El objetivo de esta investigación consiste en analizar el nivel de calidad en el servicio educativo de los estudiantes de Licenciatura en Administración en función de la evaluación del programa académico. El presente estudio es una investigación de tipo correlacional, el instrumento utilizado fue la encuesta aplicada a los estudiantes del ITLAC. Los resultados confirman la hipótesis inicial donde la evaluación del programa académico tiene una relación directa positiva en la calidad del servicio educativo concluyendo que el análisis documental ofrece distintas formas, métodos y estrategias para abordar la evaluación de la calidad mediante criterios e indicadores pertinentes para posibles cambios de mejora.

The intention of this article attempts to take in consideration the financial and administrative strategies and calculations carried out by the women-owned MSMEs in a Region Altos Sur of Jalisco, Mexico. The document intends to go deeper into the financial management strategies and women organization in the culture of savings, investments and credits, as well as correlation established financial resources of the company and those which are linked to their home. The methods used to gather the qualitative research and information were made through by depth interviews with five female-entrepreneurs and observations by the researcher, data was collected and analyzed according to set codes and categories in the Qualitative Data Analysis Software MAXQDA program. El presente trabajo tiene la finalidad de recapitular las principales teorías desde un enfoque sociocultural o institucional que fomentan la creación de nuevas empresas. Dado este contexto, se planteó la importancia del estudio teórico de los factores que influyen para tomar decisiones en el desarrollo de nuevas empresas y cómo afecta el entorno en el cual se desenvuelven los mismos empresarios. El método de investigación empleado es la revisión de la literatura existente mediante el análisis de las principales teorías que intervienen en la creación de empresas, enfatizándose en el enfoque sociocultural. Similarly, a spatial analysis of the last five governmental periods, comprising 26 years of foreign trade policies and its impact on foreign investments, foreign trade and main multinationals in Mexico, are done forcing them to centering in competitive productive processes and improving their internal organization, innovation and development.

The development of this work is aimed at emphasizing the devaluation suffered by the general minimum wage in Mexico, highlighting the need for its revaluation as a response to the economic marginalization of vulnerable sectors and regions with greater lag in the country, as well as a to stop the deterioration of the wage-earners' living standards mainly, taking into account the demands of nations with respect to the new Agreement between the United States, Mexico and Canada (USMCA). However, its recovery must be planned through a gradual process that allows the progressive adaptation with respect to its economic impact. For this, a qualitative and quantitative analysis was carried out, describing its deterioration, the loss of purchasing power, proposing a restitution scheme in a period of six years to avoid affecting financially organizations and SMEs mainly. En primera instancia, se identificala demanda de turismo cultural para conocer el perfil del turista cultural bajo los supuestos de que ellos tienden aviajar distancias más largas que la mayoría de los viajeros. Se estudian sus motivaciones y satisfacciones con elfin de establecer el potencial de mercado de acuerdo con las características del mercado meta en la región Surde Jalisco. The Mexican banking sector during 90´s it has had transitions from private to public and to private again, and it is one of the main sectors which have received Foreign Direct Investment (FDI), mainly from Spain. In this regard the main aim of this paper is to analyze the acquisition of Banamex by Citigroup. In order to reach this aim a case analysis method was carried out. The results suggests that Citigroup invested in Banamex for consolidate its presence in Latin America, the profits in Mexico, imitate the Spanish banks that some years ago have invested in Mexican banks, the banking sector in Mexico was deregulated as consequence of neoliberal policies and the potential market that represent Mexico, finally the acquisition of Banamex allowed competition in the banking sector and the entry of new competitors in the industry.

Given international theories, we can use the same basis for rethinking the development of the sector, using the country's advantage in terms of natural resources and climate types as a guide. We also see that international experience shows that it is possible to establish markets' "green energy" where end users cover their costs and create a highly profitable emerging market for both provider and consumer. There are existing government programs that support the same, a fact that makes investment from national and international firms tempting.

Currently, despite the measures taken to establish regional plans, it appears that there are disparities in regional development, being the most affected, the North Zone of the State. The aim of this chapter is to analyze a key factor, the ratio of the institutions with the development of the Northern region of the State of Jalisco, with a brief analysis of the role of institutions from economic, political, and social perspectives. The method used is a review of the existing literature on institutional theory and the development of the Northern Zone of Estado. A model is presented to measure the perception of service quality by students of the Technological Institute of Celaya, as part of the system of quality control, based on the theoretical support of several authors who have developed this topic (SERVQUAL and SERPERF) an instrument adapted to the student area of the institution called SERQUALITC is generated. The paper presents the areas or departments to assess and the convenient size, the number of items used by size and Likert scale, the validation study instrument is mentioned. El cuerpo académico: Análisis político y gestión de las organizaciones, integrado por la mayoría de los autores de esta ponencia, realiza y coordina actividades para fundamentar epistemológicamente los nuevos paradigmas de gestión pública. Para esta ponencia, se presenta el resultado de la primera etapa de un trabajo que analiza la incorporación de modelos de gestión empresarial en la Organización Escolar y corresponde al análisis comparativo entre los principios teóricos y conceptuales que se deben aplicar en la administración del sector educativo y los que se incluyen en las políticas educativas nacionales. La metodología se deriva del Análisis Institucional que considera tres niveles. El primero denominado formal o instituido se apoya principalmente de la investigación documental. El segundo nivel denominado informal o instituyente, conduce a valorar las políticas educativas y finalmente, en un tercer nivel, institucionalizado puede mostrarse como de una manera casi imperceptible, las acciones cambian las normas hasta que el hacer se impone sobre el deber. Con una perspectiva crítica se identifican problemas de incongruencia que alertan a reflexionar en torno a bases teóricas y metodológicas de las ciencias administrativas, sobre todo las que se utilizan en el sector público y por ende, se cuestionan diferentes aspectos entre ellos los contenidos temáticos para la formación profesional de administradores y politólogos.

This paper analyzes sustainability and efficiency of organizations committed to the exploitation’ activities of tule Thypha spp at the Zapotlán’s Lake taking into consideration the socioeconomic and environmental impact in the municipalities of Gómez Farías and Zapotlán el Grande. The initial hypothesis departs from the consideration of the scarce social capital of organizations that limits development’s sustainability. The research method employed is the ethnographic complemented with field work supported by informal interviews, documental and bibliographic research. The hypothesis of this research is proved empirically and confirms similar findings by the research conducted on the mainstream theory of social capital and its implications on economic development. The outcomes of the application demonstrate that the drama of economic efficiency and sustainable development of micro-business is tied to constrain of social capital. This finding has implications for the design and implementation of economic and social policies oriented towards the improvement of economic growth and sustainable development.

Es comprensible el debate existente en torno a la cultura entre antropólogos, politólogos, sociólogos, comunicadores, etc. por su influencia en la delimitación de otros conceptos también importantes como lo son soberanía nacional, identidad personal, etc. La cultura es un factor inseparable de los procesos de desarrollo económico, social y político de la humanidad. El desarrollo de los pueblos está relacionado con factores culturales, entre los que pueden incluirse la misma economía de los individuos. El desarrollo cultural puede ser visto como la sucesión de eventos en los que el hombre aprende a hacer uso tanto de los instrumentos materiales como de los culturales, para encontrar solución a sus problemas. Los instrumentos materiales finalmente también son culturales. Del contacto que se tenga con ideas, instrumentos, técnicas, formas de organización y comunicación, etc., esencia misma de la cultura, depende el desarrollo de la humanidad. En este trabajo se analiza la sustentabilidad de las organizaciones que realizan actividades de explotación del tule Typha spp en la laguna de Zapotlán y su impacto en el desarrollo socioeconómico y ambiental de los municipios de Gómez Farías y Zapotlán el Grande. La hipótesis inicial delimita con la consideración de que el escaso capital social de las organizaciones limita la sustentabilidad del desarrollo. El método de investigación empleado es el etnográfico, complementado con el trabajo de campo apoyado por entrevistas informales, investigación documental y bibliográfica. Los resultados de la aplicación demuestran que el drama de la eficiencia económica y el desarrollo sustentable de los micro negocios está atada a las restricciones de capital social. La principal conclusión es que no existe un equilibrio entre la sustentabilidad de las organizaciones debido al escaso capital social y la sustentabilidad del desarrollo ambiental y económico. Este hallazgo tiene implicaciones para el diseño e implementación de políticas económicas y sociales orientadas hacia el mejoramiento del crecimiento económico y desarrollo social.

El objetivo de este trabajo es dar una perspectiva de la utilidad de las alianzas estratégicas desde el punto de vista de tres teorías: la teoría basada en los recursos, la teoría basada en la industria y la teoría basada en las instituciones. Las hipótesis planteadas fueron que las alianzas estratégicas son útiles tanto para entrar en los mercados, crecer y expandir la empresa. La metodología utilizada fue un método exploratorio de datos del sector asegurador y de las cinco empresas líderes en el 2011. Se concluye que las alianzas estratégicas se reflejan en el sector de seguros en México teniendo fuertes implicaciones en los tres niveles local, industria e institucional.

The struggle for the recognition of indigenous rights is one of the most important social movements in Mexico. Before the 1970s, existing peasant organizations did not represent indigenous concerns. Since 1975 there has been a resurgence of indigenous movements and have raised new demands and defense of their cultural values. However, indigenous social mobilization had been laid in local and regional peasant struggles across the 1970s and 1980s. Also the indigenous movement is not homogeneous and does not include all ethnic groups in the country, but it has many different expressions and encompasses different entities at local, regional and national levels. This paper aims to analyze the historical social approach and under the frame of indigenous political ecology of social movements for recognition of indigenous rights in contemporary Mexico.

En este artículo se presenta un análisis sobre las prácticas del proceso administrativo en las pequeñas empresas dedicadas al comercio al por menor ubicadas en el centro histórico de la capital potosina. El presente documento inicia con el desarrollo de los fundamentos teórico-conceptuales básicos del proceso administrativo. Posteriormente, se precisa un marco contextual de la actividad comercial al por menor numérica de las pequeñas empresas, desde la situación nacional hasta la del estado de San Luis Potosí. La metodología utilizada se basa a partir del esquema de muestreo no probabilístico en donde las variables seleccionadas son traducidas en encuestas con preguntas de opción múltiple. Se tomó información de las bases de datos del Sistema Empresarial Mexicano para determinar el número de compañías de acuerdo con la línea de negocio y el lugar bajo estudio.

The aim of this work is to propose a research to determine an index to measure innovation capacity of enterprises in the software industry of Jalisco, based on a survey of the companies in the Software Center of the State,as well as evaluating the influence that has the capacity for innovation on competitiveness, seeking empirical evidence to answer the question. The main hypothesis for this research is the ability to innovate is a factor that positively affects the performance of companies in the software industry, which is reflected in the competitiveness of sector. The methods used in this research are three: innovativeness index(ICI), Linear Regression Model with OL Sand Soft Computing usinge volutionary algorithms: FUZZYCESAR, the latter something very new which puts us in the fore front of knowledge in methods it is still.

The present research attempts to analyze from a theoretical and methodological view of the competitive advantage that companies have to use the reputation as a generating tool of market value and this is a difficult intangible factor to imitate that facilitates the company to entre international markets. The largest pharmaceutical companies in the world and Mexico will be studied, from its inception and its market value. Finally it is concluded that the pharmaceutical industry has been characterized as one the most difficult markets to enter for their high entry barriers and reputational capital.

El presente trabajo se enfoca en el análisis del concepto la resiliencia personal y empresarial, y su impacto en las organizaciones, describiendo los aspectos centrales como su origen, definición, dimensiones y factores que determinan la resiliencia, además las características que distinguen a una empresa resilientes. Se concluye que la resiliencia va de un sentido personal a lo organizacional, que la alta dirección tengan las habilidades resilientes para conseguir que las empresas sean preparadas para superar las situaciones adversas de todo tipo, y anticipándose a los cambios que pueden poner en riesgo la sobrevivencia de las mismas y su pronta recuperación para lograr el éxito y la competitividad.

This chapter is aimed to analyze professional integrity as an improvement concept to the actual values and virtues and meaning managerial capabilities and attitudes to assume any professional task. This paper is aimed to analyze a case of management education for professional integrity at the University Centre for Economic and Managerial Sciences, University of Guadalajara. The research method employed is the ethnographic, documental and life’s histories, complemented with field work supported by in-depth interviews and analyzed using a comparative method. The outcomes of the research on the application in management education demonstrate that the drama of economic efficiency is centred on a dysfunctional professional integrity. This chapter provides a sound professional philosophy that empowers professionals to act with integrity, increases the probability for long-term success and professional fulfilment. The results provide also the basis to develop a code of conduct and regulation policies to sustain management education for professional integrity which, can positively impact on business culture through influencing the behaviour of key actors.

Today protectionist actions have been highly adopted by the nations, that in order to cope with the constant crises that threaten to slow economic growth. Th e cancellation of trade agreements has led to a strategic management restructuring, which now seeks to mini- mize the negative eff ects. Mexico is not the exception, because last year suff ered the imposition of a series of protectionist guidelines by Brazil and Argentina, which were intended to reduce the number of exports that are made to these South American economies. Th is study intends to analyze the impact and strategic changes adopted by Mexico in the automotive industry as a result of these regulations. Using a method of analysis of quantitative and qualitative data is to estimate the damages to the sector as well as the measures taken by Mexico to decrease side effects.

Strategic alliances are given by voluntary agreement between the parties, and have various forms, means and objectives which exist. In this text, the incubators as potential allies for entrepreneurs in the creation process of the company and as a cause of reduction of transaction costs in the process, where the relationship between the two sides have discussed them generates benefits of various natures. While it is not set as the union of both, if it looks like the relationship and close contact, as a network, which allows the incubator to survive and achieve its objective and entrepreneurial reduce the risk of birth as a company, in addition to build networks with other companies, organizations or institutions and ease of financing, and even the possibility of investors.

Las microfinancieras logran una inclusión financiera a la población de la parte más ancha de la pirámide favoreciendo la creación de fuentes de ingreso y trabajo. Compartamos Banco, al ser la institución que más participación tiene en el mercado y tener más de 20 años prestando servicios financieros para su sector específico de la población es la organización que se toma como modelo. Es importante analizar la responsabilidad social de la misma respecto a la sociedad. Este documento pretende mostrar si las microfinancieras trabajan con responsabilidad social hacia la población a la cual benefician con sus servicios. Para llegar al objetivo se realizó el análisis sobre la variación del número de personas en pobreza sobre la variación del número de clientes de las microfinancieras a nivel nacional. Con lo cual se llegó a la conclusión que este tipo de organizaciones cumplen con su objetivo principal, que es beneficiar a las personas de la base de la pirámide en México.

The aim of this work is to give a perspective about the utility of the strategic alliances from the view of three theories: The resource-based theory, the industry-based theory and the institutional-based theory. The raised hypotheses were that the strategic alliances are useful to enter to the markets, growth and expand a firm. The methodology used was exploratory data analysis of the insurance sector and the top five insurance firms in 2011. It is concluded that the strategic alliances are reflected the insurance market of México having strong implications at the three levels local, industry and institutional.

The study of tendencies in economic and environmental shrinkage is tied to the expressions of substan- tive changes in complexity of determinant contexts of internal and migration flows. This chapter answers the challenges posed by economic tendencies, using the theories and models and does not fall victim to simplistic projections and conjectures and theories based more in speculation than in fact. The method used is the critical analysis of economic, social, and political tendencies in relation to the situation of shrinking cities in Mexico. The results of this analysis led to the finding that the shrinkage process in Mexico, as a developing economy, does not follow the same patterns of well-developed countries, and an increase in shrinking cities has occurred since the middle of the 1950s and the use of incentives in some localities to attract economic growth have had modest success in turning around the shrinking process.

A Resource-Based Approach to Mergers and Concentration of the Banking System in Mexico after the 1994 Crisis
The strength of company is sustained in the resources it owns – something that can be considered a barrier to the entry for other companies. In the banking sector, the case of such resources was affected by the crisis of 1994 as they were devastated with the anti-crisis measures and by the market entry of foreign competitors in late 1990s. It is under such circumstances and in such an environment that we analyse the acceleration of the process of concentration in the Mexican banking system, relying on the resource-based theory. To have competitive advantages in resources and a solid global expansion strategy, foreign banks were able to climb to significant status in the Mexican banking system, with the subsequent generation of market-entry barriers to others in order to maintain their leadership.

This chapter analyzes the development process of Atenquique, a town now under corporate ownership, showing how corporate changes have affected the livelihood and welfare of its inhabitants. The chapter reports about the consequences of the privatization of the Paper Mill Company that used to belong to the state; it affected environmental conditions and caused economic decline in Atenquique. The ownership change resulted from globalization that took place after the very successful years of the paper mills after 1950s. This chapter reports about the quality of life of the labor force of this Paper Mill Company under the impact of globalization, and workers’ feelings about the new corporate owners. We applied descriptive and exploratory methodology. The Industrial Company of Atenquique was growing, while it was owned by the Mexican State. After the company had become private property, the town was declining and lost population and economic output, and this decline also affected the regional surrounding population.

This chapter identifies a framework of the current situation of Mexican SMEs, encompassing as the political-economic aspects that govern the cooperative relationship as the normative and cultural factors that impact directly businesses, concluding that the complexity of the European Union resulting from the uniqueness of each of its members is reflected in a set of formal and informal rules that negatively impact on the internationalization of Mexican SMEs to that market.

The point of view of the institutions and the theory of the property rights are part of the theoretical frame work that has been taken as a reference to describe the relationship they has had with "Monsanto Corporation" and the Mexican government, for entry of transgenic corn in our country. It tries to generate a hypothesis based on data and information gathered to bring in this, that in a general sense, proving the strategy taken by Monsanto Co. to achieve this maize market in Mexico.

Este trabajo pretende identificar los elementos ineludibles en el desarrollo de un pro- yecto regional, multianual e interinstitucional de “Desarrollo de Plataforma Logís- tica”; así como la trascendencia de una articulación valiosa de las instituciones y la participación de los grupos de interés. Se propone una estructura que le permita al proyecto realizarse con agilidad, legitimidad y transparencia sustentada en una estrategia inteligente, sostenible y articulada. Con lo que se pretende caminar como sociedad hacia una economía que use de manera eficiente sus recursos, potenciando proyectos estratégicos de alto valor añadido en las cadenas de valor de la región, que fortalezcan el mercado interno y doten empleos con alta responsabilidad social.
