During my doctorate, I was a Fulbright Visiting Researcher at the City University of New York - CUNY (Queens College and The Graduate Center), between Fall 2016 and Spring 2017. I have a master's degree in Social Anthropology at the Federal University of Paraná State (UFPR) in Brazil, with an academic exchange at the University of Brasília (UnB), through PROCAD/Capes Program. I have a Bachelor’s in Social Communication - Journalism also at the UFPR. I developed teaching activities in Brazilian higher education in the Department of Social Communication and Department of Anthropology at the UFPR; in the Department of Communication and Expression at the Federal Technological University of Paraná State (UTFPR); as well as in the Anthropology Postgraduate Program at the Federal University of Dourados Region (PPAnt/UFGD), where I also carried out a post-doctoral research internship. As a researcher in the field of Anthropology, I have been working on the following subjects: environment, culture, and society, socio-environmental conflicts, and traditional populations; urban anthropology, anthropology of education, moral anthropology, anthropology of neoliberalism, schooling ethnography, social markers of difference, bullying and extreme events of youth violence. I am also interested in the themes of teaching and learning in Anthropology, ethnographic and academic writing, qualitative research methodologies, and science outreach. I obtained honorable mentions in the Anthropology and Human Rights Award 2018, in the Doctoral Work category, and in the Teaching Anthropology Award 2022, in the category Best Work in Teaching Anthropology in Brazil, both promoted by the Brazilian Association of Anthropology (ABA), entity in which today I am a member of its Human Rights Commission. The present dissertation offers an anthropological perspective on the agency of the notion of bullying as a category of social accusation in the Brazilian contemporary everyday life. Born as a scientific construct during the 1970’s in the Scandinavian region, the concept of bullying, within the Western civilization course that now recognizes moral character aggressions, gave a name to typically school-based conducts of systematic intimidation between peers. In Brazil, the notion of bullying is popularized only later, in the first decade of the 2000’s. The concept’s dissemination in the country, even beyond the walls of educational institutions, occurs in a specific sociopolitical period: an unprecedented moment in the national history for the operation of a set of economic inclusion and social diversity policies, leveraged by the presidential governments of the Workers’ Party (PT). These state initiatives bring to the fore secular tensions regarding alterities and inequalities of different natures that have always been present in the Brazilian society. Such framework unleashes a series of disputes and confrontations that the agency of the bullying notion works to translate, to communicate and, at the same time, to instigate. In order to problematize this scenario, this investigation presents itself as a multi-sited ethnography, pursuing bullying agencies in different domains – scientific, state-owned, educational, marketing and media – on micro, intermediate and macro sociological scales, by means of ordinary and extraordinary events. The results point, on the one hand, to a construct that, once legitimated scientifically and politically, proves itself potent in triggering processes of subjectivation and strategies of militancy, capable of denouncing a range of segregations and acting on them. On the other hand, however, these mobilizations find limits in the exact measure that the concept has been subsidizing neoliberal population management efforts, which demand the self-government of individuals for the ideal pacification, through suspending broad ethical and political contexts and consequently with the perpetuation of inequalities. Considering this double facet of the bullying construct is therefore essential for thinking about academic productions, public policies, school intervention programs, products and services, and also the news coverage which were in action in the past, active in the present, and to be planned in the future in favor of human rights and social justice.

Located on the Superagüi Island, Paraná State (Brazil), Barra de Ararapira‟s fishing village covers a territory in constant change. A natural erosion process – caused in a place called "barra" – imposes on its inhabitants the need for periodic transfer of buildings on land and fishing routes. In 1997, when the enlargement of the Superagüi National Park, Barra de Ararapira was included within this protected area whose limits are given by some fixed coordinates that not match with the mobility of the village territory. Occurs so the clash between two distinct rationalities: on one hand, a group with strong ties to their place thanks to the constant memory exercise; on the other, a public policy in which national parks are strictly protected areas where human action is forbidden to ensure the planet future. This ethnography is proposed to approach the issue of territoriality in Barra de Ararapira, from the plot of its "cosmography", bounded by five items: occupation history stored in the collective
memory; affective ties with the territory; ownership; social use given to the space and its protection mechanisms. The fieldwork revealed that kinship ties and religious devotion operate as native languages to rebuild, organize and reflect on a territory in constant transformation. Moreover, it showed how those elements are activated by fishermen in situations of territorial defense.

This article experiments with a genre of writing, the flash ethnography, to present the story of a woman who, affected by a rare disease, livesan unexpected lossofher corporalmovements. Esperança’sillness, asI call herfictionally, disrupts a network of care that she led for many years, in which shemoved between different generations. The significant disorderlived bythiswoman entails a series of family negotiations that lead to a reflection onthe erasure of the essential reproduction sphere in the capitalist system.Flash ethnography, as defined by Nomi Stone and Carole McGranahan, constitutes a path of ethnographic writing that dispenses the existence of a broader research project. The textual genreentailscompressednarratives, closed by themselves, however, equally fruits of a lively intersubjective encounter with otherness. In this vein, the manuscript that I present hasthe form of a short tale, also inspired by autoethnography, which sees literary discursivity as a legitimate means of narration when the researcher andthe personresearched coincide. In my case, there is no such correspondence, but a degree of proximity to the facts that mobilize the narration. This article discusses the theoretical and ethnographic contributions employed to contemplate the multi-sited nature of an anthropological study on the agency of the bullying notion in the contemporary Brazilian context. Such enterprise was characterized by hybridizing different contexts – educational, governmental, scientific, media and market –, at micro, intermediate and macro scales of research. An investigative architecture along these lines is not given beforehand, but outlined in the course of an ethnographic journey in which reflexivity appears maximized, considering that the anthropologist not only needs to think about his object of study, but simultaneously analyze all the time the boundaries of his fieldwork. To illustrate this process, the article narrates ethnographic events through which holographic and complex links between the different contexts and scales have been established, at the same time significant to the researcher and her interlocutors for the purposes of the investigation. Introduction: The paper presents an experience report about the project “School in quarantine: an anthropological archive of educational memories”, originated in April 2020 and hosted on a virtual platform. This initiative has the aim of promoting social learning, the management of knowledge, as well as open and citizen science, during the period of the emergency remote teaching in Brazil, in the face of the Covid-19 pandemic. Method: The project is operationalized based on an ethnographic inspiration, which comes from its origins in the Anthropology of Education as a disciplinary subfield. Results: The initiative reached the mark of five hundred participants and has already generated more than a hundred shared contents. Also, it has achieved repercussions in the media. Conclusion: The expectation is that the project will be continued as long as the emergency remote education. Furthermore, in the future, it is expected that the virtual boundaries will be crossed in order to democratize the knowledge accumulated in other formats.

Abstract: Based on data from a multi-sited ethnography about the agency of the bullying construct in different contexts, including the Brazilian legislative, this article analyzes the seeming contradiction surrounding the creation of the National Program to Combat Systematic Intimidation (Law n. 13.185 / 2015), at the same time that there are legal
vetoes to educational approaches on gender and sexuality within
Brazilian educational institutions. The conception of the referred
program receives in this article a genealogical problematization, in
a Foucaultian sense. Later, there is a debate regarding its relationship
with the insurgencies against the school discussion on gender
and sexuality. In conclusion, the article demonstrates that the materialization of such a dilemma constitutes less a defect and more
an effect, to support structures of inequality and secular oppression
of the Brazilian State, as well as being favorable to the local adaptations
in benefit of a neoliberal normativity in the country nowadays.

Abstract: This paper deals with theoretical, methodological and ethical questions raised when embracing children as subjects of research in an ethnography of the agency of the bullying concept in Brazilian contemporaneity. In order to situate these challenges in an empirical context, the paper delineates as a case study the connections that children today make between the agency of this concept and the attribution of pejorative nicknames among school peers. Keywords: Bullying. ABSTRACT:
The article discusses the agency of bullying notion in the Brazilian reality, anchored in the ethnography of school experience of a student in a public educational institution, located in the Rio Grande do Sul State (Brazil). The ethnographic narrative of this child trajectory is powerful to evidence ambiguities that permeate today the bullying agency. These ambiguities are obscured in the current public debate due to the scientific credibility of the concept. Such ambivalences report the existence of victims of bullying more legitimate than others; the prerogative of a speech about the differences to the detriment of the question about inequalities; besides the coeval operability of bullying with other constructs with contemporary efficiency, like the medicalization.

Abstract: In an effort to realize an anthropological reflection about the moral
development of bullying in Brazilian contemporary context, my doctoral thesis in progress
has comprehended it as a “device” in Foucault’s sense. Bullying means in English the
act resulting from the substantive “bully”, which means something close to “brigão” or
“valentão” in Portuguese. Scientific construct from the 70’s, whose authorship is attributed
to the psychologist and Swedish researcher Dan Olweus, bullying has been spreading globally
to name and to combat the intimidation and the repetitive daily aggression, especially among
peers in school environments. In this light, the study is founded on the fundamental triad
to Foucault’s thought – “fields of knowledge”, “types of normativity” and “forms of
subjectivity” – for the analysis of multiple experiences that have defined bullying as a type of
violence diffuse in Brazil today, in a variety of contexts, including the education, the State,
the science, the media and the marketing.

In contemporaneity, in Brazil and in the West, the collective imagination has been found a strong association between the practice of bullying and episodes of extreme juvenile violence. This article proposes to explore the intricacies of this link from an anthropological approach and, therefore, uses ethnography as a primordial element. Based on data obtained from fieldwork carried out in the Brazilian and American scenarios, the analysis highlights the tensions surrounding the agency of bullying notion triggered by two emblematic juvenile tragedies: the armed attacks at Columbine High School (Colorado, United States) and at the Tasso da Silveira Municipal School (Realengo neighborhood, City of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil), which occurred respectively in 1999 and 2011, both with fatal victims. The conclusion points to the importance of ethnographic investment in the task of politicizing the debate on youth violence in a specifically national context, as opposed to generalizations from an international sphere.

Elias. Therefore, it serves up from another “device”, the literature, especially focused on children and youth. Through comparative exercise between modes of governmentality fostered by dated literary content, this effort linked to reflections coming from a media ethnography in progress, the article aims to identify conditions and motivations why, in contemporary times, typified practices as bullying, which undoubtedly not are new, become “the object of a moral concern”, to use Foucault's expression. The article approaches the conflict over the commerce carried out by the Kaingang people in a tourist town located in the Gaucho Highlands, southern Brazil, under the light of the socio-historical process of elaboration of the city's iconic identity. Despite the government and other local social segments opposing to their marketing activities, with the justification of a required commercial regulation, it is advocated here that the dispute has a deeper explanation-the shock with the town's representative identity, which is centered in the idea of a successful ethnic blend, provided by the German and Italian colonization. This shock occurs not only by the presence of the indians in the city, but also by the w of trade undertaken by them, classified as itinerant, as well as by the type of product sold, characterized as industrialized and made in Asia. From this central discussion, other historical and/or contemporary identity contrasts are discussed.

the field work space: stock markets, which are central entities in implementing global
markets nowadays. Financial institutions in São Paulo, Chicago, London and Shanghai hosted these ethnographic projects. The reflection written here embraces the basic assumption of ethnography as a constitutive element of anthropological knowledge construction, in other words, it is not restricted to a methodology. In this sense, the essay seeks to make evident how the content of that mentioned trio of ethnographies open possibilities for thinking about both classical and contemporary disciplinary themes, among them, the gift rituals, the global economy, religion and emotions. In this effort, care-giving is evident in aspects of gender, as ethnographies are signed by three women. Moreover, some attention is dedicated to East-West and North-South relationship, as shown by the anthropological papers involved have been given in different locations worldwide.

In Barra de Ararapira fisherman village, kinship operates as a language that allows to realize, think, express and organize a space in constant transformation. The village is undergoing a process of natural erosion, because of this, its residents have been transferring, secularly, residence areas and fishing routes. This natural situation resulted in an own territorial law, oriented by a genealogical content, which differs radically from other forms of space organizing, such as private property or public domain. This conflict materializes with the overlap to the fishermen village of the Superagüi National Park in 1997, a state instrument for protection of natural areas, where human presence is vetoed in order to ensure the conservation objectives.

This article presents the process of formulating the strategic planning for organizational communication, developed in the context of a consulting process, for the internet company Agenda Fácil, which provides a platform for online scheduling services. As of this case study, the present work discusses the methodology of building plans of organizational communication, in particular the specificity of accomplishing them to companies that are born, grow and operate exclusively on the internet. It starts from the assumption that the scenario of the current technological revolution, with its informational speed, challenges the act of planning, a reflective, calculated and not precipitate effort. Nevertheless, it is quite clear that the planning, as a tool for action, not only has a great aptitude for contextual adaptation but also endures as a unique tool for conducting an effective organizational communication.

I write these lines not only as an external investigator of facts, but also as a witness entangled in the events. I seek to put into practice the teachings of the Indian anthropologist Veena Das, for whom witnessing is a potent act, one capable of going beyond the account of a particular drama, one which offers evidence of evils engendered in the social fabric as a whole. More than that, according to Das, witnessing helps us to remove debris to live every day in an environment wherein relations of sociability among fellow citizens have been violently damaged.
