    Công thức đối với tính từ ngắn (1 âm tiết)


    S + V + adj/ adv + er + than + ...
    Big (to), small (nhỏ), hot (nóng), cold (lạnh), thin (gầy), fat (béo), ...
    Vd: + She looks happier than (she did) yesterday.
    (Hôm nay cô ấy trông tươi tỉnh hơn hôm qua.)
    + He learns harder than his elder brother does.
    (Anh ấy học hành chăm chỉ hơn anh trai của anh ấy.)
    Lưu ý:
    + Những tính từ hai âm tiết, kết thúc bằng chữ "y" thì bỏ “y” thêm "ier" trong so
    sánh hơn và "iest" trong so sánh hơn nhất.
    Vd: Happy, easy, early, heavy, lazy, …..
    + (quick-quickly, love-lovely) -> ko phải tính từ ngắn
    2. Tính từ dài (Có 2 âm tiết trở lên)
    Beautiful (xinh đẹp), handsome (đẹp trai), intelligent (thông minh), hard-
    working (chăm chỉ)
    S + V + more + adj/ adv + than + ...

    Vd: + She is more beautiful than her sister.


    + Huong dances more beautifully than other competitors.
    *ĐT Tobe + Tính từ (is beautiful)
    *ĐT thường + Trạng từ (dance beautifully)
    3. So sánh hơn với danh từ
    S +V+ more+ N + than + ...

    Ví dụ:
    + She has more money than me.
    B. So sánh nhất
    1. Tính từ ngắn
    S + V + the + adj/ adv + est + (N)
    + ...

    Vd: + He is the tallest (student) in my class.


    + My mother gets up the earliest (person) in my family.
    2.Tính từ dài

    S +V +the+ most + adj/adv + (N) +...

    + My mother is the most beautiful (woman) in the world.


    + Mary sings the most beautifully in the group.
    3. Với danh từ
    S + V + the + most + N + ...

    Ví dụ:
    + He is a billionaire. He has the most money.
    *Lưu ý: Có một số tính từ và trạng từ không theo quy tắc trên

    C. So sánh ngang bằng

    1. Với tính từ và trạng từ


    S + V + as + adj/adv + as +…

    Ví dụ:
    + She is (not) as tall as Huong.
    + She learns as well as her sister does.
    *Lưu ý: Nếu là dạng phủ định, “as” ở trước tính từ có thể thay thế bằng “so”
    Vd: This dress is not so expensive as one

    2. Với danh từ
    a. Với danh từ số nhiều (đếm được)
    S + V + as many/ few + N (số nhiều) + as +…

    Ví dụ:
    + I have as many exercises as my brother does.
    + We have as few problems to solve as yesterday.

    b. Với danh từ không đếm được


    S +V + as much/little + N (không đếm được) + as +....

    Ví dụ:
    + I don't have as much money as you do.
    + My brother has as little time to play football as I do.

    1. No other building in the city is taller than the Empire State Building.
    ➔ The Empire State Building is the tallest building in the city
    2. The proposed solution is good, but the final design is the best version.
    ➔ The final design is better than the proposed solution.
    3. My house is small and ugly. Your house is spacious and beautiful..
     My house is different from your house.

    So sánh bằng “the same as” >< “different from”

    S + V + the same + (N) + as + N

    S + V+ different from + N

    D. So sánh kép

    1. So sánh luỹ tiến (càng ngày càng)


    a. Với tính từ ngắn
    Adj + er + and + adj + er

    Ví dụ:
    + The summer is coming. It gets hotter and hotter.
    b. Với tính từ dài
    more/less and more/less + adj

    Ví dụ:
    + She is more and more attractive.
    + The environment is less and less pure.
    c. Với danh từ
    more and more + N

    Ví dụ:
    + There are more and more people moving to big cities to look for jobs.
    2. So sánh đồng tiến (càng... càng)
    Công thức: the +(so sánh hơn) adj / adv+ S +V, the (so sánh hơn) adj / adv+S + V

    Ví dụ:
    + The older he gets, the weaker he is
    + The more difficult the exercise is, the more interesting it is.
    + The more I know him, the less I like him.

    *Lưu ý: “Much” là tính từ đặc biệt. Khi sử dụng so sánh hơn, ta dùng “More”

    1. Peter is the tallest in my class (No + so sánh hơn => So sánh nhất)
    2. According to me, Maths is harder than English.
    According to me, Maths is not so/as easy as English. (So sánh hơn => so
    sánh ngang bằng)
    3. Mary is the most intelligent in my group.

    5. No mountain in the world is higher than Mount Everest. (So sánh nhất =>
    No+ so sánh hơn)
    6. She is the prettiest girl I have ever met. (The first time => so sánh nhất)
    7. The more he works, the more tired he feels.
