Poco o nada se ha escrito sobre el aprecio de las élites gobernantes incas hacia la actividad artística y sus ejecutantes. Esta ponencia revela una consideración privilegiada de la práctica artística dentro del escalafón de la estructura de la sociedad inca. Lo artístico fue una labor productiva de absoluta dedicación de grupos familiares especializados, pero también con la posibilidad de que personas pertenecientes a las clases altas lo practicaran. El proceso de creación artística en el Tahuantinsuyo estuvo supervisado por quienes dirigían el culto, quienes a su vez sostenían ideológicamente el poder real. Como los artistas incas se hallaron siempre al lado del poder, viviendo en los templos o cerca a ellos, fueron adquiriendo conocimiento preferente, convirtiendo la práctica artística en eslabón de primera importancia entre el poder terrenal y el poder del más allá. Se describe el Inti Raymi o la gran fiesta del Sol de los Incas, señalándose el tiempo en que se realizaba, sus motivaciones, duración, pervivencia, escenarios, jerarquías de los concurrentes, presencia de las mujeres, participación del pueblo, la adoración en el Coricancha, los sacrificios, agüeros y oraciones propiciatorias, el fuego sagrado, los brindis rituales, las danzas y taquíes, la procesión de las momias, el posterior sincretismo, pervivencias, etc., sobre la base de la información proporcionada por los cronistas de los siglos XVI y XVII.

El Inti Raymi, la fiesta grande del Sol, debió existir desde siempre entre los Inkas, incluso en los precedentes Estados andinos que tuvieron también cultos helíacos. Al establecerse en el valle cuzqueño, tras sojuzgar a las tribus oriundas, Manco Cápac estableció la fiesta a nivel oficial, celebrándola en el cerro sagrado de Huanacauri. Allí se verificaría también por vez postrera, en tiempo de Paullo Inka, cuando las guerras civiles entre pizarristas y almagristas. Cuenta Garcilaso de la Vega que reinando Yahuar Huacca, el Inti Raymi era ya la principal festividad del estado cuzqueño, teniendo lugar una sola vez al año 1. Bajo el imperio de Pachacuti, transformador del mundo andino, el Inti Raymi fue reorganizado. In the thesis on the basis of a complex of sources and historical scientific works the social and economic system of the Inca state of the imperial period is investigated. The reasons and preconditions which led to fast inca expansion in XV-XVI centuries, namely, intensive development of the agriculture in a valley of Cuzco and high density of the population in it, are established. Approximately for hundred years it had been possible to form the biggest pre-Colombian state in the sizes.
It is found out that for the sake of reinforcement of substantiations of the gains the incas led by governor Pachakutiq Inca Yupanqui resorted to reforms in sphere of a cult and a temple economy, and have deduced on a proscenium of syncretic Supreme god Wiracocha, and so-called «Sun temples» united in cults of numerous gods of different people, clans and communities. At the same time reforms of a calendar, languages, landed properties and land tenure, the public and territorial administration, system of storehouses, barns and warehouses, post service, trade and the commodity reference, manufacture, including transition to big manufactory (weaving, jewelry, weapon workshops, etc.) were carried out. Immigrants-mitmaq and servants yana and aclla played an important role in gradual transformation of an economy into state one. Application by incas of effective system of the organization of work allowed them to supervise all available human manpower, to conduct statistically their demographic account and to use for the sake of numerous problems of the state value (for building, repair, making of roads, extraction of metals, transportation, etc.) which results amazed imagination of Europeans.
As a whole, it is offered to consider a society of the incas as traditional hierarchical, differentiated, polyethnic, collectivized on the basis of communities which passed to a stage of creation of a form of «Andean civilization» within imperial type of statehood due to the achievements in a multipurpose economy with the big degree of division of labour, and by means of gradual and dynamic transition to its command-administration managerial control also in order to fasten gains."

У дисертаційній роботі досліджено суспільно-господарський устрій держави інків імперського періоду. Встановлено причини та передумови, що призвели до швидкої експансії інків в XV–XVI ст., а саме, інтенсивний розвиток землеробства в долині Куско та висока густота населення в ній. В результаті означеної експансії приблизно за сто років інкам вдалося утворити найбільшу за розмірами державу Доколумбової Америки.
З’ясовано, що задля підкріплення обґрунтувань своїх завоювань інки на чолі з правителем Пачакутіком Інкою Юпанкі вдалися до реформ у сфері культу та храмового господарства, і вивели на авансцену синкретичного верховного бога Віракочу, а так звані «храми Сонця» поєднували у собі культи численних богів різних народів, кланів і общин. В той же час здійснювались реформи календаря, мов, землеволодінь і землекористування, суспільного і територіального устрою, системи сховищ, комор і складів, поштарської служби, торгівлі і товарного обігу, виробництва, в тому числі перехід до великого мануфактурного (ткацькі, ювелірні, зброярські майстерні тощо). Важливим інструментом у поступовому «одержавленні» господарства зіграли переселенці-мітмаки і слуги йана та акльа. Застосування інками ефективної системи організації праці дозволило їм контролювати всі наявні людські трудові ресурси, вести їх статистично-демографічний облік та використовувати задля виконання численних виробничих завдань державного значення (будівництва, ремонту, прокладання шляхів, гірничої справи, транспортування тощо), результати яких неабияк вражали європейців.
Загалом, запропоновано розглядати суспільство інків як традиційне ієрархічне, диференційоване, багатоетнічне, колективізоване на базі общин, що завдяки своїм здобуткам у багатофункціональному господарстві з великим ступенем розподілу праці та за допомогою поступового і динамічного переходу до командно-адміністративного управління та швидких завоювань перейшло до етапу створення єдиної «андської цивілізації» у межах імперського типу державності.

В диссертационной работе исследован социально-экономический строй государства инков имперского периода. Установлены причины и предпосылки, которые привели к быстрой экспансии инков в XV–XVI вв., а именно, интенсивное развитие земледелия в долине Куско и высокая густота населения в ней. В результате упомянутой экспансии примерно за сто лет инкам удалось образовать самое большое по размерам государство Доколумбовой Америки.
Выяснено, что ради обоснования своих завоеваний инки во главе с правителем Пачакутиком Инкой Юпанки прибегли к реформам в сфере культа и храмового хозяйства. «Первая реформа культа» была проведена Пачакутеком около 1438 г. и состояла в объединении храмовых хозяйств, упорядочении церемоний и ритуалов и была вызвана как значительными завоеваниями Пачакутика Инки Юпанки после войны с чанками и узурпацией власти поддержавшими его кланами Ананкуско, так и необходимостью укрепления своего господствующего положения. «Вторая реформа Пачакутика» была осуществлена между 1465–1466 гг. и 1470–1471 гг. после успешного завоевания региона Кольа (прародины этнических инков) и устранения главного конкурента — правителя Чучи Капака. Целью реформы было обоснование возвеличивания бога Виракочи, бога-творца, который «правил миром и отдавал приказы Солнцу», и тем самым закрепление власти правящей инкской группировки Ананкуско, во главе которой и стоял Пачакутек, а после него — его сын Тупак Инка Юпанки. Последний за время своего правления (ок. 1471–1493) в несколько раз увеличил территорию империи и одновременно, продолжая дело отца, активно создавал на завоеванных территориях, наряду с государственными и личными императорскими, унифицированные, могущественные храмовые хозяйства.
В то же время осуществлялись реформы календаря, языков, землевладений и землепользования, общественного и территориального устройства, системы хранилищ, амбаров и складов, почтовой службы, торговли и товарного обращения, производства, в том числе переход к большому мануфактурному (ткацкие, ювелирные, оружейные мастерские и т.п.). Имперская политика инков в целом сводилась к расширению влияния государства в общественной и хозяйственной жизни. Общественный строй империи инков базировался на старых андских образцах институтов родового строя, когда административная и судебная власть объединялись в руках патриархального правителя, что в свою очередь позволяло клану инков руководить государством через разветвленный бюрократический аппарат. Характерной особенностью общественных отношений в Тавантинсуйу было то, что после завоеваний инки узурпировали судебную власть правителей провинций и передали ее вместе с некоторыми административными и военными функциями своим наместникам. Поэтому власть инкских правителей, органически связанная с клановым устройством столичного города Куско, находилась в определенном противостоянии с властью провинциальной элиты, что во многом расшатывало устои империи. Само же общество состояло из таких главных элементов как имперская верхушка, местная элита, община, каждый их которых в свою очередь был также дифференцированным. В самом низу общественной иерархии находилась община, имевшая целостную дуальную внутреннюю структуру, трехуровневую внешнюю архитектуру власти, четырехчленное территориально-пространственное деление и входившая в состав общин высшего порядка согласно пятеричной и десятичной систем, что и обусловливало ее универсальный многоуровневый характер. Важным инструментом в постепенном «огосударствлении» хозяйства сыграли переселенцы-митмаки и слуги йана и акльа. Применение инками эффективной системы организации труда позволило им контролировать все имеющиеся человеческие трудовые ресурсы, вести их статистически-демографический учет и использовать для выполнения многочисленных задач государственного значения (строительства, ремонта, прокладывания дорог, добычи металлов, транспортировки и т.п.), результаты которых поражали воображение европейцев.
В целом, предложено рассматривать общество инков как традиционное иерархическое, дифференцированное, полиэтническое, коллективизированное на базе общин, которое, благодаря своим достижениям в многофункциональном хозяйстве с большой степенью разделения труда и с помощью постепенного и динамического перехода к командно-административному управлению и быстрым завоеваниям, перешло к этапу создания единой «андской цивилизации» в пределах имперского типа государственности.

Este ensayo consiste en un resumen de la vida y obras del matemático, cartógrafo y defensor de la salud pública francés Charles-Marie de La Condamine (1701-1774), famoso por sus exploraciones científicas en Sudamérica como participante en la expedición de la Academia de Ciencias de Francia a los Andes (1735-1744) con el objetivo de medir el arco de meridiano de un grado de latitud en el ecuador que sirviese para calcular la exacta circunferencia de la tierra. En el corso de esta, hizo el primer plan y la primera elevación de un sitio inca, Ingapirca en el Ecuador, y un plan preciso de la ciudad de Quito, mapas de la costa sudamericana y un mapa mas preciso que otros del río amazonas.

La presente investigación trata el tema de la conquista Inca en los territorios del actual territorio chileno a través de los relatos de los españoles que la vivieron, los cronistas del siglo XVI estaban inmersos en un contexto histórico que se caracterizaba por las conquistas territoriales de las potencias europeas. Los españoles fueron conscientes de la falta de una historia escrita de los pueblos conquistados, y se pusieron a la labor de crear un relato que se creó con diversas motivaciones.

En el presente artículo se estudia la edición del manuscrito Conquista y población del Pirú, fundación de algunos pueblos del clérigo secular Bartolomé de Segovia, escrito entre 1552 y 1558. El autor fue testigo ocular de los primeros años de la Conquista desde 1534, año en que arribó a la bahía de Caraquez, en el litoral ecuatoriano. Luego de evidenciar el enfrentamiento entre Almagro, Alvarado y Pizarro, estuvo en Cusco en 1547, presenciando los funerales de Paullu Inca. Estos pormenores fueron base informativa para la elaboración de su relación a partir de la lucha por la defensa de los naturales en una visión símil a la lascasiana de la "destrucción del Perú". En este sentido, se optó por analizar la información sobre la persona del Inca y su relación con el culto solar como parte central del sistema sagrado del Tawantinsuyu. Dichas prerrogativas fueron llevadas a cabo a partir de la revisión del trabajo realizado por Pilar Rosselló (2019), siendo publicada la transcripción del manuscrito junto a un estudio preliminar, logrando un importante aporte como fuente a tener en cuenta para los Andes coloniales del siglo XVI.

De los tambos incas a las tambarrías coloniales: economía colonial, legislación de tambos y actividades «licenciosas» de las mujeres indígenas Sofía Chacaltana Cortez a Resumen Cuando llegaron los españoles a los Andes, alabaron los caminos y tambos incaicos que encontraron mientras avanzaban a través del agreste territorio andino. A pesar de que durante y luego de la conquista española los tambos sufrieron un gran deterioro, fueron una de las pocas instituciones que continuaron funcionando durante la época colonial. Los hispanos se dieron cuenta rápidamente de que estos edificios eran de gran necesidad para su economía basada en el comercio y en la explotación minera, sistema que para funcionar requería del transporte de gente, objetos y animales. Por ello, pese a que los tambos estaban inmersos en un sistema económico mercantilista colonial, los españoles dispusieron de una serie de cédulas que promovían la reinstitucionalización de los tambos como en la época de «Guaynacapac». En este artículo, me sirvo de datos históricos que refieren a la legalización del funcionamiento de los tambos y a las prácticas ocurridas en ellos para observar las múltiples fricciones entre los hispanos e indígenas. Además, llamo la atención sobre un aspecto en particular: la obsesión española sobre el cuerpo de la mujer indígena, que devela la ideología de poder colonial. Al final del artículo, discuto la importancia de la arqueología para contribuir con un mejor entendimiento sobre la transformación de esta institución desde la época prehispánica hasta la colonial. Palabras clave: tambos, economía colonial, mujeres indígenas, mita de tambo, legislación de tambo, identidades colo-niales Abstract FROM INKA TAMBOS TO COLONIAL TAMBARRÍAS: LAW, ECONOMY AND THE «LICENTIOUS» ACTIVITIES OF INDIGENOUS WOMEN Historical accounts of the Iberian incursion into the Andes indicate that Spaniards were amazed by the sophisticated roads and waystations (tambos) they encountered across Andean territory. During and after the Iberian conquest, indigenous and Spanish armies constantly burned tambos for strategic reasons, in order to slow the movement of enemy troops. Despite this practice, tambos were one of the few institutions that continued during the colonial period. The Spanish rapidly recognized that tambos were beneficial for their economy, specifically markets and mining exploitation that required the movement of people, things, and animals across the Andean region. Consequently, during the early colonial period, Iberians dictated laws promoting the smooth functioning of tambos as a way of regulating the practices occurring in them; transforming tambos into a new colonial institution. In this article, I call attention to the transformation of tambos from a pre-Hispanic to a colonial institution as well as the colonial desire to control indigenous behavior in the new Andean society. I specially focus on the colonial fixation over the bodies of indigenous women, illustrating some aspects of the ideology of power exerted over indigenous communities. Finally, I discuss the importance of archaeology to better understand the transformation of tambos from the pre-Hispanic to the colonial period.

Resumen Según las crónicas de los siglos XVI y XVII Pachacuti Inca Yupanqui fue quien ordenó que los funerales de los Sapay Inca se realizaran en dos partes. La primera se llevaba a cabo tras la muerte del gobernante y, la segunda, un año más tarde. En este artículo analizaremos todo el ritual para, posteriormente, reflexionar acerca de las motivaciones políticas que pudieron conducir a Pachacuti a planificar esta peculiar ceremonia. Abstract According to the chronicles of the 16th and 17th centuries, it was Pachacuti Inca Yupanqui who ordered the funerals of Sapay Inca to be hold in two steps. The first one had to be conducted just after the ruler's death and the second one, a year later. In this article, the whole ritual will be analysed in order to, afterwards, think over the political reasons that could lead Pachacuti plan the development of the ceremony in that particular way.

The Inca road has been the iconic example of imperial infrastructure in the prehispanic Andes. However, scholarly attention to its role in expanding and consolidating the Inca domain has overshadowed analysis of how locals may have appropriated the Inca road for their own private benefit. Based on a full-coverage survey and excavations, this article presents the case of small mining communities along the Inca road and the use they made of it. I argue that they most likely leveraged on emerging imperial infrastructure, in order to expand their existing lapidary and pigment production and exchange in the Atacama desert. The Inca Road may thus have served as an unintended stimuli for local economic activities, since it improved transportation logistics, and served as a linear exchange nexus. I further demonstrate how the Inca Road was, to some extent, appropriated to serve local economic purposes. This provides a unique “bottom-up” perspective of how the Inca infrastructure could not be fully controlled by the elites. Thus, the “imperial landscape” created by the Inca Road was more permeable than what the Incas expected and scholars have assumed, despite the physical or ideological coercion elites may have enforced.

The Inca mitmaq policy ambitiously resettled up to one-third of its subject population. Despite the importance of this mass relocation, we know little of the mitmaqkuna, the people resettled under the policy. Through a spatial analysis of Yanawilka, an agricultural mitmaq settlement near the Inca provincial capital of Vilcashuamán, this article explores how Inca imperial control differentially affected various aspects of the mitmaqkuna's social landscapes. The use of space syntax analysis to assess the centrality of the Inca imperial presence within such settlements may be of value for assessing other imperial contexts around the world.

"The Inka Empire adopted several means to create, demonstrate and legitimize the power in its conquests over a vast territory. This paper focuses on one of those means: the production and
restructuring of socially constructed space. We believe that through this process of domination, the Inka Empire imposed its ideology and its worldview over the conquered societies. Although we do not ignore or reject the explanations usually given to this process, this position evaluates the Inka expansionism as a process guided not only by economic or logistic motivations. Therefore, we believe that ideology and the use of space are both key components when analyzing any social process, and in this specific case: the Inka domination in Northwest Argentina, particularly in the area of the Quebrada de Humahuaca. In subsequent lines we aim to explore some aspects of the relationship between ideology and space as theoretical concepts with the social production of space in the Tawantinsuyu, the Inka conquest of Humahuaca and the specific case of La Huerta archaeological site."

The chronology of the Inca conquest of Northwest Argentina has been questioned in
recent years since the obtaining of new radiocarbon dates. In the Quebrada de Humahuaca is
suggested that the Inca occupation started within the time span ranging from 1410 to 1430
AD. From new radiocarbon dates obtained at Juella archaeological site, within a context that
brings us to the Regional Developments Period (1250-1450 AD), we meditate about how this
process of conquest could have been. A process that involved the complete emptying of the
settlement and the partial abandonment of others. Also will present the spatial changes
imposed by the Incas in the region, which included the remodeling of local villages, the
construction of a new production landscape and the relocation of populations.

The Inca Empire (1438-1572) was preceded by at least seven civilizations in Peru, including the Chavín (1200 B.C.E. to the time of Christ), Moche (the time of Christ to 800 C.E.), Nazca (200 C.E. to 600 C.E.), Tiwanaka (750 to 1100), Wari (600 to 1100), the Sicán (750 to 1375), and the Chimor (1100 to 1375). Many of these civilizations shared characteristics with each other, including mound temples and  some deities, and with the Inca, such as terraced agriculture.

The Inca became the largest pre-Columbian Empire expanding to include not only Peru, but Ecuador and Chile, and parts of Colombia, Bolivia, and Argentina. Its capital was in Cusco near Lake Titicaca in the Andes Mountains, and it was united by network of narrow roadways and suspension bridges made of ropes over which relay runners would bring messages. While it had no written language, it developed a system of knotted ropes known as quipus used a mnemonic devices to record taxes, events, and histories. They had a pantheon of gods of which Inti was the sun god and Pachamama the earth goddess. The emperor known as the Sapa Inca was believed to be a descendant of Inti. The cities (which besides Cusco included Machu Picchu) had temples to the sun and the moon and were oriented to the winter and summer solstices (in June and December in the southern hemisphere).

The Inca Empire was brutally conquered by the Spaniard Francisco Pizarro and his brothers between 1526 and 1572, when the last Sapa Inca Tupac Amaru was captured and executed. Elements of the Inca culture continue among the descendants of the Inca to the present day. These include the maintenance of the rope suspension bridges along the Inca road system, the various varieties of potatoes, the colorful textiles, the Quechua language, flutes and panpipes made of reeds and fired clay, and ceremonies celebrating Inti and Pachamama  every June 24 at the Coricancha (the sun temple), Haucaypata (Cusco’s Plaza de Armas) and the Sacsayhuaman esplanade.

The framework of  the intangible and digital medium as expressive means of the narratives of gender in contemporary art, this conference shows the history of the craft of the South American indigenous people and the fundamental role of women in technical development for nearly 6 thousand years labor in the manufacture of fabrics. At the dawn of the 21st century, Otavalo's women in the Republic of Ecuador has the highest representation in the national struggle of the genre, her artisanal activity brand the social battle that is full of symbols, traditions and customs.

S’y trouvent dénoncés l’esclavage, la soif de l’or et le fanatisme religieux.
----- First published in 1777, "Les Incas, ou la destruction de l’Empire du Pérou" carried on, in the form of a half-historical, half-philosophical novel, the defense of tolerance the author had begun with "Bélisaire" (1767). In the novel, he denounces slavery, the thirst for gold, and religious fanaticism.

"The opening and closing of spaces has been extensively documented at an ethnographic level in the Andes. At the archaeological level however, we have numerous examples of the first type and not many testimonies of abandon of a particular enclosure or settlement. In Juella, Quebrada de Humahuaca, Jujuy, we have a unique context that includes the closure of a door, a burial of an unborn in the occupation floor, and the intentional burial of some objects. In the context of an occupation restricted to the Regional Developments Period, we consider that the material found and analyzed here is related to rituals and ceremonies of the closure and symbolic death of this space. From radiocarbon dates obtained from this particular event and its relationship to the overall site context, we believe that this event not only had to do with the abandonment of the structure, but is closely related to the site as a whole, and to the time of the Inca conquest of the region as well.
Las ceremonias de apertura y cierre de espacios han sido ampliamente documentados a nivel etnográfico en el mundo andino. A nivel arqueológico sin embargo, contamos con numerosos ejemplos del primer tipo y no tantos que testimonien el abandono de un determinado recinto o asentamiento. En trabajos realizados en Juella, Quebrada de Humahuaca, Jujuy, nos encontramos ante un singular contexto que incluye el tapiado de una puerta, la inhumación sobre el piso de ocupación de un nonato y el entierro intencional de algunos objetos. Consideramos, en el marco de una ocupación restringida al Período de Desarrollos Regionales, que la materialidad hallada, y aquí analizada, se encuentra relacionada con rituales y ceremonias ligadas al cierre y a la muerte simbólica de este espacio. A partir de la obtención de diversos fechados radiocarbónicos, que incluyen uno de este evento particular, y su relación con el contexto general del sitio, pensamos que este acontecimiento no solo tuvo que ver con el abandono del recinto, sino que se encuentra íntimamente ligado con el del sitio en su totalidad, al tiempo que este último se relaciona con la conquista inkaica de la región."

El artículo presenta una discusión sobre el papel de los caminos y las rutas de comunicación como elementos imprescindibles en la producción social del espacio, y sobre la conformación de una región de frontera del Tawantinsuyu en el norte de los Andes en el momento de la conquista española. La información arqueológica e historiográfica disponible sobre el departamento de Nariño en Colombia y de la provincia de Carchi en Ecuador es usada con el fin de evaluar el grado de conquista y dominio de los Incas en los Andes Septentrionales, y la función de la interacción social en la configuración espacial. En el texto se resalta que, independiente del hecho de si la región hacía parte del imperio Inca, algunos elementos que se consideran característicos del llamado "mundo andino" están presentes en el registro arqueológico, e incluso que algunos de estos no se relacionan temporalmente con la presencia imperial en el sector. The aim of this article is to discuss the role of roads and communication routes as essential elements in the social production of space, and in the conformation of a border Tawantinsuyu region in the northern Andes at the time of the Spanish conquest. Available archaeological and historiographical information on the department of Nariño in Colombia and the province of Carchi in Ecuador is used to evaluate the degree of conquest and dominion of the Incas in the Northern Andes, and the function of social interaction in the spatial configuration. The text highlights that, regardless of whether the region was part of the Inca Empire, some elements that are regarded as characteristic of the so-called "Andean world" are present in the archaeological record, and even that some of them are not temporarily related to the imperial presence in the area.

El trabajo presenta un acercamiento al tipo de control hegemónico desarrollado tanto por el imperio inca como el azteca. No se pretende hacer un análisis de la expansión imperial ni del militarismo, si bien ambos elementos serán tomados en cuenta, para comprender el contexto en el que se desarrolla el control de las fronteras. Por ello será necesario hacer mención a los proceso de expansión de los dos imperios, para observas quienes son los actores dentro de este control hegemónico. Así mismo se precisará sobre el tipo de control ejercido en los pueblos conquistados. Por último destacaremos la importancia del sistema tributario que se creó a partir de la expansión y que impulsó a ambos imperios a mantener el orden. De esta manera podemos observar la creación del gobierno provincial, de las dos culturas.

RESUMEN Hacia fines del siglo XIX el Valle de Hualfín (Catamarca) comienza a despertar el interés de viajeros, naturalistas y científicos. Estas primeras descripciones conforman en la actualidad un corpus documental que reúne información valiosa acerca de los primeros descubrimientos arqueológicos del valle. En 1919, Benjamín Muniz Barreto financió expediciones arqueológicas a las provincias del Noroeste argentino contratando para esto a Wladimir Weiser. Como resultado, se reunieron más de 12.000 piezas arqueológicas que desde 1931 permanecen en la División Arqueología del Museo de La Plata. La importancia de esta colección reside, además, en la documentación que incluye diarios de viaje, cuadernos, cartas, fotografías, planos y mapas realizados durante estos viajes. En El Shincal de Quimivil, Weiser detalla diversas estructuras pero, fundamentalmente, describe los paisajes naturales y arqueológicos que nos permitieron analizar la ocupación del espacio e identificar los emplazamientos construidos. Este proceso de construcción de la evidencia arqueológica nos posibilita identificar e interpretar actualmente los contextos descriptos, tomándolo como una línea de evidencia paralela para generar hipótesis sobre el paisaje regional, estableciendo una relación entre lo que relatan los documentos y los resultados de las investigaciones llevadas a cabo en las últimas tres décadas.

Imperial expansion can produce broad economic intensification throughout the provinces to provide key economic resources for the state. However, not all such economic intensification is the direct result of the imposition of an imperial political economy over subject populations. This article presents evidence for some cases where intensification occurred due to bottom-up responses of small groups that were able to profit from imperial conquest. In the case of the Incas, although the imposition of a labor-tax system, or mit'a, was an important economic device for their imperial expansion, we question its universality. This article addresses the economic changes that local communities experienced within the Tawantinsuyu by comparing the coexistence of attached and independent modes of production in two cases of mining production in the Atacama Desert, in northern Chile. This contributes to finding and elaborating on explicit archaeological indicators that enable us to contrast both modes of engagement with the political economy of the Inca Empire and to identify, archaeologically, alternative and independent local responses to imperial expansion. Our study thus energizes debates on how and to what extent local populations, under conditions of empire, can negotiate spaces and activities outside of state control

I want present my draft about decipherment of yupana (co-author A. Bondarenko). The study is illustrated with numerous images, explaining the essence of our discoveries, interactive tables, etc. And also: black counters means no value, and white - the presence of value. We understand how to add a number from the yupana in a quipu, and vice versa. The multiplication table is short and it has an advantage over the decimal system. It represents the multiplication of the numbers. We understand how a curaca counted on the yupana its population. In contrast to other decipherments we realized how to multiply and divide. Working with the Yupana for the Incas require a translation of numbers in the decimal system of the Quipu. The Yupana more convenient to process of information than we use binary and decimal system due to unusual "nonlinear logic” of the number representation. The Yupana so universal that it can be used for vigesimal and sexagesimal system. We understand how to use Yupana together with a calendar of 328 and 360 days, and both were located the Wakas on the yupana because they have a numeric value and color.

The study of social and economic relations in the Inca Empire (XV-XVI century) was carried out by many scientists; many research papers devoted to the issue of the organization of labor and labor service. However, detailed and thorough analysis was conducted only by some scholars (J. Murra, Gary Urton). However, this analysis was combined with an analysis of state fiscal policy and the Inca calendar that would allow more carefully trace the relationship of elements of social-economic structure, such as establishing a population of some provinces according to the types of labor service, and distribution of obligations in time. In this context, an important new analysis of labor in the Inca Empire. So the purpose of the proposed research is to identify fundamental principles of fiscal policy of the Incas. For this we consider the economic structure of the empire.

Todo esto no es más que una gran celebración que se realizaba a finales de año, de nuestro nuevo calendario, exactamente en el solsticio de invierno, entre el 17 y el 23 de Diciembre gregoriano. Este año 2019 será el 22 de Diciembre a las 4:19 de la mañana y marca la finalización del largo período de "oscuridad" para dar paso a un similar período, pero de Luz. El llamado Sol Invictus ha vencido a las tinieblas y ahora empieza su reinado de luz. Las festividades se celebraban con grandes banquetes, adornando las casas y las calles e intercambiándose regalos (cierto parecido con algo que conocemos ¿Verdad?). Las fiestas en las cuales el Foro Romano consagraba el Templo del dios Saturno duraban 7 días, en los cuales todo era permitido y se ofrecían sacrificios y banquetes públicos al grito de !Lo, Saturnalia! y era dirigida por un sacerdote que cambiaba según el dios al que se le rendía culto. Posteriormente estas fiestas, por demás paganas, fueron convertidas por la Iglesia Católica como la celebración del nacimiento de Jesús. Es decir todo ese paganismo y adoración a dioses e ídolos se mantiene hasta hoy en las manifestaciones festivas del fin de año, solo cambiaron al personaje, pues considerando que no es ésta la verdadera fecha del nacimiento de Jesús, seguiríamos celebrando Saturnalias. El nacimiento de nuestro Salvador Jesucristo vino a traer una verdadera luz en el camino de muchos de nosotros, descarriados y confusos quienes fuimos llamados y salimos de "las tinieblas a su luz admirable" (1Pedro 2:9) Veamos algunos testimonios de LA LUZ...
