Since late 2019, through constant fear reinforcement and censorship  in the media Agenda setting, the world was coerced to adopt irrational behaviors, knowledge, beliefs, and perceptions
Disdain for existing government authorities had been at its most record high of all times. One would have wondered what magic could ever be done, to make the people ever trust or align behind their leaders once more

W artykule omówiono w zarysie pojęcia informacji oraz komunikacji informacyjnej, a także
wskazano na podstawowe przejawy manipulacji informacyjnych. Przybliżono zagadnienie
dezinformacji, z uwzględnieniem najczęściej stosowanych metod dezinformowania. Ponadto
w tekście przedstawiono zagadnienie brokeringu informacyjnego jako jednego z wielu
możliwych ogniw w mechanizmie obronnym przeciw dezinformacji.

The media world cannot escape a kind of the "introspection", showing the ways mass media function, how they influence the audience, and, in so doing, what methods and techniques are used. Therefore, for almost a hundred years, cinema has repeatedly addressed the storylines related to the work of the press, television, radio, film studios (and now also Internet agencies), to the stories of journalist investigations, election campaigns, etc. Meanwhile, the work of the employees of media agencies is often portrayed in a rather negative light, revealing many ulcers associated with media manipulations, information wars, direct forgery, etc. The article analyzes the ways cinema, to a large extent, presents the media (press, television, Internet) as a source of media manipulation and fraud, and the work of journalists as a technology for deceiving and managing the mood of the mass audience just to please the mighty. Materials of our research are academic books and articles on media manipulation and the topic of media manipulation in movies, films about media manipulation, as well as Internet sites. Methodology is based on theoretical framework on the relationship, interdependence and integrity of the phenomena of reality, the unity of the historical and the logical in cognition, the theory of the dialogue of cultures. The research is based on a content analysis and comparative approaches. The following methods are used: data collection (films, monographs, articles, reports) related to the article's theme, analysis of the films and academic literature, theoretical analysis and synthesis; generalization and classification.

The paper provides an overview of information distortions in social media, purposely created by political and business circles. Mechanisms of fake accounts, social media bots and virtual identities creation are analyzed comprehensively.

"There is a striking contrast between the dissemination of the concept of neopatrimonial rule in Africa and its more parsimonious mobilisation outside the continent. The increasing assimilation of the African neopatrimonial state to integral and predatory forms of politics has contributed to its perception as a global prototype of the ‘antidevelopmental’ state. The article contrasts this trajectory with those observed in Latin America, South East Asia, Russia and Central Asia. There, patrimonialism and neopatrimonialism have been associated with
a greater axiological neutrality than in Africa due, inter alia, to the
preservation of an analytical dichotomy between regulated and predatory forms of neopatrimonialism. Neglected for all too long, the study of regulated forms of neopatrimonialism in Africa calls for fresh empirical and theoretical attention."

Media manipulation and psychological war in Ukraine and the Republic of Moldova is a battleground of various psychological methods in order to subordinate the masses often under cover of alleged common good. In this regard Russian propaganda machinery is one that works perfectly since the Soviet period. Ukrainian crisis swept the struggle for Ukraine's informational space which has also affected neighboring countries, here referring to Moldova. The conflict between Ukraine and Russia now is more ambiguous because information warfare methods and techniques have become more sophisticated and aim directly to misinformation, informational intoxication and propaganda through the media.

Howard Gruber, a founder member of Psychologists for Social Action, reviewed the dissertation. His review, dated May 7, 1978, as Parkovnick (2015) points out, "... is worth quoting in full, as it captures the very essence of the dissertation":
“This is an effective dissertation and could become an important book. I began reading it very favorably disposed to it. Then I got more and more riled up, made many hostile notes. By the end I found myself almost won over, certainly illuminated. Francks [Gruber’s spelling] has a style that gets under your skin and stays there. This is a good thing and should not get lost in the process of expansion, rewriting, and editing. It will take some work to make it a persuasive book to a less sympathetic reader, and to reduce its present excessive vulnerability to academic criticism. Its very sweep opens many avenues to criticism, crit. of a kind that detracts the reader and potential reader from the central ideas. But all this can be worked out. As an academic type, I often find myself cringing, wanting things toned down. Having analyzed a number of published research papers, the authors of the article come to conclusion that manipulations in the scientific world can, inter alia, manifest themselves in the following forms:-substitution of the authorship, that is, replacement of the surname of a little-known author with the surname of a scientific celebrity (manipulation technique "appeal to an authority") subsequently distributing the now false scientific text on the Internet. This manipulative technique, in the absence of an authenticity check obligatory in such cases, causes a whole loop of citations and references in scientific journals of different countries, since scholars who cite the fake are mistakenly convinced that they are dealing with a genuine article from a respected author; the purpose of this manipulation is not to derive direct benefits for the manipulator, but a kind of scientific trolling: to prove to the academic audience that by falsely attributing the name of an author authoritative in the scientific world to someone else's mediocre text, it is possible to make other scientists take this fake for genuine scientific work;-the use of scientific works written in a foreign language (without correct references and citations) in their publications (manipulative technique of direct plagiarism) for gain purpose of appropriating another person's piece of writing, passing it off as their own. The present study has revealed an urgent need both for researchers and for academic journals' editors-to carefully verify quoted sources that may be false. Representatives of the scientific world, traditionally considered to be the most informed community, must not become victims of manipulative influences.

The 21st century brought a kind of media explosion: every day more and more people of different ages are becoming involved in interactive multimedia processes (which have been radically influenced by the development of satellite television, the Internet, mobile telephony and smart phones), access to information has become almost unlimited, moreover, in many more formats. As never before, the audience began to spend a significant amount of time on access to new multimedia opportunities, on creation, consumption and distribution of media texts of various types and genres, on interaction in a variety of media environments. Against this background, it becomes clear to a much larger number of people and organizations that media illiteracy can lead to very real negative political and social consequences. Of course, false news and other misinformation have been around before, but it is now that media manipulations have acquired a truly global scale. That is why audiences of any age need media competency. Numerous studies prove that media education can give positive results in terms of knowledge, skills and attitudes in terms of analysis and critical reflection of media and misinformation. At the same time, one should not forget that misinformation originators, groups conducting political campaigns using data from social networks, extremists and agents of the "troll factories" have a high level of media competence. Therefore, citizen's media competencies alone are not enough: in order to resist media manipulation at a democratic state level, it is also necessary to develop the activities of media agencies of various levels and state structures.

Resumen: El trabajo intenta demostrar que la ambigüedad en su sentido tradicional ha de diferenciarse de la vaguedad y de la omisión de información gramatical o léxica, tan frecuente en los titulares de prensa. Un análisis minucioso de los ejemplos de nuestro corpus nos ha llevado a elaborar algunas conclusiones relevantes en este campo: 1. En ambos tipos de prensa-tradicional y digital-y en las lenguas sometidas a análisis-español, francés y polaco-, la frecuencia de los titulares ambiguos, en el sentido clásico del término, es notablemente baja.  2. Entre los ejemplos analizables, la más frecuente es la ambigüedad de tipo léxico, particularmente en titulares no informativos y en prensa electrónica. 3. La presencia de ambigüedad pragmática o sintáctica en los titulares de prensa parece ser científi camente insignifi cante. En último lugar, el trabajo arroja luz sobre un aspecto que no se aborda normalmente en los trabajos sobre el discurso periodístico, es decir, se intenta comprobar que la ambigüedad es un fenómeno que aparece a menor escala en los medios ofi ciales-periódicos-y en mayor medida en medios menos ofi ciales (portales electrónicos) que reúnen lo informativo y el ocio.

This thesis explores the Indian Social Media Manipulation-industry (SMM), an illicit and informal undercurrent to the platform economy, trading and producing manipulated and distorted data that augment its customers’ online reputation and potential reach, such as likes, followers, reviews, views, or comments. First, subjectivities, social backgrounds, strategies, and desires of some of the entrepreneurs involved in this trade are discussed, as well as practices such as review-farming and panel re-selling. Here, it is argued that knowledge, risk-management, diversification, and networking are capacities necessary for survival in this volatile market. Secondly, parts of the SMM-industry are examined in relation to political processes, showing also how the actors in their turn influence said processes back. The observations are discussed in the light of theories of disinformation as an outcome of specific forms of labor, rather than of emerging technologies. Furthermore, the loyalties and bonds created between political actors and entrepreneurial subjects who aspire for a place in India’s “New Middle-Class” are analyzed. The last part of the thesis offers a focus on the different forms of labor representative for the SMM-industry, which can be understood with theories of informal and immaterial labor. The fragmentized labor distributed along networked supply-chains has moved to the social spheres of reproduction: homes, communities, and neighborhoods, but is far from unregulated. Instead, social institutions, such as patronage, re-emerge here in a new setting to structure the informal and precarious labor– simultaneously coercive and protective. The concluding discussion argues that the SMM-industry needs to be understood as an outcome of capitalist development and dynamics, on the one hand, and cultural or social institutions and discourses on the
other hand.

"Information or manipulation? Analysis on selected ads  example "  >>>>>    >>>>>>  Communication with the milieu is one of the key manifestations of human social life. With inventions such as print, television and the Internet, many people can be informed about an event in a very short time. Such mass communication channels are also used to spread advertising. It is worth of mentioning, that a classic advertising consists of two components: information and persuasion; the first is to reduce a lack of knowledge of a recipient, the second - to convince him to follow the appeal showed in a message. Between the two elements a balance should be.
Despite of a practical value of advertising, and sometimes even an artistic value, it is widely believed that because of advertising people have false picture of the world. The prevalence of advertising did not make people immune to persuasion and manipulation, but made them indifferent, and are not aware of its impact. Therefore, this article shows characteristics and manifestations of manipulation in advertising, using Amber Gold as an example..

The discussion of narcissistic-psychopaths has been continued with the concerted emphasis on manipulation being used as a tactic to control others with the underlying agenda of the service to self only for these individuals to get what they want, need, or desire, no matter what the cost may be to the others. This is part II of a three-part discourse indicating that these narcissists-psychopathic tyrants ultimately bring nothing than mayhem, while preying upon other humans by using emotional manipulation. The nature of these narcissists-psychopaths-tyrants are discussed in part I while the question of leadership is addressed in part III.  Overall, it is explicated that no matter what narcissists-psychopaths claim, the last thing they have in mind is effective leadership leading to comfort and prosperity for the human population at large, unless it provides a more effective means for them to deceive and lie to the public in order to be able to ultimately control people, leading to their suppression-oppression as tyrants that they are. The discourse also includes the cause and motivations of manipulation as well as a detailed discussion of the manipulation techniques that these tyrants often employ to get what they want. And, the saddest and the most pathetic aspect of this is that they often target those that are gullible, who do not resort to mindfulness and critical thinking, being easy victims amd targets for such manipulations, who are often used as scapegoats by these tyrants to achieve what they want. They also target highly adept spiritual individuals in SERVICE TO ALL for the reason of carrying out the energetically parasitic-vampiric agendas of the negative aliens, or for the sake of negating self-responsibilities for their own failures while feeling gruntled for having lost an opportunity that was of high importance or dire consequence to them, giving them the impetus to choose such underhanded strategies as malicious gossip and triangulation and such in order to embark on a character assassination attempt regarding such spiritual entities. Accordingly, the subject of futile gossip, triangulation, and such methodologies as splitting and compartmentalization used as a way of negating self-responsibility and self-accountability and for coping with their inherent anxieties, fears, and failures with regard to not having been able to succeed achieving what they wanted, is illuminated upon. Included is also a discussion regarding negative aliens’ influence and Satanic-Luciferian Black Magic that is the underlying cause of such manipulations, control, and tranny. Finally, the discourse concludes with an account of a recommendation for negating such pathological thinking and fabricated reality, as well as how to overcome or avoid emotional manipulation.

The paranoia of nothing is as it seems and the big cases are actually not a coincidence but conscious speculations makes the people be tend to believe more in the truth of artistic world we live. The inclined form of the human nature makes human be ready for manipulation. Media and advertisement industry manipulates the conditions until reaching by targeting the people tent to manipulation and tries to enable the whole people to perceive this imaginary reality as actual reality. Both politics and capital needs this kind of distraction to become more powerful and survive. Because product is for consumption and to create consumption habits and maintain it extensionally, consumer must perceive the product as perfect and believe it unconditionally and be dependent on it. The way to create this dependence is to clear of its defects, to manipulate it for making it attractive. Manipulation trials of advertising, the big game is to make us believe its own reality and to continue to be involved in our lives slily. it.

Starting from the point of five main myth mentioned on Mind Managers book of Herbert Schiller, this notice aims to research the manipulation trials performed on society by advertising industry and media.

Dystopian literature is considered a branch of science fiction which writers use to portray a futuristic dark vision of the world, generally dominated by technology and a totalitarian ruling government that makes use of whatever means it finds necessary to exert a complete control over its citizens. George Orwell’s 1984 (1949) is considered a landmark of the dystopian genre: it portrays a futuristic where a totalitarian, fascist party rules London aiming to keep its citizens under their complete control. This paper will take two examples of contemporary dystopian literature, Philip K. Dick’s “Faith of Our Fathers” (1967) and Alan Moore’s V for Vendetta (1982-1985), in order to closely analyze the influence that Orwell’s dystopia played in their construction. It will focus on how these two works took Orwellian vision of a totalitarian state, the different methods of control it employs to keep citizens under complete control and submission, and how they introduce them into their stories.

La ciencia ficción es uno de los géneros cuye auge se encuentra al alza hoy en día. De entre sus diversas ramificaciones, la literatura distópica es una de las más usadas por los escritores para proyectar una visión del mundo oscura y futurista, dominado por la tecnología y caracterizada por un gobierno totalitario que hace uso de todos los medios que encuentra necesarios para ejercer un control total sobre sus ciudadanos. La novela de George Orwell 1984 (1949) es considerada un hito del género distópico: en ella, Orwell retrata un Londres futurista, gobernado por un partido fascista y totalitario, cuyo mero objetivo es el control total sobre sus ciudadanos. El objetivo de este ensayo es analizar dos ejemplos de la literatura distópica contemporánea, por un lado "La Fe de Nuestros Padres" (1967) de Philip K. Dick, así como la novela gráfica de Alan Moore  V de Vendetta (1982-1985), con el objetivo de estudiar la influencia que el modelo distópico de Orwell desempeñó en la construcción de las distopías anteriormente mencionadas. De igual modo, este ensayo se centrará en cómo estas dos obras tomaron las representaciones de Orwell de un estado totalitario, los diferentes métodos de control que éste emplea para mantener a sus ciudadanos bajo un estado de absoluta sumisión y control, y cómo plasmaron éstas representaciones en sus respectivas obras.

A fost posibil și întrucât fenomenul a marcat istoria societǎţii în care trǎim. Comunismul a mizat pe manipulare, zorii României postdecembriste din manipulǎri au apǎrut. Ce diferǎ în cazul manipulării împotriva MISA în raport cu celelalte, este lipsa de de mizǎ. În cazul incitǎrii antimaghiare şi a mineriadelor erau în joc puterea politicǎ, influenţele puterilor internaţionale, aşezarea României pe continentul european. Aparte este şi lunga perioadǎ în care s-a desfăşurat şi se desfǎşoarǎ manipularea împotriva MISA, faptul cǎ ea continuǎ şi în prezent, după ce România a trecut, în principiu, de abc-ul democraţiei, devenind parte a Uniunii Europene.

The media is responsible for inciting violent conflicts. It does so through manipulation of the groups' emotions. This dissertation aims to provide an explanation of how emotion interacts with the media framing and what consequences it has on the groups’ social identification. The media in compliance with a set agenda apply strong political symbols to strengthen the framing effect on the targeted audience. Those symbols correspond to a group’s predispositions allowing the political elites to stir collective emotions. Regulation of the group’s sentiments eventually restructures cognitive basis of an individual receiver. Therefore, an individual forms prejudice, stereotypes and hostile opinion of an out-group. I conducted a single case study on the Ukraine Crisis 2014 to support the thesis statement with the empirical evidence. It explored the confrontations between ordinary Russians and Ukrainians in the series of events during that year. The analysis of the case study revealed that conflict had ideological rather than ethnic nature. New research is required to observe the changes in the collective behavior and thus the attitudes from the beginning till now. A long-lasting conflict, such as civil war in Ukraine, can inflict a psychological trauma especially on the younger members of society. To solve this problem, the situation has to be analysed both externally and internally. Recognising a post-conflict society as an institution allows applying the logic of the programs designed to improve institutional performance and communication through the direct engagement of people. Hence, the peace-building policies and strategies carried out by governments would be more effective and valuable if they reshape the attitudes and behavior of the people.

This essay outlines the characteristics of what I call the ‘totalitarian mindset’. Under certain circumstances, human beings engage in patterns of thinking and behavior that are extremely closed and intolerant of difference and pluralism. These patterns of thinking and behaving lead us towards totalitarian, anti-pluralistic futures. An awareness of how these patterns arise, how individuals and groups can be manipulated through the use of fear, and how totalitarianism plays into the desire in human beings for ‘absolute’ answers and solutions, can be helpful in preventing attempts at manipulation and from the dangers of actively wanting to succumb to totalitarian, simplistic, black-and-white solutions in times of stress and anxiety. I present a broad outline of an agenda for education for a pluralistic future. The lived experience of pluralism is still largely unfamiliar and anxiety inducing, and that the phenomenon is generally not understood, with many myths of purity and racial or cultural superiority still prevalent. Finally, as part of that agenda for education, I stress the importance of creativity as an adaptive capacity, an attitude that allows us to see pluralism as an opportunity for growth and positive change rather than simply conflict.

The paper proposes a new definition of the term "communication" through a new approach to the concept of "manipulation". The thesis is that all communication is manipulation or manipulation by reversible messages. Manipulation can carry positive or negative, so communication can be examined as a positive or negative subjective measure of impact. Genesis of manipulation been sought in the psychology of the crowd, and individual manipulant is called "crowdid". Perform dissection of information manipulation through two principal programs – forming and handling. Deploy a manipulative mechanism of information exchange referred to are the two most important prerequisites – censorship and transparency, and summarizes the specific characteristics of manipulative agenda. The study ends with an overview of the latest techniques of information handling-the speculative persuasion, suggesting manipulation of attention, "brainwashing" , disinformation and deceit in the computerized world of the Matrix.

El uso de las redes sociales en Colombia va en aumento, reflejado en
los estudios que ha realizado el DANE en los últimos años. Para los
jóvenes entre 16 y 27 años, se refleja la interacción hacia el manejo y
transferencia de información sobre diversos temas, incluyendo a la
política colombiana, conduciendo al cambio de hacer política y
afectando en su influencia que tienen en las redes sociales para sus
usuarios.
En la actualidad, la polarización política y las noticias falsas se han
convertido en un problema social. Cada vez se tiene menos control
sobre lo que se publica en las redes sociales, ya sea ejercido por
algún mecanismo automático o algoritmo, lo anterior se suma a que
un gran porcentaje de personas se informan únicamente de Facebook
o Twitter, abandonado los noticieros tradicionales (Yuste, 2020). De
esta manera, la falta de control se ve que en la política colombiana
genera caos y división en la sociedad, como la polarización que en los
últimos años se ve más marcada.
Con esta investigación, se analizará el efecto que tienen las dos redes
sociales (Facebook y Twitter) en las elecciones presidenciales del
2014 y 2018 y su influencia que tienen cada una de estas en la opinión
de los jóvenes en el departamento de Boyacá.

El presente trabajo pretende indagar en cómo el lenguaje se pone a la disposición de los oradores públicos (fundamentalmente, políticos y periodistas) para trasladar su mensaje ideológico. En particular, surge de la preocupación en torno al uso manipulador de las palabras en los géneros informativos (sobre todo, la noticia) para alterar la interpretación de los ciudadanos conforme a los intereses y creencias del redactor de la información.

Sincere researchers, alien from all forms of dogmatism and preconceptions, have the duty to research, analyze, verify every source or theory they encounter along the way. Without prejudice and without exception. In this particular period, faced with the impending global crisis, existential research and Operational work dedicated to the higher states of being are in any case influenced by profane events. One of the most critical aspects of the scenario is represented by the forms and methods with which information about events is conveyed. Some advocate the establishment of forms of censorship, others assert that information is manipulated in an instrumental way for unclear purposes …… .. As long as we remain entangled and bogged down on the surface, where opposing opinions confront each other asserting irreconcilable truths, describing the 'made' with distorting lenses as in a 'corridor of the amusement park mirrors' …… where nothing is what appears; until then we cannot assert ourselves that we are in the exercise of free will. The only antidote to ignorance, vaccine against the hypocrisy virus is the activation of our rational evaluation and judgment skills: a scientific, laboratory approach, where every information must be seen under a microscope, investigated, measured, verified. So an approach, as far as possible and as far as we are capable of 'aseptic and detached'. We believe it is important to exercise EQUANIMITY as far as we are capable.
For this reason, we propose, as an object of verification and experimental analysis, a text that has been circulating on the net for some time, which theorises some strategies of mass manipulation through the media. The author is an American university professor. To facilitate the start of the experimental research, we have accompanied it with translation, bibliography and references ... The proposal to sincere researchers is: 1) Analyze the text 2) Check the sources 3) Identify the individual formulations 4) Develop sample research aimed at denying or confirming the theories formulated. The theories formulated are of an unheard of gravity. The current crisis is just as unprecedented in severity. Check the theories formulated, so it is vital. Whether the result of the experimentation leads to dismantle them, proving their groundlessness, and that the result of the experimentation verifies and confirms their validity. With the hope that researchers with suitable qualifications and tools will dedicate themselves to research, give their operational contribution, making the results available (naturally accompanied by the description of the method followed, the tools used, the sources consulted).

I sinceri ricercatori, alieni da ogni forma di dogmatismo e preconcetti, hanno il dovere di ricercare, analizzare, verificare ogni fonte o teoria che incontrano lungo il Cammino. Senza pregiudizi e senza eccezioni. In questo particolare periodo, di fronte alla crisi globale che incombe, la ricerca esistenziale e il lavoro Operativo dedicato agli stati superiori dell'essere sono comunque influenzati dalle vicende profane. Uno degli aspetti maggiormente critici dello scenario è rappresentato dalle forme e modalità con le quali le informazioni sugli eventi vengono veicolate. Alcuni propugnano l'instaurazione di forme di censura, altri asseriscono che le informazioni vengano manipolate in modo strumentale per fini non chiari…….. Fino a che resteremo invischiati ed impantanati a livello superficiale, dove opinioni contrapposte si confrontano asserendo verità inconciliabili, descrivendo i 'fatti' con lenti distorcenti come in un 'corridoio degli specchi del luna park'…… dove nulla è ciò che appare; fino ad allora non potremo asserire a noi stessi di essere nell'esercizio del libero arbitrio. Unico antidoto all'ignavia, vaccino contro il virus dell'ipocrisia è l'attivazione delle nostre capacità di valutazione e giudizio razionali: un approccio scientifico, da laboratorio, dove ogni informazione va vista al microscopio, indagata, misurata, verificata. Quindi un approccio, per quanto possibile e fin dove ne siamo capaci 'asettico e distaccato'. Riteniamo importante esercitare, per quanto siamo capaci, l'EQUANIMITA'. Per questo proponiamo, come oggetto di verifica e analisi sperimentale, un testo che da tempo circola in rete che teorizza alcune strategie di manipolazione di massa attraverso i media. L'autore è un Professore Universitario americano. Per facilitare l'avvio della ricerca sperimentale, lo abbiamo corredato di traduzione, bibliografia e riferimenti….. La proposta ai sinceri ricercatori è: 1) Analizzare il testo 2) Verificarne le fonti 3) Identificare le singole formulazioni 4) Sviluppare ricerche a campione tese a smentire o confermare le teorie formulate. Le teorie formulate sono di una gravità inaudita. L'attuale crisi è altrettanto di una gravità inaudita. Verificare le teorie formulate, quindi è di vitale importanza. Sia che il risultato della sperimentazione porti a smontarle, dimostrandone l'infondatezza, sia che il risultato della sperimentazione ne verifichi e confermi la validità. Con l'Auspicio che i ricercatori in possesso di qualificazioni e strumenti idonei si dedichino alla ricerca, diano il loro contributo operativo, mettendo a disposizione i risultati, (naturalmente corredati della descrizione del metodo seguito, gli strumenti utilizzati, le fonti consultate).

This article is an interdisciplinary critical analysis of personalization systems and the gatekeeping role of current mainstream social media. The first section presents a literature review of data-driven personalization and its challenges in social media. The second section sheds light on increasing concerns regarding algorithms’ ability to overtly persuade—and covertly manipulate—users for the sake of engagement, introducing the emergence of the exclusive ownership of behavioral modification through hyper-nudging techniques. The third section empirically analyzes users’ expectations and behaviors regarding such data-driven personalization to frame a conceptualization of users’ agency. The fourth section introduces the concept of “algorithmic sovereignty.” Current projects that aim to grant this algorithmic sovereignty highlight some potential applications. Together this novel theoretical framework and empirical applications suggest that, to preserve trust, social media should open their personalization algorithms to a social negotiation as the first step toward a more sustainable social media landscape. To decentralize the immense power of mainstream social media, guarantee a democratic oversight, and mitigate the unintended undesirable consequences of their algorithmic curation, public institutions and civil society could help in developing and researching public algorithms, fostering a collective awareness so as to eventually ensure a fair and accountable “algorithmic sovereignty.”

The discussion around the problem of media manipulation has dramatically intensified in recent years, especially in connection with the spread of fake news via the Internet. For example, studies show that most people, unfortunately, do not distinguish between fake news and other types of news. However, the problem of fake news is not only related to fabricated media texts, but also reflects the audience's general dissatisfaction with traditional mass media, some influential politicians, parties and organizations. From the audience's point of view, the problem of fake news is not limited to false news-it also concerns low-quality journalism, political propaganda and misleading forms of advertising, (dis)trust in public institutions and media agencies. The fact, that in the modern media world unambiguously true and explicitly false information is becoming increasingly rare, further complicates the situation. As a rule, rather sophisticated manipulation techniques that mix reliable and fake information are being used, so there can be no simple judgements regarding the development of mechanisms to ban or remove false media information. Countering disinformation can be based both on technological (computer) algorithms and on qualitative analytics. We also believe that mass media education of the audience can effectively contribute to the development of analytical thinking and media competence of an individual. In particular, the synthesized typology of mass-media manipulation techniques (based on an analysis of scientific research) by the authors of the article can contribute to the development of media competence.

En diciembre del 2000, la Casa Blanca es tomada por un segmento de la élite nortreamericana.  Resultará, a la postre, que sólo transitoriamente podrá ejercer la hegemonía al interior del bloque en la estructural real de poder en la sociedad estadounidense. 
La élite que arriba a la cúspide de la estructura formal de poder de los USA, es una fundamentalmente ligada al negocio de las armas, el petróleo y la energía eléctrica.  Durante el siguiente bienio, siguiendo directrices de grupo y saldando compromisos previos, el titular del ejecutivo federal estadounidense aplicará medidas de dominación política y manipulación ideológica que, en el fondo, tienen el propósito real de suprimir cualquier obstáculo serio a la expansión, interna y a escala mundial, de su proyecto económico de fracción de clase. 
En el plano ideológico interno, los estrategas de esta élite se empeñan en lograr que la sociedad noramericana y mundial haga suya una cultura de resignación, individual y grupal, a una alevosa y premeditada ilegalidad de Estado.  Persiguen que esta cultura antijurídica funcione como el medio para lograr que queden impunes los delitos que se piensan cometer, formalmente desde la Presidencia, pero realmente desde las corporaciones.  Planifican cuidadosamente todo, a efecto de lograr que tenga arraigo social la cultura antijurídica de la ilegalidad  estatal selectiva, y por ende, para inmovilizar a la ciudadanía, al poder legislativo y al poder judicial;  para no tener nada que temer ante posigles sanciones;  para dar un autogolpe de Estado, en síntesis, que en la práctica implica la desaparición de los otros dos poderes.
Surge, sin embargo, una inssopechada resistencia.  Exponentes de una oposición ciudadanizada estadounidense, se yerguen como diques contra la marejada bushista.  Oponen una resistencia tal, que impiden que la cultura de la ilegalidad sea, confofme estaba previsto, el fundamento del justificante de las “glorias” del bushiato.    A dscribir e interpretar cómo se da esta lucha ciudadanizada, particulamrnete en el nivel de lo jurídico, es que se orienta el presente trabajo.

Edward Louis Bernays was an Austrian-American pioneer in the field of public relations and propaganda, referred to in his obituary as "the father of public relations". He combined the ideas of Gustave Le Bon and Wilfred Trotter on crowd psychology with the psychoanalytical ideas of his uncle, Sigmund Freud. He felt this manipulation was necessary in society, which he regarded as irrational and dangerous as a result of the "herd instinct" that Trotter had described. Adam Curtis's award-winning 2002 documentary for the BBC, The Century of the Self, pinpoints Bernays as the originator of modern public relations, and Bernays was named one of the 100 most influential Americans of the 20th century by Life Magazine.
