Homossexuality and Education

This essay is a result of discussions about masculinity in student groups, especially of graduate students of theology. Many questions pointed out here are present in several articles and essays of this edition, showing the theme really  interests  groups of men, specifically future priests. The considerations raised by the students also represent the desire that such discussion may continue and make part of the theological curriculum.

O objeto de estudo é a discussão relacionada a transexualidade no contexto social e jurídico das políticas públicas de saúde no Brasil, abordando principalmente a questão do tratamento do indivíduo transexual na qual possui pendências relacionadas ao seu tratamento e sua identidade de gênero. Trata-se de uma pesquisa descritivo-exploratório, com abordagem a revisão bibliográfica de artigos nacionais de língua portuguesa, por meio de buscas efetuadas na base Scielo.

The object of study is the discussion related to transsexuality in the social and legal context of public health policies in Brazil, addressing mainly the issue of the treatment of the transsexual individual in which they have pending issues related to their treatment and gender identity. This is a descriptive-exploratory research, with a bibliographical review of Portuguese-language articles of searches carried out at the Scielo database.

WHAT JESUS WOULD SAY TO SAME-SEX COUPLES by Aaron Milavec

I am angry.

First and foremost, I am angry at the cowardice that kept me silent for over twenty-five years while I was being honored as one of the best and brightest professors at The Athenaeum of Ohio. I knew, from personal experiences, that the teaching of my church regarding homosexuality was a biblically distorted and cruel doctrine. But I also knew that no one who openly challenged this teaching could survive as a teacher and a pastor in my church.

This book brings together personal stories, heart-rending interviews, and five-years of collaborative research. My exposition of this very sensitive topic is divided into five chapters.

Ch1 Early Experiences and How my Mind Has Changed

I begin with my personal experience because, when everything is said and done, my personal encounters with lesbians and gays impacts how I register their place in society and in the churches. In this, there is no neutral starting point for me or for anyone else. No matter how many degrees one has earned or how many ordinations that one has experienced, no one can escape their personal experiential base. Anyone denying this is not sufficiently self-aware and cannot be trusted as a guide in addressing the issue of homosexuality.

Ch2 How the Bible and Cardinal Ratzinger Treat and Mistreat Homosexuals

I will now introduce Matthew Vines’ marvelous skill and disarming authenticity in probing the limits of using the Bible to discover God's hateful condemnation of homosexuality. Immediately thereafter I will unravel the dangerous flaws found in Cardinal Ratzinger’s arguments against same-sex marriages. This section will unmask the hidden fallacies found in the Roman Catholic and Evangelical Protestant claims to have found God’s point of view. It will also address whether my criticisms of Ratzinger’s Doctrine are rash and disrespectful.

Ch3 How John J. McNeill, Pope Francis, and the U.S. Supreme Court Safeguard our Future

Now I will use case studies to expose how authoritarian approaches serve to destroy communities and to defeat the very goals that their exponents hope to achieve. I will borrow healthy points of departure from John McNeill, Pope Francis, and the U.S. Supreme Court that enable Christian communities to reaffirm the wisdom of Jesus and to bind up the wounds of all our children. I even offer a healing balm for those who vigorously disagree with me.

Ch4 Nonviolent Resistance to the Christian Taliban

As I circulated my first three chapters, I heard from those who were disgusted with how certain bishops and pastors have resorted to using intimidation and threats in order to silence believers who support same-sex marriages. Those afflicted are, in most instances, justly angry and ready to take action against the menace of authoritarian fundamentalists within their church. It is for the afflicted, and most especially for the afflicted youths, that I have created this chapter on "nonviolent resistance."

Ch5 How Jesus Silenced the Fundamentalists

Our struggle against fundamentalism needs all the help we can get from Jesus. When the Gospels are explored, it is clear that homosexuality and same-sex marriages do not show up. However, what one does discover is how Jesus vigorously confronted Jewish fundamentalists in his day; hence, we, as disciples of the Lord, have much to learn from Jesus’ nonviolent resistance.

My book provides 80 pages of appendices that present church documents, human interest stories, investigative reporting, and proven methods to diminish the instinctual repulsion felt by straights encountering gays.

Preface

The origins of male love are lost in the mists of prehistory. In fact, they go back to the dawn of man, if observations of animals in the wild are any guide. Though same-sex sexual activity is widespread throughout the animal kingdom, it is predominantly a characteristic of higher species: the more evolved the animal, the more frequent its occurrence. We have no way of knowing what animals think of this topic. Humans, however, are possessed of speech, so that wherever a history of male love has survived, so have records of the conversations inspired by it. These debates have been going on, in various forms, for over two thousand years, so they are unlikely to be concluded any time soon. We might, however, steal a page from the arguments of our forefathers, and inject a little humor and poetry into our modern day disputes. Perhaps then the chase for some absolute truth will not be so all-consuming.

This dialogue was written in Greek in the early years of our era by Lucian of Samosata (a town on the Euphrates, present-day Samsat, in modern Turkey). It reveals to our twenty-first-century eyes idealism and prejudice; humor and misogyny; a sense of play, sometimes fair and sometimes not; and a seriousness leavened by lightness of heart. Before us are arrayed the trappings of philosophical inquiry, along with specious arguments delivered with great vehemence. We would be justified to conclude that many things have not changed in the past two thousand years, while we smile, or frown, at how much has indeed changed.

One thing that has not changed is the confusion often present in discussions of what is now dubbed “homosexuality,” which purports to conflate attraction with specific acts. Charicles, the fictional character in this dialogue who presents the argument against lying with males, argues against one thing and one thing only—anal sex with another male. His opponent, Callicratidas, defends the construction of male love prevalent among educated Athenians (as well as Spartans, Thebans, and Cretans) of his time. This was a chaste pederasty that consisted of the attraction, love, and mentorship between a grown man and an adolescent boy, but explicitly rejected acts of penetration in the relations between lover and beloved. This is not to say that somehow this “pure” or “noble” pederasty was in any way not sexual, or frigid. We can be certain that it was fully sexual in that the lovers surely enjoyed the peak of pleasure. Their lovemaking, however, consisted of acts that were seen as not debasing to either partner.

Thus the two opponents in this debate talk past each other, neither acknowledging the veracity of his opponent’s arguments. Callicratidas makes no answer to Charicles’ accusations, characteristic of his time and historically accurate, that many men do indeed abuse, dishonor, and harm their boy beloveds by penetrating them, in flagrant contravention of mainstream Greek morals. Perhaps that is because of his own complicity in such behavior, hinted at by the nature of his interest in the statue of Aphrodite. Charicles has nothing to say about an affectionate and constructive chaste pederasty that does not imply the degradation of both lover and beloved by acts of hubris, which in this context was not used in its modern sense of “arrogance” but as a technical term for acts of sexual penetration, regardless of whether they were forced or voluntary. Could that be because of his fixation on women and inability, or refusal, to react erotically and sentimentally to the beauty of a youth, as did the great majority of the men of his time?

The significance of the dialogue is best expressed in the words of the great classicist and male love pioneer, John Addington Symonds: “More than any other composition of the rhetorical age of Greek literature, it sums up the teaching of the doctors and the predilections of the vulgar in one treatise. Like many of Lucian’s compositions it has what may be termed a retrospective and resumptive value. That is to say, it represents less the actual feeling of the author and his age than the result of his reading and reflection brought into harmony with his experience”.

Hay que dejar claro una cosa. La homosexualidad es parte del paganismo, es parte del propósito de Satanás para alejar a la humanidad de Dios y llevarla a la destrucción.
A lo largo de las Escrituras, esto es lo que se evidencia: Homosexualismo incorporado a la adoración de Satanás. Y esto se hace consistentemente cierto es las tradiciones ocultistas de siempre.
Muchos no se dan cuenta de que las dos, la sexualidad y la espiritualidad, están íntimamente relacionadas. De hecho, para comprender la espiritualidad pagana contemporánea, debe verse en el contexto de una cosmovisión completa, un paquete total que afecta a toda la vida.
La espiritualidad del hombre, creado por Dios, incluye necesariamente el sexo. El sexo con placer, pero sexo atado a la unión matrimonial entre un hombre y una mujer.
Por ello es que el satanismo y todas sus creaciones “materialistas” atacan la sexualidad diseñada en el plan divino y la denigran pervirtiéndola y “liberándola”. Depravar el arreglo de Dios sobre el sexo es la meta de Satanás y sus agentes en la tierra. 
Lamentablemente, también, los líderes religiosos de la cristiandad torcieron las Escrituras y enseñaron que el placer no formaba parte del arreglo divino del sexo, y que la única razón de éste era solamente la procreación, desprovista del placer.
Por ello, tenemos dos visiones sobre la sexualidad en el ser humano: La de Dios y la de Lucifer, dos visiones que abarcan no solo el sexo sino todas las actividades del hombre y que se resumen en dos corrientes que, a partir del Renacimiento, se concretaron en las dos ideologías que gobiernan el mundo: el cristianismo y el Humanismo.
En las Escrituras, la homosexualidad junto con el sacrificio de niños figura entre las “abominaciones” practicadas por los pueblos que viven en la tierra que estaba a punto de ser conquistada por los israelitas. Notemos que Dios puso ambas categorías -la homosexualidad y sacrificio de niños- como algo moralmente detestable, en relación una cosa con la otra, y que quienes practicaran esto eran dignos de ser aniquilados.
Colombia no ha sido ajena a los intereses de la mafia globalista. Magistrados, jueces, periodistas, marxistas, artistas, ONG, dueños de medios de comunicación, empresarios y hasta líderes religiosos son fichas de esta agenda que está destruyendo los cimientos de la patria.

Os preconceitos e julgamentos morais relativos à sexualidade humana, especialmente quando esta foge à norma social, não deixam de ter repercussões nas investigações científicas, principalmente naquelas localizadas na interface entre a Psicologia e a Educação. A presente tese tem como objetivo compreender como as questões relativas à normalidade e à patologia estiveram imbricadas na maneira pela qual as homossexualidades foram trabalhadas por essas áreas do conhecimento nas décadas de 1970 e 1980, tendo como base empírica a leitura de revistas científicas paulistanas editadas nesse período. A escolha dessas décadas deveu-se aos conceitos foucaultianos de proveniência e emergência histórica. Dito de outra forma, por se considerar esses anos como o momento de virada, em que as homossexualidades deixaram de ter para a Medicina e a Psiquiatria, por exemplo, a concepção de sexualidade desviante, patológica, para tornarem-se uma possibilidade de identidade. Essa virada, por força do movimento social gay, tem como marcos a retirada da homossexualidade do rol dos transtornos mentais pela Associação Americana de Psquiatria, em 1973; pela Associação Americana de Psicologia, em 1975; e, finalmente, pela Organização Mundial da Saúde, em 1990. No Brasil, a despatologização foi feita, em 1985, pelo Conselho Federal de Medicina. O Boletim de Psicologia, publicado pela Associação de Psicologia de São Paulo, e a Revista Brasileira de Psicanálise, publicada pela Sociedade Brasileira de Psicanálise de São Paulo, foram integrados ao corpus da pesquisa pela importância que exerceram no campo da psicologia brasileira. Dado seu prestígio e sua capacidade de impacto, o periódico Caderno de Pesquisa, publicado pela Fundação Carlos Chagas, foi tomado como contraponto no campo educacional. No recolhimento do material, foram encontrados 414 exemplares dessas revistas, totalizando 3822 artigos. Destes, 27 (0,6%) apresentam conteúdos sobre a temática investigada, sendo 18 (0,4%) da área de Psicologia e 9 (0,2%) da área de Educação; 13 (0,3%) fazem parte do Boletim de Psicologia, 5 (0,1%) da Revista Brasileira de Psicanálise, e 9 (0,2%) dos Cadernos de Pesquisa. As análises dos discursos científicos foram realizadas por meio de teorias que os compreendem como formulações sociais e historicamente localizadas. Para tanto, utilizou-se como referencial a perspectiva foucaultiana, particularmente no que se refere à relação poder-saber-sexualidade, como também a teoria Queer. Os resultados sinalizam o relativo silêncio dessas revistas sobre um assunto debatido socialmente e com referências antigas no campo da Psicologia e da Educação. Apesar do movimento de retirada da homossexualidade do rol dos distúrbios patológicos, observada nos catálogos médicos, psiquiátricos e psicológicos, e dos avanços do movimento gay a partir da década de 1970, os discursos presentes nessas revistas científicas são elaborados, em sua maioria, principalmente no Boletim de Psicologia e na Revista Brasileira de Psicanálise, no sentido de patologizar as homossexualidades, apontando para sua identificação através de casos clínicos e também de  testes psicológicos e, por conseguinte, para a suposta cura e prevenção. Num sentido alternativo, foram encontrados, nos Cadernos de Pesquisa, discursos que vão no sentido liberalizante das sexualidades, mesmo não abordando de modo direto a homossexualidade. Os artigos analisados estão na contramão dos ganhos sociais, científicos e políticos do homossexual, uns permanecendo no sentido patologizador e outros não abordando diretamente o assunto. Com isso, mesmo estando em um período considerado repressor para as sexualidades dissidentes, os discursos reafirmam a dominação sobre as mentes e os corpos, o que se inscreve na crítica da hipótese repressiva de Foucault.

The prejudices and moral judgments concerning human sexuality, especially when it escapes the social norm, do not go without repercussions in the scientific investigations, especially those located in the intersection between Psychology and Education. The following thesis has as its goal understand how the issue related to normality and pathology were joined in the way which the homosexualities were worked out by this knowledge fields in the 1970s and 1980s decades, having an empirical basis the reading of scientific journals published in this period from São Paulo. These decades were picked by the Foucauldian concepts of provenance and historical emergence. Putting in another way, considering these years as the turning point, in which homosexuality no longer has for Medicine and Psychiatry, for instance, the conception of deviant, pathological, to become a possibility of identity. This turning point, by pressure of the gay social movement, has as milestones the withdrawal of homosexuality from the list of mental disorders by the American Association of Psychiatry, in 1973; by American Association of Psychology, in 1975; and finally, by the World Health Organization, in 1990. In Brazil the depathologization occurred in 1985 by the Federal Board of Medicine. The Boletim de Psicologia, published by the Psychology Association of São Paulo, and the Revista Brasileira de Psicanálise, published by the Brazilian Society of Psychoanalysis of São Paulo, were integrated into the corpus of the research for the importance they exercised in the field of Brazilian psychology. Given its prestigie and impact capacity the journal Caderno de Pesquisa, published by the Carlos Chagas Foundation, was taken as a counterpoint in the educational field. Gathering the data, was found 414 copies of these journals, resulting a total of 3822 articles. 27 (0.6%) of the amount of articles present contents on the subject under investigation, of which 18 (0.4%) are in Psychology area and 9 (0.2%) of the Education area; 13 (0.3%) are part of the Psychology Bulletin, 5 (0.1%) of the Brazilian Journal of Psychoanalysis, and 9 (0.2%) of the Research Papers. The analyzes of the scientific discourses were carried out through theories that understand them as social formulations and historically localized. For that, the Foucaultian perspective was used as reference, particularly with regard to the power-knowledgesexuality relation, as well as the Queer theory. The outcome indicates the relative silence of these journals on a socially debated subject and with previous references in the field of Psychology and Education. Despite the movement to remove homosexuality from the list of pathological disorders, observed in the medical, psychiatric and psychological catalogs and the advances of the gay movement since the 1970s, the discourses present in these scientific journals are mostly elaborated mainly in the Bulletin of Psychology and in the Brazilian Journal of Psychoanalysis, in the sense of pathologizing homosexuality, pointing to their identification through clinical cases and also of psychological tests and, therefore, for the supposed cure and prevention. In an alternative sense, in the Cadernos de Pesquisa, discourses have been found that go in the liberalizing direction of sexualities, even though they do not directly address homosexuality. The analyzed articles are against the social, scientific and political gains of the homosexual, some remaining in the sense pathologizing and others not directly addressing the subject. Thus, even in a period considered repressive for dissident sexualities, discourses reaffirm domination over minds and bodies, which is inscribed in Foucault's critical repressive hypothesis.

Manusia itu diciptakan sebagai makhkluk sempurna, sehingga mampu mencintai dirinya (autoerotik), mencintai orang lain beda jenis (heteroseksual) namun juga yang sejenis (homoseksual) bahkan dapat jatuh cinta makhluk lain ataupun benda, sehingga kemungkinan terjadi perilaku menyimpang dalam perilaku seksual amat banyak. Manusia tidak selamanya lurus dan normal, karena pasti ada saja yang memiliki kecenderungan tidak normal / tidak wajar dalam menjalani hidup di dunia. Salah satu ketidakwajaran manusia dapat dilihat dari perilaku seksual menyimpang yang ada pada dirinya. Kelainan seks terjadi pada batin atau kejiwaan seseorang walaupuan dari segi fisik penderita penyakit seks batin tersebut sama dengan orang-orang normal yang lain. Penyimpangan seksual adalah aktivitas seksual yang ditempuh seseorang untuk mendapatkan kenikmatan seksual dengan tidak sewajarnya. Biasanya, cara yang digunakan oleh orang tersebut adalah menggunakan obyek seks yang tidak wajar. Penyebab terjadinya kelainan ini bersifat psikologis atau kejiwaan, seperti pengalaman sewaktu kecil, dari lingkungan pergaulan, dan faktor genetik. Hal-hal tersebut dipengaruhi karena beberapa faktor penyebab yang melatar belakangi, sehingga dalam makalah ini penulis akan mencoba mengupas berbagai hal yang berhubungan dengan penyimpangan seksual mulai dari pengertian, macam-macam, sebab-sebab, cara penanggulangan dan hubungannya dengan hambatan bagi keharmonisan keluarga

This research is a study carried out to determine The Role of Religious Studies on the Prevention of Lesbianism among Undergraduates in Nigeria Institutions, A case study of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko. Four research questions were raised, and one Research Hypothesis was tested for the study. Descriptive survey research design was adopted for the study. A sample of one hundred and eighty respondents participated in the study. The main research instrument was a questionnaire which was designed for students of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko to respond to, the questionnaire was tested for reliability using Cronbach Alpha formula and the reliability co-efficient yielded 0.84. Other instrument used is interview. The instrument (questionnaire) were checked for content and construct validity by three experts in Arts Education and the research supervisor also ensured face validity of the instrument before administration. Data obtained were analysed using simple percentage, frequency count, bar charts, and the hypothesis was tested using Analysis of Variance (ANOVA).
        Findings from the study shows that Religion and religious studies is taking a major and significant role in ensuring that the act of lesbianism is being curbed in Nigerian Higher institutions ,going by the results given from the responses of sample selected for this research work. Result from the research work also shows that lesbianism is gradually gaining ground among students of higher institutions in Nigeria. It could also be observed from the findings of this research work that people shared mixed feelings about whether religious studies is capable of preventing lesbianism in Nigerian higher institutions. However, a reasonable number of the respondents are of a strong believe that religious studies actually has what it takes to prevent this immoral act. Also, this research work found out that students are enlightened to a reasonable extent on the dangers involved in the practices of lesbianism and as such are refraining from the act.

This petition argues that erotic comics are an important cultural record of the way in which diverse sexualities are understood and portrayed, and sexual fantasies explored. An Erotic Comics Anglophone Archive (ErotiCAA) will preserve these works for research by scholars in many different disciplines.

One of the biggest problems facing anyone researching pornography/erotica or comics, and therefore doubly so for anyone researching erotic/pornographic comics, is finding and gaining access to primary materials. So we have decided to have a go at establishing an archive in the UK to collect and catalogue English-language porn and erotic comics.

We intend to approach a number of libraries and research institutions to host and/or fund the archive. Persuading them to support us will be a lot easier if we an show that there is a need for this archive, so to help with that we’ve started this petition.

The colloquial image of the gay-friendly Plato is all the more dangerous because it is so tacitly presupposed ~ so uncritically accepted ~ that it seems almost genetically to pass down through the educated classes. В настоящей статье приводятся результаты авторского исследования, в ходе которого изучались различные формы предубеждений в социокультурном пространстве школ Нижнего Новгорода. Опросив 600 старшеклассников, проведя серию глубинных интервью и «гарфинкелинг», автор выявил 2 «идеальных типа» гендерных режимов в школах — либеральный и консервативный, — которые наиболее отчетливо прослеживаются среди учеников старших классов и определяют взаимодействия между ними, в том числе проявления насилия. Цель данного исследования — дать характеристики этим гендерным режимам и продемонстрировать их роль в различных формах дискриминации в пространстве школы.
Положение групп школьников с различными гендерными режимами на противоположных полюсах социокультурного пространства позволяет говорить о наличии в школе социальной дистанции между ними, обусловленной тотальностью доминирующего гендерного режима, функционирующего по принципу деления субъектов на «мы» и «они», предписывающего молодежи готовые наборы моделей поведения и ценностей, характеризующиеся игнорированием индивидуальных особенностей и потребностей.

Culture affects every aspect of emotions. Identifying which emotions are good or bad, when emotions are appropriate to be expressed, and even how they should be displayed are all influenced by culture. Even more importantly, cultures differentially affect emotions, meaning that exploring cultural contexts is key to understanding emotions. Through incorporating sociological, anthropological, and psychological research accounts it can be concluded that exploring emotions in different cultures is very complex and the current literature is equally as complex, reflecting multiple views and the hypothesis.

Culture is one of the most important studies of the human race which relates to human emotions applicable to both genders. How it is known from the very beginning when man first appeared either by a Big Bang Theory or by word of God based on the Bible or any religious views, Cultures react and approach differently to emotions, understanding, and it merges exploring sociological and anthropological as well as psychological key evidence to conclude that it is complex with many multiple theories and hypothesis.

A presente obra traz uma discussão no âmbito acadêmico, que sem
dúvida, é muito importante para a conscientização no Brasil sobre
os problemas enfrentados pelas pessoas LGBTs no nosso país. Em
pleno século XXI, os esforços para reduzir o preconceito e a
discriminação contra a homossexualidade não só no Brasil, mas no
mundo continuam em ritmo desacelerado.
A harmonia sugerida baseia-se na própria origem das situações de
desigualdade entre as pessoas e na necessidade de combater essas
situações de vulnerabilidade originárias da sociedade brasileira,
seja por gênero ou identidade de gênero, incluindo questões
relacionadas à sexualidade humana. Perspectivas essas que passam
por dar visibilidade aos obstáculos que dificultam a proteção e a
efetivação dos Direitos Humanos. Assim, tal compreensão acerca
dos problemas vividos por pessoas homossexuais nos motivou na
criação desta obra, onde serão abordados: a homossexualidade na
história; assim como na explicitação das realidades vividas por
homossexuais no período do Nacional-Socialismo Alemão. Por fim,
os estudos se concentrarão no preconceito e nos impactos negativos
à homossexualidade no Brasil.
É importante destacar que esse livro faz parte dos trabalhos do
Laboratório de Direitos Humanos, Gênero e Sexualidade da
Universidade Federal de Roraima em viabilizar uma discussão
social, tanto no Brasil como em outras partes do mundo, instigando
os leitores na reflexão sobre as distintas perspectivas visibilizadas e
no combate ao preconceito.

Os estudos migratórios dos últimos anos têm dado destaque à chamada “migração queer”, isto é, ao campo interdisciplinar surgido no
início dos anos 2000 que ressalta a presença cada vez mais marcante de pessoas LGBTs nos processos migratórios contemporâneos. A migração queer propõe o cruzamento entre as abordagens centradas na sexualidade e na migração, e, por isso mesmo, ela pode conduzir a profundas reformulações nessas duas áreas. Embora represente um campo ainda difuso – um “corpo indisciplinado de estudiosos” (Unruly Body of Scholarship), nas palavras de Eithne Luibhéid (2008) –, já é reconhecido como capaz de “desafiar a essencialização de gênero, sexualidade e cultura” (LEWIS; NAPLES, 2014) em matérias relacionadas à política de mobilidade e fronteiras.
A abordagem queer do fenômeno migratório não apenas confronta a
noção da família migrante como uma “família tradicional” (necessariamente constituída a partir de padrões heteronormativos), como também permite que as pessoas LGBTs sejam percebidas como sujeitos que, muitas vezes, lutam por cidadania em espaços nos quais não são nacionais (o espaço transnacional).

El trabajo presenta un análisis acerca del acoso escolar a estudiantes que son percibidos como distintos debido a su orientación sexual o identidad genérica diversa, y que son víctimas de violencia y discriminación en los espacios escolares. Se analiza la forma en que la escuela reproduce estas ideas y prácticas que forman parte de los prejuicios y concepciones sociales acerca de la homosexualidad y las consecuencias para el desarrollo integral de los estudiantes. A partir de la reflexión, se plantea la necesidad de repensar la tarea de las escuelas y sus prácticas a fin de incorporar planteamientos para la construcción de una sociedad que valore la diversidad.

Study research Forbidden Tale; A Comprehensive Study on Lesbian, Gay and Bisexual (LGB) in Iran (250 pages-2018) was conducted in order to analysis the existence of sexual minorities in Iran from various perspectives. Many turns were taken to understand the phenomenon of LGB in Iran by interviewing with over 400 individuals (60% male and 40% female) in 3 major Iranian cities: Tehran, Mashhad and Isfahan. For the first time ever in Iran, by using snowballing and Grounded Theory approach, a research was conducted during the course of one year to narrate the continuous struggle of Lesbian, Gays, and Bisexuals in Iran along with their struggle with law enforcement and legislation. This is the first study conducted inside Iran exploring the presence of LGB along with their agonies and pain and soon full version of this study will be published by a US publisher. Present research study contributes a unique dimension to the literature on LGB by focusing specifically on Iran. This article presents one aspect of a comprehensive study that demonstrates the prevalence of LGB in Iran and their agonies while struggling with the Islamic Sharia's based law in the country. Research study presents an overview and exploration of the dynamics of LGB individuals in Iran that employs fieldwork as a base. This research study reveals to the readers that Iran is not an exception when it comes to prevalence of LGB and whilst homosexuality has gained greater social acceptance in many Western societies, it remains stigmatized, in most cases forbidden and potentially lethal in most Islamic countries.

Resumo:  O  presente  artigo  busca  discutir  a  homofobia  e  suas variadas manifestações  no  ambiente organizacional.  Essa  temática  é  relevante socialmente  e  tem  se  tornado  mais  frequente  nos  estudos  em administração. Assim, inicialmente discutimos brevemente sobre o conceito de homofobia e sua associação  com  o  poder  e  a  heteronormatividade  salientando  a  vivência  de
homossexuais masculinos, lésbicas, bissexuais e transexuais. Então, enfocamos a discussão para o âmbito do trabalho e das organizações destacando o contexto brasileiro a partir de temáticas que envolvem o acesso ao mundo do trabalho, os estereótipos, a violência e o assédio, e as políticas de respeito à diferença sexual. Então, enfatizamos uma perspectiva reflexiva que envolva a conscientização e a
educação na sociedade e especialmente no nível do trabalho.

Abstract: This article aims to discuss homophobia and its varied manifestations in  the  organizational  environment.  This  theme  is  relevant  socially  and  has become more frequent in management studies. So, initially we discuss briefly about  the  concept  of  homophobia  and  its association with  power  and heteronormativity emphasizing the experience of gaymen, lesbians, bisexuals and  transsexuals.  Then,  we  focus  the  discussion  to  the  scope  of  work  and organizations highlighting the Brazilian context from issues that involve access to the workplace, stereotypes, violence and harassment, and policies regarding
sexual  difference.  Then,  we  emphasize  a  reflective  perspective  that  involves awareness and education in society and especially at the job level.

This study deals with homosexual orientation in the Brazilian Armed
Forces, highlighting the situation of homosexuality in the military sphere and also the need for discussion in Brazilian society about the acceptance or impediment of homosexual military personnel from performing military service. In this sense, contrary to constitutional precepts, such as equal treatment in law, sexual freedom, respect for human dignity and well-being and others. A multidisciplinary bibliographic search was carried out for the study methodology, with a qualitative approach and a deductive method. The investigation concludes that discriminatory practices are made difficult to accept/integrate homosexual military personnel within the country's armed forces. That is why greater efforts are needed to raise social awareness on gender and Human Rights issues.

L'homosexualité est l'un des sujets les plus controversés et chaudement débattus dans le monde d'aujourd'hui. Toutefois, les discussions à propos de l'homosexualité perdent de vue une question fondamentale: l’amour homosexuel. En réfléchissant sur cette question du point de vue chrétien et surtout catholique romain, ce document invite à une appréciation de la réalité de l'amour homosexuel comme une dimension mystérieuse de l'existence humaine qui peut communiquer l’amour divin. En partant de la lecture de Luc 7:36-50, le papier propose la "culture de rencontre", comme l’a suggéré le Pape François, comme réponse théologique et pastorale de l'Eglise vers les homosexuels.

No presente trabalho, buscamos analisar a experiência de mulheres lésbicas de Juiz de Fora, município de Minas Gerais, no âmbito do trabalho, da sociedade e do sujeito, a partir de desenhos por elas elaborados. Discutimos sobre a vivência da sexualidade e a lesbofobia como aspectos presentes em suas vidas e no trabalho, considerando que
se inserem em um contexto heteronormativo. Realizamos uma pesquisa qualitativa com a elaboração de desenhos e entrevistas que possibilitaram a construção de categorias: ser lésbica, inclusão e inserção social, desenvolvimento pessoal e proissional, e mundo real e mundo ideal. Esses desenhos se mostraram como uma técnica rica e interessante para possibilitar o acesso a suas dimensões
subjetivas e simbólicas relativas àssuas vivências
sociais e laborais. Por im, defendemos uma postura  relexiva  e  crítica,  tanto  na  sociedade  como nas organizações, acerca dos padrões socialmente construídos e valorizados que podem marginalizar ou estigmatizar aqueles que fogem desses padrões.

In this paper, we analyze the experience of lesbian women from Juiz de Fora, state of Minas Gerais, on the scope of their work, society and individual lives, based on drawings made by them. We discuss and consider the experience of sexuality and lesbophobia as aspects of their lives and
work in an heteronormative context. A qualitative
study was conducted from elaborations of drawings and interviews that allowed the construction of categories: being lesbian, inclusion and social integration, personal and professional development, and real world and the ideal world. The drawings showed to be a rich and interesting technique to provide access to their subjective and symbolic
dimensions as well as to their social and work experiences. Finally, we advocate a relective and critical posture both by the society and organizations on the socially constructed and valued patterns that can marginalize or stigmatize those who
lee from them.

Será possível educar sem falar de sexo na escola? Esta pergunta apareceu em minhas pesquisas como título em uma matéria do jornal Diário do Paraná datada de 29 de novembro de 1969. A pergunta correspondia a um contexto que englobava em escala macroanalítica o desenvolvimento de fármacos voltados para a anticoncepção; a "ideologia da modernização" que traria mudanças nocivas aos costumes; e pela reação encontrada nos espaços institucionais e religiosos a esses novos componentes da vida social urbana. O despertar do interesse sobre sexualidade logo repercutiu na escola, pois em se tratando de sexo, o problema estaria, principalmente, entre os/as jovens, que, mostravam as pesquisas, tinham uma vida sexual ativa e eram mais "suscetíveis" aos modismos estrangeiros. Portanto, não poderia a escola passar incólume diante de tal cenário, recaindo sobre professores/as uma significativa atenção, inclusive sobre o que 1 Este artigo é uma versão condensada de minha pesquisa realizada entre os anos 2015e e 2016 no projeto Ensino de história e homossexualidade: discutindo a produção do saber em sala de aula. El estudio tiene como objetivo hablar sobre la orientación homosexual y su relación con
la ideología cristiana, en especial la católica, como fuente de inspiración para la sociedad brasileña en
cuestiones de inclusión de las personas homosexuales y, también en el combate a la discriminación en
el país. Para eso ha sido realizada una investigación basada en fuentes bibliográficas que retrataron la
condena de la homosexualidad desde algunos de los preceptos bíblicos. Para la investigación ha sido
empleada una metodología basada en la fuente bibliográfica multidisciplinar, con relación con el derecho,
la historia, etcétera... Como indagaciones el estudio buscó algunas respuestas: ¿Cómo ha sido tratada la
homosexualidad por la ideología cristiana? ¿El Papa Francisco ya ha se manifestado sobre esa orientación
sexual? La investigación concluye por la existencia de obstáculos que discriminan a las personas homosexual
en el ámbito de la Iglesia Católica.

Nuestra investigación objetiva enfocar la orientación sexual
homosexual relacionándola como una más de la diversidad sexual
existente y que su protección tiene que ver con preceptos básicos
de los derechos humanos y también constitucionales, como a la
vida, la dignidad y la posibilidad de desarrollarse plenamente como
persona y de ejercieren sus humanidades, sin los obstáculos que
dificultan sobremanera esa inclusión.

Resumo O objetivo do estudo foi investigar a promoção da Informação, Educação e Comunicação (IEC) em saúde para a população de homens que fazem sexo com homens (HSH) em áreas urbanas de Moçambique. Para isso, foram realizadas entrevistas com 122 HSH para conhecer suas necessidades de IEC em materiais sobre saúde sexual, caracterizar as categorias de grupos-alvo no contexto moçambicano e abordar os vetores de comunicação viáveis para a transmissão de mensagens sobre saúde. Os dados foram analisados por meio de técnicas qualitativas inspiradas na cartografia e na fenomenologia. Os resultados apontam para a escassa divulgação de informações em saúde para os HSH, assim como para a deficiência dos programas de Aconselhamento e Testagem em Saúde (ATS) e para o fato de que a discriminação e o medo de se expor constituem barreiras para o acesso e uso dos serviços de saúde. Espera-se que os resultados contribuam na definição de estratégias para a prevenção e controle das DST, incluindo o HIV, sobretudo na população de homens que fazem sexo com homens de Moçambique. La presente obra se centra en un análisis sobre la situación
de la homosexualidad dentro de la sociedad brasileña,
en especial circunstancia la implicación de esa temática con la
previsión constitucional de protección de la diversidad sexual en
los principios establecidos en la Constitución Federal brasileña de
1988.
El desarrollo de nuestra argumentación versará sobre
la orientación sexual homosexual y su relación con el amparo
constitucional, demostrando que las influencias de pensamientos
basados en estereotipos, prejuicios y conductas discriminatorias
han contribuido, significativamente, para la estigmatización de
las personas homosexuales en el país, pero la previsión de Carta
Magna de Brasil enseña una trayectoria de defensa y protección de
la diversidad sexual y la no discriminación.
Hechos esos que ha contribuido para tornarlos
(los homosexuales) personajes de segunda categoría, y
fundamentalmente, excluidos de la participación social, política,
económica etc. Así, también podemos comentar que las personas
homosexuales han vivido completamente olvidadas por el Estado
brasileño en las últimas décadas, realidad que podemos constatar,
en su momento, por medio de escasas iniciativas políticas públicas
para ese colectivo de personas, con el principal objetivo de permitir
a los mismos la superación de situaciones de vulnerabilidad
enfrentadas.

Examples are an important microstructural paradigm for the production of texts and to complement the information within the definition with pragmatic-discursive aspects about the lexicon. Our goal is to investigate discursive aspects related to male homosexuals which occur in the examples of a type 3 school dictionary, Saraiva Júnior (SARAIVA; OLIVEIRA, 2010). In this way, our research is aligned with a concept of lexicon as “sociocultural vocabulary knowledge” (OLIVEIRA; ISQUERDO, 2001; PONTES, 2009) and with the Discursive Lexicography (ORLANDI, 2000; NUNES, 2010; COROA, 2011). We analyze the examples for the meanings related to male homosexuals in five entries: ‘boiola’, ‘boneca’, ‘gay’, ‘homossexual’ and ‘maricas’. Our data reveal prejudice situations in the examples for headwords labeled as pejorative, indicating that there might be a relationship between labeling and examples. Male homosexuals are also related to struggles for civil rights and social visibility and are contrasted with the profile of the ‘macho man’.

Neste artigo, discuto a presença e os enquadramentos técnicos e ideológicos dos problemas da homossexualidade, do homoerotismo e do género (masculino/feminino) no romance O Filho de Mil Homens (2011), do português Valter Hugo Mãe (1971). Convoco quer as principais teorias que propõem explicações para a homossexualidade e a identidade de género quer as visões de alguns autores que, não filiados em nenhuma teoria, escreveram sobre o tema, como Michel Foucault, John Thorp ou Judith Butler.

La ideología en torno a la no heterosexualidad en las sociedades occidentales, a simple vista, parece estar permeada de inclusión y aceptación, no obstante, un análisis más profundo del devenir cotidiano, proyecta que los prejuicios y estereotipos en torno al género, juegan un papel de suma importancia en el campo de la convivencia. La discriminación sucede en todos los ámbitos, sobre todo, en los pedagógicos, situación que obliga a que la mayoría de los estudiantes y docentes no heterosexuales, se conserven en el anonimato, con el fin de cuidar no sólo su integridad física y/o emocional, sino también su permanencia dentro de las instituciones educativas. Gracias a los estereotipos de género preestablecidos, no sólo para quien está fuera de éstos es preferible mantenerse ocultos, sino que, los compañeros y las autoridades respectivas, comparten esta idea, para ellos, es mejor que su orientación sexual permanezca en las sombras, e incluso, los incitan a que la oculten, así, ambas partes evitan la incomodidad y conviven en armonía. El presente escrito, se basa en los primeros hallazgos obtenidos mediante una investigación cualitativa, en la que se usó como método la entrevista a profundidad, aplicada a tres docentes no heterosexuales que laboran en primarias y secundarias de la Ciudad de Chihuahua.

Neste texto analiso a constituição da homofobia no espaço escolar e problematizo a necessidade de uma abordagem pedagógica sobre o tema, evitando a produção do silêncio que marcam os casos de violência, silêncio que contribui, sobremaneira, com a reprodução da discriminação e para a perpetuação das violações.
