Learning Activity Sheet, Negros SLM, downloaded PowerPoint presentations
IV- Procedure

A. Reviewing Previous Lesson

 Individual Activity
 Students will going to do the BRAIN TICKER ACTIVITY.
Directions: Eliciting Prior Knowledge through the Anticipation-Reaction Guide. The learners will
confirm their ideas about volcanoes using the Anticipation-Reaction (A-R) Guide provided. In the
Anticipation column of the A-R Guide, they are going to put a check on the corresponding statement
in which they agree with.

B. Establishing the purpose for the lesson

 Presentation of Objectives.

C. Presenting examples /Instances of the new lesson

Based on the pictures presented in the class, learners will going to answer the true or false activity
______1.Magma is an extremely hot fluid or semi fluid materials found under the Earth
surface.
_____ 2. Viscosity refers to the materials’ resistance to flow. The more viscous the material,
the lesser is the resistance to flow.
_____ 3. Basaltic to andesitic magma is non-explosive while andesitic to rhyolite magma is
explosive.
_____ 4. Magma with high temperature has high viscosity, while magma with low
temperature has low viscosity.
_____ 5. Composition, temperature, and pressure are the factors that contribute to the
formation of magma.

E. Continuation of the discussion of new concepts

 Class discussion on Volcanic Eruption
 Learners will going analyze the process of volcanic eruption. Arrange the process of volcanic eruption
into correct order using numbers 1-5.
