A discussion of the vibration mechanics behind the advent of consciousness of many sentient souls interacting with one another has been presented. It is emphasized that consciousness vibration is the most important phenomenon triggering and spearheading what we commonly refer to as organic ‘life.’ A brief account of the phenomenon of collective (unity) consciousness has been explicated, with more details being deferred to the publication of a companion paper on the subject matter. It is elucidated that the power of consciousness is not just confined to creationism or the necessity of ensuring the longevity of what has been created by a single being; consciousness is superpositional in nature, which means, it may be accentuated through the vibrations of the mind of many sentient beings who resonate harmoniously and synchronously with one another. In this respect, consciousness of one sentient being influences the consciousness of one or many other individuals. This is indeed, how we form the matrix of our reality. Moreover, consciousness has the propensity of multiplying or expanding, which is why the Prime Creator has only demanded one endeavor from all sentient beings, which is to strive to expand their consciousness. Thus, we are all potentially ‘consciousness generators.’ Accordingly, a discussion of the parameter of ‘consciousness expansibility coefficient’ introduced by the author before has been given, herein. It is explicated that the natural frequency of conscious vibration is proportional to the square root of the consciousness expansibility coefficient. In fact, the consciousness expansibility coefficient of a sentient soul describes a trait (or quality) of the soul that is analogous to the ‘stiffness’ of an elastic helical spring that could be loaded with life’s karmic forces. In this respect, it epitomizes the resilience of the soul to be able to withhold such forces. Moreover, it describes the capability of a sentient being to acquire more spiritual education, thus adding to the frequency of its consciousness. Clearly, the more resilient the soul of the conscious being is, the more propensity it has for enlightenment and ‘consciousness expansibility,’ without being prone to instability or buckling, falling out of Light. However, unlike the stiffness characteristic of a non-sentient material or being that acts as a ‘sink,’ it always undergoes a ‘conservative’ operation in which it never dissipates energy as long as the sentient being is allowed to experience life within a Tri-Wave or an open loop of free energetic dispensation as it is usually supplied by the progenitor God-SOURCE. The structure of the soul is so resilient that it can absorb and transform the residual inelastic karmic energies stored WITHIN, ensuring full recoverability. More specifically, a resilient sentient is capable of redeeming all its accumulated residual internal karmic energy stored WITHIN, through clearing and cleansing at a later date, without any eventual possibility of damage or degradation. This is in concert with what the author has introduced as the concept of ‘sentient vibration’ by way of a ‘conservative’ energetic transformation through returning to its initial equilibrium state of vibration in which it preserves its state of consciousness expansibility or natural frequency of consciousness. But, if the entity excessively expands away from its original equilibrium state (referred to as the Zero-Point Field), it may have to permanently shift its position from the initial Zero-Point Energetic Field (‘Neural Network of God,’ which also signifies the open loop or the energetic fountain supply provided by the God-SOURCE). This way, it behaves as a helical spring undergoing inelastic deformation, expanding away from the open loop energetic supply of God and eventually separating itself from the God-SOURCE (referred to as becoming ‘fallen’), changing to a non-sentient (non-organic) being.  And, the clearing and cleansing of the soul’s emotional body of the accumulated residual inelastic karma culminates in effectively restoring its diminished consciousness expansibility, and thus, its frequency of consciousness. It may even lead to effectively raising its natural frequency to its full potential, being capable to Ascend, permanently shifting its anchored equilibrium (domicile) state to a higher dimension. It is then said that the soul undergoes syntropy (consciousness expansion), effectively increasing its propinquity with respect to the SOURCE.  This is referred to as the state of ‘positive karma’ as opposed to ‘negative karma,’ a scenario in which the soul through the expenditure of entropic energies begins to deflect away from the God-SOURCE (diminishing its propinquity), effectively leading to reducing its consciousness expansibility and natural frequency of consciousness vibration. And, through syntropic energetic experience one eventually undergoes ‘Ascension’ through sequentially transmigrating its consciousness and anchoring itself to the higher (more inner) dimensions of consciousness. Note that the soul constitution (matter-antimatter), however, remains virtually constant. Thus, for all practical purposes, the natural frequency of the soul is determined by its extent of consciousness expansibility coefficient, which could constantly change. Ascension occurs when the body becomes crystalline, being comprised of a perfect structure without the presence of any defects or the possibility of ever developing any, rendering the body to become ageless. And, mathematically, crystallinity is synonymous with raising the ‘consciousness expansibility coefficient.’ And, with increasing consciousness expansibility coefficient, one becomes multidimensional, capable of exploring even higher dimensional realms of consciousness, with the dynamic position of equilibrium about which one usually vibrates being shifted higher or deeper in innerspace, gaining more propinquity with respect to the SOURCE. And, all this demands impeccability and gaining spiritual mastery. Since the prime directive specifies consciousness expansion, it is incumbent on the soul to acquire experiential endeavors that culminate in overall contraction to, versus deflection from, the SOURCE. And, this means positive karma, procured through creational endeavors and through benevolence and application of the principles of compassion and unconditional love and effectively having reverence for the provisions of the Law of One. Another aspect of consciousness expansibility is triggered through awareness and interaction of souls with one another in which one Soul Aspect acts as the Beacon of Light, spiritually awakening and enlightening its other Soul Aspects. Accordingly, the consciousness of a sentient being affects the consciousness of all other sentient beings, provided that they become aware of each other’s presence. Accordingly, the author has introduced a new parameter dubbed as the ‘consciousness expansibility linkage coefficient k_ij’, when the consciousness of one sentient entity i is envisaged to affect the state of consciousness of the sentient being j. Finally, equations are presented herein that describe the overall natural frequency and consciousness expansibility of a collective.

To increase communication and collaboration opportunities, members of a community must be aware of the social networks that exist within that community. This paper describes a social network monitoring system – the KIWI system – that enables users to register their interactions and visualize their social networks. The system was implemented in a distributed research community and the results have shown that KIWI facilitates collecting information about social interactions. Furthermore, the visualization of the social networks, given as feedback, appeared to have a positive impact on the group, augmenting their social network awareness.

The millimeter wave (mmWave) frequency band is seen as a key enabler of multi-gigabit wireless access in future cellular networks. In order to overcome the propagation challenges, mmWave systems use a large number of antenna elements both at the base station and at the user equipment, which lead to high directivity gains, fully-directional communications, and possible noise-limited operations. The fundamental differences between mmWave networks and traditional ones challenge the classical design constraints, objectives, and available degrees of freedom. This paper addresses the implications that highly directional communication has on the design of an efficient medium access control (MAC) layer. The paper discusses key MAC layer issues, such as synchronization, random access, handover, channelization, interference management, scheduling, and association. The paper provides an integrated view on MAC layer issues for cellular networks, identifies new challenges and tradeoffs, and provides novel insights and solution approaches.

Urban and non-urban settlements in many regions are usually located on the lands bordering shores, rivers, canals or streams. However, housing complexes, landfills, and areas for agriculture and mining are often assigned to locations without sufficiently detailed hydrographic information about subsequent potential if not actual flow and flooding impacts. Yet, for sustainable community planning with emphasis on harmonizing social, economic, environmental and institutional aspects, such information is essential. This article demonstrates how this need can in part be accommodated by way of digital elevation and wet-area modelling and mapping using the upper component of the Choapa watershed in Chile as a case study. The terrain of this area has sharply incised valleys, with communities, fields and roads strung narrowly along the Choapa River and its tributaries. Above these locations along the Estero de Los Pe-lambres near the Chile-Argentina border are major mining and mineral refining activities. This article provides modelling and mapping details about the wet-to-moist area zonation along the upper Choapa River valleys, and addresses some of the mining-induced changes from 2000 to 2010.

A numerical study has been conducted to investigate the fluid flow and heat transfer of an air-cooled metal foam heat exchanger under the high speed laminar jet confined by two parallel walls for which the range of the Reynolds number is 600–1000. Two independent numerical solvers were used and cross-validated being a FORTRAN code and the commercially available software CFD-ACE. The effects of local thermal non-equilibrium, thermal dispersion, porosity, and pore density on the heat transfer augmentation are examined for different Reynolds numbers. Application of energy flux vectors, for convection visualization, is also illustrated for a more comprehensive analysis of the problem. Finally, the performance of the metal foam heat exchanger is compared to that of conventional finned design. It is observed that the heat removal rate can be greatly improved at almost no excess cost.

Increased density of wireless devices, ever growing demands for extremely high data rate, and spectrum scarcity at microwave bands make the millimeter wave (mmWave) frequencies an important player in future wireless networks. However, mmWave communication systems exhibit severe attenuation, blockage, deafness, and may need microwave networks for coordination and fall-back support. To compensate for high attenuation, mmWave systems exploit highly directional operation, which in turn substantially reduces the interference footprint. The significant differences between mmWave networks and legacy communication technologies challenge the classical design approaches, especially at the medium access control (MAC) layer, which has received comparatively less attention than PHY and propagation issues in the literature so far. In this paper, the MAC layer design aspects of short range mmWave networks are discussed. In particular, we explain why current mmWave standards fail to fully exploit the potential advantages of short range mmWave technology, and argue for the necessity of new collision-aware hybrid resource allocation frameworks with on-demand control messages, the advantages
of a collision notification message, and the potential of multihop communication to provide reliable mmWave connections.

Suppose you are preacher who wants to speak a word to a polarized situation. Words take on meaning within a context and unfortunately yours is a situation divided between " right " and " left " (here meant very generally to signify the two poles of a divided society) with the result that your word will inevitably be subsumed into the narrative of one context or the other. This is unfortunate because the meaning of what you want to say is distorted when taken up into an alien context: if you speak you are bound to be misunderstood, whatever you say. Call this the preacher's dilemma. As a matter of fact, a third option is silence, but this too may be misunderstood, so it's probably more accurate to speak of a trilemma. However, this phrase is not so snappy and does not convey the tragic note that " dilemma " does, so I have decided to sacrifice pedantic accuracy in this instance. Perhaps I am caught up in the very dilemma about which I am writing. The preacher's dilemma was in my mind last week as I followed the papal visit to Myanmar and Bangladesh. Pope Francis had to decide whether or not to say the word Rohingya. He had previously shown solidarity with the Rohingya nine months ago in February calling them by their name, making clear that the Rohingya are " good people, " peaceful, and that they are unjustly persecuted. However, that word is taboo in Myanmar. The Muslims in Rakhine state are recognised neither by Myanmar nor Bangladesh, and so to refer to the stateless group is to wade into an ongoing political struggle, something that the Pope would wish to avoid. Moreover, local Catholic bishops advised him against antagonising the majority Buddhist society for fear of backlash, and the Pope would obviously regret that outcome, not only because of the harm done, but because he would aspire to work collegially, heeding local advice. On the other hand, not to use the word would upset Rohingya activists, and probably the Rohingya as a whole. In view of the attention of the world media the Pope possessed a megaphone like few others, so his words were at this moment were at a premium. Surely he should seize the opportunity for justice. What to do? If the Pope failed to speak truth to power (with the thundering volume of a Guardian editorial) that would appear an understandable betrayal. The author of the Politics once wrote that most men will what is noble but do what is expedient, and perhaps this was how western, liberal journalists framed the situation. No wonder, then, that Catholic commentators did not anticipate the visit with relish. It was planned when the de facto leader Aung San Suu Kyi carried the hopes of a peaceful resolution, before the military crackdown had expelled 600,000 Rohingya. But now the situation had become notorious and the UN had spoken in terms of ethnic cleansing. So, the pope's dilemma was compared with that of Pius XII who was criticised for not speaking out strongly against the Nazis (albeit to protect the innocent). Still, Francis had tweeted that he had looked forward to the visit: there was no going back. What happened was that the Pope met the leaders of Myanmar, first the military (in a rescheduled visit on Monday) and later the Nobel Laureate. On the Tuesday he spoke up publically for the rights of all, and the need for decisive action, but to the dismay of activists, refrained from mentioning Rohingya or ethnic cleansing. Then he travelled to Bangladesh and on the Friday in Dhaka at an inter-faith gathering met twelve Rohingya including a twelve year old girl whose entire family had been murdered by the military. This letter offers a statistical analysis of the basic two-hop Amplify-and-Forward link, where the relay node is selected based on instantaneous and partial knowledge of the channel. In contrast with previously reported work, where relay selection requires global knowledge (2 hops) of the relaying link, the problem considered is interesting in practical ad-hoc systems, where only neighboring (1 hop) channel information is available to the nodes. The probability density function of the received signal-to-noise ratio for the considered relaying link is approximated in closed form, and an asymptotic exponential expression is proposed to simplify performance estimation.

This paper proposes a security architecture for optical code division multiple access networks based on lattice cryptography. Unlike existing approaches, which have mainly focused on optical components such as phase masks and delay lines, our cryptosystem encompasses a secure code construction process. In fact, given a set of optical orthogonal codewords, we associate a pair of bases (a public basis and a private basis) to every user and we show that the projection of a codeword on the public basis of the receiver and the addition of a random error enhances the confidentiality performance of the code. The proposed public key cryptosystem is based on lattice cryptography. The security of this scheme relies mainly on the complexity of the closest vector-problem in an integer lattice. We found that our technique performs better than the existing approaches in terms of robustness to cryptanalysis. We also study the security of our lattice cryptosystem with regard to the properties of the bases pairs and the error vectors.

Некоторые исследователи поддерживают эту точку зрения, отмечается, что типологические особенности ведомственных СМИ позволяют их отнести к классу корпоративных. Итогом такого подхода может стать расширение пространства изучения современных тенденций медиабизнеса. В статье рассматривается ключевое преимущество корпоративных медиа в борьбе за внимание аудитории – возможность, а иногда и обязательность их бесплатного потребления в рабочее (служебное) время.
Автор фокусирует внимание на том, что основным конкурентным ресурсом корпоративных печатных СМИ является их уникальное положение в структуре времени аудитории. Это существенным образом влияет на положение медиаэкономики в целом.
В статье впервые представлены данные о ежемесячном объеме производства корпоративных изданий министерств и ведомств Российской Федерации, полученные в результате внутреннего исследования, проведенного Центром современного медиаменеджмента РАНХиГС в августе-сентябре 2015 года. Приведенные цифры позволяют говорить о значимости ведомственных изданий как инструмента внутренних коммуникаций. Многие организации – как государственные, так и частные – имеют в своем распоряжении еще и собственные теле- и радиостудии, обеспечивающие корпоративное вещание, интернет- и интранет-порталы.

English Abstract: The author proposes to examine department publications as a part of corporate media. Some researchers support this point of view, it is noted that the typological features of the department media allow them to be classified as corporate. As a result, the scope of studies of contemporary media trends can be largely extended.
The article regards the key advantage of the corporate media in its competition for the attention of audience – possibility, and sometimes obligation of their free consumption in working (office) time.
The author emphasizes the fact that the main competitive resource of the corporate print media consists in its unique position in its audience time schedule. This has a significant impact on media business in general. The paper first-ever presents data on monthly production of corporate publications of ministries and departments of Russian Federation, received as result of an internal study performed by the Center of Modern Media Management of Russian Academy of National Economy and Public Administration (RAN EPA) in August-September 2015.
The data gives evidence of in-house periodicals importance for corporate communications. Many organizations, both public and private, have at their disposal corporate broadcast TV or radio studios, Internet and Intranet channels.

Aims and objectives.  Based on a secondary analysis of data from a large qualitative study on cancer care communication, we address the question: what do patients with advanced cancer identify as helpful in their communication encounters with health care providers?Background.  Communication is of critical importance to the care of patients with advanced cancer. A better understanding of what such patients identify as helpful in their communication encounters with nurses and other health care providers seems critical to creating evidence-informed recommendations for best practices.Design.  Secondary analysis of qualitative interview data.Methods.  Data from 18 participants interviewed individually and 16 focus group participants, with advanced cancer in the palliative phase of care. Interpretive description methodology informed data collection and analysis.Results.  Findings suggest four key elements are critically important to consider in communications with patients in an advanced or palliative phase – respecting the importance of time, demonstrating caring, acknowledging fear and balancing hope and honesty in the provision of information.Conclusions.  Communication is an important element in the provision of advanced cancer care.Relevance to clinical practice.  Findings emphasise the complex meanings inherent in cancer care communication and identify central themes that are fundamental to effective cancer care communication.

To study the possible role of Flemish period drama in the formation of national identity, this research analyses both its textual representation of Flanders and its context of production and reception. Based on qualitative content analysis, the textual analysis discloses a clear discourse about Flanders: mostly based on literary sources, these serials portray the poor, rural Flanders of the early 20th century, emphasising folkloric culture, dialectic language and stereotypical characters. This discourse was created within the productional context of the monopolistic public broadcasting system, which deliberately aimed to stimulate Flemish culture. On the reception side, the period serials were harshly criticized but also lauded for their 'realism' and 'recognisability', which confirms their success in constructing a credible national image. Taken together, the analyses of production, texts and reception suggest that period drama indeed played an important role in the construction of a Flemish identity.

This research aims to reveal the interactions between e-shopping and in-store shopping using a sample of Internet users in the Minneapolis-St. Paul metropolitan area. This report summarizes previous research on the interactions among spatial attributes, e-shopping, and travel behavior and makes eight recommendations for future research. Guided by the recommendations, this study adopts an innovative research design by integrating a conventional shopping survey with an activity diary. This report provides a detailed description of survey development and implementation and points out several common pitfalls in survey administration. This report also presents results on the interactions. Specifically, two ordered probit models and structural equation models were developed to investigate the influence of geography on online shopping usage and the influence of e-shopping on traditional shopping.

The role of ICT in education is not homogeneous; ICT currently provides a growing range of tools to manipulate digital data, as well as access to the vast range and variety of content which underpins the information age, only some of which is designed to support
learning. In order to harness the power of these technologies to serve science education it is necessary first to identify the precise objectives of that education and then to match appropriate use of the technologies to the achievement of those objectives. The role of ICT in two models of a science curriculum are considered here, one based on empirical science and one on a model of scientific reasoning.

Psychologists have studied attention-seeking disorder from a scientific (medical) perspective for years; however, an investigation of attention-seeking in a media intensive culture is a relatively new field of discovery for social scientists interested in researching the psychological implications of social media use on the self.  The advent of social networking sites (SNSs) has enabled users to become mass producers of content aimed at emoting everything from support, to empathy to anger.  In this research, data collected from Facebook was used to examine what users may be saying about their needs and attitudes by way of personal posts.  This research posits that individuals purposely seek various types of feedback through social media posts aimed and emoting empathy, affirmation or in some instances just generating ‘likes’.  The goal of this research was to a) analyze the effect of attention-seeking behavior on users and b) explore instances in which social media usage becomes a predictor for social behavior.

El siguiente artículo hace un acercamiento al fenómeno de la industria
publicitaria gráfica popular, concretamente en la ciudad de Bogotá, Colombia, a la cual recurren pequeñas y medianas empresas locales para el desarrollo de sus marcas nacientes. En el ejercicio de dicho fenómeno, se recurre constantemente a la imitación de marcas y tendencias publicitarias, práctica con la cual se desconocen los marcos legales pertinentes, con resultados negativos para las nuevas marcas nacientes. A partir de dos casos específicos, se reflexiona sobre las consecuencias que trae la imitación de marcas y tendencias sin acatar la reglamentación existente; también se reflexiona sobre la necesidad de profesionalizar dicho ejercicio, dado su crecimiento e influencia en el ejercicio publicitario de la ciudad.
