Recommender Systems have emerged to guide users in the task of efficiently browsing/exploring a large product space, helping users to quickly identify interesting products. However, suggestions generated with traditional Recommender Systems usually do not produce diverse results, though it has been argued that diversity is a desirable feature. The study of diversity aware Recommender Systems has become an important research challenge in recent years, drawing inspiration from diversification solutions for Information Retrieval. If we say World Wonder or Egypt, the first thing comes in everyone mind is Pyramid. But if our next generation asked what it is, we do not have a proper answer. If we answer one or two questions regard it, in the third question we will be locked. Scientists are still searching for facts to define the model. As we did not have idea, we easily connected everything with Religion and Life after death.  We have underestimated the knowledge level of ancient advanced civilization. But they made effort to transfer their knowledge to the future generations through inscriptions. It is believed 4500 years old ancient Egyptians had the wealth of knowledge in Astronomy, Mathematics, Human Resource Management, Resource Planning, Building Architecture, Mining, Physics, Chemistry and Medicine. Now the pyramid stands on the earth for spreading their reputation after several millenniums.

The article explains Heraclitus motives for introducing a philosophical method of inquiry, didzesis, known later on as zetesis. The method can be traced back to Xenophanes, while the term seems to be introduced by Parmenides. The philosophical inquiry is opposed to spontaneous discovery (heuresis). In its essence it can be compared with a route sketched on a map: the things sought are first met as obstacles (aporia) on the road, then their nature is recognized on the basis of certain signs and familiar features, a sort of preliminary knowledge. This kind of inquiry is very difficult, and Heraclitus compares it with goldmining. So let us call the method a "philosophical gold-digging" and observe that, if successful, it yields rare but very valuable results. The method is universal: it can be applied to the sense-perceptible world, human souls, as well as universal properties of things, i.e., the realm of intelligible.""

I never planned to write MuralGaga. At the time I didn't take too much notice of the original MuralGate story, but what ignited concern was the shootings on Good Friday, and also my anger at the Tablet editorial that I read Holy Saturday. I noticed that in his leader Brendan Walsh used language from Gaudium et Spes that I knew off by heart. Referring indirectly to the atomic bombs dropped in Japan, the Fathers of Vatican II affirm that the " vast destruction of cities and their inhabitants is a crime against God and humanity that merits unequivocal condemnation. " I found cadences of this strong language in the leader – yet as applied to solidarity with Jews in the context of a demonstration against Jeremy Corbyn! Even though I was well aware that this would have been penned on the Tuesday, I wrote an angry letter to the editor. As it happens Walsh replied, and later I discovered that he was to give the after dinner speech at a Conference on Catholic theology at Durham at which I was presenting a short paper. So, I wrote more kindly, and he reciprocated inviting me to seek him out at the conference. In the following issue (which like the previous, never mentioned the Palestinians) Dawn Foster wrote on MuralGate opening with a sentence on Luciana Berger. Again, I didn't take much notice, and had never heard of Berger – nor any other Jewish MP, though I had a vague recollection of who John Mann was (without knowing his actual name). This too raised a suspicion in me especially as Walsh mentioned sources in the Labour Party that he trusted (without revealing who they were). On Easter Sunday I was still very upset about Gaza, and for " revenge " consoled myself by reading (with the help of the New Jerome Biblical Commentary) the Prophet Amos. I was very moved by the book's pathos. And later that week I found myself writing a long letter to the Chief Rabbi about my reflections for which I received a polite reply. I've put this up on my academic site. i Still, my interest was not in MuralGate per se, though I was worried about Gaza, complaining, and then taking to another level, an angry correspondence with the BBC. I was outraged by the way that I thought that they had minimised and neutralised what I took to be the equivalent of Sunday Bloody Sunday. In doing this I was taking in much information from the internet, often not taking too much notice of my sources. Most of what I wrote in MuralGaga, then, I learned from scratch, but still had no particular interest in the scandal until April 15 th. This was when President Arkush of the Board of Deputies and Chairman Goldstein wrote in Comment is Free about how they had come to demonstrate on March 26 th. My instant reaction was to count the paragraphs (ten) and the number of those concerned with time (six). I was immediately struck by what I took to be the insincerity of the writers and their account of a " last straw. " From that time on I started thinking about MuralGate, and concern deepened when I read of the Commons debate on antisemitism. During that period I fired off many letters to the MPs in question (including my own who was refusing to reply to any correspondence). In fact, only Alex Sobel replied. His name had been in the Jewish Chronicle's article and so for that reason he was on my list. Actually, I know that he had said nothing that had upset me – very rudely, though, I told him that I thought his tweet on Gaza was as " bland as a Burt. " One thing that he said that stayed with me was to the effect that the issue of Labour antisemitism had been going on for some time. I should say that I found myself liking Sobel, and also his support for Meretz (the Israeli Labour Party had been moving to the Right when it split with Corbyn April 10 th) but I also felt he didn't want to speak out too strongly for rocking the boat. I also recall putting some thoughts together that I sent to Jonathan Freedland, eventually getting a reply that I thought insincere. He claimed to know the community well and that there was genuine anger, so that my " conspiracy theory " was just that. But he failed to discuss any points of substance – being under pressure to write a book. I also reached out to Keith Kahn Harris for advice, as I had been impressed by the way

In this paper I will defend N. R. Hanson's ideas that processes of discovery are a possible and highly important topic for philosophy of science. The area of discovery borders on a number of paradoxes but these paradoxes and tensions do not weaken any possible analyses, but rather they open up new possibilities to understand the dynamics of inquiry. One, classical paradox of inquiry is the so-called Meno- paradox (or learning paradox). I think that one implication of this paradox is that the interaction between theories and observations should be understood much more thoroughly than has hitherto been done. Charles Darwin's ideas about methodology fit very well into this kind of interactionist model.

The Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals annually decides , or in some other way disposes of, several hundred cases which might be considered to fall within the topic of criminal law and procedure. Several conclusions can be drawn from the cases decided by the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals during this survey period.

First, the court continues to adhere to a posture which reflects trust in the trial and pretrial process. That is, like most appellate courts, it views its role not as simply another forum for correcting all of the mistakes that have occurred in either the pretrial or trial process. Second, the court continues to present a united front in disposing of criminal law issues. Very few cases were marked with dissenting opinions. And in those few cases, the issues seemed close. Third, although several of the cases raised questions of first impression, such as the decision addressing the issue of compulsory urinalysis, most of the foregoing cases demonstrate the time-worn adage that "old" law is still good law. In reading the cases, one is left with the distinct impression that most of the issues have been addressed before and that the court views the newer cases as an extension of its precedent.

Finally, the Fifth Circuit has, for the most part, remained within the mainstream of the other circuits. In doing so, it has demonstrated a properly cautious attitude of permitting some issues to percolate and develop rather than rushing into breach and aggressively legislating a result.

In recent years, knowledge about the etiological mechanisms of carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS) has evolved significantly, allowing for a better understanding of this pain syndrome. Some studies have demonstrated that patients with CTS exhibit sensory symptoms not only within the areas innervated by the median nerve but also in extra-median regions, i.e., forearm or shoulder. It has also been demonstrated that patients with CTS may exhibit widespread pressure hypersensitivity and generalized thermal hyperalgesia, but not hypoesthesia, which is not related to electro-diagnostic findings. In addition, fine motor control and pinch grip force disturbances have been found to be commonly observed in this patient population. All these data suggest that central sensitization mechanisms are involved in the somato-sensory and motor disturbances found in CTS, probably related to cortical plastic changes. In this article we propose a series of hypothesis on Martin Waldseemüller’s enigmatic cartographic rep-resentations of 1507, highlighting the connections between his cosmography and Copernican cosmo-logy. The beginning of the conceptualization process regarding a “fourth part” of the world, which Waldsee-müller called “America”, implied a thorough review of the philosophical speculations on the traditionrelated to the characteristics of the Earth. By covering 360° degrees, Waldseemüller world map doubledthe Ptolemaic representation and encouraged the re-examination of the measurements of both the Earthand the universe. In turn, this strengthened the widespread idea of the earth’s movement; two key issuesin the development of Modern science. Furthermore, exploring the intersections between the work ofWaldseemüller and Copernicus, will allow us to consider the typical achievements and contradictions ofRenaissance science, to discuss their peculiar way of understanding the discovery of new lands, and todetermine the consequences of how information was processed.

Serendipity—using “fortunate accidents ” for learning or discovery—is a valued if too infrequent route to progress. Although serendipity cannot be scheduled or relied upon, one can develop skills, flexibility and habits of mind that make the recognition and incorporation of serendipitous discoveries more likely. The vision of the Internet of Things (IoT) based on Smart Objects (SOs) promotes an high-level architectural organization of the future IoT designed around the basic concept of SO. An SO is an autonomous, cyberphysical object augmented with sensing/actuation, processing, storing, and networking capabilities. An important issue in supporting future SO-based IoT systems is how to classify SOs. Classification of SOs is an important activity directly influencing the definition of effective SO discovery services and management systems. In attempting to write this very sketchy biography, I am doing what has been done thoroughly several times before.
In each of the other works about Michael Faraday, one thing is particularly noticeable and that is the humility which the biographers show in Faraday’s character and which they have in writing their works. This spirit of humility pervades each biography that I have read, so I hope it may automatically become part of my own effort. It is with these thoughts in mind that I start my description of Michael Faraday’s life and works.

Para tanto, busca analisar se há algum impedimento legal ou principiológico para a adoção do instituto no Brasil. Procura, ainda, procurar algumas disposições de normas internacionais e recomendações de renomados órgãos arbitrais internacionais, almejando verificar se a eleição do instituto seria interessante à parte brasileira. The Smart Internet Cooperative Research Centre aims to produce Internet technologies that are scaleable, intelligent and user friendly. Alongside four technology programs, a key research innovation of the SITCRC is the User Environment program aimed at ensuring technology outputs are user-centred and market focused. A challenge for researchers in this program is to ensure a user focus in the discovery phase of technical research where technologies and their functionalities are as yet poorly defined. With the traditional types of skepticism universally attacked and condemned, we are all familiar. The self-contradictory character of negative skepticism, detected in the assertion that ‘there is no truth’ is commonly assumed as sufficient to demonstrate its deadly fate. The self-contradiction is obvious and undeniable, but it should not be forgotten that the inconsistency visible from outside has not resulted in the demise of this theory. Rather, the value of skepticism has been significantly important to philosophy and science in general.

            This paper attempts to rescue skepticism from the charge that it is self-contradictory and infertile by exalting its value in science and philosophy in general, both as positive and fecund. For the sake of clarity, the paper is divided into three parts. First, it would attempt to define skepticism ranging from its extreme to milder forms pointing out the core epistemic problems posited by it; second, it would show how skepticism has been treated as a superfluous enquiry or position in philosophy with special reference to Hume’s approach towards it; third and last, it would conclude by pointing out the value of skepticism in philosophy and science where we may discover the proof of its universal applicability.
