A few years ago, the Internet of (Web) Service vision came to offer services to all aspects of life and business. The increasing number of Web services make service recommendation a directive research to help users discover services. Furthermore, the rapid development of social network has accelerated the development of social recommendation approach to avoid the data sparsity and cold-start problems that are not treated very well in the collaborative filtering approach. On the one hand, the pervasive use of the social media provides a big social information about the users (e.g., personnel data, social activities, relationships). Hence, the use of trust relation becomes a necessity to filter and select only the useful information. Several trust-aware service recommender systems have been proposed in literature but they do not consider the time in trust level detection among users. On the other hand, in the reality, the majority of users prefer the advice not only of their trusted friends but also their expertise in some domain-specific. In fact, the taking into account of user’s expertise in recommendation step can resolve the user’s disorientation problem. For these reasons, we present, in this paper, a Web service decentralized discovery approach which is based on two complementary mechanisms. The trust detection is the first mechanism to detect the social trust level among users. This level is defined in terms of the users’ interactions for a period of time and their interest similarity which are inferred from their social profiles. The service recommendation is the second mechanism which combines the social and collaborative approaches to recommend to the active user the appropriate services according to the expertise level of his most trustworthy friends. This level is extracted from the friends’ past invocation histories according to the domain-specific which is known in advance in the target user’s query. Performance evaluation shows that each proposed mechanism achieves good results. The proposed Level of social Trust (LoT) metric gives better precision more than 50% by comparing with the same metric without taking into account the time factor. The proposed service recommendation mechanism which based on the trust and the domain-specific expertise gives, firstly, a RMSE value lower than other trust-aware recommender systems like TidalTrust, MoleTrust and TrustWalker. Secondly, it provides a better response rate than the recommendation mechanism which based only on trust with a difference equal to 4%.

In a generic context, adapting the documents contents is based on the user’s profile. Its main objective is to reduce the cognitive overload for the user. Despite the satisfaction of the experiments of previous works, the adaptation is still limited. The flexibility in querying semi-structured documents can resolve effectively the cognitive overload. In this way, our work is oriented towards the flexible content adaptation of XML documents. Our adaptation mechanism takes into account not only user interests but also the weighted query. However, the flexibility is the use of the techniques of approximate matching of trees between the query and the documents. This matching helps afterward in the process of adapting by raising the similarity at the structure and content level. Our approach provides to the user a re-ordering of documents based on his profile. This ordering is linked to the implicit ordering of the documentary unit associated with the documents. Its objective is to provi...

The number and the heterogeneity of multimedia contents handled by information systems are increasing steeply. These contents are indexed in order to produce some metadata that are used during the retrieval process. However, several existing metadata standards can be used for describing the multimedia contents and choosing a particular one does not cover all the metadata features. A solution is the mixing of these standards and formats, but this does not ensure interoperability. To overcome this problem, we have proposed a generic metadata framework that could encapsulate the most common metadata standards. In this paper, we present the validation of this framework in the context of the LINDO project.

ABSTRACT Existing works about user profile modeling always model the user as an independent entity. However, in social sciences, many works show the user's behavior as strongly influenced by his social ties and/or social interactions. These results were difficult to integrate in user profile modeling because of the problem of capturing social data about users in infor-mation systems. With the advent of the social web for example, this barrier can be broken on the Web, and we can reasonably think about enriching users' profiles from social data. In this paper we propose a technique to develop users' profiles with social data. We built profiles from textual users' activities data, and we show through visualization of temporal graphs the relevance of social ties on built profiles with an experimentation carried out on 7, 081 Facebook profiles. These results motivated the potential implementation of new profiling techniques based on users' social networks, to enrich users' profiles and solve pending problems such as 'cold start problem' in personalized or recommender systems.

An implant of one-piece construction is made of a carbon carbon composite material having a texture of carbon fibers and a fiber interconnecting matrix also of carbon. The implant comprises a root portion and a coronal portion which may be frustoconical or cylindrical. A peripheral groove may be formed between the root and coronal portions permitting gum growth to grip the implant. The implant may be finned. A plurality of implants may be provided on a perforate blade. The axis of the coronal portion may be inclined relative to the axis of the root portion. In an embodiment, the root portion is gable roof-shaped and may be joined by a rod to form twin implants. Accessories adapted to the implant for mounting the dental crown are also shwon as well as a surgical instrument for cutting the gums before drilling the socket in the jawbone.

In this paper, we focus on the managing of multimedia document and more precisely on the annotation and the generation of adaptable multimedia documents. Our solution is directed towards analysing the ways to "bridge the gap" between physical and semantic levels, for multimedia document modelling and querying. Our goal is to describe how to model and unify features elicited from

The aim of this paper is to present a solution to cope with the problem of multimedia documents annotation in order to enable user's queries, based on content mining and structure eliciting from semi-structured documents. Whatever the media type, indexing aims at locating spatial and/or temporal (physical) segments. These segments correspond to strings of variable granularity. Their location requires relative or absolute addressing mechanisms, according to the context, as the finite co-ordinate space locator (fcs) in HyTime. Our approach relies on the availability of annotated metadata representing segment content and structure as well as segment transcripts (speech-to-text, closed caption). The available indexing and segmentation tools and techniques make it possible to build describers by eliciting the specific structure of each segment. The aim of this process is to propose a generic view of these specific structures, homogenizing them by combining the different media descri...
