Our research study investigated the primary research question: “What are the lived experiences of millennial women holding knowledge positions in South African metropolises that lead them to leave their organizations?” among 25 professional, millennial women in the main economic hubs of Gauteng and the Western Cape in South Africa. Secondary questions explored were: What the experience of resigning felt like for the women, the role of different identities in the experiences, and mechanisms that organizations could use to retain millennial women. For most women in our study, the experience of resigning was unpleasant; while for some, it was appeasing. This study also identified gender, age, race, dress-code, language, accent, relationship status, and country of origin as ideological identity-forming components that affect their experiences in the workplace. Organizational retention strategies identified were: (1) fostering diversity, (2) developmental support, (3) management support, (4) voice amplification, (5) enabling work environment creation, and (6) rewards and recognition. Based on the analysis of the findings, the effect of homogenous norms resulting from homosocial reproduction was then interpreted as the underlying essence of many of the participant’s lived experiences that led them to resign from their organizations.

Impacts of physical disability on an individual’s career development. Despite ‘career ’ becoming a somewhat nebulous term, career development remains a proactive and dynamic process aimed at meeting the needs of both the organisation and the individual. Although the limited literature deals with disability in general, rather than specific physical disabilities, it does suggest the relationship between career development and disability is complex and individuals with a physical disability still face discrimination through stereotyping and perceptual generalisations. There are several other issues relating to physical disability and career development which are identified from this paper as requiring further investigation. This paper examines emotional expression experienced by female principals in the Arab school system in Israel over their managerial careers – role-related emotions that they choose to express or repress before others. I employed narrative methodology, interviewing nine female principals from the Arab school system to investigate expression of emotions in professional life stories that they narrated. Findings indicate that the principals’ emotional expressions differ according to career stage; on induction into principalship, they are stressed, feel threatened, distressed and challenged. As they establish themselves in their role they are calmer, use more humour and more ‘correct’ facial expressions. At a more advanced career stage, they express empathy and compassion, and concern for the maintenance of educational achievements. Understanding principals’ emotional expression at different career stages contributes to the quality of principal-teacher relations in the school.

In post-modern society where rapid economic, social and political changes take place, career planning and management becomes more and more urgent every day. The mentioned changes are not necessarily positive or providing only all-round benefit. The environment becomes turbulent, in general sense; therefore it is natural that career environment, basically, is chaotic as well. Nevertheless, career for many people is, undoubtedly, very important, because it is directly related to life quality. Professional activity satisfies almost all human needs: physiological, safety, social, attainment, self-realisation, independence, autonomy and other. The efficiency of the mentioned activity and the ability of the personality to construct his career are closely related things.
Seeking to analyse university student position regarding career questions, a written form survey was carried out. The research was carried out between September and December, 2014.  The research sample (265) was structured applying a consecutive ‘bunch’ system. The respondents from three Lithuanian universities Klaipėda, Vilnius and Šiauliai, were selected in the sample. Professional career parameters were evaluated: career conception, the importance of work values and abilities, study influence, promoting and limiting factors and personal traits. The research is grounded on a mixed strategy, when quantitative and qualitative research approach is combined. The obtained results, based on qualitative analysis, about professional personal career promoting and limiting factors and personal traits are presented in this research.

Building a sustainable career in the creative industries is a challenging proposition. Creative workers face high levels of employment insecurity and limited career development opportunity. Those working in the sector must build discipline-oriented career self-management skills, while also finding ways to cope with the psychologically demanding nature of precarious work. Two competencies that contribute to creative career success are self-efficacy and career optimism, both of which support resilience and persistence in the face of career obstacles. This study used narrative data from 28 interviews across six creative disciplines to examine how creative workers who work within communities of practice build self-efficacy and career optimism. The findings suggested that, by participating in communities of practice, creative practitioners not only build professional skills that align with their discipline but also gain psychosocial support that promotes resilience. There is an opportunity, therefore, to enhance understanding of communities of practice with creative career development offerings.

Çalışan kadın özellikle kariyer gelişimleri açısından Türkiye ve Dünya'da cinsiyet ayrımcılığına dayalı engellerle karşılaşmaktadır. Kadınlar, bir çalışan olarak başarı ve yetkinlikleri ile objektif olarak değerlendirmek yerine sadece cinsiyet temelli engellere maruz kalabilmektedir. Bu çalışmada çalışma hayatındaki kadınların kariyerlerinde cinsiyet ayrımcılığına dayalı ne gibi sorunlarla karşılaştığı araştırılmaktadır. Çalışmanın amacı doğrultusunda, cinsiyet ayrımcılığının kadın yöneticilerin kariyerlerine etkisini belirlemek üzerine bir araştırma yapılmıştır. Bursa ilinde faaliyet gösteren işletmelerdeki kadın insan kaynakları yöneticileri ile yapılan yarı yapılandırılmış görüşmeler sonucunda, kadın yöneticilerin kariyerlerinde doğrudan bir cinsiyet ayrımcılığı yaşamadıkları, ancak bir takım engellerle karşılaştıkları görülmüştür.
Working women have been faced obstacles based on gender discrimination in Turkey and in the world at the point of career development,. Women have been exposed to gender-based obstacles instead of evaluating objectively with their success and competence as an employee. In this study, gender discrimination problems faced by women in their business life are evaluated. The purpose of this study a research was conducted to determine the effect of gender discrimination on the careers of women managers. As a result of semi-structured interviews with women human resource managers in Bursa, it has been seen that women managers not experienced precisely gender discrimination in career management but meet with some obstacles.

This study investigated the professional duties of a professional rugby league Academy Manager (AM) with the explicit aim of identifying bespoke development needs through the operation of the Talent Development Self Navigation Framework (TDSNF). This study adopts an original embodied pedagogy approach grounded in a critical realist view of the participant’s Talent Development domain. The paper presents a full description of the framework’s application as a case study example of the TDSNF in practice. Findings acknowledge how the facilitated TDSNF helped the AM reflect more fully on his ‘real world’ and ‘foundational wants and needs’ to co-create both an individual learning plan for himself and a TD development plan for his Academy team. Feedback on the framework’s content, structure, process and outputs was extremely positive. Significant implications in adopting this approach more widely for coach education and learning are then presented.

Often, in spite of having the right set of qualifications, technical skills and experiences, certain candidates fails to impress the interviewers during job-interviews. There is no denying of the fact that when it comes to finally secure a job; almost everything depends upon the candidate’s performance during the interview process. Therefore, besides recognizing the importance of interviews; it is also widely believed that with proper understanding, preparation and practice, a person’s interview skills and employability can be greatly enhanced. With this objective, this article brings forth a valuable compilation of 25 important interview questions and suggestions for their effective answering. Most of the questions selected here are basically collected and shortlisted through a process of focus group discussion. The questions are general and contemporary in nature and are mostly suitable for junior to middle-level management positions, across various private sector organizations in India.

This study investigated the relationship between job attitudes discussed in the literature on organisational behaviour and organisational psychology, and career plateau, a concept that has received considerable scholarly attention in recent years in the field of career management. Job satisfaction and turnover intention were used to represent job attitudes. The study was conducted to investigate how career plateau changes with demographic factors and measure the impact of career plateau on job satisfaction and turnover intention. Job satisfaction and turnover intention, which have long been studied in connection with various cause variables in literature, were associated, for the first time in this study, with banking sector employees’ level of career plateau in Turkey. Thus, this study aims to make an original contribution to the existing body of research on organisational behaviour and organisational psychology by investigating a new and highly current topic, career plateau.

Recent decades have seen gender and feminist research emerge as major fields of enquiry in musicology and to a far lesser extent, music education. While these fields have increased awareness of the issues confronting women and other marginalised groups, the pedagogical practices and curricular design that might support aspiring women composers are in urgent need of attention. This article reports from an international survey of women composers (n=225), who in western art music continue to experience a masculine bias that has its roots in the past. The findings in the survey were focused on income, work and learning, relationships and networks, and gender. Μια συνοπτική εικόνα μπορούν να μας αποδώσουν ορισμένες τεχνολογικές εφαρμογές που ήδη είναι ευδιάκριτες στο εξωτερικό αλλά και στη χώρα μας ορισμένες από αυτές.

RESUMO
O presente Relatório progride ao longo de quatro grandes capítulos que concretizam as
principais etapas de desenvolvimento do Estudo. O seu ponto de partida (primeiro
capítulo) são os paradoxos e contradições que assinalam o actual momento de evolução
histórica das sociedades, principalmente os que derivam da necessidade de adaptação e
de reflexão continuadas sobre os projectos pessoais, profissionais de vida dos cidadãos e
que justificam o objecto do Estudo — ou seja, a necessidade de capacitar os cidadãos e
as formações sociais em que estes se encontram organizados para assumirem
(sistemática e intencionalmente) a aprendizagem e a formação ao longo da vida —, o seu
objectivo — contribuir para o esclarecimento de finalidades, valores, estratégias e
instrumentos susceptíveis de admitir uma intervenção coerente nos campos em discussão
(a formação ao longo da vida e a gestão da carreira) —, bem como a opção metodológica
por um processo de exploração documental conducente a uma reflexão critica que
procura indagar o sentido e os resultados obtidos pelos discursos e pelas políticas no
domínio da formação (e da orientação enquanto sua componente integrante). Assim,
depois de explicitada e fundamentada a concepção da educação e da formação ao longo
da vida e suas articulações com a gestão da carreira adoptada ao longo do Relatório
(segundo capítulo), procede-se a uma análise e consideração crítica sobre as estruturas e
as estratégias que suportam as intervenções educativas, formativas e de orientação
(terceiro capítulo). Por último, todos os aspectos debatidos e pertinentes para a
consolidação da perspectiva aqui defendida serão sistematizados, integrados e
articulados entre si, dando origem à principais conclusões; são também apresentadas
algumas propostas que procuram apontar possíveis cenários de evolução para o nosso

ABSTRACT
This Report progresses throughout four main chapters which substantiate the Study’s
main stages of development. It’s starting point (first chapter) are the paradoxes and
contradictions which mark the present moment of social evolution, mainly those deriving
from the need to continuously adapt and think about personal, professional and life
projects and that justify the Study’s object — i.e., the need to empower citizens and the
social aggregations in which they are organised to (systematic and intentionally) assume
lifelong learning and training —, its aim — to contribute to the enlightening of goals,
values, strategies and instruments capable of supporting a coherent intervention in the
fields under discussion (lifelong learning and career management) —, as well as the
methodological option for a process of document exploration conducing to a critical
reflection enquiring the sense and results attained by speeches and policies in the training
( and career guidance as its inseparable component) domain. Thus being, after
establishing the framework of education and training and its links to career management
adopted by this Study (chapter two), follows an analysis and critical appreciation of the
structures and strategies supporting educational, training and guidance interventions
(chapter three). Finally, all the issues discussed that are relevant for the consolidation of
the perspective here adopted will be systematised, integrated and articulated among
themselves giving rise to the main conclusions; some proposals that aim to point possible
evolution paths for Portugal are also outlined (chapter four).

Ce Rapport se déroule dans quatre grands chapitres qui concretisent les principaux
étapes de développement de l’Étude. Son point de départ (chapitr un) sont les paradoxes
et les contradictions qui signalent le moment présent d’évolution des sociétés modernes,
surtout les Qui dérive de la nécessité d’adaptation et de réflexion continues sur les projets
personnels, professionels, de vie des citoyens et qui justifient l’objet de l’Étude — la
nécessité de capaciter les citoyens et les formation sociales dans lesquelles ils se trouvent
organisés a prendre sur soi (systématique et intentionnellement) l’apprentissage et la
formation tout au long de la vie —, son objectif — contribuer à l’éclaircissement des
finalités, valeurs stratégies et instruments capables de supporter une intervention
cohérente dans les domains en discussion (la formation tout au long de la vie et la gestion
des carrières) —, bien que l’option méthodologique par un processus d’exploration
documentaire conduisant a une réflexion critque Qui cherche enquêter le sens et les
résultats obtenus par les discourses et les politiques dans le champ de la formation (et de
l’orientation au tant que sa composant intégrante). Ansi, aprés être explicitée et établie la
conception d’education et de formation embrassée tout au long de ce Rapport (chapitre
deux) on procédera a une analyse et a un égard critique sur les structures et stratégies qui
supportent les interventions éducatives, formatives et d’orientation (chapitre trois). À la fin,
tous les aspects débatés et appartenant por la consolidation de la perspective ici défendue
seront systématisés, inttégrés et articulés, donnant lieu à les principaux conclusions;

In this study; the impact of career development programs in organizations, and organizational commitment
on employees' job satisfaction, and their role in increasing job satisfaction are examined. A survey is applied
in a sample group working in various industries. At this point, a questionnaire that consists of two sections of
43 questions rated on a 7-point Likert attitude scale is prepared. The survey was conducted on 204 employees
that work in different sectors. In the study, the data obtained from the evaluation of the survey results was
interpreted by using SPSS statistics software program. Results of the analysis indicate that career
development programs and organizational commitment have a partial effect on employee’s job satisfaction,
organizational commitment affects job satisfaction directly and positively, and career development programs
in organizations do not affect the level of employee’s job satisfaction. In the light of the findings arose, the
results of the study are discussed and recommendations for managers as well as academics are presented.

The task of studying the impact of social class on physical and mental health involves, among other things, the use of a conceptual toolbox that defines what social class is, establishes how to measure it, and sets criteria that help distinguish it from closely related concepts. One field that has recently witnessed a wealth of theoretical and conceptual research on social class is psychology, but geographers' and sociologists' attitude of diffidence toward this " positivistic " discipline has prevented them from taking advantage of this body of scholarship. This paper aims to highlight some of the most important developments in the psychological study of social class and social mobility that speak to the long-standing concerns of health geographers and sociologists with how social position, perceptions, social comparisons, and class-based identities impact health and well-being.

Kertas kerja ini membincangkan tentang terjemahan Career
Thoughts Inventory (CTI) di dalam Bahasa Inggeris kepada Bahasa Melayu dan melihat keesahan dan kebolehpercayaa
nnya. Inventori Pemikiran Kerjaya (CTI; Sampson. et al, 1996a) terdiri daripada 48 item yang direka untuk secara tidak
langsung mengukur pemikiran kerjaya disfungsi. CTI menyediakan jumlah skor serta perincian untuk tiga skala iaitu Kekeliruan Membuat Keputusan (DMC), Kebimbangan Komitmen  (CA), dan Konflik Luaran (EC).CTI menggunakan skala likert dengan jawapan dari ;sangat tidak setuju: (0)Sangat setuju(3) dan jumlah skor pelbagai 0-144, dengan skor yang lebih tinggi menunjukkan pemikiran yang lebih tidak berfungsi. CTI boleh ditadbir pada 7-15 minit dan boleh mengetahui keputusan dalam tempoh 5 hingga 10 minit. Proses terjemahan ke Bahasa Melayu menggunakan kaedah back translation
yang dicadangkan oleh Brislin, Lonner dan Thondike (1973). Item di dalam CTI diterjemahkan mengikut budaya dan nilai tempatan oleh seorang panel di Institut Terjemahan Negara, seorang pensyarah Bahasa dan 2 orang guru Bahasa Inggeris dan seorang guru Bahasa Melayu serta dua orang kaunselor
sekolah. Untuk Keesahan Muka dan Kandungan soal selidik 10
orang pensyarah dalam bidang dan 6 orang kaunselor sekolah
terlibat. Nilai keesahan muka dan kandungan yang diperolehi daripada panel pakar adalah sebnayak 0.837 dan kesemua
nilai minimum dan maksimunnya memperoleh lebih daripada
0.60. Nilai CTI mengikut konstruk adalah sebanyak .927
untuk konstruk kekeliruan membuat keputusan kerjaya, .788
untuk konstruk kebimbangan komitmen dan
.803 untuk konstruk konflik luaran. Setelah soal selidik diubahsuai berdasarkan saranan pakar, kajian rintis soal selidik dijalankan kepada 40 orang pelajar di sekolah menengah. Kebolehpercayaan soal selidik CTI yang diperolehi ialah bagi sub skala kekeliruan membuat keputusan sebanyak

This qualitative study investigated the lived experiences of highly sensitive persons (HSPs) to better understand the way they experience careers.  Sensory processing sensitivity (SPS) is the underlying personality trait and is present in approximately 20 percent of the population, equally distributed across gender and racial lines.  SPS is considered a non-normative personality trait in some Western societies and subcultures.  Thus, many HSPs experience difficulty finding an appropriate match between innate temperament and career.   
This qualitative research perspective employed semi-structured interviews with 35 participants recruited through social media web sites and snowball sampling.  Participants in the study were primarily from the U.S., but also from five foreign countries.  Participants were chosen based on answers to a recruitment questionnaire and Elaine Aron’s HSP Self-Test.  Major findings reveal a complex, interwoven dynamic interplay between nine major themes: (1) empathy, (2) childhood’s influence, (3) self-care, (4) a rich inner life, (5) creativity, (6) high sensation-seeking, (7) the sociological perspective, (8) the experience of work, and (9) the integral being.  The significance of this study is that it is the first of its kind to investigate this topic in a systematic, scientific manner.

The present study is aimed at empirical investigation of job-education match/mismatch amongst professionals working both in industry and academic institutions in India. The intention of the study is to investigate the type of, and the degree to which such a match/mismatch exists. Moreover, the research focuses on different aspects related to job-education match/mismatch. Job-education match/mismatch though is difficult to measure but by using traditional indicators like, satisfaction level of employees, their promotion ability, their level of earning etc., it is possible to overcome the rigidity of the topic to greater extent. Keeping this in sight, the attempt has been made in the current study to collect the opinion of employees to know the degree to which they consider their job and education matches/mismatches and its consequences on employee morale. The study also intends to identify various degree fields where greater mismatch is observed and the possible reasons behind it. The data used for the study has been collected both through primary and secondary sources and employees associated with industry and academics.

The resume, first designed and developed between the years of 1481-1482 by Leonardo da Vinci, has undergone a significant transformation over the years from a general letter of abilities and recent employment to a more professional and sometimes complex, document. Job roles today may require different sets of skills, responsibilities, and extremely specialized, unique work experience than the roles people have seen and applied for in the past.

The transformation came with the beginning of the Digital Age in the 1970s, creating the need for a more digital and technical approach to resume writing. It is now common to see resumes taking on many different forms, classifications, and lengths dependent upon the candidate’s desired role and career field.

Just a few decades ago, no one knew just how drastically the resume writing process would change. Now, with the emergence of ground-breaking advances in technology such as machine learning, artificial intelligence, blockchain, and the Internet of Things (IoT) set to explode in the coming decade, how will resumes look by the year 2030?
