opencast mining) are briefly summarized.

• General desert research and studies on desert plants or vegetation
• Better drainage and distribution of surface, ground and ground water
• Education and training of a better understanding of nature and understanding, especially for the young generation
• Detoxification and detoxification of toxins and pollutants in the soil and water through surface mining operations and other environmental pollution
• Development, extension and improvement of soil production and irrigation methods
• Increasing the storage capacity, capacity and potential of soils, especially with loamy or other sealed soils and surfaces
• Good balance of technical potentials and future use targets
• Cultivation of medicinal and other useful crops in greenhouses and opencast mining areas
• Developing or researching of new and optimizing old farming and gardening methods or techniques
• Use of natural and artificial water reservoirs (tanks, ponds, reservoirs) for the production of various waters, e.g. Mixed, usable, mineral and drinking water
• Potential for events and events in the cultural, social and scientific fields, e.g. exhibitions, information events and music events
• Extensive and comprehensive information related to natural themes
• Extensive exploration and documentation of the opencast mining deserts and nature including the animal world, also microcosm
• Improve agriculture, hydroponics and permaculture methods or techniques
• Improvement of cultural, social and economic offers in the respective regions, thereby reducing the lack of employment and unemployment in mining and opencast mining areas
• Improved protection in extreme weather conditions, e.g. during flood catastrophes, storms and flooding
• Improvement of the water quality by proven and new water systems, overground and underground
• Reinforcement and improvement of the relation or connection between man and nature
• Water processing, filtration and extraction
• Future-oriented developments and explorations with the aid of greening and desert camps for all types of deserts or barren landscapes, also for deserts and desert explorations on the desert planet Mars

Development of Sustainable and Diverse Cultural Landscapes in Surface Mining Areas The Greening Deserts projects focus on sustainability and diversity, especially for greening and research camps in surface mining landscapes. The projects act lawful and forward-looking in the context of the experiences, possibilities and knowledge. Here are some important points.

• Vote and exchange with the relevant authorities, such as the nature conservation authority
• Other good or potential cultures, international developments and projects should also be integrated, through exchanging and sharing of experiences, research and development of better or new greening procedures and cultivation of potential crops for land and water
• Offers of social and cultural programs, guided tours, trainings, workshops and events
• Processing and offering a comprehensive sociocultural program with art and music, free of charge and paid
• Exhibitions from and for art, not just landscape art
• Observation, integration and creation of traditional cultural landscapes in post-mining landscapes, for example through typical healthy vegetation (mixed forests) and species diversity (diversity)
• Promoting the cultivation of flowering plants and protection of insects
• Botanical gardens or parks with plants and animals from all over the world can be integrated very well into extraneous natural areas or landscapes
• A good idea is to establish the allotment gardens (allotments) in opencast mining or surface mining landscapes
• Integration of schools, universities and other educational institutions in the developments and development processes
• Sustainable landscape and nature oriented recreation for national and international tourism with the best possible natural experience, cultural and artistic life experience
• Cultivation of agricultural or cultivated crops like bamboo, potatoes, hemp or cannabis – they are great plants for top soil production
• Connection of culture and nature with relation to forestry and agriculture
• Lectures, photo and film shows, information and teaching events

In the case of extensive interventions in the landscape and nature (protective goods such as nature reserves), an environmental impact assessment (EIA) is prepared, although this is usually only necessary if a spatial planning or planning procedure is necessary. The assessment of environmental impact should be carried out not only voluntarily and for the site search, but also for all projects which could have a significant impact on the protection of the protected goods.

Welcome to the official pages for Greening Deserts projects in arid or dry, hot or cold regions. We offer professional greening services and solutions for coastal, subtropical, cold and semi-arid areas nearby water sources like lakes, rivers, seas or oceans! The project wants to show what today is possible with professional greenhouses and greening or gardening techniques like Hydroponics. We always prefer Permaculture, also without extra irrigation, but this depends on the plants and environment conditions. Greening Deserts is a cultural, educational, economic, social, scientific and sustainable agriculture project using classical greening or gardening methods but also new and alternative techniques. Greening of deserts, dry areas or barren lands with sustainable irrigation and renewable energy. With the right (financial) support we can start everywhere topsoil is needed. Together with the people of each region we also can create parks, woods and forests, especially in dry countries like Egypt,

This is a draft for the Climate Smart Cities Challenge

It’s about Greening Camps innovative developments, research, effective solutions and implementation of the global targets in all
relevant sectors. Greening Deserts projects like the greening and research camps will be platforms for cleantech, climate protection,
culture, education, greentech, nature conservation, environmental and species protection. All camps can have a library, lounge and
media room. Perfect to exchange with education, book and media branch, to experiment with creative designs, green building,
infrastructures and sustainable architecture. Bigger camps can get an Energy Storage Park and even could be expanded to a kind of
campus or science park. A real sustainable energy and traffic transition can be accelerated and improved by the Urban Greening
Network! Even a more efficient transportation is possible with accelerating of AI developments, autonomous vehicles and green roofs
with solar panels and VAWTs plus other intelligent solutions we know. We can recommend tiny houses and autonomous driving
containers.

Since 2017 Greening Deserts sustainable projects like Greening Camp want to establish innovative developments like Agrophotovoltaik and Energy Storage Parks, Greening Drones and Seeding Balloons, Transparent Solar and Vertical Greenhouses. With the first Greening Camp and adequate fundings all the sustainable developments could finally be accelerated and developed on a high level. The projects were founded and initiated by the Greening Deserts founder Oliver Gediminas Caplikas, he informed and invited countless institutions, organisations and even many governments to join these projects and initiatives like the Greenhouse Ship, Plastic Fishing and Trillion Trees Initiative. If for example each nation plants approx 2 billion trees, we the humanity could reach the goal to plant one trillion trees very fast and we could really cool down the planet on a large scale. It would also protect and save countless species which are endangered by extinction. There are now three trillion tree initiatives or campaigns in this relation and we all are connected to reach the global goals faster. We exchanged with a lot of institutions about it and everyone liked that idea.

Greening and Research Camps for Surface Mining Deserts: Concept and Study on Sustainable Greening Methods, Greenhouse Management, Forestry, Agriculture and Culture Industry for Surface Mining and Post-Mining Landscapes. This is a pre-release of October, published in November 2017.
