One o f the aims o f this research was to explore NoS conceptions amongst pre-service and novice teachers and to establish the extent to which their pupils developed more contemporary Nose conceptions, when taught about NoS through explicit means. The study also considered the effects of explicitly teaching NoS on beginning teachers' approaches to and perceptions o f teaching science and on their pupil's reflections o f school science. A mixture of qualitative and quantitative methodologies, which included questionnaires, group interviews and written reflections, was utilised to explore the research questions. Írásunkban a Vajdaságból Magyarországra irányuló tanulmányi célú migráció értelmezési kereteit, történetét, földrajzi jellemzőit, a migrációt befolyásoló tényezőket, valamint a migrációs döntések hátterét mutatjuk be. A jelenséget főként az agyelszívás elméletét alkalmazva és mindkét ország/régió szemszögéből nézve vizsgáljuk. Mivel a vizsgált jelenséget nagymértékben befolyásolják a különböző (magyar, illetve vajdasági magyar) nemzetpolitikák, ezért ezeket kiemelt fontosságúként ismertetjük. In Western European countries, immigrants are generally in a worse position than local people. This is due to their position in society, cultural-linguistic and other differences compared to the majority society. Their qualifications and schooling differ from the host population, and the majority society is often discriminatory against them. In contrast, our research shows that Hungarian immigrants coming from outside the Hungarian borders are more qualified and educated than the Hungarian population, so they have better chances in the Hungarian labor market. This is also backed by the fact that the age structure, cultural traditions, mother tongue etc. of the immigrant population are the same as the host population so they can easily fit into society and local communities. Based on these, it can be stated that the immigrant Hungarian population coming from the neighboring countries is a major economic resource for Hungary

PAP, József. The division of Zemplín County by districts and constituencies in the period of dualism. In Annales historici Presovienses. ISSN 1336-7528, 2023, vol. 23, no. 1, p. 82 – 95. The study is part of the prepared larger archontology concerning the Zemplín County in the period of dualism. Knowing the functionaries of the county first of all requires knowledge of its territorial division and the characteristics of the territory from various aspects. So far, there is no modern work of this type in historiography. This study is a partial output of just such a complex work currently being prepared regarding the archontology of Zemplín County. In addition to the identification of persons - officials working in various state positions, the study seeks to reveal their mutual kinship ties and connections. In the case of civil servants, the basic territorial-administrative unit is the district, in the case of members of parliament, it is the electoral district. The aim of this study is to point out the possible overlaps of these two territorial units and systems, their geographical definition, lists of representatives, but also the ethnic structure of their population. The subject of analysis will also be the electoral structure and its electoral preferences, as well as election results. The study is complemented by hand-made maps, the digital version of which was made by Gábor Benedek. Key words: district, district, Zemplín County, officials, dualism, archontology.

A tanulmány a magy arországi német nyelvű, illetve német nemzetiségi tanítóképzés bemutatására fókuszálva foglalkozik az első magy arországi önálló tanítóképző intézet politikai és nyelvi fordulatok között formálódó belső életével, valamint részletesen bemutatja a történelmi Magy arország, és a 20. század német nyelvű tanítóképzésének történetét. A tanulmány elsősorban hazai és külföldi forrásmunkákra alapozva tekinti át a magy arországi német nyelvű tanítóképzés első 200 évét, miközben kvalitatív és kvantitatív adatokra támaszkodva teszi egyértelművé, hogy a német nyelvű és nemzetiségi tanítóképzés évszázadok óta szerves része a hazai oktatásügynek.  

Within the framework of the project titled EDUA uainfo.hu – Information equality and knowledge-sharing communities in the access of Ukrainian refugee children to education" implemented by the Civil College Foundation (CCF) and the Civil Platform for Public Education (CPPE), our project team collected the information available on the topic and shared it on the uainfo.hu website, conducted a questionnaire-based survey among pedagogues and Ukrainian parents, organised a conference, online meetings and consultation sessions and participated in events held on the topic. This policy recommendation was prepared based on the experiences gained in the project, on the research results and on the overview of the international practice.
The structure of the recommendation package follows the set-up of the European Commission's recommendation in 2022 – Policy guidance on supporting inclusion of Ukrainian refugees in education – supplemented with the topic of access to information. Following the international overview as well as after reviewing and assessing the situation of children who fled from Ukraine to Hungary, we focus and make recommendations on the following areas:
1. Entry and integration into the education system
2. Preparing the educational institutions and their educational staff for
hosting refugee children
3. Preparing the education system for involving Ukrainian teachers and the
staff of early childhood education and care (ECEC)
4. Targeted activities promoting the inclusion of refugee children in education
5. Addressing refugee families and communities and ensuring multi-actor,
cross-sector cooperation
6. Long-term measures to promote inclusive education

We have identified the following major problems:
- lack of data and other details, incomplete information;
- methodological and mental unpreparedness of the educational system
(institutions and pedagogues); lack of experience in dealing with children
whose mother tongue is not Hungarian, who studied under a nonHungarian curriculum, or who are traumatised due to their refugee status; being left alone with their problems
- lack of well-considered ideas for central situation management and lack of flexible adaptation to the situation.

We intend to help solve and alleviate these problems with our proposals addressed to the education government, other state administrative bodies and institution maintainers – primarily the Klebelsberg Centre, school districts, vocational training centres and local governments (municipalities).

From the autumn of 1944, Hungarians in Kárpátalja fell victim to the ferocious atrocities. Tens of thousands of civilians were taken hostage and deported by Soviet authorities to Russian labor camps. Mentioning the victims of “malenky robot” was forbidden, as it was adverse to the interests of the ruling communist elite in Hungary. It was only 45 years later, in 1989, that the process of unearthing the truth began. The Szolyva Memorial Park was established in the 1990s. In this study, we analyze an ideal type: the reconstruction of the collective memory of now minority Hungarians in Kárpátalja is a unique story, yet it can be interpreted on a universal level, that of mankind. A pályakezdő pedagógusok sajátos helyzetben vannak a munkaerőpiacon, hiszen az életpálya modell gyakornoki fokozatában számos kihívással, problémával kell megküzdeniük. Kutatásunk arra irányult, hogy megvizsgáljuk és megismerjük a pályakezdő pedagógusok karrierterveit, hogy mennyire elégedettek az iskolai munka feltételeivel, a karrierlehetőségekkel, terveznek-e pályaelhagyást, illetve hogyan látják jövőjüket a pedagógus-életpályamodellben.

A munka és a család összeegyeztetése a nemi szerepek elvárás
ainak különbözőségéből fakadóan a legtöbb ember számára feszültséget okoz. A nők – tekintettel fokozódó részvételükre a munkaerőpiacon – különösen érintettek a munka és a család közötti konfliktus kérdésében. A munka-család konfliktus mértéke különféle tényezők függvényében változhat. Jelen tanulmány azt vizsgálja, hogy a végzett munka
felettes általi megbecsültsége milyen hatással lehet a munka-család konfliktusra, azaz csökkenti-e a szerepek összeegyeztetéséből fakadó nyomást. Módszer és eredmények: A vizsgálatban a HOUPE tanulmányban válaszadó, hat országból származó orvosnők adatai kerültek elemzésre. Az 1435 résztvevőtől származó válaszok alapján megállapíthatjuk, hogy a megbecsültséggel elsősorban a munkából fakadó stressz családi életre gyakorolt hatása csökken (mely a munka-család konfliktus egyik formája), de az időhiányból eredő nyomáson is enyhítenek a felettes pozitív visszajelzései. A család felől a munka területére érkező konfliktusra a megbecsülés nincs hatással. Következtetés: A tanulmány kiemeli a felettes és beosztott közötti pozitív kommunikáció jelentőségét az orvosnők munkahelyi és családi életének hatékonyabb összeegyeztetésében.

Стаття присвячена взаємозв’язку і наслідкам міграції та торгівлі людьми в умовах збройного конфлікту. Відзначено, що повномасштабне вторгнення Російської Федерації на територію України стало поштовхом для переосмислення торгівлі людьми: жінки та діти, які змушені покинути Україну через військову агресію Росії та прямують до сусідніх країн, стикаються з ризиками торгівлі людьми. Чоловіки, які залишаються всередині країни, також можуть стати здобиччю торгівців людьми. Окреслено, що до подій лютого поточного року вивчення та формування міграційних процесів, а також причин міграції українського населення були спрямовані на впровадження превентивних заходів із подолання наслідків, максимізації користі результатів, викликаних такими процесами. Дослідженням визначено, що поза увагою статистичної інформації залишається такий аспект як насильницьке та без згоди переміщення громадян України на територію Російської Федерації та окуповані території, оскільки відсутня точна кількість депортованих. Наведені цифри у засобах масової інформації та у виступах представників органів державної влади є приблизними, а кількість таких осіб набагато більша; щодо кількості облікованих кримінальних правопорушень, то їх набагато більше, адже торгівля людьми має високу латентність, оскільки потерпілі від торгівлі людьми не бажають повідомляти про це у правоохоронні органи. Встановлено, що станом на 02 листопада аналіз бази «Законодавство України» дозволяє відзначити, що в ній міститься 66 нормативно-правових актів, пов’язаних з протидією торгівлі людьми, проте з початку повномасштабного вторгнення Російської Федерації на територію України до жодної постанови, указу, розпорядження тощо не було внесено змін та доповнень. Зроблено висновок, про необхідність внесення змін до чинних нормативно-правових актів, а також приділення з боку національного координатора у сфері протидії торгівлі людьми – Міністерством соціальної політики України – уваги такій категорії як внутрішньо переміщені особи, а також проведенні роз’яснювальної роботи із громадянами України, які виїжджають за кордон через збройний конфлікт, на пунктах пропуску, надаючи їм детальну інформацію про Національну гарячу лінію з протидії торгівлі людьми, запобігання та протидії насильству за ознакою статі та гарячу лінію екстреної допомоги в усіх країнах ЄС.

The objective of this report is to present the historical background and the relevant statistical, sociological and geographic data on migration in Hungary, as well as the legal and policy framework concerning international migratory flows. The report observes the place of Hungary in the framework of migration between two country groups, the Visegrad countries (Czech Republic, Poland, Slovakia and Hungary) and the countries of the Eastern Partnership (Belarus, Ukraine, Moldova and Georgia). Due to geographic proximity and historical ties, the two most important focal points of this complex phenomenon are the limitrophe migration from Ukraine’s Transcarpathia region to Eastern Hungary, and the very diverse patterns of labour migration from different Eastern European countries to Budapest, the capital city of Hungary.

Edukacja zawsze była i jest ważną gałęzią życia społecznego, a przy tym warunkiem koniecznym do dalszego postępu i rozwoju. The aim is to study and analyze the levels of general traumatism of the population, some aspects of trauma care in Transcarpathian region regarding administrative units. Materials and methods: Medical-statistical, graphic and biblio-semantic methods were used. The data of sectoral statistical reporting in Transcarpathian region for 2014-2018 formed the base of the study. Results: It is determined that the highest rates of traumatism (over 470 per 10 thousand population) are characteristic for the eastern districts of the region; the average indicators (260-470 per 10 thousand population) – for the northern and southern ones, and the lowest (less than 260 per 10 thousand population) – for the central and western parts of the region. The inequality of distribution of traumatological beds in the region in relation to the levels of injury in the administrative territories was determined. A magyar reformátusság történetének egy olyan sajátos aspektusát kutatjuk, amely területileg (Kárpátalja) és egyház-szerkezetileg (Kárpátaljai Református Egyház) a 20. században – bár kényszerűségből, a Kárpát-medencét ért többszörös területi szétszabdalás miatt – levált a mindenkori Magyar Református Egyházról. Arról, hogyan alakult ennek a maradék egyházszervezetnek és a kötelékébe tartozó közel százezer magyar reformátusnak a helyzete, még mindig nincs valós és teljes tudásunk, aminek elsődleges oka, hogy a témában eddig feltárt és ismert írott források száma elég alacsony. Jelen időben azt konstatálhatjuk, hogy az 1944–91 közötti időszakról kevés esettanulmány született. Ennek egyik oka egyértelmű a vidék periférikus helyzete, amely úgy a korabeli Szovjetunió (majd a jelenlegi Ukrajna), mint a magyar nemzet szállásterületének térképén egy kicsiny sáv csupán, s talán ezért kiszorult a kutatások fősodorából, ill. a korabeli források a lehető legnagyobb szétszórtságot mutatják úgy területi, mint nyelvi szempontból egyaránt, pedig az eddigi a feltérképező feltárások azt hozták felszínre, hogy a téma forrásbázisa mindemellett jelentős anyagmennyiséget mutat.

Most Linguistic Landscape (LL) studies nowadays incorporate additional components such as images, photos, graffiti, clothes, as well as people who are immersed and absorbed in spaces by interacting with LL in different ways. This article demonstrates through Transcarpathian examples that language, when it is situated in public spaces needs to be interpreted in broad terms: the richness of the public space draws attention to a broad list of components that interactively participate in public spaces. These components, in addition to written texts in multiple languages, also incorporate components such as economic situation and people. These components are not static but rather form part of other layers that interact in public spaces. This makes LL vital, energetic, constantly evolving, dynamic and anchored in a political, social, and economic framework.

The present paper aims to describe the linguistic landscape of Komi-Permyaks, a Finno-Ugric speech community, in the territory of Perm Krai, Russia. After a brief theoretical introduction, we describe the linguistic landscape of Ku dimkar, the ”capital” of the territory. In our research, we use the well-known frame of linguistic landscape proposed by Laihonen (2012) which had to be slightly modified in line with the given data.

The new reality created by the COVID-19 caused a lot of changes in the educational sphere. The transition from face-to-face to distance learning was not smooth in Ukraine because distance learning was not a common practice in the country before and teachers were unprepared for teaching online. This unusual situation prompted us to start our qualitative research primarily to get insights into the altered daily routines of teachers and educators. In particular, we were interested in how they assessed their students’ performance online. This article focuses on secondary school language teachers (n=65) and language tutors at the tertiary level (n=18). The research findings have revealed that teachers gave feedback through different digital applications like Google Classroom. Oral performance was evaluated either synchronously or asynchronously. The most crucial implication is that teachers should improve and further develop their digital skills and distance teaching and assessing skills...

Az egykori mezőváros, Nagybereg múltja (akár az a képletes állatorvosi ló) magán viseli a kárpátaljai magyar lakosság 1944 utáni történtének minden sajátosságát, ugyanakkor a település olyan rendhagyó események színtere is volt, amelyek máshol nem fordultak elő. Az új vezetés a falut a szovjet rezsim kirakattelepülésévé akarta tenni , amelynek az lett a következménye, hogy minden tervet normán felül, minden parancsot idő előtt teljesítettek. Ezek az intézkedések észrevehetők és megfigyelhetők a település új gazdáinak egyházellenes magatartásában is. Az új "gazdák" pedig kivétel nélkül homo novusok voltak, mivel többségük nem nagyberegi származású volt, hanem a szovjet hadseregben jelentek meg a faluban. A hatalomhoz való teljes igazodás hevében gyakran túllőttek a célon, mint például amikor megtiltották a harangozást, vagy a hitoktatás már azelőtt, hogy erről az állami határozat megszületett volna. A tanulmány mikrotörténeti szinten mutatja be Kárpátalja szovjetesítésének folyamatát a nagyberegi református egyházközség szemszögéből nézve.

A  nyelvi és kulturális sokszínűség elvben gazdagabbá teszi úgy az egyént,  mint a közösséget. Ám amennyiben e sokszínűséget valamely állami szerv  erőltetett vagy felszínes formában akarja megvalósítani és/vagy felszámolni, az mindig ellenálláshoz vezet az egyik oldalon és újabb próbálkozásokhoz a másik  oldalon. A kelet-közép-európai  kis- és közepes államok az egész 20. század folyamán arra törekedtek, hogy egynyelvű és egynemzetiségű, homogén nemzetállamokat hozzanak létre e sok nyelv,  sok kultúra és vallás keveredésének helyszínén, mely tágabb otthonunk. Itt, ahol nem a migráció következtében sokszínű az országok nemzetiségi összetétele. Nemzetállam-építési folyamatának egy bizonyos fokán az ukrán értelmiség egy része az Európa nyugati felén mindeddig preferált multikulturalitás felé fordult, amely mögül a beolvasztásra törekvő, ukránosító tendencia kacsint ki ránk, nem titulus népekre.
E tanulmány a multikulturalitás elemének az ukrán oktatáspolitikában és
történelemtanításban  való  megjelenéseit  veszi  sorra:  honnan  indult,  milyen megengedő, befogadó és demokratikus, egyenlő jogalapon kezelte  a nem ukrán autochton lakosságot függetlensége elnyerésének kezdetén az ukrán állam és társadalom egyaránt; mikor és esetleg miért történt meg a gyökeres fordulat a kilencvenes évek második felében; hogyan radikalizálódott az állami oktatáspolitika az ezredfordulón, illetve mit is takar valójában a multikulturális oktatási szemlélet jelenleg Ukrajnában.

A másfél évtizede magunk mögött hagyott 20. század tele van számunkra alig ismert vagy teljesen ismeretlen magyar felmenőinkkel, azok történeteivel, akik tevékenyen cselekedtek annak érdekében, hogy a Csehszlovákiához került északkelet-magyarországi vidék népe megtarthassa magyar identitását és református hitét. Ezen elfeledett személyek közé tartozik Bary Gyula is, akit még a királyi Magyarország idejében szenteltek református pappá, ám lelkészi szolgálatának legtevékenyebb ideje az első Csehszlovák Köztársaság idejére tehető. Az egyházi pályáját beregszászi segédlelkészként kezdő Bary Gyula volt az, aki 1923-ban (Biki Ferenc ungi esperes visszalépése után) elkészítette a Kárpátaljai Reformtus Egyházkerület költségvetését, amelyet immár az állam elfogadhatónak talált. Ettől az időtől kezdve lett Bertók Béla püspök egyik közeli munkatársa, majd 1932-ben megválasztották a Beregi Egyházmegye esperesévé.
Alábbi tanulmányban Bary Gyula gazdag életútjának, lelkészi tevékenységének a címben jelzett időszakban lezajlott fontosabb eredményeit, eseményeit és egyházközsége, illetve egyházmegyéje javára folytatott tevékenységét mutatjuk be, amit írásos forrásokkal alá tudtunk támasztani.

In the autumn of 1944, the new state power issued a decree on secularization, liquidation of church property, and creation of a common church property in Transcarpathia,  the  territory under Soviet occupation. Then, on 24 January  1946,  the  Soviet Union  annexed  this  territory.  In  1947, László Ravasz wanted to integrate the Hungarian Reformed Church in Transcarpathia into the  Russian  Baptist  Alliance,  due  to  the  unclear  situation.  Negotiations  between  the  two denominations, however, had been preceded by  the election of a  starshij  (regional commissioner), a person  leading  the Calvinists  in  the region. As a result, a disagreement developed among the Reformed ministers and finally a small group of them turned against the church  leadership. Negotiations with the Baptists were also delayed because some ministers clearly supported  the  idea of  integration, on  the one hand, while Gyula Bary  and Sándor Lajos, on the other hand, strongly opposed it, saying it would lead to the destruction  of  the Transcarpathian Reformed Church. Finally,  the Religious Affairs Office put  an  end  to  the dilemma by prohibiting  the unification of the two denominations as a dangerous, unwanted process for the state.

The changes in the Ukraine’s state language policy in the sphere of education were subjected to Hungarian, Romanian and PASEcriticism since 2017 (wherein the critics claimed that Ukraine, by adopting and implementing the appropriate legislation tapered thelinguistic rights of national minorities in the part of their right to education by using the mother tongue). Therefore, the Venice Commission,and then, the Ukraine’s Constitutional Court have delivered its conclusions and decisions if the new Law on Education of 2017violates the linguistic rights of the minorities, ensured by the Ukraine’s Constitution. TYPES AND CLUSTERS OF THE HUNGARIAN DIASPORA (“SZÓRVÁNY”) IN TRANSCARPATHIA, UKRAINE
The Hungarian term “szórvány” (literally: diaspora, but its meaning can be rather interpreted as scattered communities) has been used for a long time to differentiate transborder Hungarian communities according to their position and assimilation trajectories. Up until now only a few attempts has been made to group and typify communities labelled as “szórvány”. This is especially true for Transcarpathia, Ukraine, where “szórvány” makes up approximately quarter of the Hungarian population. However, the idea of “szórvány” is quite flexible, and there is no consensus on its exact definition. Based on both quantitative data analysis and qualitative methods (fieldworks since 2018), the present study aims at giving an overview about how the “szórvány” has been defined and differentiated in Transcarpathia and what the possible factors are that characterize the main types of “szórvány”. We found that although the role of structural features like distance from the relatively contiguous Hungarian settlement area (“block”), ethnic proportions, rural-urban differences and allochthonous-autochthonous dichotomy are crucial, local specialities have a significant effect on development paths.

Стаття присвячена одному із аспектів традиційної культури українців Закарпаття. Найменш вивченою на території Закарпаття є демонологія до- линян. Під час дослідження були використані матеріали з етнографічної практики, зібрані автором на Виноградівщині влітку 2018 року. Об’єктом дослідження тут виступає один з напівдемонічних персонажів – відьма.
