This study explored the experiences of Barangay Health Workers (BHW) in Geographically Isolated and Disadvantaged Areas (GIDA) amidst this new normal. This study used the Qualitative phenomenological method of research. This study was conducted in the selected GIDA barangays in Panabo City, Davao Del Norte, Philippines. It has seven (7) participants through purposive sampling, who are the BHWs among the selected barangays with one (1) year and above work experience. The researchers used a validated interview guide questionnaire. The results have revealed that barangay health workers in the new normal experience huge adjustments in rendering healthcare services during the pandemic. Analisa os impactos da crise nas empresas e no setor de turismo e como o setor de turismo no Brasil reagirá aos desafios de superação da crise. Também serão abordadas as possíveis perspectivas para a superação deste momento e como o setor se comportará em relação a um cenário de novas crises de saúde e outras. The educational services worldwide are affected by COVID 19 pandemic. It brings numerous challenges, particularly to all. Thus, the Philippine public educational sectors decided to shift traditional teachinglearning into a blended learning modality. There are options such as online classes and modular distance learning as an alternative way for schools and teachers to render educational services to the students. Moreover, even teachers are still in the process of adjusting and improving their teaching practices and capabilities to deal with the current trend of teaching-learning modality. So, the researcher explored the teachers' capabilities, learning experience, and its challenges in blended learning in this new normal education. This descriptive research used a quantitative method wherein the teachers of Diplahan National High School served as respondents. They were chosen randomly through stratified random sampling to come up with 68 sample sizes. It utilized Pearson Product Moment Correlation, T-Test, and ANOVA as statistical tools. Results revealed that teachers in Diplahan National High School possess the necessary capabilities needed for the implementation of blended learning. The learning experiences of the teachers in blended learning are the following: the students are improving their ICT literacy skills, the students are responsive to queries, respectful, participative, and are paying attention. The respondents experienced these challenges: students with internet connectivity, poor internet connectivity, distance from home, too much auxiliary work, stress, and lack of sufficient time. More so, there is a significant effect of teachers' capabilities on the teacher's learning experiences in blended learning, particularly in the length of service. Consequently, regardless of the respondent's differences in terms of their age, years in service, and position, they have acquired some learning experiences in this blended learning.

In the 'New Normal', the accounting industry is experiencing heavy pressure associated with artificial intelligence (AI). The purpose of this study is to examine the ways and how organizations are harnessing the power of artificial intelligence in the accounting industry through the lens of KPMG. There are 39 employees from the KPMG who responded through a structured questionnaire on Google Forms circulated among the employees of the company. The data collected were analyzed and presented in the table of numerical terms. The results showed there is a significant positive relationship between the adaptation of AI in the accounting tasks in KPMG company. The results of this study reflect upcoming AI practices that will be sent to the KPMG to enhance awareness and adopt artificial intelligence applications for better productivity. These findings can help the accountants in clearly understanding how they can use AI technology to improve the accounting standards.

The new normal in education has been in the spotlight since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic. The mainstream discourse is in favor of online education as the new normal during the pandemic crisis and even in the post-pandemic world. This reflection first examines education in its broad sense, i.e., in the context of the United Nations' 2030 agenda through the lens of social justice. It then makes a strong case for a caring, inclusive and equitable approach to education as the new normal for the post-COVID-19 era. The role of technology in the new normal as well as in education in general is discussed with six lessons drawn from the past experiences. It is argued that the normal-whether new or old-in education should first and foremost embody care, inclusion and equity and that technology is but a means, not an end, although education would be unimaginable without technology. The reflection concludes by appealing to stakeholders in education to learn from decades of research and practice in the field of open and distance education.

The COVID-19 pandemic has resulted in drastic changes in education. Part of it is the shift from face-to-face classes to different learning modalities which include distance learning. Since education is believed to continue despite the circumstances, teachers started to prepare for modular and online distance learning. Teaching is possible, but has challenges as well. Hence, this phenomenological research explored the lived experiences of secondary teachers in the Division of San Pablo City in the pre-implementation of distance learning in the new normal. The participants were selected through purposive sampling and underwent one-on-one actual in-depth interview through video conference. The documented interviews were transcribed and coded. Categories were clustered; then, emerging themes were derived. Results identified three core themes related to preparation such as gathering resources and establishing practices, profiling learners, and capacity building for continuous learning and development; three core themes related to challenges such as complexity of assessment, difficulty in instructional delivery and digital divide; and five core themes related to coping mechanisms which include positive well-being, time management, openness to change, peer mentoring, and collaboration. Findings revealed that as education migrates to new normal, teachers make necessary preparations to equip themselves with distance learning. Though they face challenges which may hamper their work, they still manage to cope with the new normal to continue their tasks. The higher offices and school authorities should work with teachers at the pre-implementation of distance learning to address their needs in resources and training to effectively facilitate the delivery of quality education for students.

Corona Virus 2019 (COVID-19) which hit Indonesia is very important for all major aspects of
health and economy. The Indonesian government in its fight against COVID-19 was carried out
in various ways contained in government regulations. At present the government rules against
COVID-19 and the renewal that took place in Indonesia, the Indonesian government issued a
New Normal. The purpose of this review is to bring out a new normal term in Indonesia after the
COVID-19 pandemic. In conclusion, New Normal is a term resulting from the adaptation
process while in the COVID-19 pandemic. Humans will have new habits from the learning
process and the adaptation process after the COVID-19 pandemic.

The COVID-19 pandemic had plunged the world into turmoil more than one could ever imagine. It has resulted not only in an economic crisis but educational crises as well. To assure the continuity of learning in the Philippines public basic education system, self-learning modules are put in place to meet the educational needs of every learner with the help of parents as partners in teaching. This qualitative study conducted an in-depth exploration of parents as study-buddy in the new normal of teaching using the grounded theory. The in-depth interviews with the participants exposed four emergent themes and a central category on the parents' experiences as study buddy using the modular distance learning modality. "Parents' resilient mechanisms" emerged as the core category and entailed four essential themes: (1) Awareness of the role as para-teachers; (2) Acceptance of the inevitable educational challenge; (3) Actions toward the challenges of the educational setup ; and (4) Adaptation of the new normal in education. The grounded theory of recognition-adaptation-persistence: parents' resilient mechanisms in the new normal of teaching unveils an understanding that being a teacher to your child requires parents and/or guardians to recognize their role (awareness and acceptance), to adapt certain initiatives (adaptation), and to persist in implementing the initiatives and measures at home (actions) for the learning continuity to thrive amid the prevailing challenges and other adversities of the pandemic. The theory can also provide a frame of reference for the educational leaders and institutions for them to come up with regulations and other guidelines that are responsive to the needs and experiences of the parents in actualizing the objectives of modular distance learning in the public basic education system. Overall, the theory highlights the accounts of the parents as they assume the role of being a study buddy of their children at home. Parents' resilient mechanisms in this type of educational set up are being magnified since these are instrumental to the challenge of learning continuity amid the pandemic.

This study investigated the effects of social media to the academic performance and well-being of Grade 10 students in Central Mindanao University Laboratory High School. The study aimed to know the advantages and disadvantages of using social media and on how and why does it affect the students' and academic performance and well-being. Explanatory case study design was utilized in the study. A questionnaire adapted from Portsmouth University and a semi-structured interview protocol was used for collecting data. Participants are purposively selected based on their exposure to social media, academic performance, and well-being. Qualitative analysis indicated that the use of social media is of advantage to students because it enhances communication, gives information, offers entertainment, and provides safety. However, it is disadvantageous since it stimulates isolation/lack of physical interaction, increases probability of misdeeds, decreases motivation and focus, contains toxic side, and may spread misinformation. Social media affects students' academic performance and well-being in many ways. It can decrease attention span, promote health deterioration, expand explanations on lessons, heighten stress, enhance proper communication and seeking assistance, encourage motivation and independence and trigger relationship and personal issues. These effects can be attributed to too much information and tasks, household responsibilities, lack of sleep, more screen time, lack of physical activities due to staying at home, access to unlimited information, procrastination, difficulties in learning, access to different media platforms, flexible schedule and more time in social media.

The New Normal policy has made a tremendous effort on the Philippine educational system since the inception of the COVID-19 Pandemics in early February 2020. The Department of Education has made a tremendous effort in organizing the system for such an unexpected event. Whereas, the whole institution planned on several readiness steps to bring the teachers and the staffs to a level where they would be the one to provide the learning modules for the students. Thus, the whole public school system has busied itself in module making and has been part of various and endless webinars from various institutions-both public and private. However, the problem and challenges encountered by our educational system has been so because the country is not yet ready to provide the technology that has been available beforehand to other countries especially in some ASEAN countries. Thus, the adaption and the implementation of such system may be said to be late. The effect of this late subscription of the Department of Education to various alternative means of education, rather than the traditional, has gotten our country's readiness to a starting point. That while other countries effectively supplanted these alternative forms of education to their learners, the Philippines has just started-and, to this means, what other country has been doing before is said to be the country's New Normal. The research established the current status of the ICT integration in the South East Asia and the world in general as compared to the Philippines as an overview of the country's ICT condition. The result shows that majority of the respondents believed that there is good adaption and implementation of the New Normal policy in the various areas.

The present COVID-19 pandemic has brought extraordinary challenges and has affected the educational sectors, and no one knows when it will end. Every country is presently implementing plans and procedures on how to contain the virus, and the infections are still continually rising. In the educational context, to sustain and provide quality education despite lockdown and community quarantine, the new normal should be taken into consideration in the planning and implementation of the "new normal educational policy". This article presents opportunities for responding issues, problems and trends that are currently arising and will arise in the future due to COVID-19 pandemic through the lens of education in the Philippines-the new educational norm.

Engagement and interaction with another interlocutor (perhaps a more competent one, such as a teacher or native speaker) especially in the pandemic is believed to enable the student to express and respond with any challenges presented by the input. Opportunities for English learning are developed as a result of this approach. The descriptive correlational study designed to confirm the significant relationship between language learning opportunities and English language competence of First Year BS-Criminology students under the New Normal Setting. The results shown that there is a very high level of language learning opportunities with a mean of 4. 49. While the English language competence has a mean score of 4. 47 which entails very high distinction. Meanwhile, when it comes to confirming the significant relationship, it was found out that there is indeed a great association between the two variables with a relationship value of 0.55 while its significance has a value of 0.00693. With this, it is recommended that students must have opportunities to acquire the language in all circumstances and contexts in order to improve their proficiency. Teachers, family, and peers play a much larger role in the process. Exposure to English input through speaking, writing, and other means of activities is beneficial since it provides more opportunities to learn the second language. Hence, passive English exposure would not yield the expected results. The findings of this study also serve as a guidance for English learners and teachers on what has been demonstrated to be useful for successful language learners.

Many students use popular social networking sites such as Facebook and Messenger on a regular basis as a learning partnership. The objective of this study was to identify the effects of Facebook utilization on the language learning proficiency of college students. Further, the study used qualitative research design, more specifically, a phenomenological approach, to learn the experiences of the college students about the said problem to arrive at a description of the nature of the phenomenon. There were ten (10) participants who were highly involved in this research: five (5) for in-depth interviews and five (5) for focus group discussion. Results showed the following essential themes gathered during the interview as effects of using Facebook in relation to their language learning proficiency: new communication vocabulary, knowledge abundance, internet dependence, and grammar and spelling issues. When it comes to dealing with the effects of Facebook utilization on language learning proficiency, the following themes were generated: adapting to the new learning environment; asking for feedback from peers and teachers; and assessing the validity of the information. Lastly, the viewpoints of college students on the effects of using Facebook on their language learning process were the following: awareness of the effects of Facebook; a platform of learning and confusion; and Facebook as a learning aid. With these results being collected and evaluated, the researcher encourages students, teachers, and administrators to be extra careful in using social media. It should not be the sole learning environment to be used in a classroom as part of an asynchronous session but should be an aid to learning and communication.

Abstrak Dunia kini tengah disibukkan oleh pandemi Covid-19 yang mengakibatkan perekonomian menjadi menurun secara drastis. Organisasi dan sumber daya manusia mereka harus menavigasi melalui dampak keras dari penyakit virus korona baru (COVID-19). Krisis eksternal tersebut membutuhkan dinamisme sistem SDM untuk menangani kekhawatiran yang berkembang dari semua sektor di seluruh dunia dan khususnya, sektor formal Indonesia dan karyawannya. Departemen HR berfungsi sebagai penghubung antara organisasi dan sumber daya manusia mereka. Oleh karena itu, Pejabat SDM perlu memastikan keseimbangan antara keuntungan para pihak dalam kontrak kerja. Dalam upaya untuk menjamin bahwa kedua belah pihak terlayani dengan baik setelah periode krisis COVID-19, terdapat kebutuhan untuk mengintegrasikan kembali praktik dan prosedur sumber daya manusia yang ada. Melampaui krisis akan membutuhkan pembelajaran, inovasi, dan adaptasi. Praktik SDM perlu dimodifikasi, dibangun kembali, dan dipraktikkan. Dalam artikel ini, kami membahas tantangan dan startegi yang dihadapi oleh PT. Lestarindo Perkasa dalam menghadapi pandemi dan bagaimana tantangan ini dapat dikurangi melalui penyesuaian kembali praktik SDM dengan mempertimbangkan konteks lokal Indonesia Abstract The world is currently busy with the Covid-19 pandemic which has caused the economy to drastically decline. Organizations and their human resources must navigate through the harsh effects of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19). This external crisis requires a dynamism of the HR system to address the growing concerns of all sectors around the world and in particular, Indonesia's formal sector and its employees. The HR department serves as a link between organizations and their human resources. Therefore, HR Officials need to ensure a balance between the benefits of the parties in the work contract. Because the employer aims to maximize profits, the employee aims to maximize the satisfaction of his job. In an effort to ensure that both parties are well served after the COVID-19 crisis period, there is a need to reintegrate existing human resource practices and procedures. Transcending crises will require learning, innovation and adaptation. HR practices need to be modified, rebuilt and put into practice. In the 'New Normal', the accounting industry is experiencing heavy pressure associated with artificial intelligence (AI). The purpose of this study is to examine the ways and how organizations are harnessing the power of artificial intelligence in the accounting industry through the lens of KPMG. There are 39 employees from the KPMG who responded through a structured questionnaire on Google Forms circulated among the employees of the company. The data collected were analyzed and presented in the table of numerical terms. The results showed there is a significant positive relationship between the adaptation of AI in the accounting tasks in KPMG company. The results of this study reflect upcoming AI practices that will be sent to the KPMG to enhance awareness and adopt artificial intelligence applications for better productivity. These findings can help the accountants in clearly understanding how they can use AI technology to improve the accounting standards.

Saat ini, dunia telah digemparkan oleh penyebaran virus baru yaitu coronavirus jenis baru (SARS-CoV-2) dan penyakitnya disebut Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). Diketahui, asal mula virus ini berasal dari Wuhan, Tiongkok. Ditemukan pada akhir Desember 2019 dan sampai saat ini sudah terdapat 4.761.559 kasus termasuk 317.512 kematian (di seluruh negara yang terjangkit) akibat COVID-19  (Data WHO, 20 Mei 2020). Karena vaksin yang dapat menghalau COVID-19 belum ditemukan, akhirnya gerakan Stay At Home adalah alternatif yang paling tepat dilaksanakan agar mengurangi kesempatan terjangkit COVID-19 sembari menjaga kebersihan seperti menyediakan disinfektan, menggunakan masker, mencuci tangan, melakukan physical distancing, menghindari keramain dan lain sebagainya. Akibatnya, segala aktivitas terhambat, baik itu dibidang perekonomian, pariwisata, dan lain-lain. Tentunya, banyak kerugian yang ditimbulkan. Namun, dilihat dari hambatan yang dialami, ada beberapa perubahan signifikan yang terjadi khususnya sikap masyarakat agar dapat terus melanjutkan aktivitasnya hingga sikap-sikap ini berubah menjadi suatu kebiasaan baru.

Pembelajaran era new normal menuntut dosen untuk mampu mengajar dan melakukan pengelolaan pembelajaran secara efektif dan juga mampu membangun hubungan efektif dengan peserta didik serta mampu menggunakan teknologi untuk mendukung pembelajaran dan melakukan refleksi pembelajaran secara berkelanjutan. Dosen ditantang untuk membuat inovasi terkait penyelenggaraan pendidikan ini. Dosen menurut aturannya harus mengikuti protokol kesehatan di era new normal, mau tidak mau harus menyesuaikan diri dengan semua kondisi ini. Buku ini membahas hal penting yang perlu disiapkan oleh dosen yaitu mempelajari teknologi online learning dan mempelajari teknologi pengajaran gaya baru. Dua hal ini menjadi tantangan, sekaligus peluang.

Ang paggamit ng cellphone ay naging importanteng instrumento para sa pagkatuto ngayong nasa gitna ng pandemya dulot ng Covid-19. Hindi lingid sa kaalaman ng lahat na naging isang malaking dagok sa sistema ng edukasyon ang nangyaring ito. Bagamat, madalas nating marinig sa mga estudyante na sila ay nahihirapan sa ganitong sitwasyon, gayun din ang nagiging danas ng mga guro.

Ayon kina Sharples, Taylor at Vavoula (2005), ang teorya ng mobile learning ay nagiging mahalaga kapag ang tinutukoy natin ay ang gampanin ng mobilidad at komunikasyon sa larangan ng pagkatuto sa paghubog ng komidad sa paaralan. Kinilala naman ni Shuler (2009) na mas lumilitaw ang oportunidad sa teoryang ito sa pamamagitan  ng pagkilala sa uri ng pag-aaral na kahit kailan at kahit saan ay maaaring maabot ng bata. Ang abilidad na maabot ang mga batang hirap at nangangailangan ng aksesibol na uri ng pagkatuto, gayun din ang abilidad na mapaunlad ang kanilang interaksyong sosyal sa ika-21 siglo at kakayahang umangkop sa iba’t ibang sitwasyon sa pag-aaral at ang abilidad na magkaroon ng sariling karanasan sa pagkatuto.

Ang pangunahing layunin ng pananaliksik na ito ay upang malaman ang persepsyon ng mga estudyante ng Bilibiran Elementary School ukol sa paggamit ng cellphone bilang isang kasangkapan sa pagkatuto sa panahon ng New Normal Education.

Gumamit ng Survey-Questionnaire ang mga mananaliksik upang makalap ang datos para sa pag-aaral na ito. Gamit ang Google Forms, ito ay pinasagutan sa mga mag-aaral ng Bilibiran Elementary School sa ika-limang baitang.

Ayon sa datos na nakalap ng mga mananaliksik, ang mobile learning ay isang pagkakataon para sa sistema ng edukasyon upang mamulat ang mga mag-aaral at ang mga guro sa makabagong uri ng pagkatuto na kahit ang cellphone na araw-araw ginagamit ng mga bata ay maaaring maging instrumento sa malaya at progresibong edukasyon. Isa rin sa mga natuklasan ng mga mananaliksik na walang makabuluhang ugnayan ang demograpikong propayl sa kanilang persepsyon sa paggamit ng cellphone bilang kasangkapan sa panahon ng New Normal Education.

COVID-19 pandemic has resulted drastic changes in education. Part of it is the shift from face-to-face classes to different learning modalities which include distance learning. Since education is believed to continue despite the circumstances, teachers started to prepare for modular and online distance learning. Teaching is possible, but, has challenges as well. Hence, this phenomenological research explored the lived experiences of secondary teachers in the Division of San Pablo City in the pre-implementation of distance learning in the new normal. The participants were selected through purposive sampling and underwent one-on-one actual in-depth interview through video conference. The documented interviews were transcribed and coded. Pendemi COVID-19 mempengaruhi berbagai bidang kehidupan termasuk pendidikan. Pelaksanaan pembelajaran tatap muka terbatas diseluruh satuan pendidikan dibuka sejak Juli 2021 melalui keputusan Menteri Pendidikan , Menteri Kesehatan,Menteri Agama dan Menteri Dalam Negeri terkait panduan penyelenggaraan Tatap Muka dimasa Pasca Pandemi Covid-19. Melalui pemanfaatan dan kreativitas inovasi teknologi dan komunikasi (TIK), sebagai tenaga pendidik dapat menggunakan berbagai cara pembelajaran yang bervariasi. Blended learning adalah strategi yang mengkombinasikan sistem belajar didalam kelas atau tatap muka, ditambah lagi dengan fenomena pandemi covid-19 yang semakin merajalela di Indonesia maupun mancanegara. Sedangkan sekarang adanya era "new normal" segala sistem pembelajaran dituntut untuk menyesuaikannya, sehingga dengan adanya sistem pembelajaran berbasis blended learning dapat menjadi suatu inovasi yang bermanfaat bagi pembelajaran di era "new normal". Hal ini diketahui oleh mahasiswa KKN UNTAG dan dimanfaatkan sebagai bahan acuan untuk mengajar di MI Nurul Huda Bangkingan RT-05 RW-01 Kecamatan Lakarsantri, Kota Surabaya untuk mengoptimalkan pembelajaran berbasis Blended learning di sekolah. Blended learning diharapkan dapat melengkapi dan menyempurnakan metode pembelajaran yang telah ada saat ini.
