Hierarchien werden abgebaut, das Mächtige ins Lächerliche gezogen. Das Prinzip der verkehrten Welt kann jedoch, in andere Bereiche gebracht, zur Gefahr werden. Politik und Medien können durch die Aneignung dieses Prinzips Gegner ausschalten und diffamieren, das Schlechte als das Gute ausgeben, das Unzumutbare als das Notwendige und das Autoritäre als das Schützende. Solcherlei passiert gerade und ein Akteur wird von Medien und Politik zur Legitimation des "Guten" (und Delegitimation des "Schlechten") hinzugezogen: Die Wissenschaft.

According to First Amendment orthodoxy, we must protect the thought we hate in order to protect the speech we love. Free speech orthodoxy thus urges women and minorities to see themselves, quite literally, in white men. Feminist theory demonstrates, however, that protecting free speech for white men, far from protecting women and minorities, sacrifices and silences them. If free speech for all is the desired outcome, a dramatic reorientation of free speech theory and practice is required. Rather than urging women and nonwhite men to see themselves in white men, white men should be urged to see themselves in women and nonwhite men. When women’s free speech if protected, everyone’s free speech is protected.

The following results in an equation worked out via experiencing ongoing gang stalking and v2k harassment via this stalking. It is commonly known as targeted individualism but has recently exalted into empowered individuals. Many reasons have been given and organized stalking with street theatre has all been a part of my life as I have witnessed the behaviour assist the sculpting of social engineering during the COVID-19 pandemic where social conditioning is giving people the influence of targeting others via phone apps which will result in mass targeting. This is a deadly game that is inspired by cyber torture of the kind I have experienced which is connected to DEW directed energy weapons by persons in my local area influenced by illuminati undetectable program to manufacture programmed and mind-controlled victims. The program has infiltrated many as flying monkeys and clowns by proxy who all fear those with a DEW weapon as well as causing a Carnot cycle like spin off where people do not realize they are being used in this program including gang stalkers. Due to the capability of these weapons many factors have to be brought into play but this is all part of the side effects of remote neural monitoring and remote neural manipulation. I am a non-dualistic solitarian druid and my life and my life and the lives of many in my community have been changed due to the persistent harassment and constant monitoring of my every thought and manipulation of them to cause fear ,confusion ,shame and even suicide. The majority of cases are single women who make up 70 percent of the total targets in this program where victims can easily be found online under target individual groups on Facebook. This behaviour by others has coincided with social engineering that relates to trans human perceptions due to the weapons involved and number of people who are used by a person with an M.O which is sadistic, attempted murder, broadcast swingers, criminality, perversion and voyeurism to name just a few aspects. Due to my ability to remain alive in this situation I have evolved a simple equation which I ran past a logician with a master's degree and therefore am happy to share with like-minded victims, academics, scholars etc The main basis of the equation is based around philosophical phenomenology but steps beyond this point as technology used is unknown to the target. Basic phenomenology is in itself a deep subject but this being so causes further study of phenomenology for one has to ask deeper questions into psychology, sociology ,weaponry ,human rights and many other areas that all fit into the human psyche. A false human hive mind is created outside of the contemporary understanding of hive minds and hive mind groups who are used to monitor the target for reasons that now align spiritually with biblical prophecy and the watchers a.k.a fallen angel and such prophecies, further it aligns with agenda 21 and the attempt to enslave humanity .When one takes the times we are living in and actually take note of empowered individuals like myself who feel like targets and can be proven as targets by this equation we can see how far or what intent is being implemented to separate humans from nature and the collapse of religion in society and countries. Its biggest intent I feel is to kill the will intellect and soul of a person and persons via hyper game theory whilst those placed in the program have no idea of the intent of the elites thus trans humanism. This is a small introduction and needs refining to enable pure and clearer understanding of targets, empowered individuals and those committing the behaviour akin to cointelpro programs. The equation must be used with all I have stated in mind with the phenomenology coming from those aware of or suffering from symptoms of being a target which all stemmed from monarch programming PHENOMENA leads to PHENOMENOLOGY leads to PHENOMENOLOGY leads to PHENOMENA Each successive step reflects the times we are experiencing as of 18/04/2020 with targeting, covid-19, banking crash and many street theatre and staged events globally which are inducing mass fear and control of the mass mindset. It is well documented that members of the police and intelligence communities have been infiltrating activist groups since the sixties. With covert spymasters rising in the ranks to hold influential leadership positions, guiding policy and strategy, and in some cases, radicalising those movements from within, in order to damage their reputation and weaken public support. A judge-led public enquiry in the UK revealed at least 144 undercover police operations had infiltrated and spied on more than 1,000 political groups in long term deployments since 1968. These days, rather than using coercion to suppress sedition, there is a body of evidence to suggest the state has devised more nefarious methods for countering subversion. Involving the co-opting of grassroots movements, in its bid to transform the unbridled ideals of activism into genuflections of corporate and political interest. Indeed, the denaturing of our social movements has engendered a culture of advocacy whereby it is no longer forged in the backyard of community and instead through a series of state sponsored global debates, on authorised issues only, such as climate change. The environmental movement, not to be confused with the ecological movement, appeals to our god-complex, and fantasises that our species holds dominion over nature, that our actions could somehow compromise the planet's homeostasis.

Rough Draft: The purpose of this project is to explore the ways in which gaslighting represents a kind of narrative border crossing wherein the teller becomes an outsider within their own personal experience narrative. Separate from the sorts of other-ing between the protagonist and teller that result naturally from the passage of time and the nature of identity, in the process of gaslighting, the narrator is estranged from their own experience through the intrusion of outside narratives that become adopted by the narrator as their own. My hope is to move beyond just seeing the experience of gas lighting as a traumatic experience to be related and recounted as part of the therapeutic use of personal experience narrative, but to also see the ways in which the storytelling space becomes dangerous and the story traumatized through the process of gas lighting and the ways this correlates to the trauma of colonialism.

In what sense does one doubt their understanding of reality when subject to gaslighting? I suggest that an answer to this question depends on the linguistic order at which a gaslighting exchange takes place. This marks a distinction between first order and second order gaslighting. The former occurs when there is disagreement over whether a shared concept applies to some aspect of the world, and where the use of words by a speaker is apt to cause a hearer to doubt her interpretive abilities without doubting the accuracy of her concept. The latter occurs when there is disagreement over which concept should be used in a context, and where the use of words by a speaker is apt to cause a hearer to doubt her interpretive abilities in virtue of doubting the accuracy of her concept. Many cases of second order gaslighting are unintentional: its occurrence often depends on contingent environmental facts. I end the paper by focusing on the distinctive epistemic injustices of second order gaslighting: (1) metalinguistic deprivation, (2) conceptual obscuration, and (3) perspectival subversion. I show how each reliably have sequelae in terms of psychological and practical control.

Despite whistle-blower protection legislation and healthcare codes of conduct, retaliation against nurses who report misconduct is common, as are outcomes of sadness, anxiety, and a pervasive loss of sense of worth in the whistle-blower. Literature in the field of institutional betrayal and intimate partner violence describes processes of abuse strikingly similar to those experienced by whistle-blowers. The literature supports the argument that although whistle-blowers suffer reprisals, they are traumatized by the emotional manipulation many employers routinely use to discredit and punish employees who report misconduct. "Whistle-blower gaslighting" creates a situation where the whistle-blower doubts her perceptions, competence, and mental state. These outcomes are accomplished when the institution enables reprisals, explains them away, and then pronounces that the whistle-blower is irrationally overreacting to normal everyday interactions. Over time, these strategies trap the whistle-blower in a maze of enforced helplessness. Ways to avoid being a victim of whistle-blower gaslighting, and possible sources of support for victims of whistle-blower gaslighting are provided.

Gaslighting is simply impossible to comprehend, identify, and permanently eradicate without an accurate understanding of what it is and how it evades detection. Because of its complex nature and apparent invisibility, it secretly lurks in the shadows while perpetuating unfathomable harm upon its victims. It is difficult for the victims of it and the many clinicians attempting to help them comprehend, identify, and ultimately resolve.

Physical violence is one of  the most researched in the fields of  health because their characteristics and effects are obvious. But psychological violence can go unnoti-ced for being a much more subtle event and has mani-festations that are not always obvious. One of  the terms that will reveal new elements in the psychological violence is gaslighting, so far it has not been considered fully clarified as psychological construct, reason why a theoretical review was undertaken. Method: A systema-tic review with the CONRICyT tool and Google Scho-lar brought back a total of  302 articles that were reviewed, among them only 10% remain in our research because most of  them were related to other fields or did not had features useful to increase the theoretical defini-tion of  the construct. Conclusion: gaslighting is a systematic and intentional process that drives a person to believe that he or she is losing his/her sanity; it works through denial, lying, use of  false information and disqualification of  feelings and perceptions of  the person who is the victim of  gaslighting, among other characteristics and consequences.

Gaslighting—a type of psychological abuse aimed at making victims seem or feel “crazy,” creating a “surreal” interpersonal environment—has captured public attention. Despite the popularity of the term, sociologists have ignored gaslighting, leaving it to be theorized by psychologists. However, this article argues that gaslighting is primarily a sociological rather than a psychological phenomenon. Gaslighting should be understood as rooted in social inequalities, including gender, and executed in power-laden intimate relationships. The theory developed here argues that gaslighting is consequential when perpetrators mobilize gender-based stereotypes and structural and institutional inequalities against victims to manipulate their realities. Using domestic violence as a strategic case study to identify the mechanisms via which gaslighting operates, I reveal how abusers mobilize gendered stereotypes; structural vulnerabilities related to race, nationality, and sexuality; and institutional inequalities against victims to erode their realities. These tactics are gendered in that they rely on the association of femininity with irrationality. Gaslighting offers an opportunity for sociologists to theorize under-recognized, gendered forms of power and their mobilization in interpersonal relationships.

At the time of writing, around 70.2 per cent of Australians were fully vaccinated against Covid. Put another way, the proportion of Australians being relentlessly insulted, bullied, gaslit, demonised, isolated, and threatened is approaching one third. By no means a tiny minority. Booster hesitancy, for which there is anecdotal evidence, may expand this number dramatically. If Australia goes down the path of, say Israel, in mandating the booster, the vaccination percentages will immediately plummet, then, quite possibly, only slowly rise, for there is emerging anecdotal evidence that those who have had the double shot are not that happy about making the jab a regular event in their lives. The number of people for whom the argument for vaccine mandates is considered a con is also likely to be growing. Hang on, 70.2 per cent seems to be a very low figure, you might be thinking. Isn't the figure 83 per cent for Australia? Yes and no. It depends how you do the counting. The 70.2 per cent figure is an international one, and is picked up by media outlets such as The Guardian. The 83 per cent figure is an Australian Department of Health one, and includes everyone over 16 years of age. Not just adults being counted, then. What with all the nudging of youngsters going on, it is not a great surprise that the percentage is so high on this count. No wonder politicians are so keen to get children jabbed. It is not about health. We know that children by and large never get Covid. It sure boosts the percentages, though.

This essay reflects on some of the problems with characterizing collective epistemic resistance to oppression as “unthinking” or antithetical to reason by highlighting the epistemic labor involved in contending with and resisting epistemic oppression. To do so, I develop a structural notion of epistemic gaslighting in order to highlight structural features of contexts within which collective epistemic resistance to oppression occurs. I consider two different forms of epistemic echoing as modes of contending with and resisting epistemic oppression that are sometimes mischaracterized as “unthinking” or “group think.” The first sense highlights the epistemic labor entailed in withdrawing from conditions of structural epistemic gaslighting that is sometimes mischaracterized as a pernicious self-sequestering that is antithetical to reason. The second sense highlights the epistemic labor entailed in actively confronting epistemic structures that gaslight what is sometimes mischaracterized...

This commentary is a response to Spear’s (Topoi 39(1):229–241, 2020) remarks on the difficulty of qualifying confabulations in gaslighting as epistemically innocent (or not). I propose a way to improve on the currently employed definition of epistemic benefit (Bortolotti, The epistemic innocence of irrational beliefs, Oxford University Press, Oxford, 2020) and show that if it is supplemented with a pragmatic and enactive understanding of “epistemic functioning”, we can easily and intuitively grasp why such confabulations are not epistemically beneficial.

Miranda Fricker has characterized epistemic injustice as “a kind of injustice in which someone is wronged specifically in her capacity as a knower” (2007, Epistemic injustice: Power & the ethics of knowing. Oxford: Oxford University Press, 20). Gaslighting, where one agent seeks to gain control over another by undermining the other’s conception of herself as an independent locus of judgment and deliberation, would thus seem to be a paradigm example. Yet, in the most thorough analysis of gaslighting to date (Abramson, K. 2014. “Turning up the lights on gaslighting.” Philosophical Perspectives 28, Ethics: 1–30), the idea that gaslighting has crucial epistemic dimensions is rather roundly rejected on grounds that gaslighting works by means of a strategy of assertion and manipulation that is not properly understood in epistemic terms. I argue that Abramson’s focus on the gaslighter and on the moral
wrongness of his actions leads her to downplay ways in which gaslighters nevertheless deploy genuinely epistemic strategies, and to devote less attention to the standpoint and reasoning processes of the victim, for whom the experience of gaslighting has substantial and essential epistemic features. Taking these features into account reveals that all gaslighting has epistemic dimensions and helps to clarify what resistance to gaslighting might look like.

Course Description
The term “Gaslighting” originated with Patrick Hamilton’s 1938 play Gaslight (known in the United States as Angel Street). It was made into a British film in 1940, and the more famous 1944 American film (directed by George Cukor and starring Ingrid Bergman, Joseph Cotten, and Charles Boyer). Decades later, the term to gaslight became a verb, meaning to intentionally manipulate someone to make them think they’re crazy. More recently, feminist philosophers, particularly those working in social epistemology, have analyzed gaslighting in relation to gender norms. Increasingly, gaslighting is being used to describe the ways in which oppressed and marginalized peoples are manipulated into not trusting their own feelings, beliefs, or what they know to be true from their own experience.

Beginning with the play and films, we will work out way up to contemporary philosophical literature that analyzes gaslighting, with special attention to psycho-social gaslighting, racial gaslighting, epistemological gaslighting, political gaslighting, medical gaslighting, and affective gaslighting.

Este artículo pretende realizar una revisión de documentación bibliográfica de las investigaciones que estudian las violencias invisibles que sufren las mujeres dentro de un consumo problemático de sustancias.
El consumo de alcohol y drogas consustancialmente a la violencia sufrida por las mujeres es un problema de salud pública. Ante tal situación, surge la necesidad de observar, explorar, diseñar e implementar programas y proyectos específicos garantes de perspectiva de género para la atención a mujeres, que facilite la identificación, prevención e intervención de violencias psicológicas en contextos de consumo problemático de drogas.
La finalidad de esta revisión bibliográfica, es 1) Determinar la relación e interpretar de las fuentes consultadas en base al binomio de las problemáticas planteadas, 2) Analizar la violencia psicológica en pareja, concretamente Luz de Gas aplicada a contextos de consumo, 3) visibilizar este tipo de violencia psicológica encubierta y 4) realizar propuestas de observación y abordaje con perspectiva de género en la red de Atención a las Drogodependencias.

Gaslighting relies on lying, deceit, manipulation, which are couched in benevolent terms.

Gaslighting comes from the 1944 film Gaslight, in which Gregory (played by Charles Boyer) deliberately tries to make his partner, Paula (Ingrid Bergman), lose her mind by manipulating her, her surroundings, and her friends.

The term now refers to a devastating form of emotional and psychological abuse, as the gaslighter manipulates and chips away at their victim’s sense of self and reality. 

It is also more common than you might think, When I shared my experience of gaslighting, women and men reached out. It seems I was not alone, and neither were they.

You feel small, stifled and burdened by life events. Maybe you’re experiencing neurosis, hyper-sensitivity and alienation. Deep down you think you’re going insane. It’s possible that you’re not. Instead, you’ve been gaslighted. Gaslighting is a method of manipulation, emotional abuse or bullying, often employed by sociopaths and narcissists. It involves making someone feel as if they no longer have their wits about them, as if their sanity has flown the coop. The term comes from the 1944 film “Gas Light,” in which a woman is manipulated by her husband into believing that she’s going crazy. The gaslighter coaxes his targets into questioning their beliefs, memory and senses. Typical tactics include lying, denial and misdirection. The gaslighter might consistently deny or refuse to accept his targets’ account of their own experiences, so that they eventually relent and accept the gaslighter’s version.

Gaslighting is often discussed as an intentional set of interactions
that are designed to leave the victim question her own
sense of self and sanity. Through an autoethnographic counternarrative,
this article argues that queerness is gaslit through
schooling as both a process that is continually carried out and
a product that is socioculturally constructed. Under this framing,
the author explores the multiplicities of space that facilitate
gaslighting, from direct intentions with individuals to the insidious
norms and values that allow sociocultural business-as-usual
to play a distinct role in gaslighting queerness in schools.

To Sir (!) Tony Blair, they are selfish idiots. To Bob Carr, they are simpletons. To the Archbishop of Canterbury (and, no doubt, the Pope), they are immoral. To Justin Trudeau, they are misogynist racists. Emanual Macron wants to "p… them off". Jacinda Ardern smirks at the suggestion that punishing them ushers in a two-tiered society. Daniel Andrews wants them excluded from the economy. Scott Morrison wants one in particular excluded from Australia and from an iconic tennis tournament. The LA Times journalist Michael Hiltzik suggests that mocking their deaths from Covid is "necessary". They have been described as a "global underclass". We don't even need to mention "granny killer". Two academics of very different political hues reckon they should be punished via the tax system, since they are "free riders". They are taking up all the ICU beds. Even Covid "liberals" like Dominic Perrottet want them excluded from certain classes of public service, including teaching, seemingly unaware that children are close to being at nil risk of catching Covid. To all of the above, they are a tiny minority (which is actually not true), and so able to be gaslit. Of course, I speak of the fate of the so-called anti-vaxxer. In the words of British media scholar Michael Wayne, the current vilification of the unjabbed amounts to "moral condemnation". Condemnation of an enemy by those engaged in a propaganda war. Worthy of a Dantean circle of hell, probably. Shamelessly defaming anti-vaxxers has become quite the sport, to go along with their exclusion from non-deplorable society and the evisceration of their rights by the Covid State and its allies. The unjabbed are at the coal face of the papers-please society embraced by Australian and other governments of every ideological persuasion. They are especially loathed when they dare to bring up Nazi Germany and concentration camps. Just ask (soon-to-be-ex-MP) George Christensen.

Since I wrote about my experience with gaslighting, I've had people share their stories with me. The gaslighting methods are so similar, it's almost like perpetrators read a manual. Here are some common phrases shared with me by victims of gaslighting that can help shed light on gaslighters' mindset.

My goal with the cognitive certificate is to build enough professional experience that I can explore the ideas of art therapy, drama therapy, exposure therapy, etc. through Cognitive Assistive Technology and apply in a constructive manner for the rehabilitation of people with cognitive disabilities. My approach is heavily influenced from a page from Feminist Theory in its prioritization of male rehabilitation and women’s empowerment from problematic religious and other stigmatizing social structures. While the technologies on the market that have a highly Cognitive Assistive basis are plentiful, the majority lack modeling aspects for social, economic and developmental modeling. Games often focus on individual gain, war and violence, sexual objectification of women, lack of minorities, homophobic themes, competitive sports fixation, etc. It is absolutely arguable whether or not these themes are inherently damaging, however modeling them exclusively--often which happens in our sexually stratified social environments--is a likely culprit in biased and delusional thinking.
Ultimately the creation of medical and psychosocial adjusted Cognitive Assistive Technologies--away from the traditional, crystallized and the prescriptivism of rote memory written and verbal literature based systems--will offer universality, adaptiveness to learning styles, be more ergonomic, built-in accommodations, and offer a larger variety of themes for personal growth and training. Various psychological theories can be formatted into virtual simulations of various levels of technological immersion as well as can be done for vocational assessments and trainings. In conjunction with referral from various demographic outreach organizations, integration into state rehabilitation agencies and other publicly funded vocational programs and universities, Cognitive Assistive Technology can be a regular training mechanism for rehabilitation in the vocational sense as well as for assessment and therapeutics.

The epistemology of risk examines how risks bear on epistemic properties. A common framework for examining the epistemology of risk holds that strength of evidential support is best modelled as numerical probability given the available evidence. In this essay I develop and motivate a rival 'relevant alternatives' framework for theorising about the epistemology of risk. I describe three loci for thinking about the epistemology of risk. The first locus concerns consequences of relying on a belief for action, where those consequences are significant if the belief is false. The second locus concerns whether beliefs themselves-regardless of action-can be risky, costly, or harmful. The third locus concerns epistemic risks we confront as social epistemic agents. I aim to motivate the relevant alternatives framework as a fruitful approach to the epistemology of risk. I first articulate a 'relevant alternatives' model of the relationship between stakes, evidence, and action. I then employ the relevant alternatives framework to undermine the motivation for moral encroachment. Finally, I argue the relevant alternatives framework illuminates epistemic phenomena such as gaslighting, conspiracy theories, and crying wolf, and I draw on the framework to diagnose the undue skepticism endemic to rape accusations.

The corporate media campaigns, led by the Murdoch press in Australia but no less enthusiastically embraced by the Channel Nine-2GB-Fairfax-ABC industrial complex. The third parties-that is, doctors and their vile administrative bodies-who all but refuse ever to provide medical exemptions, let alone any others, to those who cannot take the jab. The sneering at the unvaccinated by the likes of Jacinda Ardern and Daniel Andrews, whose delight in having created a new class of second-class citizen would once have been termed brazen, but now they know it won't hurt them politically. Because they suspect the punters mostly agree with them. They wear disdain for what they define as anti-vaxxers as a badge of honour.

Using the author's personal experiences as a Brown woman living in the United States after September 11, this paper uses post-9/11 violence enacted against Brown citizens to consider the nuances of necropolitics. Specifically, this paper argues that too often everyday acts of violence, such as gaslighting, are central mechanisms of necropolitical control. Frequently, these normalized aggressions make relegating people to the status of the living dead possible. Finally, this paper argues that necropolitics emerges from intra-actions, often causing the ontoepistemological death for communities of color in general and, in this case, Brown people in a physically and psychologically violent post-9/11 United States.

Thinking back to early 2018, ‘gaslighting’ meant little to me. It was the term de jour in online arguments; a word I saw thrown around on social media when people got into disagreements. I figured ‘gaslighting’ meant when people disagreed with what you’re saying, or when they tried to minimise your experience. The true extent of gaslighting, its impact on my own lived experience, became clear to me one day nonin late June, when I discovered my former partner’s extensive lies and deception; the foundation of my recent years was coming undone. It felt as if my world was crumbling, each deteriorating stratum exposing further layers of lies. Months later, I am still rebuilding.

The psychological coercion Helen experienced is a particular type of manipulation known as “gaslighting”, after the 1944 film Gaslight. In the film, Charles Boyer’s Gregory Anton sets out to convince Ingrid Bergman’s Paula that she has gone mad. One of his many tactics is to secretly dim the gaslights in their home and tell Bergman she is insane when she comments that the lights are flickering. As a result, gaslighting is now used to describe a particular type of mental abuse that makes the victim doubt her – and it is often a her – own sanity, memory and perception.
